Where To Eat & Drink In St. Louis

"Just like summer and that vintage Furby you ordered from eBay, Half & Half’s brunch is worth the wait. Everyone else in the Clayton area woke up with the same idea as you, but if you stick around, you’ll get to basically eat dessert for breakfast. The eggs here are good, but stick with the sweeter breakfast options, like the s’mores french toast or the blueberry pancakes. And if you’re not willing to wait it out for brunch, they serve breakfast during the week too." - jen maylack

It’s not very often that you can walk in on a weekend and get a table without a wait. Today happened to be one of those rare occasions and it was perfection from the moment we parked through paying our bill. This location on Maryland Ave can sometimes be a challenge to park near. Even with metered street parking and a parking lot in back spaces fill up quick. The restaurant is small but offers both indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor patio is fully covered offering shade on a hot summer day. The menu is full of delicious food perfect for Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner. The portion sizes are large and packed with flavor. Great for the whole family.

Had an amazing brunch at Half & Half! We ordered three plates (yes, we came hungry) along with a fresh orange juice and a latte — and everything was absolutely delicious. The skillet with eggs and Brussels sprouts was cooked perfectly, hearty and flavorful. The sandwich with eggs and crispy potatoes on the side hit all the comfort food notes — golden, cheesy, and satisfying. And the pancake? Soft, fluffy, and topped with a generous scoop of what tasted like berry butter — a sweet finish to the meal. Drinks were spot on too — the latte was smooth and creamy with Vanilla , and the orange juice was freshly squeezed and refreshing. The place itself has a cozy and inviting vibe with lots of natural light — a perfect brunch atmosphere. And I’ve got to shout out our server Maggie — she was genuinely wonderful: friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. Definitely coming back. Highly recommend

Google
Good basic food. Had a great server. The eggs were cooked perfect. I love that They have sourdough toast. We loved the feta omelette. Really great blend of flavors. As you see below, the only challenge sometimes is finding parking in this part of Clayton. Hopefully they’ll be a spot on the street you can grab and you can pay for it with an app.

I had the blackberry cheesecake stuffed French toast with melted white chocolate and he had a fried egg sandwich. We both had the breakfast potatoes for sides and I sipped on a cappuccino alongside my food. All the staff were incredibly attentive and I love it every time I come visit. Thank you half and half!

Google
Food was great but we had to wait over 1 hour when we were told 35 minutes. They have a systems where they allow ppl who reserve from Yelp (online) to get in front of walk ins on the list. Horrible. We waited for more than 1 hour with kids. Restaurant was about to close by the time we got sat. Once we were sat , service and food was fast , great and tasty. No problem. But would not return. We want on Sunday day afternoon btw.

Everything was great. The server was amazing. She was very welcoming. The coffee was great, I ordered the iced sugar cookie latte, and blueberry cheesecake stuffed French toast. 😋 It was very busy around 1230 to closing. There was a 15 minute wait.

Half & Half in Clayton is the kind of breakfast spot that’s always buzzing with energy, and for good reason. I decided to try their salmon hash, and let me tell you, it was a total treat. Salmon can sometimes feel a bit heavy and too overpowering for breakfast, but not here—it was perfectly balanced. #stlouispescatarianapproved The hash came swimming in this amazing sauce (seriously, I could have eaten it with a spoon) and was loaded with spinach and potatoes. Every bite was just so lovely. If you’re looking for a casual spot with great vibes and even better food, this is it.

Google
Half & Half was a great change from the traditional large chain breakfast restaurants. They're pretty busy on weekend mornings so put yourself on the waiting list and time your arrival and all will be well. We love breakfast food, I've tried a number of the morning breakfast items. We've visited 3 times in the last 2 weeks!

Yelp
Our server was so kind! A 30 minute wait wasn't bad (we stopped at some of the nearby shops) and got a seat in 20 minutes. The food was so good we were overwhelmed, but do NOT sleep on the coffee! Homemade caramel sauce and beans from Blueprint coffee. A nice brunch spot with friends or a coffee date. I would suggest parking behind the suit shop if you can! Much easier than parking on the street.

