Hamburger Habit is one of the cleanest restaurants I’ve ever been to. From the moment I walked in, everything looked spotless and well-organized, which made the dining experience even more enjoyable. The food is high quality, incredibly fresh, and the taste is amazing. I ordered a classic burger with fries, and it was easily one of the freshest and most flavorful burgers I’ve had in LA—perfectly cooked, juicy, and packed with taste. The fries were crispy and hot, just how I like them. The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed, making it a great place to enjoy a casual meal. The staff was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care about the customer experience. The service was a perfect 10/10. I would absolutely visit again and recommend Hamburger Habit to anyone looking for a clean spot with delicious food and excellent service.

I would pass by this place on my way to McDonald’s and finally decided to try it out Before I tried it out, I did read a lot of reviews and I do agree with a lot of the other reviews. The food is OK but It’s not good enough to try for a second time I would give the burger, 6/10 Nothing special just a basic burger. The bread was a little dry. The fries 8/10 was what I expected very basic, but we’re cooked very well The pickle -0000/10 personally found very disgusting taste like it had been sitting in seasoning-salt Don’t know the brine they used to soak the pickles, but it’s nasty.. The customer service is amazing But sadly, I won’t be returning. My order was almost $17 and for that price I can go elsewhere and get much better tasting food.

Hamburger Habit is awesome, reminded me of the 50's a lot with their setting. Love the food there from hamburgers, fries, milk shakes, etc. The employees are very friendly/helpful. Hard workers they are, gave me suggestions on what to try. Also they give me an opportunity to design my own hamburger which was really fun and appreciate my picture and also saw other customers pictures in the restaurant. :)

Stopped in for my first time for dinner Friday night because I’ve driven by this place many times and I’ve seen the “best burger in LA” claim and I know they’ve been open since 1968 so I figured I had to give it a try. I would not say it’s the best burger in LA, not even close, but it’s still really good overall. I really like the ambience inside, it’s just like a 50s diner, but this place is more designed for to go meals instead of a sit down restaurant with service. They have a fairly limited menu, but it has all the classics on it. Service is really fast and I will say the pricing is very fair which was probably my favorite part. It’s located in a small strip mall with a free parking lot attached out front. It took a bit for me to decide what I wanted to order because there were so many things on the menu that I like. I had to try their fresh squeezed Orange Juice to start and I’m very happy that I chose it because it was delicious as expected. For my meal, I ordered the Sassy Cheese and the Hot One. The sassy cheese is just like a regular cheeseburger, very similar in taste to Burger King. It was good, but I think the patty is a bit too thin. The hot one is a hotdog with chili on top and I thought it was pretty good but the chili was a bit bland. Overall, a good takeout option and worth trying if you are in the area.

Whenever I exit the freeway, waiting for the traffic lights to turn green, I would see this restaurant promoting their burgers as the “#1 burger in town 🍔”. Well, I had been wondering 🤔 for 4 years if that was indeed the case here. We finally gave it a try and decided not to come back, ever again ❌. Although, I have to say, the place looked clean and the customer service here was great! Food: - The Sassy Cheese 🍔 (8/10): The burger was actually pretty good. I liked the patty (not too salty), meat was juicy, lettuce tasted fresh, and the bun was puffy and mildly chewy. The only issue I had was the price. - The Chili Fries 🍟 (3/10): oh, good Lord, this was horrible. The fries weren't anything to write home about. tasted pretty dull and that chili gravy on top made it worse! Does anyone actually find the photo that I took of the chili fries appetizing? I'm not going to say it, use your imagination. Nevertheless, I think everyone's taste buds are different. You might like it. However, if you are already a fan of in-n-out, then this place won't impress you. One sentence to summarize this burger restaurant? Average tasting and overpriced.

Wonderful meal and affordable considering the area- two burgers, two drinks, and large fries for less than $35! The veggie patty is delicious and can be subbed in for any burger, the fries were perfect, and free refills on drinks, plus free candy and hot peppers. Quick service, friendly staff- so happy to have them around. : )

Unique atmosphere,it takes you back to the 50s . The owner makes you feel like family. You want to take your camera.

Didn't have cash for the taco stands in the area and Baja buds was no longer open, so I found myself randomly walking in here I was immediately taken back by how cool the interior is. It feels like you're stepping into another time. The prices are OK maybe not the best but it does align with the quality of the food I got the number three as I was told it's the most popular option and it really felt like cooking. It felt like proper ingredients. I could taste the salt in the patty. I could taste the butter in the bun. It was a really quality burger. I wish I would've added a patty instead of adding avocado just because I wanted more protein. I didn't add any fries because the fries only come in one size and they were kind of pricey and I'm honestly not the biggest fan of french fries I previously paid five dollars for a can of Coke today, so it was nice paying only a few dollars for a refillable fountain drink The gentleman working were very kind and the ambience was very calm so I really did enjoy the vibe Not to mention there is a parking lot here. I've never seen it very busy, but it seems like there is a lower and significance to this restaurant. I think I would recommend it for anyone that really loves quality hamburgers They also have hotdog dogs and some sandwich options, but I'm not the biggest fan of bread so I went with the classic Really enjoyed my pickle spear

