"Halftime’s slices are big and greasy and perfect for padding the stomach before getting soused inside TD Garden during a playoff game. It’s been a longtime favorite stop for a slice after a game or concert at the Garden too, as it stays open 90 minutes after an event lets out. (Closed on Sundays.)" - Erika Adams

Google
Decent pizza and beer before a game. Great atmosphere and location. This is not a top pizza spot in Boston so have realistic expectations. The people that say this on reviews are clueless when it comes to pizza. It’s not up to Regina’s, Ernesto’s, Galleria Umberto, and Santarpios. That being said, good service, good location, good atmosphere, and good value. Good spot to get a slice and a beer before or after a game. The 3 stars is based on the taste of the pizza, it’s decent not above or beyond. But I would recommend this place but have the right expectations

Google
Such a cool, nostalgic place to hang out and drink cold beer and eat delicious pizza. Pictures of all of Boston's sport's Gods on the walls and ceilings. Fabulous way to pregame before a Gahhhden event!!!

Vincent

Google
This place had a pretty cool nostalgic feel with fast service, draft beer and pizza by the slice. I would go again for sure!

It is the first time to go and tried their pizza, and it is nice but not great,

Google
The pizza was amazing at a fantastic price We were attended by a young lad, very helpful and friendly. We practically left the airport just to eat in this place.

During the last week of May 2024, my 6th Graders class took an overnight field trip from New York to Boston. One of the Dinner time stops was at Halftime Pizza. We were met by a gentleman named Luigi. He did all he could to ensure our students were fed and entertained, from unlimited refills to consistently bringing out fresh Pizzas, French Fries, Chicken Tenders, and even dessert cookies. Halftime Pizza ensured we were taken care of, and we will always stop by whenever we take our trip to Boston. Thank you to Luigi and the rest of the staff!

Google
It's a pizza place with sports on the TV, as advertised. Slices are a decent price. It's New York style, but the crust is just a bit crispier making it easier to eat. Not gourmet, but good. Worth checking out, definitely.

Came in here one day for food before a concert at the garden. Had an alcoholic drink in a brown paper bag and absolutely NO INTENTION of drinking it inside. I just wanted a slice to go… Someone working started yelling at me if I “dare to open it, it would be chucked out the restaurant.” I can understand they don’t want alcohol consumed in their place of business but in no way shape or form was it professional way to speak to a paying customer. It was my first and last time I tried this place.. I’ll never come here again.

Yelp
I've always loved their plain cheese pizza! It's one of the best places in the state!

Matt H.

Yelp
Most underrated pizza in the city. Best place to go before or after a game for a quick slice. Great game day atmosphere and awesome staff!!!!

Henry I.

Yelp
The guys who work here are absolutely amazing. Always friendly no matter how busy they are. Pizza slices and steak and cheese is go to and it never misses.

Yelp
I got Halftime Pizza for takeout and while it was extremely filling, it wasn't as good as some other places in the city. Still, it wasn't bad, and the cheese was at least very tasty. I had both the BBQ Chicken and Margherita pizzas: BBQ Chicken: This honestly wasn't terrible, but the dough was really doughy if that makes sense. There was a nice amount of cheese, chicken, and red onions on the slice, but the BBQ sauce was a bit strong and distributed unevenly. Some pieces were really sweet while the others didn't have much sauce coverage at all. And the crust was really doughy and chewy which was good for filling up my stomach, but difficult to chew and enjoy. I think the slice could have been okay even with the doughy crust if the sauce was a little less sweet or of it were distributed differently though. Still, not a bad slice! Margherita: The cheese on this was actually really really delicious. There are CHUNKS of mozzarella on this, and it was so creamy and tasty. This pizza is really LOADED with sauce, chunks of tomato, and a nice basil blend, but it was almost too heavy. As a logistics thing, it was very hard to pick up a slice and I had to slide it over to the edge of my plate and slurp it up to eat. A knife and fork probably would have worked as well, but I do tend to like to pick my slices up. Because there was so much sauce, the dough was also a bit soggy and doughy, but the cheese on this really made up for it. Overall, I give this a 3/5 - I'd try some of the other more traditional slices (cheese, pepperoni) and the Margherita really had some nice mozzarella on it, but it didn't blow my mind.

