Hamachi Thai and Sushi Restaurant

Ordered take out from here. How have I lived down the street for 6 years and never knew this place was here?! Usually food isn’t as good through take out but the sushi was some of the best I’ve had in years! I’m not kidding, the Hamachi Special Roll was so fresh and the California Tempura roll was amazing! I’ll definitely be paying this place a visit in person.

We have been going to Hamachi (on and off) for many years and decided to sit down for an early dinner. The place is really run down and there was a funny smell when we walked in that worried me a bit, but nonetheless we sat down. Table was clean, food was fresh, although my iced tea also had a bit of a funny taste. All in all, the atmospheric gave me pause. It needs a spruce up. I see that they no longer have the sushi/raw bar where people used to sit. It’s dark and honestly dirty looking. I’m all about supporting local businesses, and I would like to see improvements to their restaurant to be able to dine comfortably.

Too many places now serve sushi with a glob of rice with a small piece of fish. And the rice is never real sushi rice. I like my sushi with rice that compliments the fish. It’s as if this place knew what I liked. Can’t think of the last time I had perfect sushi rice. Excellent cuts of sashimi and the tuna tataki was topped with roe. I mean, damn. Wait staff was pretty amazing also.The only complaint I have is that I couldn’t make it all last. This place is 35 minutes from where I live and I will now have to travel this way 1-2 times a week.

The food was absolutely delicious! We did a little bit of everything (sushi, soup, salad and Thai dinner entrees). Everything was fresh and the flavors were absolutely delicious! I eat alot of sushi and the options for rolls here are truly original. Flavors and mixes I haven't seen anywhere else. The location is a decent size, perfect for a date night or small group. The staff was wonderful, polite, kind and professional which is hard to come by these days. We will be back for more!

Delicious, well-priced, and high quality. There’s a lot to choose from, whether you’re looking for sushi or Thai dishes. You can get a lot of bang for your buck here, with combos or a la carte options that are seriously tasty. Really great for takeout too!

The food here is authentic and fresh made not to mention the good prices. They are very friendly and never rush the customers.

Had to update previous review, the food used to be awesome but seems like good things doesn’t last long. Last 2 times visited food quality and taste degraded, pad thai was bland no sauce. Chicken and shrimp fried rice, the shrimp was too hard and chewy, not good at all. Customer service is also real bad, asked for salt and the server couldn’t understand after multiple attempts. Then asked me to write in her mobile and then realized what it is. Instead of being nice she started arguing with me with the pronunciation that I didn’t say it properly, I don’t know how bad a person can say Salt so that other person can’t understand, I was so frustrated I thought I’ll just come out of the restaurant but then I kept my cool. It was customer service at its worse. Very sorry to see such a good restaurant going down in the wrong direction. Not recommended and never going back again.

Holy cow the flavors and freshness from this place is unreal and I ordered delivery. I can’t wait to dine in!! I have dined in two times now, once for dinner and once for lunch. The service is excellent and food is delicious every time.

I only did order out, but while I was waiting I observed the server and she seemed very nice. The sushi chef and other chef worked fast and efficiently. They have an area dedicated to take out orders. There are only a few tables inside. Everyone looked to be having a great time and were all pleasant on the way out. Our food was good. The pad thai was very good, the tom kha soup tasty but nothing in it vegetables wise.

I came here with a girlfriend as my treat -- as the restaurant wasn't too far from her house. It was her birthday, and she was craving Thai food. There's limited parking in the strip right in front of the restaurant. Inside, the decor is fairly basic. They had quite a few lunch specials at very, very reasonable prices. My friend had the pad thai with tofu. I ordered the shrimp with cashews. Both lunch specials came with a choice of soup or salad. We both had the salad which was a small bowl of crisp iceberg lettuce topped with ginger dressing -- that was just okay. Each of our lunches came with a mound of white rice, The food was okay -- good, but nothing out of the ordinary. When I asked about dessert choices, I was told they had none. We were both disappointed. It's not really a birthday celebration without dessert. I'd say if you're looking for a decent meal for lunch at a quite inexpensive price, then this might be a place for you to try. But based on the high ratings, I was a bit disappointed.

