Coronavirus U.K. Restaurant Closures Boost Deliveroo and Uber Eats Delivery | Eater London

"A Michelin-starred Chinese restaurant that was reported to be joining a delivery platform in the days following widespread restaurant closures, indicating a move toward delivery-only operations while maintaining its high-end Chinese cuisine reputation." - Adam Coghlan

Anne Sophie Pic and Clare Smyth Plan International Women’s Day Dinner | Eater London

"Described as a once‑highly regarded but now 'faded' Michelin‑level destination, this upscale Chinese restaurant was used as the venue for Will Self to promote his Chinese New Year fortune macarons; the promotion was notable for Self’s public jab at Booker‑nominated author Sally Rooney, calling her work 'no literary ambition' and prompting commentary about the irony of critiquing literature while selling six‑word fortunes." - James Hansen

Great place and fantastic service. Tried their veg and non-veg dishes. Both were good. Stir fry chicken and chicken spicy dumplings were the best. Try their 5 rice chilli combo, superb! That too veg. Place is great for a small group. Do book in advance.

A very good place but needlessly expensive. I guess they don't want common citizens to eat there. Class divide clearly shows.

We dined at Hakkasan Mumbai tonight and, while the space is beautiful and the service was polite, the overall experience did not live up to the premium pricing or the reputation of the brand. The biggest disappointment was the cocktail pricing. We ordered very standard drinks — a Negroni and a Paloma — and were charged approximately $40 per cocktail. At that price point, you expect truly exceptional creativity, presentation, or ingredients, but these were simply average. If a restaurant chooses to price cocktails at this level, they really need to deliver something ultra high-end to justify it. Otherwise, it feels excessive and out of proportion to what you’re actually getting. We had dined the night before at Bastian at the Top, and the contrast was striking. Bastian was on another level entirely — the views from the 47th floor, the energy, the food, the drinks, and even the value for money were all significantly better. Their cocktails were roughly 50% less expensive, yet far more impressive in both taste and presentation. That experience absolutely set a high benchmark, and unfortunately Hakkasan did not meet it. Overall, Hakkasan is not bad by any means, but it feels overpriced for what it offers. With so many outstanding dining options in Mumbai, I expected more in terms of both value and wow factor. For us, it ended up being a 3 out of 5 — decent, but not memorable, and not somewhere I would rush back to given the pricing.

I’ve been to a few other Hakkasan around the world, this one was fine as far as food goes, everything was good other than the Chilean sea bass. What gives it lower marks is I was pushed to order more, and then we wasted food. We were two adults and three kids and our server was acting like my three kids would eat like adults. We spent 35,000 rupees which is absurdly expensive for the city. The same meal would have been maybe 2-3000 rupees less in the US. If you are going to charge that much, then service and plating need to be better. Do not upsell people, leaves a really bitter taste.

This is my second visit to Hakkasan. As always, brilliant food and even better service. The staff were pleasant in particular, Apam, which lifted the overall experience. Had the pleasure of meeting the man behind the scene Chef Raymond. Special thanks to Dhananjay Gowda for making the experience even more memorable with his recommendations to suit all our fussy palettes.

I recently revisited this upscale Chinese restaurant for brunch, despite previous underwhelming experiences. Unfortunately, the lack of natural light and overuse of tacky blue lights remained a major turnoff. The ambiance, while appealing to some, doesn’t resonate with me. The food, while reasonably priced during brunch, didn't change my opinion about Chinese cuisine in Bombay. It still feels like a generic Chinese restaurant in a five-star hotel. On a positive note, the staff was attentive and well-trained, with noticeably more staff members on deck. The addition of a smoking cabin upstairs was convenient, and the toned-down music was a welcome change. The unlimited flow of good brand cocktails was a great value. While this restaurant still isn't my favorite, I appreciate the positive changes in price, smoking area, and music volume.

"Hakkasan, Bandra West, is a stylish and sophisticated spot, but the food doesn't quite live up to the hype. Ambiance: 5/5 - Elegant decor, perfect for special occasions. Service: 5/5 - Attentive and knowledgeable staff. Food: 3/5 - While the Cantonese cuisine is good, it's not exceptional. Some dishes feel overpriced and lacking in flavor. Must-try dishes include the Peking Duck, but other options are hit-or-miss. Cocktails: 5/5 - Innovative and expertly crafted. Overall, Hakkasan is a great spot for a night out, but foodies might find it just average. Rating: 3.5/5 stars"

We had great interaction with Hardik who is working as restaurant manager and Mathotmi was our server. Hardik introduced us about restaurant and Mathotmi explained us about drinks and food. Also they suggested us food and drinks too. Food was authentic and well presented and explained by the server. We had great time and I hope to visit again soon. Thanks.