Yelp
Great pizza great price!!! Excellent customer service! Best BBQ pizza!Awesome pizza and people

Yelp
Stopped here before a concert at the garden and got a couple slices. Ad you would expect they were expensive at about $10 for the two slices. I will say it came out very quick if you are in a rush. The pizza itself was solid I would say 7.0 out of 10. Had better crisp than I expected and taste was ok. If you need a quick slice I would reccomend but if you have time venture off into the north end for better pizza.

Musicsphere O.

Yelp
Great pepperoni ricotta slice !! Totally reasonable prices, can't wait to try their sandwiches.

Kristina A.

Yelp
Fantastic pizza joint. The dinning area is a little dark for me, but there is some cool sports art around it. We visited Halftime due to a high recommendation via online reviews and it did not disappoint. The pizza sauce to me had a slight kick to it creating a nice flavor. We ordered at the counter quickly and the slices came right out. Highly recommend if you're looking for format tasting pizza.

David D.

Yelp
Awesome pizza and wings. Cool place right across from TD Garden with an awesome Boston sports theme. We were visiting Boston from California for the first time. I wish we had pizza like this is in Cali. Great service too!

Stevie P.

Yelp
Perfect pre-event spot for anything at the Garden. Spot on sandwiches and the onion rings were amazing!! Don't pass this by; definitely stop in. The crew working register and meals were terrific, glad we decided to pop in!

Danielle M.

Yelp
This place is a quick and delicious spot right outside of the TD garden! We were in a hurry to explore the area and wanted something fast. The pizza is soooo good! LARGE slices with assorted topping options from the menu! The side of fries are crispy fires and a large portion - so prepare to share! You walk up to the counter and order and it is called out when ready for "pick up". There are lots of booths but also high top seating!

Casey D.

Yelp
An absolutely must before the Celtics game. Large seating and large slices. Go check it out!

Jordy J.

Yelp
Not a bad establishment that's steps away from the garden. If you're looking for a quick slice or sandwich before the game then this is the place for you. After the game is a different story. You're limited to just pizza until they close up shop. The vibe is pretty trendy with louder than normal pop and hip hop music playing throughout the restaurant. Staff members are professional and the employees who attend to the cleanliness of the tables and floors are very prompt.

Michaela D.

Yelp
I think most pizza is great and I was a little drunk when I tried this (so pizza would taste even better). Their pizza is mediocre. Not worth $5 a slice unless you're starving and have time to kill before your train.

Chase B.

Yelp
Located conveniently by the TD garden, halftime pizza is serving up pies that are made with fresh ingredients and hot out of the oven. It can be a bit of a wait because of Al the demand. But it is a solid pie and after one bite, I'd give it a solid 7.5. I'd definitely go back!

Chuck E.

Yelp
Pizza was good, but music was rap shit with plenty of n words and other curses. They did change the station to some Spanish song that was about a breakup, but still wanting to get it on when their animal Instincts take over. Good pizza.

Amanda C.

Yelp
Came here before the Eric Clapton Concert (doors opened at 7, show at 8pm) last night and it was perfect! We got here right in time because as we were leaving the was out the door! Got here right a little after 6pm. We ordered 2 slices of pizza each, 2 cheese and 2 sausage. And 2 root beers. Price was reasonable ($24.31 total) and the cheese pizza was excellent. I don't recommend the sausage pizza. It had a very odd flavor, I almost thought it wasn't ok to eat, so I took it off my pizza. Interestingly I'm looking at my receipt from last night and see they charge a "paper fee" (3.00%), I am not sure what this is for? The paper plates maybe? Napkins that were help yourself? Anyway, would come here again in the future! I would definitely get the cheese pizza and try pepperoni next time. Might even try a sub or something else here. I like the looks inside, there's Boston memorabilia and it is a comfortable setting!

Ashley S.

Yelp
probably the best place I have had pizza. amazing. I've had their subs and the steak bomb is on point. got the half time special. incredible. we will be returning. amazing job yall.

Ben D.

Yelp
All the stars - best atmosphere, owners, staff and TV's. Coldest beer flows like the wine.

Brandon B.

Yelp
Finally was able to go back and try it again. What a difference the pizza was crispy and not grease dripping out like last time. We got 2 pizzas and couldn't find any negatives. Been almost 2 years since the last time I came(due to work). I can't wait to come back and get pizza.

Liam B.

Yelp
I was in Boston for a bruins game and I had the bite of my life this pizza was amazingly delicious

Daniel T.