Usually order lunch for to go, but last night we came for dine in and the food was excellent, this is a family owned restaurant and they are very kind. If you are looking for Thai-fusion rolls, this is the right place. The flavors are tasty and not overwhelming , very balanced, the presentation is very clean and the service is amazing. I highly recommend.

First time ordering from here and saw they had pretty good reviews AND pics. Most are old reviews nothing recent but still tried. Ordered J.B rolls, chicken pad Thai w/ salad on side, and a Thai tea. The J.B rolls were very fresh and very good. I had it with the eel sauce and spicy mayo (extra charge). The pad Thai smelled weird and tasted even weirder. Smelled like sewer water but tasted like spoiled chicken that they tried to clean and then served it. I took a small taste and threw the entire thing in the garbage. YUCK. The Thai tea was the same as it taste like they used sewer water. I thru that down the sink. The most I please taste ever. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED. Won't be returning

In the little strip mall, there exists the Hamachi Thai and Sushi restaurant. Server was very efficient, took our order and while we were debating on another item, they took another order. Inside was a bunch of seating, definitely a nice place in that perspective. A couple other people we knew were even eating dinner there at the same time. We ordered a beef pad see ew to go, which included a miso soup. While it came out faster than the 15 minutes they stated, the portion size was pathetic, I've had bigger kid's meals at other restaurants. It didn't even fill my kid, and I attach a picture. The beef was tough, not soft and savory like at other Thai places I've eaten at in the past. The pad see ew soy sauce was about right, egg and Chinese broccoli was fine in ratio. Just a terribly small portion and beef that was either overcooked or too lean which depreciated from the meal.

Salmon belly is so good. Service is consistent and both their Thai and sushi are delicious

WTH????!!!!! Not a hair in my soup!!!! Yes it happened yuck... First time here...won't be back, not only did I get the bonus hair, the food was not good....

GASS 10$ basically during lunch I got a roll a soup and another roll for dirt cheap. AND IT WAS GASSSIDY. So much love and effort put into it. It was so filling the lunch special . Olympics was on so good vibes Service mans was chill nice had to give him that tip.(Pause)

Delicious sushi and Thai food! They have some of the most unique appetizers and rolls I've seen and they are a must have for when I introduce new people to this place. Give the yummy tuna a shot; it's shashimi tuna wrapped around imitation crab meat with a wasabi sauce poured over it. Looks very different and taste great. My all time favorite roll is nop Loc but you have to love spicy. It has birds eye chili on top giving the roll a good amount of heat. Staff is very friendly and they always do their best to accommodate request we ask like making customs rolls for kids that are picky eaters. The restaurant is on the smaller side with only about 10 tables inside so it's good to come early because there is normally a wait. Parking lot isn't the biggest but have never had problems finding parking.

Tried Hamachi for takeout the other night. We ordered basil duck and pad thai. Its convenient that you can pay and order online, but we found the food descriptions lacking detail. The food was ready quickly, and the entrees came with a side salad. The duck dish was enjoyed but it was a surprise that the meat would be fried/crispy. Two orders of pad thai (one medium and the other very spicy) we're equally good, but even the medium was so spicy my youngest drank an entire 16 oz bottle of water while eating. The flavor of the pad thai was full, but since I usually order pad see ew, I was disappointed by the lack of vegetables. I'll try this spot again, but I'm still on the fence on whether this will become a regular spot.

Hamachi is one of my family's go-to local spots in Coral Springs! Service is great and food is yummy without breaking the bank. We go so often, that even the waiter knew my family's usual orders and special requests. We ordered the spicy conch & octopus, hamachi kama, lobster bomb roll, rainbow roll, salmon skin roll, and black spider roll. Everything came out quickly and tasted fantastic. I will be visiting again in the near future.

