My coworkers and I came to this place after a hike and needed nourishment. The menu contained lots of options for everyone and the dishes looked delicious. We picked a few appetizers to share and all of them were tasty. If you enjoy pickles go for their fried pickles. It's nicely breaded and fried and it is just yummy! I went for the seared ahi tuna and it was tasty. A large portion of tuna that came with avocado, egg roll, and rice. If you're in the area you need to check this place out!

Best waitress ever! I can always sense a genuine person. This young lady deserves recognition for a job well done. I wish I was better at remembering names. I guess a description will have to do. She had dark wavy hair super sweet Spanish speaking gal. Food was pretty good but my husband and I didn’t like the fries at all. His sandwich was looking a bit burnt but he ate it anyway saying it still tasted okay. I had a IPA with my crab sandwich both yummy. Had the cheesecake my waitress recommended and it was amazing!

Google
Local vibe, VIP service. I make an effort to come here from the City on the weekends. Don't let the lines scare you. If you are +1 or solo, just walk up to one of the two hostesses and they'll give you lots of options. Their beer is well known, very tasty. I frequently order the namesake IPA or Pumpkin beer which I also during the festival. Even the non-alcoholic options are smooth and satisfying. I live for the fish and chips! Not greasy, fresh, huge portions usually 4 pieces. Calamari and many other selections like the tacos are all popular. Prices are reasonable. Friendly staff await your order. I never waited more than 8 minutes. Am I a VIP? If you are with a large group, make a reservation! Half Moon Bay is such a beautiful place. You will dream of retiring here! Escape to Half Moon Bay, even whales linger!

Google
The food is tasty and the portion is big. We chose to sit outside in the patio looking at the beach side. It was a beautiful day. There is a kid menu with good dishes to choose from. Suitable for family with children.

Google
Good food, great service. Have the shrimp and chips and demolished them lots of choices for different beers and when the food came out, it was as hot as lava! They could use more decorations on the wall, not a lot of personality. Be more fun to have fishing gear, Dungeness crab traps, something more nautical.

Stopped here Saturday before the lunch rush. Great place. Beer and food were great. Got super crowded though but that’s probably expected since it’s so nice. Nachos were huge, Mac & cheese was good. Pretzels and hummus were great.

Google
Great beer in a lovely space that overlooks the harbor. There's a full bar and they have good looking food, but we only had a couple well made ales. The outside spaces are lovely. The one in the back isn't a table service area, so if you're looking for a nice outdoor space to sit and have a beer, it's out back

Google
I absolutely loved the atmosphere. It was a cloudy, misting evening. The fires glow, and all the lights make it feel so cozy and inviting. We really enjoyed the food and the service. I had a glass of wine, and my hubby enjoyed some of the beer. The view was amazing, and we were able to watch the sun set. All in all it was good food, good service and a very beautiful view. Makes for nice romantic outing nestled along the coastline.

Yelp
Our server was Emma. She was outstanding! Completely accommodating without being overbearing. Grilled artichoke- 10/10 Steak sandwich-9/10 Blackened cod 9/10 Cheesecake 10/10 The only ehhhhh was the chowder. It was also the end of the day - it was , thick- but it's heavy competition here in half moon bay. Would I go back , absolutely. This place did not disappoint! For a moderately priced bite, Definitely worth it!

Yelp
This is a little bit of an unfair review from my side since I've been here plenty of times before, and it's more a review of tonight's dinner, I sat at the bar on a not so busy night, party of 3 but found a place right away, we sat ourselves and from he start I felt very rush to order my drinks and food, no service was given at all. When it finally menus came because I requested them, I ask for a a burger with no bun, and bartender got that simple order wrong and served it with a bun, they were both more interested on a specific customer a couple of young girls workers from a near by place, maybe the hotel next door, they were apparently asking for a discount at the end, and didn't tip very well what made my bartender to get on a mood too. I honestly had no one check on if I like my food or drink at all, and he expects 20%?? I decided to tip 12% based on the barely any effort service experience, he didn't seem to appreciate it either, next time it will be a 0% if he is still there, I love this place! Please manager pay attention to who works at your establishment. As stated before I will be back, thank you half moon bay brewery the food and beer (kolsh) were delicious, service has to improve to keep the good experience alive.

