We had a party in the back room and it was super convenient and the staff were great. Hosted about 15 in the back room and were thrilled to only be charged for a food/beverage minimum. Many other spaces nearby are far more expensive. We also liked being able to bring our own food in. We did order pizzas through them, but would maybe recommend just bringing your own. They weren’t super great, but definitely accomplished their goal of feeding the kiddos and soaking up some booze. Cocktails were great (get the thin ice)! Service was speedy and we really loved the privacy of the back room. Definitely a great option for hosting.

Halyards is a great place with a great staff in a great people with a great environment with great music and even a clean restroom. Check out one of the best free comedy shows in New York at 8:30 on Friday nights. You might as well go to the open mic right before it to see some of the best up-and-coming comics. Also check out Derek Snipes' open mic on Tuesday nights. He's a great guy hosting some great comedians.

An Irishman told me this is the best pint of Guinness in the five boroughs. Great space. Lively staff and good food. Don’t over think it.

We stopped in for a drink and was pleasently surprised. The outdoor space is very nice and relaxing. We ordered a pizza, they are small about 8 inches. The drinks were very good and I wouldn't mind visiting again.

That's the way a good pub has to be. Good beer, pool billards and - most important - steel darts. Ok, the dartboard should be renewed soon, but we had fun playing Mickey Mouse and finally 501.

My new favorite bar! Jeremy was great! They didn't have the pineapple cider I was looking for so the bar tender gave me a shot of pineapple juice to make up for it. The back room will be great to see comedy next time.

Great place, good atmosphere and drinks. Trivia night is a blast and very well done.

I've been a few times this winter and granted it's only been on Thursday's for Trivia, it's always a great time. The bar is always very clean, not overcrowded, nice bartenders, the trivia host is a star. And maybe most importantly the other patrons are usually chill. Just a fantastic, normal neighborhood bar. In the best way possible!

I came here for the weekly Bitches Brew comedy show on a Friday night. It was all the way in the back. It started around 8:30pm, but the seats easily filled up. If you go for that, I'd recommend getting there around 8:15. I don't expect anything when it comes to comedy shows, but I was genuinely impressed. There were about eight comics, and even the worst of the bunch was still decently funny. Overall, the bar is cozy and spacious. I didn't get anything to drink, but it seemed like there was a wide range of affordable options.

Halyards was a cute bar with great drinks. The bartender was attentive and the atmosphere was quiet, but also vibing when I was there. Would love to return to try other cocktails.

I visited Halyards before a show at Bell House on a Thursday night and was happy to see that it was busy but not packed. Our drinks were made quickly, and there was enough seating for my group. My friends grabbed beers but decided to try out the Light Wind. The Light Wind is a gin and lemon cocktail, which was fresh and delicious. The bartender was friendly and made great small talk while he made my drink. The indoor space is much larger than what you see when you initially enter Halyards, and the back area includes a pool table and a room with smaller tables. There is also an outdoor seating area with picnic benches making it a great spot for group meet-ups. If you're in the area I would definitely recommend Halyards!

It's definitely a spacious place to watch the new England Patriots play. There are nice long open tables for people to sit. The screen is big for everyone to see. The beer selection is not bad at all. There were various different beers on tap. Not much food to choose from though. There were only kettle chips, nuts, personal pizza and grilled cheese to choose from. They could upgrade the menu with other small apps such as nachos, wings, or even chips with guacamole.

Super fun spot! With cheap, good drinks. Had a birthday celebration of 30 people here and it was wonderful.

Went to Halyards for drinks on Sunday afternoon. A bar in an unexpected location with fun drinks and a cool space. Quality: On a warm summer day we were looking to have a frozen drink and ended up at Halyards. The bar is a bit isolated in the Gowanus area and easy to forget about. They had Froses, Pina Coladas, and Margaritas available, along with a list of other drinks and some bar snacks. I was a big fan of the Pina Colada, which had a good consistency and taste. I was less excited about the Frose, which needed some sweetness added. It felt too heavy on just wine. Quantity: No issues with the size or strength of the Frozen Cocktails. Value: $10 for Frozen Cocktails. Ambiance: Halyards sits on the corner of 3rd Avenue in Gowanus. Just south of the massive Whole Foods, it is in an area heavily populated with garages and warehouses, but not many bars or restaurants. They have a pretty large space both inside and out. We were only inside for a moment, but there was a large bar, some high-tops, and it appeared a sort of game room in the back. Outside they were able to create an expansive patio area being the only bar on the block. It is a pretty nice setup with umbrellas, lights, plants, and picnic tables. They also had music playing outside, which is missing from a lot of COVID related outdoor spaces. Crowd: A few small groups hanging out in the outdoor patio area on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Service: The bartender was great. Despite being the only staff out in the bar area, he made sure to circulate through the outdoor area to refresh drinks. Parking: Plenty of street parking in this industrial area of Gowanus.