Super decent place to get Thai food and sushi. Especially with the lunch deals. I got the super lunch special with the tuna roll and Shiki roll and it was so good. I was worried that it might not be filling but the serving sizes were decent and I definitely was full after. The miso soup was also really yummy. The Thai tea was also really good. It runs on the sweeter side but that's my preference. The sashimi is also super fresh and tender. And the Pad Thai is great. I do wish the pad thai serving sizes were a little bigger, but with the lunch special deals, you can't really complain. Overall, I also really like how there are so many different options on the menu. And the service was pretty good as well. Everything here, while not blow your mind crazy delicious, is still good and will make for a decent meal.

We were there last night the food was terrible the shrimp with fried wonton was dried. The miso soup had no flavor and the pad Thai noodle was skimpy serious guys bean sprouts and peanut are cheap. And the fried rice was terrible. Whoever cooked this food has no soul and you can taste it through the food and presentation. This is the most low budget restaurant I have ever seen. Nothing wrong with low budget if the food is good but it not. Will never go back there again.

I have to say this is one of the decent sushi restaurants in Coral Springs. I enjoyed the Sushi-Sashimi dinner: 5 pcs sushi, 9 pcs sashimi, Spicy tuna Roll dinner. The thickness of the sashimi is cut not too thin. It's fresh and satisfying. We also ordered Panang Curry - Medium Spice Curry with bell peppers, string beans, ground peanuts with beef. Rich and favorable curry. The shrimp tempura is a little bit weak, The panko breading is not as crunchy. Good selections on menu.

This is based solely on the greeting and horrible smell upon entering. My family and I stopped by for dinner, the greeting wasn't very warm or pleasant - but there was an awful chemically/sewage stench filling the air space - it was so bad we left no sooner than we sat down. Previous reviews seemed great and perhaps the food is good, but we're saddened by the atmosphere and could not enjoy time or order a meal here.

I order from here often and always enjoy my food. I literally craved the Pad Thai all week and things just kept happening so wasn't able to get it. Today (Saturday), I was determined to get it. I went online at 1:30 and realized they didn't open until 5pm. My husband told me to order from anywhere else and he'd go pick it up no matter where it was. I said nope, because I can taste it from Hamachi and if I go elsewhere it probably won't be what I want. I finally put my order in at 6:30 and my husband picked it up. He got home and I opened the box and the smell was very strange. I then mixed it up and took a bite and the taste was the same. Like a chemical taste almost. I can't put my finger on what it is was but, not what I'm used to. I called and spoke to someone and I asked if they have changed the recipe because it's not the same thing. She told me it's the same recipe and chef for ten+ years and I said ok, it's just not tasting good and wondering what's wrong. She basically said ok, have a good night and hung up. It sucks when you really want something and pay for it and throw it away. Waste of money!

I got this place from delivery and it was not to shabby. The food was good quality and beautiful. The only real critique is that the portion sizes vs. price is a huge deal breaker. There are other great local sushi and Thai joints in the area that just give you more bang for your buck. Perhaps maybe the to go orders are smaller vs. eating in-store?

I love me some Thai food and good sushi. Close to the house. Always clean. Took orders are always going and mostly there's not a lot of people sitting inside.

Great tiny restaurant for good sushi. Very unique rolls. My go-to order is the Tom Yum Miso Soup and Naklop Special Roll. The Spicy Octopus Salad, Special Yellowtail Appetizer, and Edgar Roll are also great. The only negative is you will often have a difficult time ordering takeout.

Nice ambiance and very fresh sushi. They are open here in the area for so long and they are handle stuff very well. The staff very friendly and helpful. Definitely will be back soon

Food was definitely not up to par. It was a pick up order but I had to guess where my order was for pick up. It was the worst calamari I've ever eaten and the spider roll tasted awful.

