Extensive selection of Kosher Sushi Rolls (hot and cold) and Bowl styles, including Chirashi and Poke. Miso soup was salty, but the rolls did not disappoint. Very generous portions, to say the least. The fish was excellent, fresh and generous cut, and vegetables were fresh. Small seating area with a Sushi bar. Corner space. I had the "Kate," Roll and Mom had a Hamachi and Avocado Roll. Got to meet Kate as a bonus. They also have a Kosher Chinese selection. I could not believe how many to-go orders went out the door in the short time we were there.

Google
the sushi in the photo (I don't really know all the names for sushi) was really good, but you know what's better? the sushi burrito (I'm so sorry, I don't know the names) was very filling, mostly because there's a lot of fish. The chairs are my only complaint, they're not bad, but not five stars good

Google
Small. About four tables. Great deal to come for lunch. Ran out of meat and rice the night before so we couldn't get their beef and broccoli. Got four rolls and two miso soups for $40. Didn't like the dragonfly, but loved the redhead, ahava and salmon jalapeno. Dragonfly was just too hard and didn't stay as one piece with the chopsticks, ahava was the black rice which had a peanut taste. Ordered next day for the meat and got takeout. Got beef and broccoli and sesame chicken with fried rice. All were 5/5.

Google
Certainly a very good effort and a lot of thought went into the menu. I'm sure that regular customers will have their favorite dishes. For a first time viator, I found the menu to be a little overwhelming. Less is more... But everything we ordered was delicious.

Google
super place, beautiful little intimate spot at Dodge/Howard, they have great Japanese & Chinese food, their quality is extremely good relative to its price, highly recommended for dine-in or delivery/take-out.... A++

Google
Very good, fresh food. Their Chicago take on Pho with Romanian sausage was good, but not excellent. It should of had more flavour than it had. I can't even remember what main I had, which means it was fine but not memorable good or bad. Service was laid back and excellent. I would visit again and try their other offerings.

Google
That case when you want to leave zero stars. The place is filthy, the server didn’t come once to check on us. Never ever brought water. I suspect all those 5 star reviews are fake.

The food is always good at Hamachi, but the Forbidden Bento box was a pleasant surprise! Perfect combination, filling and delicious.

Yelp
Checked out this little sushi place that's on Howard. Hamachi looks pretty cramped inside. It seems to do a lot of takeout for no surprise. Easy to see why with the limited space to eat. There's still usually enough tables if you want to eat inside though. At lunch is when to come. It has pretty good specials going on. The regular prices are pretty expensive, so these are a great value. It's about $18 for the choice of 2 Ura Maki. We got the Mango Roll and the Trio Tempura Roll. Each of these is among the vegetarian choices. The special also comes with miso soup. Mango Roll had mango of course. There was also avocado and sweet potato tempura. Good stuff. The Trio Tempura Roll had eggplant, sweet potato, and zucchini. Also good stuff. This was a lot of food for one person though. Enough to share for a couple. Thankfully we only got one special. Go at lunch. It has pretty great specials. There's plenty of choices for fish eaters and vegetarians.

Yelp
Good sushi. Good service. Good lunch specials. No alcoholic beverages. I have been here twice now and both times were a good experience. Would recommend, would return.

Yelp
Disclaimer: If you are craving a traditional Japanese food, this is not the place. Now onto the service and food. If I could give them 11 stars on the service, I would. Very lively, polite, totally make you feel comfortable and at home. They really should be extremely proud of that. Made me believe again that there are places in the US that can and do provide fantastic service making you feel at home without having to give an arm and a leg (and that too for a roboticly superficial good service). We came here with the intention of having good Japanese food. Please keep in mind that was our yard stick. As I mentioned in the disclaimer, if you are looking for traditional and authentic Japanese food, this is not the place for you this go round. But if you have patience and are willing to try something with an open mind, you may enjoy the food. The one thing they certainly have going for them is vegetarian. Unlike a lot of the traditional Japanese restaurants out there (BTW, I have yet to find a truly authentic one with authentic flavors in the US), their rolls are filled with a lot of veggies. The only thing that could be done differently is along with the veggies, you gotta have some of the Japanese pickle inside the rolls. That will elevate the rolls to a different level. I had the El Nino frankly after reading the word 'habanero.' I was expecting a good chunk of heat but there wasn't any. It was a good roll though. We also ordered the vegetable tempura appetizer. Great veggies. Again, not traditional tempura (not the traditional batter, etc.) The sauces that came with it though were really really good. Also ordered a plate of the vegetarian harumaki which I thought was probably the least favorite part of the meal. If you have ever eaten a harumaki, you know the cover is super thin and crispy. Knowing at that point that this was not a traditional Japanese joint, I still feel the harumaki could have been better. It seemed like a miniature version of an egg roll you would get a bad Chinese restaurant. The only other thing I think they can do better is the rolling of the sushil rolls. They almost fell apart every time. I intend to visit the place again but without expecting any traditional Japanese food. I can't talk enough about the friendliness and service guys. Maybe I'm old but these folks really made me want to come back again just to be treated so nice.