We came here last night to redeem our Autumn Tippler cocktail. The gentleman who was running the place said he was just about to close up but he would stick around a little longer for us since we came all this way. It was super nice of him to do so, but we couldn't help but feel a little bad since he was on his way out. We got our Anne Bonny cocktail and a small pizza for the table. The employee who took care of us put the Simpsons on the big projector screen. He then came over to tell us that there was absolutely no rush. He's used to leaving at 12 or 1 in the morning so 9PM is very early for him either way. Honestly, by this point, it was our fourth stop of the tour so I was a bit tipsy. I don't remember too much about the quality of the cocktail or the food but I remember how awesome the service was. Halyards is a bit of a trek for me but I would definitely return for the hospitality.

I came here during the Autumn Tippler to try their featured drink, the Anne Bonnie. Let me start off by saying, that the staff is super friendly. The person taking my order at the window was very knowledgeable about the drinks and food. I placed my order and seated myself at one of their outdoor tables. I ordered the Deviled Eggs for a bite and for drinks the Anne Bonnie and the Pumpkin Mezcal Margarita. The food was good, however, I wasn't impressed with the drinks. I found that the drinks were lacking in taste, especially the Pumpkin Mezcal Margarita. I do hope they improve it as the drink has so much potential.

I remember being here once when it was pouring outside and my friend and I were determined to get our free beer from one of those brokelyn beer books. I also remember liking this bar because their drafts were pretty cheap for being in the middle of the night, the bartender was cool, and more importantly they were hosting an evening of showing all of the Star Wars movies. You didn't have to say or do anything else. You won my heart. It's over. Came here this past weekend and it's still cheap and divey no matter what time of day or night but they do have an awesome happy hour and the vibe and people here are pretty fantastic. Mon-Fri 4-7pm - $2 off all drafts, $9 for their fancier cocktails that are normally around $10-12ish (still not bad for a cocktail), $6 wines, $5 wells. They also have a pool table and darts in the back room. I became one with their even cheaper canned beer and made a reunion with the gift of being weirdly decent at pool. (I was too drunk to throw darts) They also sell snacks like sandwiches, mini pizzas, nuts, pickles, chips.

I'm so happy this place was open during Covid. The customer service was great but this a a super casual place so there is not wait service. The tacos are good and drinks are cheap! It's only open on Fridays when it doesn't rain. It's really cold outside so I think they have blankets but I recommend bundling or recommend that they invest in an outdoor heater.

Favorite bar for the past 6 years (as long as I've lived in Brooklyn). This bar is very unassuming- in the best way. Tucked into Gowanus, this bar looks tiny from the outside. You enter through the front door (its main entrance) and the initial bar room is a good size with tables and chairs/stools. Once you get your drink, there's a pool table room with a tv, dart board and another table. Continuing on, there are a few other booths leading to another back area with tables and finally even further back is a room for comedy, jazz, events and/or more tables depending on the night. The drinks are awesome, great prices and they accept all major credit cards. Pre-COVID they have free comedy at least one night a week and also jazz and other events. During COVID, they have great outdoor tables and service along with tasty food! Highly recommend if you're in the hood. This place is my fav!

The place is very cool, a pool table, considerate staff and snacking food available. They have a pretty good beer selection, and pizza is good but toppings run out fast. I came for the GOT premier and got there 2.5 hrs prier to get good seats, unfortunately their tech had issues so they moved people to the back room and so there goes our seats. Everyone raced in and we were left in the back, ended up leaving and wasting half the evening holding down our seats and not seeing the premier. First recommendation to staff during this sort of situation is to have a back up plan ready, more staff for these sort of events, over stock than under stock on food.. get an idea of what to expect and estimate the quantities. I am sure they are up to the task for future events, and I like the place so I look forward to returning to see the results of their experiences. although the situation sucked, I was lucky enough to be in a great mood and good company so I had a good time either way.

