Hällsnäs Hotell & Restaurang

Paying for a hotel should not involve fearing injury while hauling bags through a construction site or looking through dirty windows. The undisclosed hazards, lack of help, and filthy conditions made this experience awful. I cannot recommend Hällsnäs Hotell & Konferens to anyone until:|Construction is 100% COMPLETE, SAFE unobstructed access to all rooms is GUARANTEED! |And The property is THOROUGHLY cleaned.|Avoid until these serious issues are fixed.|Staying here now is unsafe and disrespectful.

A peaceful place with great views of the lake wherever you are. The staff is very kind, attentive, helpful, and ready to accommodate your requests. The rooms are OK, but not up to the standards of the common areas. Also, lacking some practical solutions, as there are nowhere to hang your dress/suit on a hanger, limited space for toiletries in the bathroom etc. No biggies, but still. Total ambience is still great.

Small cottage room, tiny bath. The staff were helpful and pleasant. The grounds were lovely! Great lake views. Restaurant Atmosphere was a bit stiff. Food was very nice, as was the service. I look forward to revisiting after their expansion project is completed.

This is an amazing place! We had such a great time here. The location at the lake is very beautiful, the floating wood-heated sauna with lake view is extraordinary, the premises are filled with fruit trees and home grown vegatables and the food in the restaurant is Michelin worthy. This is an absolute go-to hotel if you are in the neighborhood.

I was disappointed on the very first evening that I arrived due the extremely limited vegetarian choices on the menu but that disappointment was quickly overturned by a caring, dedicated and intuitive young lady called Alma (as shown in the photo) who worked as a waiter at the restaurant. And of course, a big thank you to all the others, including the chefs, that made my stay as comfortable as possible.

There was a business conference here and we were on vacation. Firstly when we ate at the restaurant they were out of the majority of things that were on the menu eg. Mushrooms, mushroom risotto, sauvignon blanc. It was very expensive for what we got. Then housekeeping barged in at 08:30 without knocking. We got a letter informing us that breakfast was from 8 to 10 when we arrived at 09:15 we were told that we had missed breakfast which was from 07:00 to 09:00, when we checked in the day before we were not told this. They did try to help us get some breakfast but the coffee facilities were cleared away before we could get a 2nd cup.

What a beautiful place not far out of Gothenburg on a lovely lake. Old world charm… even 1960s magazines on the lounge table!|Good information received from reception staff- easy bus trip to Gothenburg from nearby Molnlycke.|Only criticism would be the speed of service in the dining room, albeit with fantastic quality of food, and the absence of staff at breakfast.|Wonderful shuffleboard.. if you’ve never played before, you’ll be hooked!

We attended an amazing wedding at this venue. They had a private upstairs for the bridal party to dress and get make-up done. The staff was so attentive in bringing up food and drinks. The wedding was flawless and a huge success. The food here is amazing and the breakfasts were great. Definitely a great wedding venue.||The room was clean and neat. It was two twin beds pushed together. Very comfortable and quiet. The bathroom was spacious.||The hot tub and sauna were very appreciated. The view from the hot tub was beautiful. ||The staff, servers, and desk manager were super and so accommodating. The bartender, Viktor, was top-notch! I would come back.

We visited this gorgeous lakeside hotel for their Julbord seating. We have been to a number of Julbords and this one stands out - not only do they have excellent versions of the staples, they also served a number of inventive takes. The cold plate course was particularly amazing - a wide selection of smoked and cured fish, pickled vegetables, and small bites that left everyone around the table cooing and gasping with praise. The dessert selection was also a delight! This hotel is at the end of a long, rustic road - you might wonder if you've gone the wrong way until you suddenly arrive - and you'll be treated by expansive and serene lake views during your stay. Highly recommended for a delightful holiday dinner experience!