Yelp
was pretty meh.. my daughter loves, loves sushi but the tuna was... kinda.. off tasting.i dont like they don't let the fish sit on ice. it was all wrapped up and that is probably what made it taste meh... my mom's thing was not how it was the last times she has gotten it :(

Yelp
Why does everything have mayonnaise???? I mean really? So she is about the fish but when everything is covered in mayonnaise everything just tastes like mayonnaise so why bother?

Yelp
Updating from 1 year ago. At the time I noted that they've expanded from just sushi to Chinese food offerings, now they've added some Indian selections. I also noted that the menu is quite large, now it will be even larger! Quite a feat for such a small space!! During the pandemic we've only taken out and I really appreciate that they tell you which dishes best survive the take out option (not all items taste as good as when dining in). This last time we took out I was anxious to try the pho, well, I definitely could've done without it- it's probably the only thing I've ever had there that was just ok. I also tried, for the first time, their New House Salad which I thought was outstanding, obviously a taste preference because my husband did not agree. Everything we've ever gotten there was very good. In total we ordered the salad, pho, 2 rolls, and 3 Chinese dishes. A lot of food for 3 people but it did last us through several meals.

Yelp
The sushi is amazing!!!! We ordered almost every roll off of there menue. All of them were amazing. It took over an hour for all the food to be ready but it was worth the wait. The fish is so fresh and the huny Wasabi gives a nice sweat addition to almost ever roll. My favorites from the basic menu were: the hamachi jalapeño (the deep fried jalapeño and the suracha on top realy help this roll stand out from the others) and the roll with the pickled onions (sorry can't remember the name) (the mixture of flavors were amazing) Yes I am sad that there is no indoor seating because of covid 19. It makes me sad when I think about all the lost opportunity because of covid 19. Parking here on the street is still very hard to come by. I think you can park across the street but I didn't see a sign saying anything.
google avatar

Ben B.

Yelp
Before covid I used to go to this place a lot because the food is good the prices are ok and the staff are amazing. Now with covid it feels so awkward to get some from here the few time that I did it just felt weird. They are like 100 feet away and you pay with credit card. Honestly it makes me feel like I walked into one of those places in bad areas that have the bullet proof glass. The food is still amazing but that connection I used to have when I ate there is going thanks to covid. Oooo yeh they now have parking across the street.

Yelp
Since the pandemic started, we have not been eating in restaurants. However, we have had the pleasure of ordering delivery from Hamachi twice now! We really enjoy the Butternut Squash Soup, Orange Chicken and Mongolian Beef! Superb quality.

Yelp
Just moved in the area, walked past and a guy left carrying sushi. So I walked in just to see it and I don't know if this guy was having a bad day or what but he basically read me cause they weren't open yet...I left looked at the hours on the door and I was there 3mins before opening. It was just rude, any business you might've gotten from me is gone.

Yelp
This place was great. Only downside was that service was pretty slow for being one of 3 tables during lunchtime. Sushi, though. Delicious. Me and my 2 siblings for the lunch special - miso soup and 2 ura maki rolls (inside out) for only $14!! I switched out the soup for butternut squash for an extra $2. It was good, but I also tried the miso soup which was also good, so you can't go wrong there. Sushi- I got the crunchy forbidden rice and redhead roll. Redhead roll was kind of falling apart and had too much of those garlic stuff on top for me, so I pushed a lot of them off. Forbidden rice one was the better choice for me in this round. My brother got the hamachi jalapeno and dragonfly roll. Didn't like the jalapeno one, it was too spicy, but the hamachi inside was very fresh. Dragonfly roll seemed very similar in taste to the redhead roll, it was okay. My sister got the ahava roll and cornflake sake. Hands down, the best 2 rolls we had there that day. They were both great, fresh, and beautifully displayed. Great lunch deal if your craving sushi. It's definitely a meal that will fill you up for a great deal with many great options....can't wait to try more!