Very nice but very high priced. Get your wallet ready. My wife and I with no drinks $160 We used to go frequently but it has gotten too expensive.

My friends and I ordered here today for lunch and ordered it to be takeout. I ordered the shrimp in garlic sauce, one ordered chicken in red curry sauce and the other ordered I believe chicken and broccoli. All of us ordered the lunch portion which came with salad and rice. Everything smelled amazing only to get disappointed when two of us opened our containers to find that we weren't served much food. Maybe a good 4 shrimps for me and some veggies and my friend the same thing 4 pieces of chicken and veggies. Food is really overpriced for literally NO FOOD! I don't eat rice but added it to get my full, and I shouldn't have to be doing that. I don't think I will be returning back here again, will be taking myself someplace else where the food portion is a lot more for the price to match

Good to be back at Hamachi after about a year away. The sushi bar is still closed and used as a takeout staging area. Food is still solid as usual, but I have to say, you lose something of the experience without the sushi bar. It's not expected to open again, ever, according to staff. Ordered: Mushroom Lover: essentially a deep-fried mushroom stuffed with gyoza filling. Good, but I wasn't expecting a deep-fried app. Yummy Tuna: excellent as usual Hamachi jalapeno: excellent as usual Black spider roll: Rachel ordered this, had eel on top, deep-fried soft shell crab in the center.

Decent sushi place. We ordered the jalapeño bomb, TGIF roll, the forever roll and a green tea. We also tried to get the coconut shrimp but they were out. The rolls were pretty good, decently filling. The waiter even brought out extra wasabi without us asking when my friend questioned to me if it was enough. I'd like to go back and try more of their menu. Only thing that wasn't too pleasant was a very strong what I thought was fish sauce smell coming from the kitchen when they prepared one dish but it did pass eventually and luckily before our sushi came.

I've eaten here a few times and the food is great. I usually order take out since it's close to my job. I usually get the tofu red curry for lunch which comes with a salad or choice of soup. The food is always super hot and steamy and to top that the spice level is hot.

I've been to Hamachi a few times and I've always ordered the Thai food and found it to be good. In the past I've had Pad See Ew and my mother has had the salmon teriyaki. I went by last night to get a takeout order of pad thai with shrimp and chicken cashew. The dinners come with miso soup and salad which is very nice. The soup was very tasty and the salad comes with a good Ginger sauce. I began eating my pad thai and noticed that the bottom of the styrofoam container was soaked with a lot of oil . Even on my china plate there was tons of oil pooling on it. I was rather disappointed as Pad Thai typically is not a very oily dish. I choose Thai food over Chinese because they tend to use less oil and I prefer the flavors. Not sure that I will go back there due to this most recent disappointing experience.

Hamachi Thai is such a solid option in coral springs for sushi AND thai food that I almost always visit here once while i'm in town. Thai- Pad thai, pad see ew, and thai basil is always good. I can also recommend most of their curries. Sushi- All their specialty rolls are great, and huge. The lunch deals on sushi give you so much. I can comfortably say this is my favorite thai place in coral springs. I've had so many things on their menu and it's all been delicious.

As a retired executive chef I try to eat at family owner restaurants I'm impressed by how clean the dining room is. Food is excellent and generous portions at extremely excellent prices

Over a year later and countless check-ins later... I find myself here for Kol Nidre... with Tim making the perfect Jordan Roll for me... what is a Jordan Roll?! It's a roll with absolutely no rice, wrapped in nori (seaweed) with ikura on top...on the inside?! A hearty portion of kampyo, shiso leaf, and massago, with jalapeño, cilantro, avocado, and daikon to accompany all the tastes.. it is served best with togarashi... I prefer to mix my namani & shichimi together... Not to mention, his uni is ALMOST like eating it live in Santa Barbara and between Jack, Am, and Tim the comrade is perfect. Seriously- there is no better sushi restaurant that ai know of west of 95... js.

