Where to Eat the Best Burgers in Seattle | Eater Seattle

"Operating out of a ghost kitchen in Capitol Hill and now in the University District, Halal Smash BRGR has four burgers on the menu, each centered on its own handcrafted sauce: classic, smoky, truffle (with mushrooms), and spicy. The use of fresh halal ground beef (and other ingredients that meet halal standards) allows area Muslims to enjoy good, classic burgers, but the quality has drawn accolades from non-Muslims as well. There’s even halal beef bacon, featured on the smoky burger and as one of the toppings on the decadent loaded fries. Know before you go: “Ghost kitchen” means that there’s no seating, this is a takeout and delivery restaurant." - Jay Friedman

The customer service is fantastic. They really care about the quality of their food and customer satisfaction. Burgers are insanely good! These are probably the best burgers in town. The patties are smashed to perfection. The flavor combinations of the burgers are to die for. I think about the truffle burger a lot. Truffle mushrooms, caramelized onions and Swiss cheese is my favorite combo!

An amazing burger, probably some of the best burgers I’ve had in my life, just the problem was the wait time and the price. Got 2 burgers and fries for… $46?!?! And the wait was… 40 minutes?!?! Also it’s a ghost kitchen which I do have mixed feelings about-they feel less authentic. But hey, the food was spectacular… basically worth it. Owners if you see this, PLEASE LOWER THE PRICE 🙏

Burgers from here are consistently amazing! Their smoky sauce is the best. Definitely rec checking this out for flavorful burgers. They are super accommodating with changes and helpful if anything is wrong with the order.

One of the best smash burgers we have ever had. But you need two patties for it to blow your mind! We took smoky smash with extra patty, spicy lover smash and a truffle mushroom smash with an extra patty. The patties were perfectly smashed with crisp peripheries and the burger had right amount of sauces.

You order from kiosk and grab food from a locker when its done. They got bunch of shops to choose from kind of makes me wonder what that kitchen space and design looks like or is it the same couple people just reheating food in the back. Burger was good but would think with how minimal the operation is the food would be cheaper.

Just wanted some fries and was trying to find a place with a good review. The fries are excellent. Caramelized onions on top of the fries do really give layers of flavor. Going to have to try their burgers as I was told that they are the best.

Google
One of the best burgers in the Greater Seattle area. Crispy edges, beef bacon is AMAZING. They don’t skimp on the fries like a lot of burger places. The plain fries are a perfect crispy texture, and the season fries are very very good. The smoky sauce is the better sauce, but the fry sauce is also good. The shakes are creamy, real ice cream and thick. The parking is typical downtown Seattle-like street parking, circle the blocks a few times and you’ll eventually find something. The ordering process is a little bit different as well. You order online as normal. Around the time your order is to be done, you walk into the little shop and scan a QR code to determine if your food is ready or not. They didn’t give you a locker link via text message, once you tap that it’ll open the locker where your food is. Overall, we will definitely be back.

We placed our order through the kiosk in the suite, took a quick stroll outside, and returned about 10 minutes later to find our food ready for pickup from the locker. We were thrilled with the variety of halal burger options and absolutely loved all four flavors we tried—especially the Smokey Smash and Spicy Smash.

Yelp
This place is out of a movie. You order at a kiosk in a building on Roosevelt and your food is placed in a locker. It's kinda fun and exciting as there are smells of Thai, Mexican, and burgers. When I went there there were like 8 tech looking dudes all waiting in this little room and various cars pulling up for pick up orders. The ghost kitchen is hidden and I imagine the same cook having a huge amount of ingredients for larb, tacos, and crumbled halal beef. I wondered if the cook got something mixed up like a Carmelo's tacos smash burger. Maybe it's my imagination. The smash burgers are delicious and fatty. They remind me of a hybrid between Dicks and Lil Woodies smashed together with some secret spices that remind me of Johnny seasoning. I really love smash burgers for the size and flavor punch. The secret sauce was light and added flavor to the halal beef/bacon substitutes. The fries seemed double fried which are my favorite. I was reminded of a delicious burger I saw at Bamboo sushi and it was massive. The smash burger is just the right size and not too huge. Lunchbox laboratory used to make huge burgers and I just can't fit those in my stomach anymore. Size to me does matter with oz of meat. I don't think you will be disappointment with the quality and value. You may be surrounded by 10 dudes with Edgar haircuts and Mark Zuckerberg clones with strong Zara cologne.

Yelp
I came again and tried the loaded fries. The loaded fries had sooo many toppings and were delicious. I liked the beef bacon so it didn't have too much fat.

Yelp
The fake heart shaped leaves are falling off the wall and my heart is down turned at the present we are living in. The year is 2025, same as in the movie Her, in which a man falls in love with AI; human interactions are sparse and unfulfilling. Cities can be cursed places. Not to be one of those people but what happens when we trade "convenience" for a surveillance state? Sure, if I ordered ahead of time, I wouldn't have been on camera or recorded as long, but still, we are being watched. The mushroom Smashburger was delicious, one of the best I've had in a while. Seasoned fries also great. Vibes? Not

Yelp
No complaints about the food whatsoever. One of the best burgers and fries around. But if I'm gonna pay almost $15+ for a burger, the fries shouldn't be another $5.50, especially for what seems to be a small. Add on a couple dipping sauces and a coke and lunch was $30 With it being a shared community type kitchen space and just a 5x7 room where u pick up the food with no human interaction, I think it's a bit over priced.