Yelp
Was looking forward to finally eating here. Husband made reservations for our anniversary. We were rather disappointed. This place is very much a "hole in the wall" with prices that suggested something otherwise. Whilst we were waiting, waitress kept apologizing as she pushed past us, maskless, instead of giving us time to move aside. The table at which we were seated was wet and still quite dirty. I asked our maskless waitress if it could be wiped down again and she stated that it was "probably paint". She begrudgingly wiped it again, still missing a large corner of the table, leaving it very wet again. Behind the "bar" looked questionable in cleanliness, window sill had several dead bugs on it. The fish in the sushi we ordered (crunchy tuna roll) was as NOT fresh. It was mushy, as was the rice. Entrees were a mixed bag. Ten minutes between first and second entrees being served, five minutes until the third, and yet another five before the last of us was served. I cannot comment on the first two dishes (poke bowl and mushroom yaki soba) served but the meat portion of the beef yaki soba was dry, despite the sauce and rather tough. The Chilean sea bass was done to near perfection (2 stars for that). For sushi though, I've had better from Jewel.

Yelp
One of the best spicy tuna (my go-to) rolls I've had in Chicago. Hubby enjoyed his salmon katsu sandwich. I also really liked the sweet avo roll. Our meals were solid and tasty, and we'll definitely order from here again. Glad it's so close!

Yelp
Many years have passed and this restaurant has changed. All for the good. "Most accommodating restaurant! I am on a special diet and they took the best care of me!!!! I was able to get a large tuna steak with veggies. I have never felt so comfortable. They went out of their way big time. Thank you!!!!"
google avatar

Daniella A.

Yelp
the food is very yummy! i love the Bento Starter box. The steak is good, but if you are ordering steak for pick up remember that it continues to "cook" while in the package. I like steak a little pink and although i ordered it that way (i am sure that is how they made it), by the time i got it home there was no pink in sight... for dine in it is totally yummy though!

Vladimir G.

Yelp
I ordered salmon, yellowtail sushi rolls, and gyoza. The fish was very, very small. The rice was more porridge. The amount of ginger and wasabi was laughable. In the past, several times, the orders were not fulfilled correctly.

Yelp
The two stars is because its better than no stars. I have been here two times with people who keep kosher. While I cant be confused for a Rabbi or anything, I walked right in for the 2nd time yesterday. The service is not that good. I should notice that it was 80 degrees outside and the vents above seemed to be on full blast with the A/C on. It did not matter since I was roasting still. They must do something with the ventilation. Its for sure over priced but then again that is done purposefully since like all the other kosher establishments in Chicago perhaphs they feel where else will they go ? One place would be the Jewel on Howard where they have a large kosher section however the sushi they sell over there is on the shelf in a regrigirated section that has been there for 12 hours- 2 days. Not cool at all. In NY there are kosher sushi places that do it right. I feel the propieters would be served right if they took a trip to NY and went to Haikara, Eden Wok or other places in Manhattan that look like they care about their customers. if they fix the ventilation or circulation of the A/c I will give it 3 stars By the way what sushi place that wants to be taken seriously would sell 5 types of Herring? This one

Yelp
So last week I stopped in and made and order to go. I specifically asked for my Chinese dish to be made mild. Well I got home and almost had a fire in my mouth. I went back today to order some sushi and the same dish. I was insured this time that all will be ok. I got home and low and behold everything was delicious and the Chinese food was delish and cooked perfectly. Chani who took the order was awesome !!!
google avatar

Diana B.

Yelp
This probably is the only kosher sushi place in Rogers Park besides the Marianos located on Touhy & McCormick Blvd. I'd definitely recommend it as a neighborhood sushi spot. However, I wouldn't recommend the miso soup because it is served at room temperature. (Tear, tear, as I was looking forward to warming up my body with that miso.) When we asked for our soups to be warmed up, they came right back to us at room temperature . I forgave them once I tried the crunchy spicy salmon and Bento box. The bento box had all sorts of cuts and good portions. They have an extensive menu so there are plenty of options for vegetarianos and carnivore eaters. Perfect for a date or group of 3. After 3, it gets a little tight.

Michall G.

