Halo Burger

1st time eating here and wasn't expecting the burgers n fries to be so delicious. They were very fresh and have me wanting to come back for sure. The price was very reasonable also.

For being a fast food restaurant, Halo Burger is solid. Fish sandwich was everything I wanted. Cheese curds were melt-y and crunchy. Orange Creamsicle was thiccccc and gave me copious amounts of phlegm. A+.

Big Beefy Double Cheese,AKA Hangover helper. These Michigan based gut busters are some of the best burgers you can get. A little pricey compared to the clown & king of calories you can taste the difference. Tater tots anyone? Some of the best you can get. Don't forget the vernors shake with other seasonal shakes if your treating yourself do it with a halo

Quiet atmosphere. QP was only ok. Could taste the mayo, maybe the mustard. I think the meat could have been warmer. The top bun was cold. I felt a Whopper Jr. would taste better.

Standard fast food offerings, most comparable to Sonic in my opinion. The burgers don't travel well (we didn't dine in), but the fries stayed warm and crispy. The batter on the onion rings was very thick and crunchy.

Halo Burger and the founders, the Thomas family, were a HUGE part of my childhood and life growing up in Flint. After the business changing hands several times and the quality suffering, I was blown away by the new standards in place as evidenced by the Fenton location yesterday. Folks, fellow Flintoids and burger lovers - HALO BURGER IS BACK! My mom treated me and my lovely Lisa to our old favorite, a QP Deluxe with olives - perfection! Lisa’s first time with a Halo and she was very impressed. The restaurant was spotless and the staff were very attentive and professional, something you just don’t see any longer, sadly enough. Moreover, the branding was perfectly executed. Geeky marketing stuff like this makes me excited and there wasn’t a single logo or font out of place. Wooohooo! Keep it up, PLEASE, Halo fam. We need this burger and brand to thrive and you are on the right track to do it. #7dayswithoutaHaloBurgermakesoneWeak

It's a local fast food place, started in Flint. Great burgers with some local twists like their olive burger.

Today’s date is 2 –7–25, I went through the drive-through today at 11:11 AM. I ordered a half pound cheeseburger and onion rings. The person at the drive-through was polite and patient taking my order. The food was delivered fast and the person was very polite. I haven’t eaten at the Fenton Halo burger in about three years because it seemed like the quality had went downhill. So this was the first time I decided to try it again and I couldn’t be more impressed and happy. My cheeseburger looked like it was made by a top Chef, all the vegetables were fresh The bun and hamburg patty was perfect. The onion rings were crisp and delicious. My order was complete with they even added the extra ketchup I asked for. I called to actually thank them and tell him what a good job they did and I talked to Jenn the manager who is obviously doing an excellent job. We will be back as you’ve earned my trust back thank you so much Jenn & Halo burger.

This halo burger is my favorite local fast food place! It satisfy's my fast food cravings all while tasting fresh! And the boom boom sauce is delicious!

As promised they they replaced the order. They were quick and very nice. I am very happy with how this was handled.

Husband always goes thru drive thru...they manage to screw up my order more than once! Called them complaining about burger having cheese on it. Manager hung up on me

Ok. After a reply from them regard WHAT is on the burger, and seeing a picture online more in detail, I raised my rating to 4 stars since it was what was supposed to be on the burger, and I was mistaken.

Im changing my review because my family just ordered food from halo burger and got home, only to find out that they messed up our order so bad. I asked for a #1 with NO mustard and NO tomato, and only got mustard and tomato on my burger, both of my parents had the same thing happen to their burgers and im genuinely shocked that this could even happen. How do employees mess up orders this badly? And who would even order a burger with only mustard and pickles or mustard and tomato? This is ridiculous. I haven't never had this establishment mess up an order this badly and I'm severely disappointed. Original review: Pretty good food and most of the staff is younger (like teenagers and 20's) and I haven't had an issue with the food or any staff in months, which I'm very impressed with as we used to get cold fries, the wrong burger or the staff just wasn't pleasant and seemed like they hated being there. I will say the iced tea and lemonade are HORRIBLE so definitely don't order that (both taste extremely watered-down), but the other soft drinks actually taste like soft drinks. I just don't like carbonated drinks so that limits my drink options there. The fries are so good and have a crispy outer layer that literally crunches when you bite (my absolute favorite) and burger are always tasty too.

Haven't been impressed with this halo burger location in the past few years, but I wanted to note today's visit. First, my fiancé could hardly get his order in because the employee taking the drive thru kept rudely cutting him off. She had zero personality and she sounded like a she really did not want to be there. When we got to the window, the employee that took our payment opened the window and told us our total so quickly before grabbing our card and closing the window. She opened the window back up, handed us our card and food and said "here you go" and shut the window. ....you have a good day too, rude no personality halo burger employee. Not to mention, half of my fiancé's cheese curds were cold in the middle. You don't treat cheese like that.

