The one in the phoenix terminal I have had zero issues with. Food was good, ready very fast, and the coffee was pretty good. I much prefer coming here for a quick bite than having to resort to fast food or something slower. The empanadas themself have a good flaky texture and the fillings are all good. The ham and cheese was a bit too salty for my preference but not bad overall. Whenever I’m in Terminal 4 I try to grab a couple before the flight and maybe a drink at the bar!

Really wanted to rate this higher because I love empanadas. But the woman running the place was visible through the back door scrolling on her phone for 5 minutes, headphones on, oblivious to waiting customers. Other reviewers reported similar experiences, so perhaps the manager or owner could train her.

Google
This a gem of food. And i am very picky. The beefy empanada were delicate crusty on the outside and flavorful ground beef. The chicken is too spicy despite the lady pushing for it but return to let her know and i got to exchanged it for something else. Very good courteous customer service it. The menu is small compared to its neighbors who are constantly busy because of their brand This place needs more promotion. Maybe a free sample counter

After spending some time exploring the vibrant termilas, we decided to take a break and indulge in some delicious empanadas. The moment we stepped into the cozy eatery, we were greeted with warm smiles and friendly service, setting the tone for what turned out to be a delightful experience. We eagerly placed our orders and were pleasantly surprised when our empanadas arrived, they were larger than we had anticipated, filled generously with a scrumptious mix of cheese and meat. As we dug in, I quickly discovered that the cheese empanadas were a standout. Each bite burst with flavor, a delightful cheesy goodness that made my taste buds dance with joy. While the meat-filled empanadas were tasty in their own right, they just couldn’t quite compare to the delightful richness of the cheese. The ambiance of the place added to our enjoyment. With a spacious seating area that was comfortably arranged, we were able to relax and savor our food without feeling rushed or crowded. It was the perfect spot to unwind after our wanderings. Overall, our experience was not just good, it was exceptional. Between the welcoming atmosphere, the mouthwatering empanadas, and the attentive staff, we left with satisfied appetites and happy hearts, already planning our next visit!

There was nobody at the counter when we arrived. The gal who attended us was very apathetic. She forced us to pay her a high tip by taking over the card reader and pushing the button herself without asking. And to top it off, the empanada was folded in half, which is unfortunate, due to the fact that the experience of enjoying an empanada was ruined by this individual.

Was studiously ignored by the person behind the counter while I asked to buy empanadas. She took her time pouring herself a cup of coffee washing her hands while I stood there saying hello hello and I got no acknowledgment that I was there. Do not waste your time with this place.

The actual empanadas are dry but still somewhat tasty. I would recommend stopping by the closest Hudson News & Gifts for some Immodium after.

I got one of these empanadas last night while waiting for my flight and I’m still sick from it! It was so greasy and tasted like oil. I shouldn’t have kept eating it. Shortly after I ate it I started feeling sick, that lasted all night and all day today. Never again will I eat here.

Yelp
The other reviews are accurate. Flavour is not bad, but extremely pricey. One small empanada is $7.29. Tall about inflation.

Yelp
Well on a whim stopped here. I love empanadas but found these to be lacking. The Spicy chicken filling was savory and spicy but the outside was so dry it was almost like eating paper. The edges cracked like a cracker. Maybe that is the idea but at 7 dollars for each I had expected a pillowy dough. The winner was the dulce de Leche filling like a caramel pudding! It was delicious except for the cracker type crust. This airport has very pivoted limited offerings for food and this is a good as it gets.

Yelp
I wanted to try something other than a chain restaurant I'd already been to. The female employee who assisted me was very pleasant. She answered my questions and gave me suggestions. I chose the El Gaucho and Dulce de Leche. The crust/shell was very good. The ingredients seemed fresh and were tasty. I love how they're stamped with the name/flavor. Glad I was able to try something new.

Yelp
Happily surprised with this spot at the Phoenix airport! The dough and filling is yummy. I went with the classic beef, which is supposedly the crowd favorite. The filling was a bit dry but had great flavor and they have red pepper and egg mixed in which adds a richness.

Yelp
The most frustratingly, disappointing and unintelligent empanada joint! I've tried time and again to give this PHX airport empanada restaurant a chance and EVERY TIME their staff is so incredibly interested and inefficient with their service. When you are able to guide them into servicing you, the empanadas are good, but you basically have to spoon feed them along the way through the process. Aaaaargh, please get a whole new team, start over and then you'll get somewhere.

Yelp
We came in actually ON TIME for our flight and had some time to stop and grab a bite to eat and Lashaunda grabbed our attention with a beautiful smile and kind personality here at half moon empanadas! We tried the Nutella dessert empanada and WOW is all I can say! Thank you again for such an amazing experience here!!

Yelp
I ordered 4 empanadas. We got 2 spinach and cheese, but ordered 2 cheese. Can't eat those because of meds. The chicken was gross. I ate the three cheese but it was soggy. Three 3 away. Don't pay $10 an empanada. They are not worth the money. We got Panera instead. If Panera is a better choice, your day not going well

Yelp
Empanadas are good enough, but holy smokes the prices are out of control - $6.99 per empanada. For comparison, they are under $3 apiece in FLL and even MCO. Tried once but will not buy here again unless the price comes down to something remotely reasonable.