Yelp
The food tasted decent, but the service was horrible. I was told when I called that they had a reservation an hour after I would arrive to make sure I hurried up. I did hurry my whole large party and we finished within 45 minutes of arrival, and the other reservation didn't even sit in our spot! I would think twice about eating there in person again.
google avatar

Yelp
I have eaten here several times, and always been pleased. Fresh ingredients, well presented, reasonable prices, and METAL chop sticks; not the cheap disposable kind. I can really use them to eat. Kosher food is more expensive to prepare than non-Kosher food. There are more steps and supervision involved. If wine is brought in, it must be sealed, marked "Kosher" from a reliable Kosher certifying agency, and it must be "mevushal", that is, cooked. I, a Kosher consumer, do not appreciate any of the rules being broken and indeed, would report any observed violations to the certifying agency.

Lynn L.

Yelp
We've ordered food from here many times and it's always been quite good... BUT, tonight was awful! The food was non-edible! Out of four dinners ordered, three were so salty, they were truly disgusting. And interestingly, the fourth had no flavor at all. We called to have our order re-placed. The first guy told us they've been getting a lot of complaints tonight but we'd have to talk to someone else. The second one said that everyone has reported that the food is delicious (I highly doubt that, since it's currently carry out only). He refused to re-make the meals, but did say he'd refund our money. I'm waiting to see if it reflects on my credit card. Very disappointed... not only with the food, but with the second guy's attitude.

Yelp
Their fire sushi burrito is my favorite item. They have a lot of vegetarian options which is what brought me into Hamachi. Friendly staff, a bit small place to eat there on a date, but the quality of the food makes up for that. Great take out place would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Martyn A.

Yelp
I called Tuesday about when I should place my order for Friday curbside.I was told to call back on Thursday.I called back Thursday at 1 and was told they were not taking any new orders.I was told to call back by 3 to see if they could me accomodate me.I called at 3 .No answer.I called Friday morning to speak to the manager about this. The employee would not transfer my call. They have lost me as a customer.Their customer service was terrible!

Julia A.

Yelp
This place is amazing. I was worried about getting sushi with my family because there aren't usually a lot of vegetarian options. This place, on the other hand, has a vegetarian section clearly visible on the menu. I got the Mix Yasai Ura Maki, and it was hands down the best sushi I've ever had. My family also really enjoyed their (non-vegetarian) rolls. I'll definitely be back soon.

Judie B.

Yelp
Ordered a tray from hamachi last nite for my family and everything was incredibly delicious. Can't wait to order again. I highly recommend this place.

Yelp
i absolutely LOVE this Sushi Bar. I drove by all the time and they always looked closed or as if they were having some private invitation only party. A coworker of mine almost convinced me this was a "nude Sushi bar" to explain why the curtains were always down. I almost believed him. I found their business hours from their website and made plans to stop in when they were open. Everything was reasonably priced! I love raw fish, but because of my daughter I stick with california rolls when I have to share. The staff was very polite and the atmosphere was great. I didn't order ahead but I was able to watch my order being made and it took less than 5 minutes. I certainly plan on coming back here again!
google avatar

Manya T.

Yelp
Came a skeptic, left a believer. DISCLAIMER: I do not ONLY eat at kosher restaurants, so I'm not locked into eating at crappy kosher places when I don't want to. That said, I am interested in supporting better kosher options in Chicago, since the current offerings are either limited or plain bad. Anyway, the miso soup here was normal, nothing fancy, but solid. The sushi was amazing. The spicy tuna roll was a standout, as was the Cali Crunch roll. (There aren't a lot of sushi places that put wasabi-pea encrusted avocado in their rolls- and it was phenomenal). We also had a nice toll that had cooked sesame-encrusted salmon in them. YUMMMMMM. Guys, go here. There are rolls the likes of which you won't find elsewhere. In my mind, it's worth the trek.
google avatar

Abby A.

Yelp
I've gone twice and ordered the sashimi assortment both times. The first time was a lovely presentation with nice-sized cuts of fish. The second time was an over-the-top presentation with TINY cuts of fish. While I certainly appreciate the artistry, I am still going in for a meal. The selection of rolls is pretty extensive. Many are either vegetarian or contain cooked fish, so those leery of raw fish will have plenty of options. I think it is a bit pricy. While I certainly understand that a kosher establishment has additional costs, $4.50 for an a-la-carte miso soup is ridiculous. We also ordered a tempura appetizer that was kind of anemic. I'll give it another shot in a few weeks since they're new, I LOVE sushi, and they're walking distance. I'd like to see tamago added to the menu, and a mirror added to the restroom!

Al F.

Yelp
This place will never disappoint us...just another delicious sushi dinner for the entire family of 4 + next day lunch for a little over $50. Sing me up!
google avatar

Lily S.

