Small cottage room, tiny bath. The staff were helpful and pleasant. The grounds were lovely! Great lake views. Restaurant Atmosphere was a bit stiff. Food was very nice, as was the service. I look forward to revisiting after their expansion project is completed.

A peaceful place with great views of the lake wherever you are. The staff is very kind, attentive, helpful, and ready to accommodate your requests. The rooms are OK, but not up to the standards of the common areas. Also, lacking some practical solutions, as there are nowhere to hang your dress/suit on a hanger, limited space for toiletries in the bathroom etc. No biggies, but still. Total ambience is still great.

This is an amazing place! We had such a great time here. The location at the lake is very beautiful, the floating wood-heated sauna with lake view is extraordinary, the premises are filled with fruit trees and home grown vegatables and the food in the restaurant is Michelin worthy. This is an absolute go-to hotel if you are in the neighborhood.

I was disappointed on the very first evening that I arrived due the extremely limited vegetarian choices on the menu but that disappointment was quickly overturned by a caring, dedicated and intuitive young lady called Alma (as shown in the photo) who worked as a waiter at the restaurant. And of course, a big thank you to all the others, including the chefs, that made my stay as comfortable as possible.

What an amazing location. Right by a lake, with a fantastic view and surroundings to discover. The room we stayed in was immaculate, and decorated with taste. Not your average beige hotel with cheap decoration. It was small but very well thought through. We did not have food at the restaurant but the breakfast ingredients were plentiful, fresh, and very tasty.

Best julbord we ever had. We were 6 people (4 swedes + 2 international) and we all agreed it was the best julbord ever, and we had high expectations. Everything was delicious and beautiful. Also so many options for people with allergies such as gluten and dairy. And very nice personal. We will be back next year !

I choosed this hotel for one one my location during business trip in Sweden. Certainly I used tripadvisor as my main guide for selection. The area, nature, lakes is really nice. The hotel's panorama got me relax. The food is exceptional. I spent my dinner two time in the hotel's restaurant. Really wort to stay espacially for relax purpose.

Two nights at this perfect location directly at the lake. Great views from the road leading there. Attractive main building with cosy rooms, a huge bright lounge and terrace with direct lake view. In the booking request we noted a preference for a lake view room away from the railway. Got a room away from the lake and facing the railway. Fully aware that room preferences can not be guaranteed but strange to observe that other rooms were announced as vacant on various websites during our stay. Anyway, the friendly and competent female receptionist found a way to compensate us. ||||Room not impressive. Small and dark but quite modern, functional and nicely decorated. Comfy beds. Lacking storage space. Thin walls so you hear sounds from neighbors. Bathroom functional but defect blinders.||||Good: The dinner. Better: The breakfast, wide choice, served in a welcoming, bright restaurant with option of using the terrace with full lake view. ||||Recommended visit in the area: Råda Herrgård (manor).

We visited this gorgeous lakeside hotel for their Julbord seating. We have been to a number of Julbords and this one stands out - not only do they have excellent versions of the staples, they also served a number of inventive takes. The cold plate course was particularly amazing - a wide selection of smoked and cured fish, pickled vegetables, and small bites that left everyone around the table cooing and gasping with praise. The dessert selection was also a delight! This hotel is at the end of a long, rustic road - you might wonder if you've gone the wrong way until you suddenly arrive - and you'll be treated by expansive and serene lake views during your stay. Highly recommended for a delightful holiday dinner experience!
