Came alone at around 7.45pm on a Wednesday two weeks ago and was thankful to get a counter seat. Was great to sit and engage the chef and staff to see the behind the scenes cooking your food.
Ordered:
- scallop sashimi (fresh as expected)
- omelette (really fluffy, goes well with the soy sauce and radish combo),
- cold soba with seasonal tempura and
- finished off with soba tea dessert (this was a pleasant surprise to me).
Service was great and the chef was really kind to explain the food in English, and when I asked about the Hiyqamugi noodle (like a thinner udon) after my meal, he took it out of the fridge and showed it to me.
He also gave me another 2 pieces of tempura which were of the fresh fish they had in the tank wrapped in leaf (not sure if it was part of the set).
They have an English menu and I managed to get by and got some recommendations from the staff on what to order.
Would definitely be back next time, and will try the Hiyqamugi noodle.