Yelp
After a nice walk we decided to have an early dinner at the Half Moon Bay Brewing Co. Restaurant (the Old ShoreBird Restaurant). If you ate here back in the day, do not think it is the same elegant restaurant. No more white table cloths here anymore ! Ambiance is loud and definitely kid friendly. There is both indoor and outdoor dining. Also, bar seating too. Service is good but some of the younger employees need training on how to welcome customers. They seem to greet you as if this is their summer job for spending money. Our Server was older and far better in every way ! My wife ordered the Vegetarian Sandwich but it looked more like a burger. She enjoyed both the flavor and amount served. I ordered the special of the day. Honey glazed halibut with rice and lightly cooked vegetables. Everything was delicious but a little more honey glazing would have made it better. Amazingly, I enjoyed the flavor of the cooked vegetables ! We also ordered a calamari appetizer. Not bad but have had far better. Tiny and small bits of calamari so you tasted more batter. I probably would not order this again. Price for the meal included two non-alcoholic drinks, tax, and 20% tip was just below $100.00 dollars. Not cheap but not outrageous either. If you are looking for a good place to eat which is both kid and also dog friendly (outside for the doggies) this might be it. Note: parking can be a challenge since space is limited.

Yelp
Not bad, not good. Very crowded all the time, but surprisingly we didn't need to wait for a table on a weekend. FYI it will be noisy inside. We ordered the clam chowder and fish & chips to share. The clam chowder was quite salty and heavy. After a while, the soup clumped and felt very gelatinous. It was synonymous to any clam chowder you'd buy at a pier. The fish & chips were good to satisfy a craving. They only give 3 pieces though :( and a good amount of fries. I was honestly a little disappointed at the portions given the price and simplicity of the food (felt like fast food).

Yelp
Situated along the picturesque coastline, Half Moon Bay Brewing Company offers an unparalleled dining experience, especially during the golden hour when the harbor view is simply breathtaking. However, be sure to bring a jacket as the Pacific winds can be quite brisk, adding a refreshing chill to the ambiance. This brewery boasts a classic selection of beers complemented by a rotating tap and seasonal specials that cater to a variety of tastes. Our culinary adventure began with the beer-battered Artichoke Hearts, perfectly fried and accompanied by a tangy blue cheese dressing that added a delightful contrast to the crispy exterior and tender interior. The calamari, equally delicious, was a testament to the kitchen's prowess in crafting fried delicacies. For the main course, we indulged in the fish tacos, offering a choice between grilled or fried crispy fish. Both versions were exceptional, each bite bursting with flavor and perfectly balanced ingredients. The portions were generous, ensuring a satisfying and filling meal. The food quality at Half Moon Bay Brewing Company is outstanding, but what truly enhances the dining experience is the cozy wooden interior. The warm, inviting atmosphere makes you feel right at home, creating the perfect backdrop for enjoying their culinary offerings and craft brews. In summary, Half Moon Bay Brewing Company is a must-visit for both locals and visitors. The combination of stunning views, delectable food, and a cozy ambiance makes it a standout destination on the coast.

Yelp
We were lucky to get a seat pretty quickly for lunch since this place gets very very packed despite having a pretty big outdoor patio. It was freezing, as usual, and the heat lamps didn't help too much. I always leave HMB wishing I had done a better job layering.... We got Clams which were really well flavored. The leftover broth was just so dippable with the garlic bread We also got the Clam Chowder Bread Bowl which the kids fought over, so I didn't get to try much but assume it was quite good I thought my fish tacos were amazing- fresh fish, tons of toppings and textures, and a creamy sauce. Yum. I liked that it came with a side of fresh salsa and fresh guac. Overall, a fun place to hang out on the patio (if you're not freezing), very dog friendly- wish we had brought ours!