Yelp
Food and service was fantastic! I got the Chicken Italians sandwich, the rest of my family got pizzas. It was all great!

Joseph C.

Yelp
Best in the business. Absolute staple if you're going to an event at the garden! Quick, quality, and the vibe is fantastic

A A.

Yelp
Came here middle of the day. Nobody but my family is in here and they are blasting rap/reggaetón with cursing. Pizza was mediocre. Good location for the stadium. That's about it.

Adina S.

Yelp
I was walking through the West End and was hungry so I randomly grabbed a slice of pepperoni here. The slice was pretty big, but just okay in terms of quality. The restaurant itself was quite large and looks like a fun place to hang out before or after a game. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back, but it was decent enough.

Mike M.

Yelp
Located right across the street from TD, this spot caters to pre and postgame Celtics/Bruins fans. I grabbed a chicken parmesan sandwich and a tall beer before Friday night's Celtic game against the Pistons. The line moved quickly and the guys behind the counter worked their tails off to pump out slices, sodas, beers and sandwiches. The sandwich was excellent and the fresh sesame seed roll was the best part. Prices are on par for the location but cheaper than eating inside TD.

Matt M.

Yelp
If you're going to a bruins game or any event at the garden, this is by far your perfect pregame spot. Huge draft beers and good pizza, priced appropriately but are still good deals in comparison to everything else around the garden. I've been coming here since I was a kid. If you want a beer before you root on the B's, this is your spot. Ignore the yuppie crap at Hub Hall

Ray G.

Yelp
Really, 2.5 stars. The crust is good and the sauce is respectable. However, the final product is soggy...even right out of the oven. The slices I received were too ham fisted with the cheese. Perhaps the oils from the generous cheese such makes the soggy slice The service is friendly. Conclusion; If you want some post-bar/club eats, you will be satisfied. Otherwise, meh. Don't come here for dinner.

Woo K.

Yelp
Right across from TD garden. It's nice to be able to walk on over and grab a slice. Is it the best pizza? No. Is it good enough to satisfy that craving? Yes. The pizza overall was ok. The cheese blend felt a bit too sharp of a flavor. But overall fine. Nice place. Tv everywhere. Cookie wasn't too great.

Julie C.

Yelp
Outstanding experience! Great pizza, served hot, quick, service and people are tops. Just across from TD North.

Ani G.

Yelp
Right next to all the bars for a great slice of pizza when out. Slices are a good size and good quality food.

Brooke M.

Yelp
The restaurant was about to close and Luigi stepped up and made me an Italian sub. Great people here!!

Summer B.

Yelp
This place has the best pizza - nice and crunchy with fantastic sauce. its in a great location to grab a slice and a beer before a game. Luigi & the staff are incredibly accommodating. highly recommend!!!

Fatboy S.

Yelp
4 stars for the pizza and customer service. Pizza was pretty good and was priced fairly as well. Good portions.

Mike M.

Yelp
I have been coming here for 30 years. The quality of this pizza sucks now!!! Used to be the best pizza in town. Absolutely terrible. Only good for for after game gross pizza. I stand outside and tell people not to go in. Bring your standards back up. People will come. More is better......remember us talking about that?

Greg B.

Yelp
One bite review is way way overrated. Order two pies and asked them to add extra sauce. Instead of adding it on the pizza they put two little containers on the side. Pizza dough was tasteless and looked like in came out of a plastic bag. Probably premade at another location, but no sure. On a positive note, if your hungry after a game it may hit the spot.

Shanell S.

Yelp
The Food was mediocre and service was terrible save your money and go somewhere else (The place isn't even 1 star material but I had to put it to post the review)

Danielle - A Pseudonym B.

Yelp
I come here for lunch for cheese pizza from time to time. Once or twice, it's been good. But most of the time, the cheese on the pizza isn't even melted so it's goopy and still shredded, yet allegedly cooked. The worst part is that most of the men who work the oven area don't actually heat it up upon request; they give it do you lukewarm to cool, because they tell you it's "fresh from the oven". And a cheese pizza is $21.95. 2 slices of cheese is almost $9. That just seems like a lot for a slice. I think I'm done with this place.

Jack F.

Yelp
Wasn't that good of pizza not around here anyway theres so much better like causeway bar mmmm that pizza is fire. The staff are rude yelling dont know what their doing. Im not going over here no more. Their single slice not much choices. It gets crazy on friday saturday nights. Forget this place causeway it is.