Iconic burger joint found in the Flint Michigan area. Skip the chains and eat here if you are in the area. Everything is delicious and they take advantage of local seasonal products such as berries in shakes. Don't overlook the olive burger and other menu items! Kids love the nuggets

The olive burgers and the Boston coolers take me back to my childhood. I always stop by halo burger when I come home to visit

Yesterday was the second time going to the Halo Burger in Fenton this fall and the second time I'm totally disappointed with the burgers. The QP number 1 combo. We got 2 of those combos and a kids meal, paid almost $25 and blech! The buns were very dry, basically stale. The burgers had no flavor and were barely warm, the fries were hot and okay. I can remember stopping here multiple times during the summer months with my wife, pre-pandemic, and these combo meals were fantastic for $5! Now they are double the price and awful. We won't be back for the food, sorry. Maybe to use the restroom, that's about it. I can understand inflation has raised the prices of everything but the quality of the food shouldn't go way down, and inflation isn't at 100% so the cost of a meal should not have gone up 100%.

Wowza! Do I love me some Halo Burger! They serve the most divine meals! I devour their Olive Burgers lickety splickety! You know what else is "lickety splickety"? My song on my album, Angelic 2 The Core!!

Food was made pretty well seems to be made to order which is nice to see. I will say the special for 5 bucks was pretty good just a little disappointed in the size of the burger but I saw it advertised and I thought I would try it. Next time I come back I will try a regular combo to see if Another burger has better size.

Everything was good but who the F*** puts mayonnaise on a burger? Disgusting. Ketchup and mustard? Perfect. Then they just go and infect the rest of it with not just Mayo but way too much of it. Only saw like 2 drops of ketchup and mustard and the rest was smothered in cum

So sad to see the demise of a great Flint burger joint. I have been eating there since the 60s! I even ate there 3 days / week for 10 years. The Thomas family sold out & the new owners have changed everything but the name & the fact they still fry their burgers. The ketchup, the bun, the tomato slice, the amount of olives & mayo! I ate there yesterday, first they gave me burnt fries, then replaced them with soggy fries. The tomato slice was so thin, there was no middle to it. Barely any olives or lettuce. The food was so bad, I couldn't even finish it. They bought a business that should have customers lined up out the door, but instead they will most likely be going out of business. Too bad. I don't know why people mess with a winning recipe. Stop in & taste the difference for yourself. Or better yet, replicate an old Halo Burger at home. You will probably get closer to the real thing than they will.

Visited this location at 7:35pm on 11/22/17 after being assured we could eat in lobby we ordered for family of 7. Food arrived at 8pm in to go bags and we were asked to leave. We traveled 45 minutes to eat at the franchise after hearing how good it was only to be mislead. Asked for a refund and it was given promptly. This treatment is not customer service when any other restaurant allows you to finish meals when ordered well before closing. Their halo was replaced by horns!

Well I arrived at this location again to get it another try, well to my surprise I entered the building and employee were discussing problems about a manger or something not meant for customers to hear and one was cussing I believe it was the assistant manager or supervisor, then I ordered my food and the girl on drive had her back to me dropped a few napkins on the floor picked them up and put them back on top of the other ones plus she was picking her nose or face I couldn't actually see what part but to me it seems like her nose, I see why so many places have food code volitation,

Parking lot was empty 2 cars in front of me in drive thru and still waited a total of 15-20 minutes. I ordered a Boston cooler and a large fry. I ended up sitting there for so long I just left without what I ordered. I get when you're down to 2 people or however many were scheduled but man that was NOT "fast food". Maybe the manager should schedule more people to close instead of trying to save labor dollars. Definitely won't be back to this location.

We went here for lunch. I was hungry and needed to eat and take medicine. I ordered the $5 meal and hubby got #5 combo. As I said if we weren't hungry we would have taken our meal back to the counter. My was cold and bacon not fully cooked. My husband's was so messy he had to get a fork to eat it. Will not ever go back or recommend to friends either

Haven't been to halo burger in a few years-and I was reminded as to why. For those of you that can remember, this is basically a hot n now burger. It was taste-less, just no flavor whatsoever. And whew--pricey. The only hot item were the fries-and they were just okay. The burger just had a weird look to it-almost a gray color. Had a hungry teenager so that was that----but we wouldn't return. Save your time & money and go somewhere else.

If you want fast service don't go here. If you want good service don't go here. If you want any time of good quality dont go here. This place made me wait over 20 minutes for my food, if you can call it that. They offered the man in front of me a milkshake for his wait and he waited less time for food than I did. I called the number on the receipt and was put on hold for over 10 minutes which I went back to the store before they took me off hold. They were rude and disrespectful to me when I was trying to address the issues I had with the service and food. The food was really greasy and soaked through the bag to the point of almost ripping and as stated before the service was the worst I have ever had. I do not normally go back to places or be a complainer but this place was just to much for me not to tell anyone. I'm sorry to be that person but I will never go back there again. Wish I could give it zero stars.

