Hall’s Honey-Fried Chicken

I had an amazing experience at Hall’s Honey Fried Chicken! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Crystal took care of me, and she was absolutely phenomenal—super friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was just right. The food was delicious, and the service made it even better. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Our dinner was hot, fresh, well-seasoned and DELICIOUS! I ordered a 3pc and hubby got chicken and waffles. They served us nice sized pieces of chicken and mine came with pickles, jalapeños, fries and bread. YUUUUUUM! The staff was very friendly and the place is immaculately clean. Hall's faces I-35 but it's in between 35 and Broadway. Please give this place a try! The food itself is worth the drive even if you don't live real close.

Halls chicken has been a favorite of mine when I lived in Oak Cliff. So, I am excited to find this location in Carrollton. My coworkers and I ventured out on a Monday and gave this place a try. We walked into a vibrant establishment. They had a nice theme illumination on the wall that showed the history of this franchise as well as a T.V. showing more history. This place is very clean, spacious, and welcoming. They had music playing for entertainment while you wait or dine in. I ordered the 2pc chicken breast. It was freshly cooked. The chicken was hot, crispy, crunchy, and tasty. The fries cooked to perfection with bread on the bottom, taking in flavor. Although it was a little heavy on the salt, I enjoyed it. I'll definitely continue coming back...

This place is OK was not impressed with the chicken or the fries, they have a disclaimer saying we don't use seasoning salt, WELL, ....the chicken was very bland, I didn't add honey or hot sauce, maybe I should have Follow me on Instagram where I do full restaurant reviews docccwayne_reviews

Don’t pass this place by! 🤤 The Oldest Chicken Family in Texas is still around for a reason! The Chicken Tenders were perfectly Crispy & Juicy and the Waffle was delicious with perfect crunchy edges! A Must Eat in Dallas!!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Halls Chicken, and I must say, the experience was outstanding. Brittany and Charles went above and beyond to make our visit exceptional. Brittany’s warm and welcoming demeanor set the tone for a fantastic meal, while Charles’s attention to detail and knowledge of the menu were truly impressive. The food was delicious, with every dish perfectly seasoned and prepared. The service was impeccable, and both Brittany and Charles ensured we felt like valued guests throughout our meal. I highly recommend Halls Chicken for an unforgettable dining experience!

First off Brittany the cashier was amazing and so sweet! The food came out nice hot and fresh. I order 4 piece chicken tenders. This was my first time having it but I will be back. The restaurant was nice and clean and everyone I spoke with was very welcoming !! The owners grandson even came all the way out to my car because he forgot my halls honey sauce. That’s amazing customer service and I appreciate it so much . Thank you guys. You have a customer for life !

This was my 1st time here, based off others and I must say I was IMPRESSED. the food was hot & fresh, the service was top notch and the tables and dine in area was clean......like really CLEAN CLEAN! I'm a Stickler for clean areas where i eat and it was 10/10 the bonus was the manager came out to ask patrons if they were okay, and that's a major plus! I had questions about certain items and he answered them.........definitely returning, Halls Rocks!!!

The food was very tasty. The chicken reminds of the days of Bernard's 2, and Studio 67! Love the waffle. The service is very friendly. The atmosphere and seating is very 21st century with an intimate seating arrangement. Props to Hall's Chicken of Carrollton!

Food was really good but you might want to bring your own knife to cut your waffles they only have forks and no to go containers. They gave me a paper bag for my to go items. Drink area was a little smelly ~ needs a deep cleaning but the rest of the restaurant was very clean and counter area.

Absolutely amazing chicken, with nice crispy crust, and moist and juicy inside. The meal comes with chicken, bread, pickles, peppers, and fries. The fries are are not bad either, and the size chicken tenders... WOW. Been there twice now, and and just signed up for their VIP Rewards. If you like great fried chicken you owe it to yourself to try Hall's.

The fries are a bit on the limp side, but that's okay. Remember, you're coming there for the chicken. We've been twice now, and probably will go back tonight! I like to order extra, for the next day leftover chicken experience. I just pretend I'm at a picnic. Come for the chicken. Do it quickly.

I've been wanting to try this place for awhile. It's not in the best locations and ran across it by accident. I had no idea there was a location in Farmers Branch. The chicken was good, but wouldn't go out of my way to eat there.