Halyards is a great neighborhood bar, and has a really cool back room with a screen setup that's perfect for small events. My nonprofit uses this space for film screening events each year, and Halyards is always really accommodating and helpful. They often only have one person manning (or womanning) the bar, but that person is always killing it keeping up with all the drink orders! The food options are limited but perfect for bar snacking. Even though the pizzas are frozen, they are really quite tasty! I definitely recommend the one with truffle oil. They usually have a handful of nice beer options on tap, and a list of seasonal as well as traditional cocktails. The wine list is pretty small, but this is not that kind of a bar. There's a pool table and a dartboard and lots of cool peeps-- check it out.

Great neighborhood bar with great Bartenders. Comedy and trivia nights. Matt or Padrik are usually around, make a great drink and take care of the bar.

My buddy and came here twice for the Weird but Nice comedy show. Michelle is an amazing and hilarious host. Come see her on the 3rd Wednesday of every month. The show happens in the back room of the bar. Haylards itself is a cool bar with cool cocktail options. Sit at the bar if you want to have the regular experience or choose the booth inside if you have a small group. Play a game of pool if you're in to it, although i do wish the space where the table was a bit larger.

The hardest working Bartender in Brooklyn. I'm so sorry i didn't catch his name!! But i did enjoy his mixology skills! I popped in here for a drink before a show at the Bellhouse and it was a VERY quiet Sunday afternoon when i arrived at 6pm. The bartender was friendly. The bar proceeded to get REALLY busy. But he still took the time to be friendly and attentive to me and my friends at the bar. I saw him mixing 3 drinks at one time! this guy is a PRO. on top of all this, he was testing out new recipes and asked our opinions- they were both DELICIOUS. The owner of Halyards really got lucky with this bartender - hope he holds onto him and goes for the new drinks too!! Nothing like a fresh season cocktail menu! My ONLY reason for not giving 5 stars was the food menu was just meh.

A no frills pub in Gowanus. Moderately priced cocktails and drinks (though in-person menu/prices differ from online). Not too much in terms of food/snacks but the bar nuts are great! Lots of space for seating and there are board games too! Come on the first Monday of the month for some stand-up in the back! Wine & Sleaze is a fun time.

Friendly and attentive staff. A safe place to have a few cocktails outside along with staying warm and cozy. The tacos are amazing and I wish we lived a bit closer. But totally worth the drive.

Alert, New Englanders! This is a Pats bar and you can catch all Pats games here regardless if the home teams are playing on other channers. Pats! On a projector! With sound! I'm not a Pats fan, per se, but I have a lot of beloved friends that are and it is nice to be able to watch the games together at a low key bar. Food consists of frozen pizza type food - albeit fancy frozen pizzas - and cocktails are as reasonably priced as far as cocktails go. The seasonal selections I got all seemed to be lacking something - almost a little watered down tasting - but that didn't stop me from imbibing about four of them. There are some cheap $4 beers as well as nicer crafty stuff.

The Good. They have Uno. And Jenga. They have a pool table. They have $4 beers and cheap-ish cocktails. They have a secret-ish room in the back for private-ish parties and darts. The vibe: casual and fun. The Bad. I have been saying -ish entirely too much. It's in a no-man's land that, if you wander over and it turns out to be too packed, your nearby options are pretty limited. The Ugly. I ran into two separate acquaintances from high school here on the same night. For most people this isn't a problem, but I've been trying to conceal the fact that I destroyed innumerable lives when I was younger. And that's slightly harder to do when folks start screaming and crying when they see you, and people demand explanations.