Yelp
We first discovered this place during the height of the pandemic because they turned their parking lot into an outdoor dining area, and it was perfect place to add to an outdoor Half Moon Bay itinerary. Even though COVID is barely a thing anymore, HMB Brewing Co still remains a great place for a casual meal with a view. Since it's right across from the beach, you can enjoy the views from the outdoor patio area. It's also dog-friendly, so we also enjoy petting all the cute fur babies. Food is fine but nothing special. Fried calamari was good, the crab omelette was on the smaller side and I found a few pieces of shell in it, the kids' grilled cheese was a full-sized sandwich and fries could be subbed for a bowl of legit fruit (not the bs fruit cocktail that some places serve), and the hangover nachos was also a pretty substantial portion. We got seated right away when we got there just past 10 am on a weekend, but it is popular and there was a wait by the time we were leaving.

Kasi M.

Yelp
I've visited this place around four times and have always loved it. My most recent visit was two weeks ago. Despite arriving on a Thursday and seeing a line, my friend and I only waited about five minutes. I ordered oysters, which were big and juicy--six were more than enough! My friend had the clam chowder in a bread bowl and loved it. For the second round, I had the crab salad, and my friend had calamari--both were delicious. The service was excellent as always. This place never disappoints!

K B.

Yelp
No extra fees or surcharges. Thank you Half Moon Bay Brewing Company for the honest, inclusive menu pricing and please stay fee-free. You can create your own beer flight. I had four but I think you can pick up to 10. We also enjoyed our menu selections of beer steamed clams, fried calamari, veggie sandwich, and Baja fish tacos. Outdoor seating: Expansive dining patio with ocean views, patio umbrellas, and a fire pit. One side has a plexiglass wall as a windbreak, but otherwise the top & sides are completely open.

Karishma P.

Yelp
Food was mid. Artichoke hearts were too oily and not flavorful. The batter just made the inside soggy. Maybe would try the grilled ones instead. The pretzel was good but the cheese also needed more salt or flavor. Outdoor patio was nice esp next to the fire. Staff was attentive and kind. Good selection of beers also.

Theresa O.

Yelp
They can get busy and they don't have reservations. It's a huge restaurant. Outdoor seating- headlamps and fire pit. Indoor seating of course. The bar area and the "beer garden" are both self seating. We went once on a Sunday afternoon and they had live music. I don't know if that's an every Sunday thing. Service is good. I don't know her name but she always wears a baseball cap and has an accent- but that server is one of the best servers I've ever had. She is always prepared, thinks ahead, remembers stuff. I like the monster burger. It is huge. I'll usually eat half and take the rest home. Do yourself a favor: ORDER THE GARLIC FRIES. OMG.

Sunshinethu ..

Yelp
I've been here a few times, and I always have mixed feelings about the entire experience. Today was a beautiful day, and we sat outside. The salt air was refreshing, and the meal was great. We started with the nachos, which were amazing and then some clam chowder and a burger. The food was excellent. What always gets me, though, is the service. It is always terrible. Today the server would disappear for long stretches, forget to bring things we asked for and at the end of the meal wouldn't bring us our check and we couldn't find him to ask for it as well. I don't know who the manager is, but I think they're doing a great job in the kitchen, but they've got to get their servers in order.

Sarah B.

Yelp
This place has a pretty good vibe -- kind of classic brewery restaurant. The menu is huge which has positives and downsides. I had the mussels and fries. The fries definitely come from frozen which is fine but it's noticeable. The mussels were good -- all were open. I would get this again!

Avinash V.

Yelp
If you've reached this location I can imagine the beautiful ride you have had, and especially if it's a sunny day it'd be even nicer. There are plenty of nice places around so you won't have a lot of bad choices to make anyways but this one is the place with the nice beer. It's a brewery, so definitely we can expect a lot of seasonal favorite and they're popping over beers that they brew right there. that's why I ordered Sampler which gives multiple different flavors in it. There was a seasonal fruity beer with pomegranate. It was delicious I want you all to try that. We ordered seafood sampler it gave us everything from the seafood is a perfect time. It's a very pet friendly restaurant, and there is a parking next door, especially for this brewery there are umbrellas inside the shade and there is an inside seating to the service was amazing. We are definitely going back with a lot of friends.