Yelp
Top 3 favorite breakfast spots in the Lou'. First, I HIGHLY recommend the yelp waitlist and after around 9:30 am on the weekend you're looking at roughly 60 to 120 minutes of wait time so plan accordingly. We get the Blt omelette almost every single visit and rotate between crispy potatoes, arugula salad, or Brussels sprouts as the desired side. The atmosphere is quaint farm forward with a bright lively vibe. I recommend the raspberry preserve with the sourdough and the bread choice and the cappuccinos are absolutely delightful. A must for those anywhere near Clayton. For nice days, a small patio is an option for alfresco dining.

Yelp
Luv it!! Never disappointed. Sadly, I forgot to take 'before' photos, so I'll post during photos. First, I ordered the Cali Omelet, perfect combo of the west cost not too Mex flavor but healthy ( see menu) Best part ,Biscuits !!! They a baked to turn out extra delectable crispy edges. Second,Topped off this breakfast/ brunch meal with amazing Pumpkin Latte! Good spice balance & coffee, smooth. Service , staff & neighborhood wonderful. My out of town family visits , we come here. Enjoy.

Yelp
" Delicious breakfast " This place is great for breakfast. It's outside of Boston but not too far out . The breakfast tastes fresh and made with wholesome ingredients. They have gluten free and vegan items as well . This place is for your health conscious client . The service is super friendly, and attentive. The vibe is welcoming. Parking is not an issue.

Yelp
Busy place! But definitely worth a stop in. I personally like going solo and sitting at the bar (if I can get a spot). Irish coffee was yummy, mimosas delish, and French toast is fabulous!

Yelp
This restaurant was busy but the wait was not too bad. Service was great. The ambiance was nice as well but the food was a hit. We enjoyed everything we ordered. We ordered a combo breakfast and tried the french toast and pancake. To have French toast or pancake, it's ala cart. $45 for two people but was definitely worth it. I would return again. The portions are enough to share so we took a to go box. Also have to pay to park, only street parking which is the standard in Clayton.

Yelp
Phenomenal potatoes, probably the best breakfast potatoes I've had so far. The food and coffee was also best good. There were many vegetarian options, we ordered the breakfast tacos and roasted tomato sandwich. They also had fresh pumpkins so we got pumpkin lattes. 100% recommend for a great breakfast.

Yelp
Picked up some half and half for the first time and I must say, it was a pretty solid spot. Tried and true, Half and Half serves up some satisfying breakfast bites. I went with a sausage biscuit as I am on a biscuit kick. The biscuit was solid. Super buttery, flaky, and moist. It is very crumbly, but no biggie, breakfast is supposed to be messy. The breakfast sausage is solid as well. Good little spice and they serve up 2 links on the biscuit. The aioli offers a great tang to counter the flavor of the sausage. The best part? I have to say was the breakfast potatoes. They taste and look as fresh and homecooked as you can get. Perfectly salted. They are big chunks of potato so the exterior is crispy, but the inside is still soft. The perfect balance. I ordered takeout and it was ready when I got there. All of the workers greeted me with a smile. The interior is quaint just as a breakfast spot should be. They have a really nice little patio on the street that I'd love to sit at sometime.

Yelp
I had been hearing about this place for years and it definitely lived up to the hype! This place was busy, so be sure to call ahead for a table or join the waitlist on Yelp if you can. Despite the restaurant being packed and having a 20-minute wait, the service was efficient and our food came out hot and fast. The children's meals, grilled salmon BLT, and breakfast fried rice were all delicious. The pancake wedges on the kid's meal were the best pancakes I've ever had. The breakfast fried rice starter was well seasoned and flavorful. I had a bite of the grilled salmon BLT and it was tasty and the portion of salmon was good size! Highly recommend checking this place out if you're in the area.

