Hakim's Bookstore & Gift Shop

It's one of the best bookstores i have ever been to. The staff are pillars full of knowledge and books. The selection is diverse, and they are including new literature as well. Shouts out to the entire kids section of books as well

It was perfect! We found just what we wanted. My granddaughter got three books immediately upon arriving. I was able to purchase a book for my great nephew also! The prices are reasonably! We'll be back soon!

This store is a historical land mark! Let us support our sister Yvonne and go learn some actual history.

Went in, haven't been here in some time. Glad I stopped in, purchased two books, had some great dialogue. The best Gem in West Philadelphia, and a Historic Landmark.

When i came from NoCal this was #1 on my place to visit. Located in W. Phill, a short walk from the train. I went to get ONE book for my mom...i left with a education lesson from a young man and (4) books for myself... Oh and some earrings for my sister. 💚💙

Great selection of children's book from black authors. I did get to really check out the other genres but seems to be a really good variety. Friendly and engaging staff. Good prices too. Definitely my new book spot.

On Valentine's day, we went to Philly from NY for a day trip. My wife is an avid reader, so I made sure to include a bookstore on the agenda. Well let's just say, it is more than a bookstore. We left with paintings and clothes as well! Great place, even greater people!