Food was amazing! My fiancé really enjoyed the pad Thai and I got the TGIF roll which was everything I was expecting. The service was quick considering the amount of take out orders that were coming in.

Great place! The restaurant has a nice setting when it comes to lighting and music. The customer service is outstanding. Very welcoming and definitely makes the experience better. The food was great! Very filling and very satisfying. I got the sushi, sashimi, and sonomono lunch combo. It comes with a soup and a salad. Fish was fresh. Only thing off was the sushi rice for the sushi was a bit loose. Overall, great place, better service, and good food. Do recommend!

This is a great Thai and sushi restaurant that we dined at recently. The inside seating is limited but service is fast. It's a cute little restaurant. We ordered Thai iced tea, sexy roll, baked lobster roll and red curry. Everything tasted fresh and good. I particularly loved the sexy roll, the cool thing about it is that there's no rice on it. It comes wrapped with cucumber and tasted delicious! It was the first time I tried this roll and loved it. Take a look at the pic attached. As for the baked lobster roll, I didn't care for it much. It's your regular California roll with baked lobster on top. The red curry with tofu was pretty good too. Sushi is worth trying! Overall I recommend this restaurant!

Hamachi is not fancy nice dining room The food is terrific great presentation Have to try the Ty tea. Sweet and delicious Love all their rolls. Especially the rainbow roll So I recommend this restaurant. Absolutely' Can order though Uber eats. Right next to Wongs on sample road

Ordered the veggie pad Thai and chicken drunken noodles. Both were fantastic! Loved that you could adjust your spice level online.

I was talking to a lawyer after a property closing, and he was raving about this and a Indian restaurant not too far that had great butter chicken, and they said I had to check out this sushi spot. Well, I did check it out, and neither I nor my family was impressed. I had better sushi from Freshmarket and Publix. I don't even like their sushi, but its my way of comparing the taste. I believe the fish is low-grade tuna. Low-grade mayo to make the spicy mayo it just tasted like an off brand. They don't have a kids' menu, and the pad Thai is okay, not worth it. However, the fried rice and filter water is the best. Listen, at least I had a good server to soften the disappointment, but it's a small inside it's not a place for a big group. They only have 2 tables that can accommodate a big group. I won't be back unless it's for fried rice water.

My family loves this local sushi restaurant. We always get the tuna biscuits and the sunset roll. The roll is wrapped in an egg crepe and it's so buttery and yummy. Their pad Thai is also amazing.

My family and I have frequented this place for many years now. With so many Thai/Japanese places these days, they can all taste kind of the same. But we really like this place a lot when we are in the Coral Springs area. Their sushi and rolls are very fresh, and their Thai food is legit. We also like that it's a quaint place where the employees really get to know their customers. Recently we went for their lunch take-out since they haven't yet opened back up for dine-in due to covid. Their rolls are so yum. And their sushi/sashimi lunch special had so much food! Definitely worth it. Some of the favorites we love there are the spicy conch salad, American Dream roll, Forever roll, salmon skin hand roll, and their Thai pad se yew to really name a few.

Great food and cheap for the quality. I always order the grilled salmon belly, yummy tuna and uni. If you aren't into sushi the chicken wonton soup and pad Thai are good option.

Not the best, but not the worst that we've had in regards to sushi. Service was ok. Ambiance was decent.

My family and I were once again not feeling in the mood to cook tonight, and decided to take out with the Hamachi Thai & Sushi Restaurant. Looking online, I figured this place would have good food given the reviews online. We ordered a rainbow roll, dragon roll, and chicken pad thai which came out to around $39. Moving onward with tonight's meal, I was honestly very disappointed. The sushi we received was edible, but felt lacked any freshness. In addition, the pad thai was greasy, did not possess a solid sauce, and tasted completely bland. I guess we will be returning to our usual sushi spot Jasmine.

Definitely the best sushi in Coral Springs for the price! Always tastes so fresh and the lunch special is a great deal.
