I highly recommend this place. The food was really good and everyone in the staff was lovely. I had the butter chicken, plain rice, garlic naan and a mango lassi. All of it was 10/10

The Tandoori Mixed Grill was excellent and they very kindly gave me some additional lamb. The free samosas were also a very nice touch. Would definitely recommend!

I had Meat Samosa as a starter and the Chicken Vindaloo with mushroom rice. My mum had the Prawn Vindaloo with mushroom rice. We both really enjoyed our meal, rice was well seasoned, chicken was tender and the sauce not too spicy. Roman catered to us and really gave amazing customer service. Attentive, polite and quick. I found myself warmly welcomed by the staff, especially as a rare Hong Kong local who truly appreciates their Indian cuisine. My brother had been eager to visit this place for a very long time, and I’m glad I was able to fulfill his wish. I’ve dined at this restaurant three times, and each visit has been consistently perfect. The staff are polite and attentive, and the food is always served hot. After paying the bill, they even offer orange slices and delightful candies as a finishing touch. They also took a photo for me and brought me water without me having to ask.

Excellent food, with good prices and very good service. The suggestions that they give to us were perfect. Really really recommended.

My second visit to this restaurant and i absolutely love it. They’ve kept the same old vibe of the place. It’s so underrated and deserves more attention. Ordered Bhuna Gosht, Garlic Chicken, Garlic Naan, Sweet Lassi and Gulab Jamun. Bhuna Gosht was super hot but so tasty so couldn’t stop. Their Gulab Jamun is so amazing. Definitely worth the visit.

Enjoyed a *wonderful* lunch! The service was attentive and food was absolutely delicious, piping hot, ready fast (but did not feel at all rushed) and very reasonably priced.

Very very tasty food. Good hygiene. Cheap price. Good quantity of items. They provide water to drink and small portion of salad with food which we rarely get to see at others economical restaurant. They charge min 10% service charge, to max 30% service charge on final bill depends on customer wish. Toilets are slightly untidy.

Reserved for ten people, placed at a table for eight with nine chairs. Service was friendly but a bit rushed. Plates and glasses were not very clean, but they made no problem replacing items. The restaurant is not very suited for little children: plates and service dishes are quite hot (this is obviously not a complaint!) and pose a danger for kids. Food was nice enough, but uninspiring and did not live up to the expectations.

Came to the restaurant in hopes of a nice Indian meal. They squeezed us in without a reservation, which was nice of them. Their portions are small for the price and they charge for everything so careful when they ask you if you'd like pappadam or water. Had a lamb Gosht that was nice, and the worst chicken tikka Marsala I've ever had in my life. Definitely wouldn't recommend.

Terribly saddened to submit this review, but this restaurant was one that I was anticipating to try and visit. Having previously worked next door to the place and intrigued by their long history of standing there and having 'legendary' food, I was hoping it would be worth the go. The vegetarian samosas were average and their Bombay potatoes, mushroom Bhaji and rice needed a pinch of salt. Aside from the great mango lassi size (that was not too sweet) and the kind waiters and friendly service I'd wish I could rate this higher. After a happy meal to end a Friday dinner evening with a friend I spent the worst night in bed with crazy stomach pain and indigestion. This restaurant truly needs to work on cooking their ingredients properly and pay closer attention to their hygiene. Considering the reputation this place has, I expected more. As I am writing this interview and considering a visit to the GP soon now, I recommend those who are prone to food poisoning easily, avoid going here.

The Halal is a very well established and popular Indian Restaurant serving quality Indian food at very reasonable rates. The staff are very friendly and the lunchtime regulars are happy to share tables with you if necessary. Don't go there for a light lunch, once you see the specials board you will want to try everything. It really is no frills good food.

The service was crap, food was below average, and atmosphere wasn't great. Price wise isn't that cheap and they charge for every thing.

I love my curry and this by far is the best curry house in the city. Once you get over the ageing decor and wobbly stairs and the waiters tired waist jackets, you will enjoy their great Indian cuisine.
