After waiting almost a year to finally get to Brixton for a halo burger I can tell you it's worth every penny. Don't be put off by a slightly higher price than other fast food brands, Halo is very much a case of you get what you pay for and the experience was nothing short of amazing. Would highly recommend. A hidden gem of Brixton.

Very good vegan burger, the beyond patty is super tasty. The bun is nice and fluffy. The chips are just like mcdonald's chips. I had the BBQ burger which had really good crispy onions in. Took about seven minutes to cook and two burgers with drinks and chips was about £25, very reasonable. Definitely one of the better vegan burger joints.

Had a tasty cheeseburger at Halo Burger today (£6.45) and shared some pink salt fries (£4) and a pot of signature sauce (£1) with my husband. The beyond burger - with violife cheese, gherkins, lettuce and chopped onion - was juicy and smoky. Friendly service. A decent place for vegan fast food.

Star rating based on the customer service. If not for that they would have received a 4. Last minute plans are usually the best. I went out in the day to Brixton. I was hungry. There were many food stalls and I decided to go with Halo burger. Food took about 10 minute to be ready. Received the food and was like okay this looks nice. When ever I get food I always check the fries . Ain’t nothing worse than cold fries. My nightmare came true the fries were cold. You can always tell when they just give you some left over dry chips. I went straight back to the till and asked politely if they were able to change the fries as I explained they were cold. The guy behind the till gave me an awkward look then proceeded to say “mmm ok we’ll do you another batch. I said “thank you.” As I went back to my seat I took a bite of the burger which was actually warm, fresh and delicious. Me and my friend loved it. After about 3 mins the server came out with the chips however he made it clear before giving us the fresh chips he would need to have the old chips back. Luckily that was no issue because ain’t nobody eating rock cold chip. I hate when people try show you some attitude just because you were trying to be honest. I really hope those fries went in the bin although I didn’t see why he needed to take them. Non the less the next set of fries were fresh and tasted how they should have after waiting the 10 minutes in the first place at the start. Food was nice but the fact they had to show a bit of attitude because they were wrong in giving us dusty fries was a bit rude.

Great burgers even if you’re not vegan. We had the garlic parm spesh fries and burger and sweet Carolina. Pricey but tasty, if getting take out - bring plastic bag as the paper ones leak grease / oil from the special fries sauce. Gutted they don’t do the milkshakes anymore - said they prob won’t be back. Service friendly and nice. Can get lucky with parking right outside but can be tricky sometimes.

Looking for a vegan burger at 9 on a Sunday night isn't easy, but on my route home, Halo Burger popped up on Google maps. Late night parking available outside, I went into the small but well laid out establishment. Looking at the menu, there are a few options such as vegan cheeseburger & quarter pounder, but off of the menu on a separate poster was the Garlic burger - this needs to be added to the menu as a permanent option. (my partner loves garlic on pretty much everything so this sounded like a winner for her). I also ordered the garlic/cheese fries which was a generous portion. Staff were quick and friendly, nice atmosphere too. I drove home with the bag closed but that did not stop the entire car smelling like something that could ward off the most determined vampire!!!! My partner rated the burger amongst the best vegan burger she has ever had, 9/10 for her, would've been 10/10 if the burger was larger (for the main menu, most if not all burgers can have extra patties added). There are also shakes on the menu which we would like to try so a return visit is on the cards.

Good if you're craving vegan fast food, but it is pricey. The don't have a cow fries were great but the quarter pounder wasn't very memorable so I'd get the halo burger next time. I ordered by scanning the QR code on the table and paying through the app and it all worked seamlessly. I actually hope they keep ordering that way at Pop Brixton as it's much nicer to stay at your table and have the food delivered to you!

We’d been checking this place out and keeping an eye on all the social media posts since we first saw it reviewed by @thelittlelondonvegan. Safe to say we were a little bit jealous... But then salvation! These Brixton-based legends picked my wife as an Instagram winner for one of their competitions, and we had our excuse to go! Although with that said, excuses really are not necessary, because you need to go. Now. This Monday just gone, we had quite possibly the best burger(s) of our lives so far. We arrived at the very cool little restaurant in Pop Brixton and were given our options. All of which sounded incredible, and the aromas alone were some of the most mouthwatering and indulgent scents we had ever been lucky enough to indulge upon. My wife (@misspeaa) ordered a QUADRUPLE (oh yeah) of “The Halo Burger” (we had to try the original), and I ordered a double “Smoky Carolina BBQ Summer Special”. We had some “Don’t Have a Cow Fries” to share, a diet Karma Cola and a Brixton Brewery “Reliance Pale Ale. The drinks were good, that beer in particular was delicious. And now for the burgers... There probably wouldn’t be enough stars to give this place a good enough rating, and that would be a fair assessment based on their burgers alone. Quite simply - THEY ARE AMAZING!!!!!! I’m fairly confident the words “life changing” were used at least five times. The ‘Beyond Meat’ patties being cut in half for the original Halo Burger is such a good idea, and means they work better for this traditional fast food type burger. The quadruple stack, smothered in cheese, was just incredible. The cheese is delicious, and the traditional accompaniments of tomatoes, lettuce, caramelised onions and gherkins worked an absolute treat. Then there was the Smoky Carolina... Words cannot do justice. It was divine. Two - yes TWO - thick, chunky and deliciously smoky Beyond Meat patties, smothered in meltingly glorious cheese, with crunchy battered onion strips, smoky BBQ sauce and mayonnaise. I want one again now just thinking about it. This might just be the best burger I’ve ever eaten - and I am very much including those made of meat. If you have any opportunity to try this whatsoever - do it. Do it now. The fries were really good too and well worth trying, but to be honest I was just so blown away by the burgers that my taste buds couldn’t register much past that delicious, smoky goodness. Our compliments to the friendly chef, he is doing very special things. And then some. This brilliant work should not go unnoticed, because it is yet further proof (not that it’s needed) that when meat is off the menu, incredible and beyond delicious food most certainly is not. Fair play to you all. Halo Burger, you did not disappoint. We just wish there was one somewhere closer to us than Brixton!! Still, if that never happens, we’ll most certainly be back. We’ve got our eyes on those new ‘chicken nuggets’ of yours... Keep up the good work, you deserve the rave reviews and more. Thank you!!!

Yelp
Vegan burger spot in pop brixton. Inside and outdoor seating. The menu is simple but delicious. The burger uses beyond meat patties and are tasty. Recommend the fries (similar to animal style fries at In-n-out) Called "don't have a cow". Burgers are 7-9.5 and fries are 2.5.

Yelp
Gooey, tasty vegan burger! It will meet your junk food cravings and the packaging is spot on. It's an oddly un-messy burger to eat.

Yelp
We ordered Halo Burger and were very disappointed. The vegan patty wasn't bad, but the cheese was gluey and the bun was like a cardboard which totally lacked flavour and taste and wasn't of good quality. Everyhitng was soggy and slimy, and they weren't nice to eat. It would be great if they could find better quality bun and cheese.

Yelp
One of the best tasting vegan burgers and fries around. Small, and intimate setting, makes you feel like you are at a friend's home. Food is fresh and the price is right. Loved it.