I don't even like bars. I went here twice last night. TWICE. This must be love. I've walked by several times during the day and have often been curious about this little white brick place, Halyards. Sandwiched in an industrial area along 3rd Ave that is somewhat desolate in terms of nightlife, etc...I wondered what on earth it was doing here. As I never walk along here at night (a bit too void of people for my liking usually), I had never been able to stop in... Until last night. I was looking for a spot to get a drink prior to dinner at Buttermilk Channel, and this popped up. Yes a bit far in the other direction from Carroll Gardens, but in the middle for all parties, so it worked well. The Yelp reviews sold me that this would be a place I could get on board with. They steered me absolutely right. I arrived first and enjoyed a French 75 at the bar while wearing black stripes and red lipstick. My attire has nothing to do with it, but regardless...I dug the vibe. The French 75 was a treat, as well...served in a champagne flute. Jenga. Pool. Darts. Cocktails$8. Dim light. Nice people. Not crowded. Cozy. Wine. Beer. Cocktails$8. Buttermilk Channel called, and our group of 4 quickly shuffled to have dinner...it's the first time (maybe ever) I thought to myself "I'm not done here yet! There are other things here to drink and do and see." Nonetheless, Buttermilk Channel waits for no one, and we left... The End. --- Not quite. After dinner our group split and we headed back to our Gowanus apartment...almost. We diverted to Halyards for two more drinks around 1130pm, and it was perfectly and contentedly buzzing without being overwhelming or obnoxious. People were laughing and playing Jenga and getting drunk and enjoying their friends and it was one of those utopian nights where everyone that wants to sit has a chair and the bartender is never too busy to make you a drink. It was lovely. I would certainly be back next time we want to do cocktails or drinks in the 'hood. A great lounge hidden amongst 3rd Avenue with just the recipe for a good night of drinking that will not be a scene or stress you out. *Come early for darts/pool...especially on weekends. *Accept credit cards, but obviously cash is easier. *Several long communal tables = great for groups. *Easy street parking (though I don't recommend driving) nights/weekends or easy walking distance to 4th Ave/9th Street trains. Plus, I hear Tchoup Shop does guest cheffing here once in awhile. I will assuredly be front and center the next time that rolls around.

Best grilled cheese around! Drinks and service are also good, and there's generally room to sit with a group which is nice when you're looking for a cozy spot for a few without pushing your way through a wall of hipsters.

Went here for a comedy show and it was nice! I like that the bar has an area for "shows." I had a tequila mixed drink that was bought by the beau and it was good. Hope to come back again!

Not sure of whom Mr. Thomas C. was speaking in his review, but if it's the same bartender I see there every Sunday when I watch the game, he either caught her on a bad day (spoiler alert: bartenders are also humans :o) or just has no idea what he's talking about. The Sunday in question was extremely busy. I was also there. Despite that, my interactions with the same bartender were all extremely friendly and fun! She is the first bartender I met here, when seeking refuge as a Pats fan in hostile territory, and she has always been just as kind since. OK, so... As for the rest of the bar, it's a great time, especially on Sundays during football season for the Pats games. The bar gets packed with people who all just want to cheer along with you for your favorite team and have some beers (ok, and shots, if you're my husband and me). It's a warm, FRIENDLY, fun place (can't stress the fun part enough). If you haven't been, you're missing out.

A dorkfest for avid fans of the Sunday shows of Mad Men (RIP) and Game of Thrones. This place features both shows back-to-back, and they kick the evening off with a bit of GOT trivia and character defined cocktails (eg. Lady Arya and White Walker). I would highly recommend avoiding ordering a grilled cheese during Game of Thrones. Trust me. -Grilled cheese -GOT trivia and viewings on Sundays (8pm)

A friend and I came here last night for Bitches Brew, a weekly comedy show. Arriving just after 6:00, we were able to take advantage of happy hour, which runs Monday through Friday from 4:00 until 7:00. Since it was Friday, I started out with a Manhattan. Complete with a Halyards cherry, it hit the spot. The bartender also gave me a glass of sparkling water, which was refreshing. After all, Manhattans are potent, especially in Brooklyn ;) The show didn't start until 8:30, so we ordered another round and a pickle plate before making our way to the back room. Selecting a simple pilsner, it paired well with the pickles. The show itself was great. A total of six comedians and the host made me laugh so much over the course of an hour that by the time it had finished, my mouth hurt. I needed that. I definitely plan to return.

We played a show here the other day. We were in the basement venue portion of the place, so this is a review for that. The space is pretty small, and yet there are a bunch of tables crammed in there for good measure, but navigating the crowd was not as hard as it looked at first. The sound there was surprisingly good, and the stage looked small, but provided more than enough space for even the four-member bands that played. The bands made a decent sum off of the door sales, and the members were each given a drink ticket, which is somehow NOT common practice at most places. Despite being pretty far from where I live, I would play Halyards again.