Yelp
Great place! What I got the avocado toast, blueberry pancakes and a latte. The avocado toast was decent. No complains. Yes it is a little plain but if avoiding dairy and eggs this is it. Blueberry pancakes were okay for me - a bit eggy. The latte was great! They had non-dairy alternatives Environment Really nice seating outside. Located near the streets, parking may be a little difficult. Niceness of the staff Super nice staff. Sat outside and the waiter was always available and accessible. Dollar It was regularly priced Yes I would return here to chill and have a latte

Yelp
This restaurant has been featured in travel and leisure as one of the best breakfast spot in the US. We went there for breakfast on a Saturday after reading about it. Before I start, the wait time as per yelp is around 70 minutes which made to think should I go ? I called the restaurant and I've been told most people tend to get on the waitlist even before they arrive and chances are better to get a table earlier and the person was kind enough to get me on the waiting list. In the end, it took me roughly 35 minutes to get a table vs what yelp said. So don't decide based on waitlist. I'm glad I called the restaurant. We ordered stake and eggs, cappuccino, hot chocolate and kids menu egg, bacon and toast. Stake and eggs : comes with stage , eggs, grilled Brussels sprouts , biscuit , butter and strawberry jam. Stake is juicy and perfectly cooked. I fell in love with the biscuit. One of the best I ever had in my life so that I got some to gos. Very rich and buttery. Kids plate: No complaint from my kid. He likes everything. I like the ambience. Nothing fancy. Simple and elegant. Tip: 1. Free parking is available on roadside or paid parking in garage across the street. 2. Get on the waitlist before you get ready. 3. If you are like me who likes coffee after breakfast. Better order after. I did the mistake of killing the time by ordering coffee .

Yelp
We went here for breakfast this past Saturday. The wait was about twenty minutes. This place is smaller than I thought. This place gets quite busy in the weekend. I sat at the table toward the door where some people stand to wait, so there were lots of people going back and forth near my seat. The food was decent size and taste good. The server was friendly.
google avatar

Ryan B.

Yelp
I love the patio seating option but it was full today and I didn't feel like waiting. I got the blackberry cheesecake French toast and it was gigantic. Enough for two people to split. Service was fast and the bartender was friendly and tentative. I'll be back to try the breakfast fried rice, biscuits and gravy and other fares and update the review. I only give 4 stars on first reviews because everyplace needs two opinions.

Yelp
Half & Half remains of my go-to brunch spots! I've never had a bad meal here, and you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Service can be a bit slow, but when the food is this good, it's worth the wait.

Yelp
Craving French Toast again...Lol I'm visiting home and a friend of mine suggested this place. We arrived on a Thursday at about 12 pm. It was crowded, but thankfully, we were able to be seated after a 5 min wait. Waitress was friendly and helpful. We started with drinks. Me a mimosa, and it was perfect. As far as food, of course I went for the FT, my friend ordered the breakfast fried rice. We both were highly satisfied. So much so I wanted to come back the next day to get the rice, but time didn't allow it. Half & Half has been added to my list of restaurants to visit when I'm home :)

Yelp
Great experience yesterday at Half & Half. I went to Half & Half around 1 pm and we were seated right away. Yelp has a waitlist feature that tells you how long the wait is and allows you to add your name to the waitlist as well. The waitlist stated that the wait was under 5 minutes. It was fantastic how quickly we were helped. My cousin actually works here when she is town but wasn't with me this time. She has a go-to which is the Breakfast Fried Rice and subs out the sausage for chorizo and it was AMAZING! It has scrambled eggs, sausage (chorizo for me), jalapeño, onion, cilantro and pineapple. I wish there was more pineapple in it because it made the entire dish. I saw online that someone got the blueberry pancakes and they looked amazing as well. I don't live in St Louis but next time I'm here I want to come back and try more dishes! They all looked yummy.