This place is a place you could sit in without eating anything and feeling as if you were at your 55 year old Uncles house listening to his personal playlist of dance music!! Good dance music.... Now to the food experience,I got an order for there as well as an order to go. The chicken was fried to perfection and very crispy! The ambience was cool,lots of historical photos on the walls and clean. The only thing preventing a 5 star revue is they were a bit stingy with the sauces and the personalities of the 2 workers was a bit dry. I'm also used to free range,grass fed chicken and that makes it difficult to give 5 stars.

Update to my last review. My 2nd visit was just as good as the 1st Really cannot add anything new beyond telling you to support this business.

As usual I have to remind them I want fresh fried chicken but other than that I was super surprised . It was different than any other Hall's I've been to. I learned that this comes from Henderson's which I loved as a kid until adulthood. The info and pictures on the wall tells the story. It was like going down memory lane. Service was awesome. I was updated on my fresh chicken. I did call to do a call in order and was told that they don't do that. But once I got here I was in awe with the place! Food is ready and I'm about to go.... if anything is wrong with the chicken I will post a review. Thanks guys!

This is some seriously tasty fried chicken. We ordered a 5pc dark meat with all thighs, a single tender, and a single hot link (just to try out all the things we could). The fried chicken is extra salty and a bit greasier than other chicken places. Definitely more grease than Golden Chick and more spice than KFC. It's a mess to eat but the flavor can't be beat. The chicken tender was nothing to write home about, but the hot link was quite good. If you just want a basket of hot links for a meal, they have that as an option and that sounds pretty tasty. All the orders come with bread, pickles, and jalapenos heaped on top. Main dish orders also come with fries, and these aren't just any fries, they are old McDonalds-style soggy fries. That's a pretty rare find these days. This location is quite difficult to get to. If you aren't coming from the northbound I-35 service road (which doesn't connect to Luna road) then the only way in is through the back down Broadway St and the entrance is not well marked. Look for Donald Avenue on the east side of the road and then turn west.

Great food and service can't wait to come back. My original order didn't work out but Mr.Hall took care of me.

Me and my coworkers all came in and were greeted. They asked if it was our first time (and it was) so they rung the bell! I loved that. They were patient while we asked our questions. We ended up going with the 5 pc mixed with a breast. Sooo much food that we all got a to go box. One co worker got the waffles and chicken and she loved it. They have two sauces which is their honey signature sauce; it taste like a home made honey mustard honestly. And then a big bawse sauce which had more of a kick to it. It was my favorite of the two. Each sauce is .55 cent and you'll need it if you like sauce (like me). They also have Louisiana hot sauce packets if you don't really prefer a signature sauce. It came with fries, jalapeños, pickles, slices of bread & pickled carrots. It was so bomb. It's like a combination of Harold's chicken and like a down south hole in the wall chicken spot. We fed 3 ppl for $50 & that's with us all getting the 5 pc and drinks! Would definitely be back

Heard they were in Carrollton. Looked them up and went over to them. Spoke with Jacoby and young lady at the front while I wait d on my order. Staff was nice and ready to help. Ordered 10 piece and was good. Going back to try other items on the menu.

Not quite the taste I remember. The chicken could use more seasoning and the breast didn't seem to be fully cooked.

FINALLY when we saw the sign months ago, I could not stand the excitement I told the whole family. Hendersons/Halls has been a family childhood favorite. My parents & godparents would take us kids there after the clubs, quinces and parties. I posted a picture of the one we use to go to below. We would wait to get the BEST damn chicken and always had to get a basket of fries to hold us over till we got home to get that crispy fried chicken, wrap in the warm bread with the pickle, jalapeño, jalapeño juice all over and eat it. Do yourself a favor and support a family owned business. Jacoby the son is running this store. So show your support to a great crew. Hell make this a weekly, daily or monthly visit. BEST CHICKEN EVER!!!!!

First time I ate there, it was great. Good and crunchy, freshly made chicken and fries. Went back within the same week, What a difference, chicken was slightly greasy and fries were just not good.

This place is empty for a reason lol... I'd rather eat a rotisserie than this bland chicken. It's a shame knowing it's black owned as well. The waffle is sooo stale and lacks flavor. Go to Ricky's Hot Chicken instead, trust. The chicken has a strange smell to it as well