Yelp
I feel really bad writing a negative review for such a new mom n pop but this place is really bad. Ordered 2 orders of sake nigiri for $7 a pop, n their contest winner featured on the table, called Hako Maki, which was salmon over rice topped w pineapple salsa n spicy mayo sauce for $12. Overall, Rice was undercooked, skimpy on salmon, service was mediocre, n prices were unreasonably high. Will not be back, not worth the time or money. Renga Tei is less than 2 miles away n taste better n is more reasonably priced... why does Renga Tei not open earlier - then I could have avoided this place.

Yelp
I love Hamachi!! Its a small place on the corner, careful you might miss it. The staff is delightful and they seat you right away. It can be busy but i recommend going first thing about 11 am. The Salmon Teriyaki is fresh and so Delicious. My fathers favorite every time. My personally i like the crunchy spicey tuna roll. The rolls are so big that i can never finish it. I wish this place was closer to my house.
google avatar

Samuel C.

Yelp
Good food, however the prices are a little high. I don't think I am going back here however, the ambiance is poor. The high ceiling, and not being able to see the street (its a film on the windows- which could be nice to block the view of the traffic, but ends up making the space feel closed in.) I really hope they fix the ambiance here. Small place and the prices are high.
google avatar

Adele S.

Yelp
I don't like giving a bad review so I'll accentuate the positives. The rice was cooked properly and the spicy tuna was fresh, although my daughter said not spicy enough. My husband and I tried the meat menu. The chicken spring rolls were crispy, not soggy, and full of chicken and mushrooms. Chicken yakitori bento box needs work. I was unable to tell what the chicken was marinated in. The bed of matchstick carrots and greenbeans were well cooked but flavorless. The fried rice also lacked flavor. Beef gyoza wrappers were crisp and tender but beef doesn't work. For gyoza, you need ground chicken, chopped scallions, grated ginger, red pepper flakes, salt...oops, that's my recipe, but it'd work more successfully than the ground beef. Overall, everything lacked flavor...there was no umami to any of the food. The side sauces that came with the bento boxes were an uninspired mango peach and a vinegary teriyaki that added nothing to the chicken. The miso soup was alright, maybe a little light? Looked like white miso, we wanted stronger flavor. I don't know if we'll be back for a while. This was a splurge we can't afford more than a couple times a year. I left unsatisfied...one little corner of my stomach crying for flavor that wasn't there. The food isn't bad but you might want to ask if they have chili oil or sriracha. I will likely stick to fish if we come back.
google avatar

Sany N.

Yelp
Sushi with Catherine N. Unfortunately we had to send back the yellowtail roll because you can tell the fish wasn't fresh and had a super fishy taste.. We substituted it for the spicy salmon roll instead, which was alright. Between the three rolls we tried, the spicy tuna was the best. The prices were however quite reasonable. Each of the three rolls were roughly $8 each. There wasn't a wait and we went there around 8:30pm on a Sunday. It was still about 70% full when we came. Most likely would not come here again. Still trying to find a decent sushi spot here in Chicago! I know I know, its hard when its not a coastal state... but there's hope.
google avatar

Basi S.

Yelp
The sushi is always fresh and tasty. They also have different options for entrees and everything we have tried from the menu so far has been super satisfying. The sushi burrito is ON point and I also recommend El Niño sushi roll. Service is great! I'm in love with this place. The sushi is always fresh and tasty. They also have different options for entrees and everything we have tried from the menu so far has been super satisfying. The sushi burrito is ON point and I also recommend El Niño sushi roll. Service is great! The sushi chefs and Christina are always so nice. Needless to say, we come here as much as possible.

Yelp
Okay so I just went here for the first time and the last time. I ordered the Eden. It was pretty good. The only thing that killed this whole thing was the service. I walk in no hello ,how are you, nothing. She handed my receipt to sign didn't even thank me just walked away. I will never go here again. If I could give it no stars i would....

Paula L.

Yelp
We ordered rolls that were fairly good tasting. My daughter just wanted a bowl of plain rice. She nearly threw up. I tasted it and it was vile. We asked the server if it was plain rice. She said, "Yes, it's plain rice in vinegar." About 15 minutes later, she came back with another bowl of rice. I said, "Thanks for getting plain rice." She responded, "We don't have plain rice. This is rice with vinegar." Forgetting the rice story, I won't go back even though I like supporting kosher restaurants. However, not one staff person said hi or smiled the entire time. It's amazing how bad customer service can ruin a dinner out. Our server did not smile once or show any personality. She didn't want to be there working and it really ruined the meal. Service was slow. I don't think I'd even order carryout from there. If I want kosher sushi, I'll pick some up at the Howard Jewel.