Matt D.

Yelp
The pizza is a classic NY style pie. The place is a staple being right across from the Garden. There's no other place that can give you a quality slice of pizza and handle the demand of the Garden crowd. The pizza is very good -- locals go out of their way for a pizza from here on a regular day, not just because of a bruins or Celtics game. Dough is made in house. Been around since 1981 (technically since 1967) and it's now being run by second generation. Serves beer as well. Tell em wesaygravy sent you!

Stinky P.

Yelp
It is so wicked pissah to have this place open again! Old Stinky P. loves his Pizza...and this place does not disappoint. The groovy old dude dropped in for a slice of Pepperoni...and wowsers...it is just as good as it was before! Good sized slice at decent price. Just the right amount of tangy cheese and sauce...and they don't skimp on the wicked yummy Pepperoni! Yum-yum eat'em up! They also have subs and other items that also look tempting to the taste buds. This old dude will keep coming back many times more.

George S.

Yelp
Halftime Pizza came highly recommend & it didn't disappoint. I personally categorize pizza in 2 categories subway/boardwalk vs specialty/gourmet. Halftime falls at the top end of the subway/boardwalk category. Big slice, plenty of topping, great cheese & cheap! Enough said!

J W.

Yelp
Best pizza in Boston, i live in Hyde park but go to td a lot everytime I swing they this is the pizza i get, they are a great honest business, my wife lost her phone, they actually found it there and called me to come pick it up, thanks guys yours the best

Nick T.

Yelp
Very authentic spot. Great vibes inside and murals on the walls. Great pizza. Amazing staff. Joe is the man!

Kylee L.

Yelp
Luigi Luigi Luigi... the appetizers, the pizza, the drinks, all things halftime are amazing! including Luigi! luigi hooked us up with the best mac n cheese bites we've ever been. Highly recommend! Service, food quality, and deliciousness! 100%

Francisco C.

Yelp
Love the pizza here. Place gets busy but the line moves quick. Always stop by before and after a concert or sports game. I stayed at the citizenM and grabbed a late night snack. Halftime pizza never disappoints

David R.

Yelp
Just happened to be across the street at the Tip O'Neil Building on business, as I was leaving I decided to grab a quick snack. As I walked down Causeway Street towards my car, I was about to pass the Halftime Pizza Parlor. I've always meant to grab a slice during a game/event at the Garden but there were always extra long lines. Today was the day, No Line. I ordered a slice of Roni and proceeded to a table. The slice was a perfect example of a Boston/New York Slice. Crisp Crust, a little tang in the sauce and the appropriate amount of cheese. Price was about average for a slice around town. I give Halftime Pizza a Solid 4 Stars.

Kylie D.

Yelp
I ordered the Ray's Bourque for take out and when I went to pick it up it was a little soggy. Other than that, it was pretty decent.

Annie C.

Yelp
This is proudly one of my favorite pizza places in Boston. It has a great location across the street from TD Garden. The place's name is halftime pizza. Right when you walk in to see a cool Celtics mascot statue and the lights are covered by cool hockey and basketball players. It really catches your eye real quick. And to top it off when you walk in it smells great too. It has that nice smell of pizza. It is cheap before a game compared to inside the TD Garden. The first time I went it was with 10 people with 4 adults and 6 kids and they let us sit down right away before a game. The staff were very kind to us with quick service. We ordered the pepperoni pizza. It might not sound so great but if you had a bite of that pizza the texture was perfect with just the right amount of cheese and squash and at least 5 pieces of pepperoni on each slice. The slices are a big size so it is like 2 slices in one. It is very filling before a hockey game. The best part about it is that if you do not want pizza you have a wide variety of pasta and if you do not want a full pizza you can get fresh slices just out of the oven. Also you have a lot of drinks and sodas to choose from. Every time I am in Boston I plan to go. Remember to look at the cool lights in the dining area. It is a nice year around place like in the winter if you're going to a hockey or basketball game. In the summer going to a baseball game or if you are just in Boston it is always a good time to go.

Michael S.

Yelp
Met some friends here 1 hour before Bruins puck drop. This place knows how to handle a game day crowd. We had a whole cheese pizza, soda and beers in our hands less than 2 minutes after walking in on a busy night. 10 minutes later our delicious cooked to order fried pickles were ready. Can't go wrong visiting this place before any TD Garden event.