Erich L.

Yelp
Stopped here after going to the beach and a walk. The place was pretty full. I buy their beer at the grocery store so I wanted to come here for a meal. Had the Baja fish tacos fried very good! The blackened fish sandwich was tasty but a little small. Had a cup of clam chowder that was excellent. Everything went well with a pint of kolsch. Fun beach coastal type of brewery with good food. Casual and easy going atmosphere with all kinds of people. Next time I will try the crab cioppino I didn't know they had it.

LeAnn S.

Yelp
The location is in a nice spot, by the marina. The service was fine, we just wanted to share some appetizers for lunch. The beer we selected was an orange something or another and we liked it. Shared the oysters, garlic cheesy bread w/crab and clam chowder. We liked the garlic bread (had lots of crab, for an extra $20 I would hope so), the oysters were fine. The clam chowder didn't have that much flavor. We'd give it another try when we go back sometime.

Mary P.

Yelp
Stopped to sample their beer! Waiter was disappointed we didn't want food. It was late afternoon on a Friday. Service was good & outside seating had a beautiful view of Half Moon Bay. Good tasty brews! Dogs welcome!

Martha B.

Yelp
Wait service (all) were experienced and efficient. ! Food and waterfront view spectacular !

Edrian D.

Yelp
Hmmmm - I don't know how I feel about this place. The only reason why they got 3 stars was because they had food that I actually ate and good beer. We started off with the fried pickles - honestly these were great. Kind of glad they came out as spears because chips get dried out. I had the Baja fish tacos grilled because I wanted to balance out all the fried food. The fish was pretty standard but tastes like it was frozen. The fish had that fishy taste so I had to use up all the lemon wedges to mask the taste. After one taco I was kinda over it. The stew was standard - nothing exciting, but could have used more citrus. Again. The fishy taste was unappealing. But the broth of the stew was pretty good. Sampler was anticlimactic - The shrimp could have used less batter. I dunno about calling this sampler - more like bucket of fries. It seemed as though a few pieces of shrimp and calamari were left in the deep frier and the chef decided to top it off on the fries as a garnish. Kind of like when you go to Jack in the box and find regular fries in your curly fries. The brew: I had the hat backwards and downed 2 pints - Just the way I like my IPA's - Super juicy. Not to mention the ABV was pretty high - so money well spent. All in all - I was hungry, so it did the job. But very much underwhelmed. I thought the seafood was going to be fresh, but alas it all tastes like they were frozen and you need hella citrus to cut the taste. Extra punto for having outdoor seating because I do enjoy drinking in the sun. Although, not enough to keep me coming. So, imma pass.

Craig S.

Yelp
Pros: Crab roll was actually pretty decent aside from the bits of shell. Scenery was nice from the outdoor seating. Cons: service was horrendous, but not for shortage of staff or an abundance of guests. Groups of staff everywhere hanging out, tending more to socializing with each other and petting all the dogs than attending to guests. We waited ages for our order to be taken, and ultimately had to ask for the check after our plates had been cleared while still chewing (typically we'd always just wait). The one time they were plenty quick was to ask about a small tip (we otherwise never go below 20% even for poor service).

Amy S.

Yelp
On a casual Sunday drive we stumbled upon this quaint, delicious eatery. Did not partake in any brews but did sample the fresh oysters along with a scrumptious blackened fish sandwich with a lemon aioli. So good. The scene of the ocean was beautiful. The service, genuine and accommodating. I would definitely recommend popping in to try this restaurant.

Kim G.

Yelp
Beautiful day at Half Moon Bay Brewery. Food and service always great. Thank you, Anna, Ginger and staff for a great day.

Mackenzie M.

Yelp
Fast and friendly service. A lot of appetizer and entree options. Enjoyed the three beers we ordered.

Himadri G.