Yelp
My friend and I had a lovely breakfast at Half & Half! We put our names on the waitlist ahead of time and they gave us a check in time for brunch. I would definitely do this again to beat the crowd! We were seated shortly after checking in. Our server was very sweet and attentive! I ordered the breakfast tacos which were to die for! The tacos included chorizo, eggs, cheese, pico, and a tasty sauce. They came with crispy breakfast potatoes on the side. Would definitely order again! We ordered donuts for dessert which were equally delicious! They were warm and crispy, paired with chocolate sauce. They were a little heavy so we didn't finish them all. Overall, we had a great experience at Half & Half!

Yelp
I stopped in here for brunch with my girlfriends Saturday morning and what a cute spot! I'd definitely recommend joining the waitlist at least 30 minutes prior as it was VERY busy; we did so luckily we only waited maybe five minutes before our table was ready. There was also plenty of parking out front of the street and additional parking on those side streets throughout Clayton. Between our table we had the fruit salad, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, the BLT and various lattes and everything was so good. Shoutout to our waitress, also, she was such a gem and very attentive. This is a great brunch spot and I'll definitely be back!
google avatar

Kayla L.

Yelp
Service was good! The wait was about 30 mins on a Saturday around 1045! We had the blackberry cheesecake French toast, I had sausage and gravy. The gravy and/or biscuit was a little bit sweet!

Yelp
I'm giving Half & Half 5 stars because the food is SO delicious. However, if you're not a fan of crowds or community tables, this may not be the place for you, especially on the weekend. My friend and I joined the online waitlist about 1.5 hours before we arrived and still had to wait to sit at a table with 4 other strangers. I felt so claustrophobic but once the food came out, I was like "okay no wonder it's so crowded"! I ordered the French toast latte to start. It was perfect - the taste of the espresso, the flavoring, the temperature, the cute little mug... And then I ordered the breakfast tacos. OMG I was in disbelief, they were so amazing!! They ranked second only to the breakfast tacos in Austin, where that's "their thing", and it might even be a tie. My friend and I also ordered the blackberry French toast to split, which tasted delicious, even though we could barely take two bites since we were stuffed from our individual orders. If you appreciate a high quality breakfast and don't mind waiting or eating in a crowd, you won't want to miss Half & Half!!! P.S. like most places in Clayton, it's street parking, so give yourself extra time to walk a few blocks if needed.

Yelp
Best breakfast/brunch spot in STL! Hands down. I love everything on their menu, from drinks, hot plates, to sweet stuff. My go to are always the flat iron hash, tess toast, and the cinnamon honey latte. The flat iron served hot, side note, can be a bit heavy for breakfast but would be perfect for lunch. Staff are friendly and welcoming. This spot can be extremely crowded on the weekend so queuing on Yelp is super helpful. The wait can be a bit long but worth it!
google avatar

Yelp
Our first time visiting today. It was sooo delicious omg. The breakfast tacos were , those donuts delicious, my neice had the breakfast fried rice and it was very good. We joined the waitlist it's was a 45 mins wait. Service was great and ambiance was laid-back and chill. They also have an outside sitting area where u can eat. I can't wait to go back

Yelp
Joined friends for lunch and we were seated on the patio. It was a beautiful day and perfect patio weather. The only things to mar the outdoor experience was the super wobbly table and the patio space felt like it could use a good cleaning. When venturing inside, I felt the same vibe, a little tired spave, drab. Service was ok, kind of like the space, tired, just going through the motions. I don't think I saw her smile the whole time. I didn't catch her name as arrived a little late due to an accident on Ladue. I ordered the veggie hash. Brussels sprouts, spinach, onion, potatoes, topped with two over easy eggs. It was good overall. The potatoes were the best part, great flavor, tender and not dried out. It came with a biscuit, scratch made for sure. Oblong in shape with lots of butter. It was ok for the price. Overall, I think Half & Half needs to get back in the game. There are many more breakfast places to choose from now than when they first opened.
google avatar

Suraj S.