Peanut L.

Yelp
Love the food, great atmosphere, nice people, this is my favorite restaurant ever. I wish I could eat here every day
google avatar

Keilah B.

Yelp
The two stars given justifies the flavor of the specialty roll my boyfriend and I ordered. We would give zero stars for customer service. It took 30 minutes for us to get the 3 rolls we ordered. We would understand that if the place was busy but there were 4 other customers there at the time. We would have ordered more but it took too long the first time so we left hungry. Also they never actually brought us a check. After about 20 minutes of waiting we went to the front to pay $44 for our 3 rolls. We will never eat here again. Overpriced and poor service.
google avatar

Chester P.

Yelp
Decent sushi spot in West Rogers Park but to be honest, it's really the only option if you keep kosher and all things considered it's solid. I'm not a huge sushi fan but I usually order out once a week and their sushi is consistently solid, which can't be said of all places. Hamachi won't blow you away but it has never provided a poor experience for me either, more of a low ceiling/high floor kind of restaurant. Decent, consistent and reliable.
google avatar

Jonathan L.

Yelp
I went to Hamachi for a date with my wife. What a wonderful place! The setting is modern, and very artistic. The food's presentation is bar-none: everything looks like a work of art. I felt bad eating this artwork. But I ate it, because it was awesome. Incredible sushi. The price was not cheap. But it was definitely worth it. The only drawback is that there is no alcohol on the menu. Worse things have happened. I can't wait to go back.
google avatar

Mila G.

Yelp
Great varied selection of creative rolls. I liked that each roll was cut into 10 very reasonable pieces - felt like a good value and like we got to eat more food. Its a small space, but doesnt feel loud even if most tables are occupied. Appreciated the american options for the non-sushi eaters in our party, and the fries which my father ordered were some of the better fries i've had in the city - great spice and texture.
google avatar

Danny V.

Yelp
I rarely eat out, but when I do I eat simple, pizza, maybe a burger. One exception I make is for sushi. I had the "Blue Man Group", my friend had the signature dish, the "Hamachi". It was delicious! Some of the menu is local Chicago themed. Dishes like the "White Sox" or "Cubs" for example are on the menu. The prices are reasonable for sushi and the portions are quite large. Its perfect for takeout although they have a bar you can sit at and eat, plus three or four tables. I would recommend Hamachi Sushi Bar to anyone who loves great sushi for an affordable price.

Hero B.

Yelp
Good sushi and friendly staff. Been a few times and never overly crowded which I like. Swing by if you get a chance.

Yelp
Walked in with my wife to try this new place by our home. We were excited because we love sushi and there's not much close by. We opened the door and saw a very cozy place with a good amount of people dining. There was no greeting when we walked in and no host to seat or greet us. The waitress saw us and instead of saying hello and asking if we'd like a seat, she walked passed us and grabbed a reserved sign from the counter and put it by the one open table in the place. Not once during this whole time were we acknowledged even though there were others behind the counter. We turned around and left. They must've not wanted our business. We won't go there again.

Yelp
Kosher Sushi?!?! What's that about? Pretty much means that you aren't going to get "real" shrimp nor crab... They do have the "substitutes" and I honestly DO NOT get imitation crab nor shrimp... Just as I, for sure, do not get Turkey Bacon (and I know pork ain't Kosher either). Trust me, the imitation stuff DOES NOT taste ANYTHING like nor has the mouth feel of the original... And what the substitute protein has to go through, to resemble the faked product... I wouldn't bother with having the substitute/ imitation. That being said... I appreciate the effort that this place puts forth and I hope for this place to do well. Came in when it was fairly new and had their Miso Soup (very good) and the Hama Tuna Tower. Good sized portion of tuna paired up with mango, avocado... A bit of spice but nothing that overwhelmed the tuna. It was really good. Staff is very nice and chatty. Figured me for being "not of the tribe" and were asking "why did you decide to come in" and "welcome" and discussed a bit of Kosher law. Thought the place was very cool, welcoming and offering a very solid product. Personally, I wouldn't bother with the faux crab/ shrimp... But i wish this place well and I will be back.

Yelp
Very good sushi. Very fresh! Clean neat chic decor. Place is a bit small on inside so be prepared to eat at sushi bar. Staff was super attentive and friendly . Huge sushi selection. Lots of speciality rolls. On par with shallots sushi at way better price. Have eaten their sushi 3 times always good and fresh!!!