Yelp
Bigggg food servings, really good beer. Their fried pickles were pretty good too! While I did like the food, I'd be interested to try other places in the area as well. However this is definitely one of your top bets. The employees are very nice and helpful in answering questions. On cold days they have a fire heater outside. I would recommend the coffee stout beer. I opted for the nachos which is a bit hard to eat but what did I expect . I definitely took half of it home. Guac is not worth the extra monies in my opinion though here.

Lindsay L.

Yelp
HMB brewery has a fun atmosphere indoors and outdoors. There is often live music in the bar area which is a great vibe on its own. The patio can be windy, but it does have heaters and more sheltered areas. Similarly, to Sam's, you can take a nice walk with your dog before or after your meal. Go-to orders: Artichoke Hearts (small plate) * Garlic cheesy bread with crab * Baja Fish Tacos Smoked monster burger Insider tips: Live music in the summer on weekends Rotating craft beers- great variety for all tastes * Layer up-10-20 degrees colder than surrounding areas

Uday M.

Yelp
Came by on a windy Friday afternoon to sample their beers. They were out of their Scotch Ale which was a disappointment, but we tried a flight of four. A couple were pretty poor and one was decent, but it was mainly nice to enjoy a drink with a view of the bay. The service was the highlight as our waitress was very friendly.

N C.

Yelp
We typically come to HMB Brew Co a few times a year. We always appreciate the dog friendly atmosphere on their large outdoor patio and the food is always pretty tasty. We decided to escape the heat on July 4th this year and had Erik as our waiter. He was super friendly and very accommodating. We had our retriever with us and he offered to bring us something to eat for her which was really nice. Overall it was a great experience with good food, great service and refreshing ambiance on the outdoor patio.

Sam S.

Yelp
Ive been here dozens of times it's one of my favorites in Half Moon Bay. The food is always great and this was the first time I've had the fish tacos but they were very good and were stuffed! The place has a beautiful view of the beach from the outside and has the smell of the beach!

Daniel W.

Yelp
Dropped by with the work squad to grab a quick brewski. Friendly folks working that was very fast to make sure the table had their beers. Opted for a glass of their hefe, which had a great hoppy taste and some fizz to it. Loved the effervescence. It's definitely a great spot to grab some R&R for a few cold ones.

Tony S.

Yelp
Tried to go to the fish place across the street but arrived too late to make the first sitting. Kids were starving so we wandered over to the HMBBC and were seated right away. Took an inside table and service was great considering how busy they were getting so quickly. We had mussels, tacos, fish n chips and kids mac n cheese. We all loved the crispy fries the most. Everything else was pretty standard but no big complaints. Kids are still young and getting used to public restrooms. Thankfully the restaurant's were big and clean enough for us to maneuver crazy toddlers. Parking wasn't terribly stressful as we got in there early but as we were leaving crowds were growing and cars were waiting. Hope I'll get to go back someday when I'm not driving and work my way through the beers.

Sabine K.

Yelp
I used to love coming here for fish and chips. They used to be great. In between then and now they went from terrible to ok again. They have a good half moon bay Hefeweizen to go with your fish & chips. The outside used to be cool with nice fire pits to sit around. It was cold the day I went so we sat inside. At some point the wiff of bathroom smell came around the table. Fish and chips were ok.

Flossie C.

Yelp
The food and ambience great! We had artichoke hearts to start - came with blue cheese sauce. Ok I was not going to try because I avoid all things blue cheese. I hate blue cheese. I did try and I can't tell you how amazing it is. My husband a blue cheese lover loved it too. I ordered more with my fish and chips. I HIGHLY recommend!

Ivory B.

Yelp
Half Moon Bay Brewing Company is my new favorite local place! The food is amazing. The beer is fantastic, depending on your taste choice. The service is excellent. The decor is cool. My absolute favorite spot to sit without waiting long for a table is at the bar. I like my food served hot so this is definitely the place. The best part is the outdoor seating area allows your pets to stay with you. It's not ideal to leave your dogs in the car while eating your meal. Yes, this is a pet friendly restaurant! The wait is probably long but it's worth to wait. Try it! You will love it.