Yelp
Place was pretty busy when we got there, wish there was a bit more "waiting area" seating as it was super cold outside! However we did get sat in the promised amount of time. The food was solid, but could've been a bit better for the price. Got the flat iron steak hash. The steak itself was tasty. However the meal as a whole was a bit too "liquidy" to be a hash. Partially my fault for getting sunny side up eggs (but with most hash dishes that goes really well). I think a different type of potato like hash browns that soaked up the juice would be better. Needed more substance. However, the flavors that were there were quite good! Clara cakes were pretty good too, definitely not very sweet, so if you are looking for a classic sweet pancake dish I'd go for something else. Overall pretty good brunch place. I think for what I paid I'd like to have been more satisfied. Would be willing to try again as I think the other menu items may satisfy me more.
google avatar

Alonzo A.

Yelp
Definitely a local spot that typically has a wait. I went in during the week for breakfast. Inside is pretty big and was def busy. Pancakes arrived pretty quick and they were dense! Super heavy pancakes, couldn't finish all three. Pancakes were so dense that as soon as my syrup hit them, it absorbed immediately and somehow still needed more syrup lol. Prefer Original Pancake House's more right down the block. Sausage that I ordered was good but the outer skin was so tough, it almost popped off of my plate when cutting with a knife and fork. Half & Half does things pretty good. This was my 2nd time here and I'd come back.
google avatar

Pat A.

Yelp
My favorite bfast spot in town! Their biscuits and gravy is the best I've ever had. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Coffee is great as well. Switched it up and got the sausage biscuit. It was great with a side of gravy.

Yelp
We came to Half and Half upon the recommendation of basically everyone who lives in St. Louis. We were very lucky since we came in just at the right time, and we were seated right away. We got there around 10:30 on a Saturday so we were actually kind of surprised. The weight staff were very nice and the ambience was very cute. Overall, we were very impressed by both the food and the people. We ordered the steak skillet and the blackberry cheesecake French toast. The steak skillet was very very good and it was really elevated by the sauce that came along with it. The sauce was rich and creamy and coated your mouth in a very pleasant way. The steak itself was moderately tender and packed full of flavor. The toast was a nice textual contrast to the rest of the dish and overall I was very satisfied with the meal. However, the true star of the show was the French toast. With each bite, I felt like I had died and ascended to heaven. It was the perfect amount of sweetness, fruitiness, and richness. Imagine luscious blackberry cheesecake filling oozing from the layers. The creamy cheesecake mixture, delicately flavored with vanilla, is generously swirled with a vibrant blackberry compote, adding a sweet and tart burst of flavor. Each bite is a harmonious blend of crunchy, custardy French toast and the velvety richness of blackberry cheesecake. Overall, it was a delightful experience, and is probably on my must-try in STL for all newcomers, just for that French toast. 4.5/5 stars!

Tomas L.

Yelp
The pancakes and French toast are huge, but you can order a single which is more than enough, plus the person making the crispy bacon needs an award!
google avatar

Angelina L.

Yelp
I am absolutely in love with half & half. This place really gives you comfort hometown vibes in the best way. Located in the heart of Clayton, this small but mighty spot is amazing. The coffee is top notch with unique flavors. I always have wonderful service with good recommendations. The customers even have a friendly face. I ordered the "half and half" which comes with toast but a customer also eating at the bar recommended I do the biscuit instead of toast and I was not disappointed. The biscuit was buttery and moist( I know we all hate that word) but there is no other way to describe it.

Yelp
This is one of those places that you just keep going back to. This has been a favorite brunch spot of mine for a long time. My boyfriend isn't much of a brunch goer but I think he was equally excited when he tried the food! It's always busy, so definitely get in line and walk around or grab a coffee from their bar!

Samantha O.