I am never really in this area but this bar seems very neighborhood friendly. A version of "Cheers" lets say. Alot of people use that reference but I think I would definitely head back here whenever I am around this part of town. The crowd was pretty live for early in the night on a saturday. The Brooklyn East India Pale ale that I had here was pretty impressive. I agree usually not too crowded it seems. I would come back with a large group, that would probably make it more fun. VERY industrial street that it is on (not far from the subway), but there is NOTHING else really around to left or right on the same street.

Was really excited to try this spot but wasn't impressed with the cocktails we ordered.

This might be my new favorite bar! The A-frame outside advertised "cozy up w/ beer, whiskey, and wine" and that's exactly what we did. In fact, I would say you can down right hot at Halyards. They've got a couple different areas, loosely separated by walls w/ open doorways. You first walk in to the long dark wood bar accompanied by 2 bar-height communal tables situated in an L configuration (one of them contains beautiful copper bowls filled with JENGA blocks!!!). Beyond that is a smaller room that barely contains a pool table atop a cowhide, a dart board, and two tiny tables. The last and smallest room has a huge U-shaped party booth, the last stop before reaching the restrooms all the way at the back. I loved the layout, the laid-back vibe, and the reasonable but well curated cocktail and beer list. I had a delicious seasonal pumpkin ale while my two friends sipped beautifully executed cocktails from champagne and martini glasses. Our bartender for the evening was attentive and knowledgeable but kept everything relaxed. The tunes running out of his laptop at the end of the bar were a pleasant mix of indie and mainstream pop/rock, not blasting too loud to drown out conversation. If only Halyards weren't a dismal Gowanus-style trek from a subway line I think I would move every friendly meet-up I could there! I bike, so I didn't feel too intimidated getting to and from but I was concerned for my fellow (petite) ladies making a long trek back to civilization close to midnight.

PRICE GOUGING - AVOID AT ALL COSTS! This is the most overpriced bar in Brooklyn. $9 for a Guinness without tip! $10 total! They don't post the price of their drinks on the chalkboards because they are so expensive. Saturday afternoon 2pm - no happy hour prices. The bartender pours me a drink, I ask how much and she says $9, I said $9 for a Guinness?, she says $9 with tax that's Brooklyn. I happen to be standing by the register when she rang up the bill. It was actually $8.74...I couldn't care less about the .26 cents but they are rounding up and keeping the extra money from each customer, which isn't cool on principle. I assumed (that's on me) that a Guinness wouldn't cost $9 - which I think is a safe assumption. After the bartender told me $9 I checked the menu and it said the Guinness was $8 - most bars factor in the price of tax in the drink price - they don't charge you tax on top and then on top of that round up. She already poured the beer so I wasn't going to tell her I didn't want it and I wasn't going to punish the bartender and not leave her a tip - she may have been the owner, I don't know but regardless I wasn't not going to tip her - total $10 for one pint of Guinness in the middle of the afternoon!!! That is absurd!! Maybe if it was some kind of craft brew or hard to find beer but $10 for a pint of Guinness?!?!?!? Needless to say, I had one beer and left and won't be back. I know a ton of people in the neighborhood as I have lived here for a very long time and I have been and will continue to tell them to AVOID AT ALL COSTS - PRICE GOUGING!!!!!

Great bar, good cocktails, nice bartenders and they have a pool table. My only problem, there's a half step going down into the back room and I always trip on it. Or maybe I just need to imbibe a little less and watch where I'm walking.

I came here for a friend's birthday party on a Saturday night. He reserved a long table for all of us and the plan was to just drink and play some games. They have a pool table too which provided a nice break for us in between the other games. The bar was surprisingly not too crowded even on Saturday night so it was a pretty nice spot to just chill with friends. I got the prosciutto pizza which was good, nothing amazing, but good in comparison to standard bar fare. The drinks are really good, and fairly strong. Bartender is friendly and didn't even charge some of us for our drinks (not sure if that was intentional or an oversight). Overall, good place to hang out and play some games!

I used to come to this spot all the time. The pandemic forced them to change their business operations up a bit. Bartenders became eager to sell me food and even at one point "required" for me to buy something to eat with my bev. Even buying a to-go drink was a thing for a while here until one day it wasn't. This business isn't for me anymore, as there are many bars and restaurants within walking distance that offer a better experience for me.