Brandon E.

Yelp
Classic joint we frequent and will always return when in the area. Food is good and the drinks are strong. Staff is friendly, and heat lamps and fire pit outside are welcomed.

Andy C.

Yelp
Grabbed takeout to enjoy along the beach and was pleasantly surprised by food and service! Food: BC Oyster - 5/5 fresh, delicious oyster (great presentation) Crispy Seafood Sampler - 5/5 also fresh and fried perfectly crispy... had fish and chips, calamari, and shrimp! I can taste the quality of the ingredients and was not disappointed at all! Service: 5/5 Front of the house had a nice and warm greeting! Gave clear instructions on where to order takeout Waiter was kind and gave great recommendations Lots of tables outside so definitely ask for a table outside when the weather is perfect! Will be back when I'm in the area!

Tania B.

Yelp
Food was excellent. Service was good but not great. Our server was not totally with it. He kept calling for a chicken sandwich when I clearly ordered a chicken salad. The salad was great. We made sure the chicken sandwich we did not order was taken off the bill. Our appetizer never came. We made sure it was not in the bill. Ambiance was good. We like the HMB Brewery, have been there many times over the years and plan to be back. Food is fresh, well prepared, and well presented. We hope the server at our table gets better over the weeks to come. The four stars given for the server missing his mark over the appetizer and the sandwich we did not order. Otherwise it would have been five stars.

Paulo M.

Yelp
Had lunch here today, service was good, food was great... weather was perfect overcast 64.

Alexandra S.

Yelp
We eat dinner here every single time we visit Half Moon Bay. We're usually there on a Monday night, which is great because most of the weekend visitors have gone home, so it's not as crowded (we prefer when it's a bit quieter). Our favorites are the poke appetizer (heavy on the sesame oil, which we love, and the homemade tortilla chips that come with it are to die for), the monster burger, and the milk stout. Last night, Laura was our server, and we adored her. Just the right amount of sarcastic wit to make the experience even more enjoyable!

Angeli S.

Yelp
Nice place to enjoy lunch by the water. We sat outside since we had our pup with us. Love that it's dog friendly. Service was pretty quick since we beat the lunch rush on a weekend. We ordered the fish and chips - good but the fries IMO tasted more on the fishier side. Probably fried them in the same oil as the fish... the fish was good... I would still say the place across the street, Barbara's fish trap is better. The clam chowder bowl was delicious. The flavors were nice and there was a lot of clams! We got the fresh fruit for our 2yo and it was a good sized portion with your typical fruit variety. Always enjoy coming back here when in the area.

Teresa S.

Yelp
Max, our server today was outstanding. We arrived around 1pm this Saturday afternoon- it was really busy everywhere in town. Our hostess suggested we eat in the bar area. We immediately found a high table to accommodate our family. Our server was very attentive and friendly. We enjoyed our dishes and the lively atmosphere. This is not our first experience here. Today was exceptional. We enjoyed the tuna melt, clam chowder, seafood platter, poke, fried pickles and of course the grilled artichoke!! Clam chowder was seasoned, not too creamy and perfect! Chefs kiss! The cute t-shirts were a plus!

Michelle M.

Yelp
we were seated in the sun 4 of us , got burnt! we ordered fish and chips ! 2 of us . got them burnt! look at my pic ! clams were good! Clam chowder bowl was ok ? no silverware on our table? had to ask for water, silverware, condiments , ??????

Alicia L.

Yelp
I was on a company retreat and had this place for both lunch and dinner! The crispy fish tacos are ON POINT! HUGE tacos (you get 2) and comes with guacamole, rice and beans. The guacamole was bland in my opinion, so it could definitely use some extra salt and pepper and tapatio if you want some spice. The stew, wow! I was so impressed. There was fish, sausage, garlic, tomatoes, onions, shrimp, mussels, and clams in this dish. It was delightful on a chilly day! The location is great if you're staying at Oceano hotel in HMB as well! Definitely worth trying!

Kristen E.