Yelp
We went on a weekend and it was super busy, however staff did not let that bother them. They worked fast and efficient, and the kitchen was sending out food left and right. Everything was amazing

Yelp
Tried this place on the recommendation of several people. Expected to wait on a Saturday morning but did the Yelp Waitlist and got seated right away. Parking is a little challenging in Clayton but found a close spot. Restaurant was chilly but the waitstaff was incredibly busy so sure they appreciate the temp. Cappuccinos were excellent. My husband enjoyed his Eggs Benedict with chorizo and avocado. I ordered the breakfast biscuit sandwich (and hold the aioli). Food took awhile, 20 minutes for coffees, food in 30. My sandwich had the aioli but the waitress realized it and immediately brought a new huge biscuit which turned out to be the star. It was piping hot, quite crispy on the outside and so yummy and buttery. The donuts and mimosas looked amazing. The main dining room is noisy but can't help that with those mimosas flowing! We will be back!

Yelp
We probably didn't order the right things. Unfortunately it wasn't a great breakfast place for us. The experience and food was just underwhelming. We came on a Sunday which is a very busy day for a breakfast place but we were able to get a table. We got seated at a tall table next to a family. Not my first choice but we took the opportunity to get seated. I got the half & half which is the 2 eggs, potatoes, toast but instead of toast I got fruits. My fiancé got the eggs Benedict with chorizo and guac. The staff recommended the chorizo and they mentioned it was made in house. This intrigued us to order but I have to say it tasted overcooked, dry, and crumbly. The eggs benny did not have poached egg and the hollandaise sauce just looks weird. The potatoes were cold and I cannot even recommend their matcha. Unfortunately it was not a good experience.

Yelp
Half & Half has been the place to go for brunch since before going to brunch was really a thing in St. Louis. It has been a staple of the scene forever and the quality remains high. Before I talk about food and coffee, I will give you my biggest tip--go early and join the waitlist. There are weekends that will have a two hour wait during prime branching hours. You'll see folks spilling out on the sidewalk, waiting for a table. Half & Half has partnered with Blueprint and has outstanding coffee. No matter what you choose, you cannot go wrong. An added bonus are the cute coffee cups! As far as food, you can get breakfast or lunch at any time. I will say that in all my visits, I've never had a lunch item because I'm a breakfast fan! My son had the bacon and egg cheese burger on this visit. It was cooked a little too well for his liking, but he said the flavor was great. My favorites at Half & Half are the Benedicts or the hash. Both are great options with fresh ingredients. This past visit I enjoyed the Half & Half which is eggs, breakfast potatoes, and toast. I also added bacon--because everything is better with bacon. The breakfast potatoes are a can't miss option, crispy on the outside, soft and creamy on the inside. While there are SO MANY great brunch options in St. Louis now, Mike Randolph still has a hit on his hands with Half & Half!

Yelp
We were meeting a friend from out of town for brunch, so I suggested we try Half & Half because it has been on my must-try brunch list for quite some time. I joined the waitlist on Yelp and received a notification that the wait time moved up, so we arrived earlier than we originally planned. Upon arrival, I checked in at the host stand and was told there would be a slight wait for our table. We waited for about 20-25 minutes after that, and it ended up being around our original quoted time when we finally got seated. It seemed like there was a lot of frustration happening at the host stand, as another party's table was given away when they arrived 5 minutes after getting their arrival text. We were seated outside, and it was a nice patio was some shade. We noticed that another table was having trouble keeping their umbrella up, and they complained to the waitress but the waitress acknowledged their struggle and didn't offer to help. I found that kind of frustrating for the people at the table who were struggling with their table umbrella for the entirety of the meal. We had fairly quick service once we were seated. We shared the Doughnuts and Blackberry Cheesecake Stuffed French Toast. I had the BBLT as my meal. The food was tasty, although we spent our entire meal swatting flies off our food. Overall, I probably wouldn't return to this spot. The food was good, but the service and atmosphere left a lot to be desired.