Went as a Pregame stop before the Bell House, probably worth checking out if you are making your way to this area. It was a very unintimidating bar, plenty of space on a Friday around 11:30. I enjoyed the variety of seating options, besides bar space there were small tables, a long communal table, and past the pool table a private table and a private booth which I feel works for any type of gathering. Draft beers were $6 or so, and I had a delicious grilled cheese for around the same price. The bartender was cool and approachable. I hope to get back here and maybe fill up the space with a bunch of friends.

A fantastic neighborhood bar with a subtle, tasteful Maine theme. Great beer list - not too overwhelming, everything's good. Good pours. The food's good, very friendly staff. I am biased of course because I host comedy shows in the back room on Saturday nights. 8pm, doors 7. Come through.

Don't know what else to give it besides one star. Called ahead last weekend to see if they were open. They said of course. Walked over, outdoor music was playing, lights were on inside and out, door was locked. Knocked but no one answered. Place was empty. Walked around the side, peered in the windows. Saw what I can only guess was the bartender sitting back with his feet up watching tv while he nodded off. Oh well.

Came here for the Bitches Brew comedy show. I really like the set-up here. The front has a counter, stools, a few tables, and standing space. The middle section has a pool table. Behind it are two booths. To the right of the bathrooms, there's a door leading to a room. That's where the comedy show is held. Free and absolutely hilarious. Definitely recommend. Bartenders are accommodating and helpful.

Great bar, music selection was as pleasant as the lighting and the fella with the mustache was the most pleasant bartender I've come across in years. Good place for a chat...or to quietly stare at your phone

The drinks were watered down and the pizza had a soggy crust. I am extremely disappointed in the service and quality of the food and drinks!

They're doing a great job with their outdoor drinking setup. Tables are clearly at least 6 feet apart, not just 6 feet between the center of tables, and there are 11 of them! There's hand sanitizer at each table, and the frozen drinks are great for these steamy days. Palo Santo was dishing out tacos one of the days we were there so that rocks.

The prices are perfect for a low-key night that isn't going to break the bank. 5$ beers and something normal for well-drinks that I don't remember. Trivia on Thursdays!! We had a really good time - teamed up with some people and the trivia began! The best part is that it is FREE and there are actual prizes - round of drinks/beers/bottle of champagna for winners depending on place. Totally calm/rowdy/funny unlike some other SUPER SERIOUS dead QUIET annoying places. We stopped in another time on a weekend and it had a pretty good crowd. The liquor selection looks small but there is definitely every type of liquor just not every brand. You can order food and bring it inside which is awesome. People had some Michael and Ping's from down the street and pizza as well. This trumps any type of generic bar food which would downgrade the place. The overwhelming smell of gross food and people chomping away while I'm trying to hang out is nasty.

Great new neighborhood bar with affordable drink prices. Wine is $6 a glass, and they offer a red and a white from the owner's vineyard in South Africa. The shiraz is deiicious! They have several bubbly wines which are always fun, and there's a well-edited beer and whiskey selection. The decor is warm and relaxed. The back room has a dart board and there's a little cozy nook if you want a little privacy. I haven't tried the food yet - they offer a couple sandwiches - but plan to at some point. Also, the staff is super, super friendly. As this place is right down the street from my apartment, I expect to be quite a bit.

Lovely place, I wish I lived closer! I didn't quite know what to expect on that stretch of 3rd Ave., but walking inside on a Sunday afternoon was a pleasant surprise! Decor was warm but not too dark. Loverly stained bar. I loved the gold-ish accents. Definitely classy. Made me wonder what I was doing there. They have games--primarily pool and more than one set of Jenga! Woot! Service was friendly--not too overbearing, yet not ignoring us either. Beer was good. They had a nice selection on draft, with some $5 pints and $6 pints. So, easy on the wallet too. Would definitely come back! It was calm but not dead, which is just what I wanted.

Solid addition to the hood. 4-star place anywhere else in the neighborhood, but because I appreciate the location, gonna go ahead and bump that little extra star on up there. Swanky interior, nice collection of tables (communal, big-top, 2-top, 4-tops), record player with nice collection of albums (good variety and covers the classics - they might even let you BYO? that would be sweet) that it seems they let you pick your music from. I was happy with the beer selection; yeah, they don't have a lot of choices, but the choices they do have are good stuff (w/ the exception of Stella). The sandwiches we ordered hit the spot... Especially like the pickles they came with. Finally some good dill pickles! The kicker? They have a typewriter. Had a great time writing a story four words at a time with my harem.