Forget Five Guys and a Burger and most of the other burger joints. I've tried them all and Halo Burger is the best - hands down. On a recent trip I drove about 30-minutes to get my favorite burger, a cheeseburger with olives. You can imagine my disappointment when I drove into Uncle Ray's in Fenton only to see Halo Burger was no longer there. Boom, crushing disappointment. But then, I looked down the street and there was the new location of Halo Burger in what looks like an old Big Boy or Burger King. The burgers continue to be the juiciest, best tasting burgers you can buy. They now have a nice, new location that gives them lots of room. You like burgers? Try a one of these. You'll love em. And by the way, they have great fries. I used to love Wendy's fries before they changed them up. Hate them now, but Halo Burger has the fries you used to get at Wendy's and boy are they good.

The new owners have ruined this place, which is a shame because Halo Burger used to be one of the best burgers in town. Now the patties are paper thin, probably half the size of McDonald's. The fries they gave me were cold, they had probably been sitting out for at least half the day (and not even in a warmer by the taste). And to top it off, the girl working there wasn't even able to make proper change. Avoid this place.

I'm a huge fast food fan and Halo has the best burgers hands down. Service here is great lately, and the five star review is because of the improvement. The staff a few years ago was meh at best but recently I've noticed AWESOME improvement in customer service. Food is always prime and this location is just all around great.

I ordered 1 Double QP Combo $8.89 with 1 Regular Fries and 1 XL Premium Boston Cooler $3.50. Total : $13.13. Transaction # 307203 at 2:07 PM. My server was Emery, young white man with beard. I ate 2 fries and they were so greasy I could squeeze the liquid grease out of them. I took them back up to the counter and showed them to another young white man with dark hair and no beard. I told him they were too greasy. He then smirked at me and said " Fries are suppose to be greasy"!! He walked away ignoring me not offering me a replacement for the greasy fries. I threw the fries on the counter and finished my Boston Cooler. Then I left! This young man should be fired for his disrespectful attitude and discourtesy towards me. I have been eating at Halo Burger since 1972 and have never received greasy fries from any of the six other Halo Burgers in 47 years, and I will tell everyone how bad this halo Burger is towards customers!! I will never order anything at Fenton halo Burger again.

Now I am not a burger person but I love the Halo Burger, don't ask me why or what is on the sauce but I try to stop in whenever I am in town

Great service, great hot delicious food!!! My favorite is the turkey burger with onion rings and a Boston cooler. I've been to this location numerous times and have yet to have a bad experience.

What have you done! I visited this Halo Burger today and it was terrible! You made some kinda change to the meat and it just tastes weird! I loved Halo Burger before but i never thought i would EVER say this but Burger King is better than the QP i had today!

youll get approximately what you ordered but never exactly especially at the drive through. i ordered the coney cheese fries with no meat and got regular fries (no cheese) and last time they just put the meat on anyways. the one time they got the order right they gave me no fork and one single napkin. disappointed because their food actually tastes good! just wish i could get what ive asked for.

I have been going to halo burger for years. While they still had there fair share problems they were at least manageable. Ever since halo burger moved from uncle rays to the old Burger King location service has gone down the crapper. I'm pretty sure they hire high school drop outs that think its funny to mess people orders up on propose. I am DONE with you halo burger and if you are considering halo burger...DON'T. It's not worth the price or the frustration. If you remember anything from this tip...AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

I love this location the restaurant is clean the management is on the floor and friendly the employees are friendly. The food is fresh, delicious and hot. The French fries are always hot like they just came out of the fryer. I have to drive over 50 miles to get to this location and I don't mind at all, I wish the store in my city hadn't closed.

Halo Burger sucked. I thought it would be a good local fast food chain like In N Out with fresh never frozen beef but I was wrong. Service was fine, took a little longer since I ordered a burger with no pickles and no tomatoes and figured I would get a fresh burger. Misconception, food was cold and burger had extra pickles and extra tomatoes as predicted would happen in a previous review. Place blows, go to McDonalds instead.

this must be the worst halo burger i have ever been to. the hambuger patty is not like any halo burger i have been too, it was a gfs pre made filler patty, not fresh made patty, i do not think it was even real meat. i got the double 1/2 pound with the works, it came on a bun like a big mac, and did not even look or feel like a half pound burger, every other halo burger is not like this. when it only took me 5 small bites to eat the whole thing, no grease even got on my hands like the real halo burgers do. the fries were not even the same as others. I spent $8.00 on a 1/2 pound burger and a large fri and left hungrier than when i got there. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST.