Yelp
What a turnaround in service! We waited a year and came back to give them another try. Just to be sure I waited to update until we dined a few more times to see if it was a fluke. It is not. From the people who greeted me at the door to the waitstaff, we have had great customer service with good attitudes and smiles even! It makes it a pleasure to dine here now. Don't get me wrong, they are still immensely busy and even if you use the wait-list in Yelp, you are going to wait and the parking is still terrible. But these are things they cannot control and it is worth going now that the atmosphere has improved 100%. Blueberry pancakes: My endless quest for the perfection of these always brings me back here. The last 3 times I have had them here they have not been raw nor burned. They are very good. I just get extra blueberry butter(oh yes it is amazing) and no syrup. I am a blueberry pancake purist. You can't pervert the perfection that is the blueberry pancake with syrup. As you see I do not have an obsession with.. 'twitch'.. blueberry pancakes... Not at all. TLDR: Service has improved 100% in attitude and performance. Best Blueberry pancake in town crown restored.

Yelp
Best eggs Benedict ever! Had a bit of a wait but it was well worth it. Service, food and coffee were great.

Yelp
The food was just okay, service he was friendly enough but it took quite a while for our drinks to come out. Small/crammed space. Overall would probably not recommend, but it wasn't bad.

Yelp
Pretty good! Super fast and friendly service and food was fresh. It wasn't a crazy amazing taste or anything out of this world but everything was basic and good and simple. My baby enjoyed the combo of choices for kids. My husband's Benedict was good but nothing amazing. The honey iced coffee was really good. Overall things moved quickly.

Yelp
Mouthwatering French toast. Almost too much blackberry but ohh it was good! Flying solo go got a seat at the bar right away. No complaints at all!!

Yelp
Sad but used to love coming here. Something about the space has changed. No longer the same atmosphere it once was and the food was only mediocre. Not sure I'd go back again. Service was good however.

Yelp
This is our first time here. Got added to the waitlist as the wait was 45-65 minutes...always a good sign? Arrived and got seated right away...although the air conditioning vent was blowing on us the whole time Took a bit to be waited on, coffee came at 20 minutes in...food shortly after. Delish! The best part of the meal was my wife's biscuit...hot, buttery, crispy outside with fresh homemade raspberry jam! Yummo! A bit loud but the waitstaff was friendly and helpful. Will probably return...

Yelp
Our drinks and entrees were amazing. The service was top-notch. This place is on my repeat list for good food when in STL again.

Yelp
We made a Yelp reservation @8:30 to check in by 9:01 were seated within minutes of checking in with hostess! I got the Cali Omelette and my man got the sausage biscuit - he likes to order a half blackberry French toast, "for us to split"- however, I only got a bite today it was so good- but so filling! Parking is a little challenging in Clayton on the weekend, so get there early- but would recommend getting on the waitlist on Yelp. I had leftovers. The place was packed this morning, but cozy as ever!

Yelp
Excellent food, service was good. Highly recommend the hot tea (made properly and allowed to steep) The blackberry cheesecake stuffed french toast is divine. Seems to be a favorite of locals and families. A little loud at peak times but overall great!

Yelp
I came here all the time when I was at WashU, and am happy to say the food still tastes as delicious as I've remembered! Reasonable prices & portions are sizable. Would recommend splitting a savory option and a sweet option. The biscuits and the sausage were a bit different than before, but still tasty. The potatoes also are perfectly crispy but also not dry. The blackberry French toast was DECADENT, but not too overly sugary. They also sell their cute mugs for $9 if you want a bit of STL to take home! Definitely get here early - the wait has not changed! Until next time!

Yelp
Long waits on weekend mornings but definitely worth it- you can take a walk while you wait or hop on the waiting list online via home. We decided to go last minute which led to a 20 minute wait. They are very kid-friendly- lots of high chairs and toddlers all around us. The breakfast fried rice was amazing and would highly recommend. The breakfast sandwich was also delicious especially the brioche bun! They get the food to you relatively quickly to continue with the high turnover of the restaurant. Bar seating is first-come-first-serve for seating.

Yelp
Tasty breakfast/brunch place in Clayton. I enjoyed a sandwich while others enjoyed a breakfast hash. Portions are plentiful...your hunger will be satisfied. Parking is behind the restaurants/shops and can be a little crowded.