Yelp
Food, beer and atmosphere were amazing. Clam shower, beer and wings would highly recommend when in Pacifica or Halfmoon bay

Ray A.

Yelp
Sunshine, Suds, and Satisfaction at HMBBC It was a perfect day for a visit to HMB Brewing Company (HMBBC)! The drive was smooth, and there was no wait for a table. They took our number, and within minutes, we received a text letting us know our table was ready. Feeling generous, we offered our umbrella to some lovely folks who wanted some shade, while we soaked up the sunshine (a welcome change after months of dreary weather!). We began with beers, trying the Calf-eine Mocha Stout and the Goat Herder Maibock. Both were delicious! The stout, brewed with espresso, tasted like a delightful coffee drink, and the Maibock was a smooth, sweet bock. I used to be a big IPA fan, but stomach issues from the higher fermentation process led me to explore lagers and bocks - a happy discovery! For food, I opted for the Breakfast BLT with fries, while my spouse chose the Blackened Fish Sandwich with fries. Both dishes were phenomenal and bursting with freshness. The fries were crispy perfection, needing no additional flavoring. My BLT was juicy and bursting with flavor from the perfectly cooked egg yolk. A quick word of caution to indecisive diners: after placing my order, I spotted a neighboring table's crab sandwich, and it looked absolutely massive and delicious! If you're in Half Moon Bay, HMBBC is a must-visit. They offer a wide selection of beers, delicious food, and a lovely view. Plus, the service was quick and attentive - thanks, Silvestre! Remember to click helpful if you enjoyed this review! Cheers!

Yelp
I got the brew burger with a vegan beyond patty. It was good and a decent size! I really liked whatever kind of bun they used. For the vegans - I'm not sure if they used butter on the bun to toast it... I'd ask when ordering if you can't eat dairy. The fried artichoke was amazing - I loved it. Servers were all very friendly. Fast service. Beautiful views from inside the restaurant. My only complaint is that the burger didn't come with any sauce. However, I asked for ranch after I noticed the burger was plain and they brought that to me no problem.

Yelp
We visit HMB brewing Co often on weekends when we drive over the hill from Redwood City. We enjoy the drinks, beers and calamari appetizer as well as a few select entrees- fish and chips, chicken sandwich, fish tacos. However, it's such a bummer that the service is never up to par. Today was especially bad. Our server literally disappeared for 30mins. We were done with our meal and wanted our check. She reappeared and didn't apologize at all for the wait. Service was not friendly either. Such a bummer when you are there to enjoy a nice lunch in a such a beautiful location.

Yelp
We were so lucky to beat the lunch rush! We were seated outside right away and chose to sit outside. I love the variety of heat lamps, fire pits, and seating. We ordered Mimosa 5/10 Crab sandwhich 8/10 very rich Calamari 10/10 one of my favorite and a huge portion

Yelp
This place is in a great location near the marina. It gets really busy during normal rush hours, but is a fun place to visit and accommodates big groups, bar seating, and dog parents. My wife and I like to sit at the bar when we can. The food is good. Portions are considerable and service is quick. The beer is tasty and they have a variety of selections. It is definitely worth a visit if in the area!

Yelp
One of my fav spots. Has a great selection of beers, really good pretzels & cheese, amazing seating both inside and outside, and fantastic staff!! On a beautiful day, I definitely recommend sitting outside and hanging with friends for a few hours. The food is delicious too! Anything you get, you can't go wrong. I love the tuna poke appetizer, pretzels & cheese (ofc), clam chowder, and tuna melt (and I don't even like tuna!). I always go for the cider they have (last time I went it was some sort of cranberry one and it was amazing).

Yelp
It was a beautiful day for brunch so came with some friends and our dogs to enjoy the coast. We were greeted and seated right away and given menus. I enjoy their beer but I also like their cocktails. The Bloody Mary is great. Hubby and I ordered the crab omelette which is usually our favorite but the crab didn't taste fresh. Seemed like it was from frozen. The potatoes and the side of sourdough toast were delicious. Service was great and staff are always friendly.