I would say, because it is so close to my house, if I don't feel like going somewhere but I want a burger or a hotdog, I'd call in a pick up order. So, I will and have eaten from there a couple of times. It's just not the best food, if that makes sense. BUT the chocolate milkshakes are 10 stars! I don't even really like chocolate all that much, or at least it isn't my first choice. But I shared one of the chocolate shakes with my hub and thought I was going to die from happy taste buds. The customer service here is great though. They are nice and that goes a long way with me being a return customer.

Let's first start with the positives...the staff were super friendly and welcoming. Also the restaurant is very cute with vintage decor and very clean. The chili cheese fries were pretty good too. Now the bad...just got home, opened up my "Lean and Mean" steak sandwich only to find one small piece of overcooked meat. It was almost less than half the size of the bread (see picture). For the cost, this is unacceptable. My partner also got the "Sassy" cheese burger and it was pretty flat and bland tasting. Basically if you like bread and lettuce sandwiches, this place is for you. Aside from that, keep the expectations low or pay for extra meat.

I ordered the number three hamburger with grilled onions and a small order of french fries. I have always gotten a great burger and meal from hamburger habit give it a try. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Pretty cool spot love the oldies diner vibe, very nice staff and customer service, food was pretty yummy, not fancy but like a legit old school diner burger vibe, had that home cooked vibe too - I got cheeseburger and chili cheese fries - was a little pricey but good Their shake was tasty

Was craving chili cheese fries so found this spot not far from home. When walking in it's a nice little burger joint really old school vibe and really awesome workers and good food. I got a burger and chili cheese fries which were good not the best but they hit the spot. What I truly like about this spot is that it is decorated with many colored pictures done by kids and just the people there to enjoy a meal I was fortunate enough to have our colored pictures put on the wall. The employee said that all the you g generations don't like to color anymore since they're so entertained on phones or iPads that they miss out on the fun so he tries to encourage the older generations to continue to have fun. Definitely a great vibe really like the spot. Will go back for some more coloring sessions and food.

I went here on a Saturday after my Pilates class for a cheat day. It's located on the corner of Sepulveda and National in a small strip mall. This place reminds you of an old 50's diner. Really cute decor. A definite blast to the past. Instead of ordering a burger I decided to get a pastrami sandwich, and was disappointed to say the least. It was small in size, and dry. The meat seemed over cooked or old and did not taste good. The meat on the sandwich was slim to none as It didn't even cover the bread. The worst pastrami I've ever had. The service on the other hand was excellent. I was greeted from the moment I walked in. I was given direction on how to order as well as recommendations since it was my first time. Everyone was friendly and welcoming . Now I am basing this review solely on the pastrami sandwich. It's my fault for going to a burger joint and not getting a burger. I will go back and try a burger.

Charming aesthetic and nostalgic music but the food suuucks. Service was fine. Food just sucks. Stale ass hot dog buns. Just go to a 7-11 with your headphones in playing 50s Malt Shop Melodies and you'll have 1000% higher quality experience.

A true classic, with an ambiance that brings you back to the 50's, the owner truly cares for his business decade after decade. Thats something that has been disappearing all over LA since covid. Like everyone else has said the service here is super friendly and they'll give you options if your lost. The food is always made to order and you really can taste all the individual ingredients and it's honestly really good for a burger joint, but don't sleep on the other items, im a big fan of the patty melt as well as the chili cheese fries.

We just love this Hamburger Habit. There are a few of them, but this one has the best service. The food is so great. Parking is easy in the strip mall lot in which it is located. Once in you order at the counter and you can dine there or do take away. They also deliver. They have great burgers and hot dogs and they make them the way you want them. There is nothing worse in my opinion than a well done hamburger. They make mine just the way I want it. The staff is ever so kind and the place is always spotless. Have fun.

I had #5 hot dog with mustard and relish. The hot dog was a bit tiny but very tasty. Bun was great. Highly recommend the fries. I wish I could have tried the burger as they are known for there burgers. Bathroom very clean. Parking decent and is clean. Eating area is clean. Close to freeway. Highly recommend this place staff very friendly and polite 5 stars.

I dont see what could have been done unless the price was lowered and the food was made better. From the looks of it thats just what you guys offer and what im saying is its not worth the price. Small burger with fries and a drink for over $20. No thanks

This is a good hamburger habit place here. One of my best friends live in this area, and we stop here for burgers quite often when hanging out. I get the big double burger with cheese and all. Forget the name of it. Nit ot is delicious. Good community place to hang out at. Nice staff and cool people here.

Highly recommend! I should have left this review years ago ! We all adore this place for its retro vibe and great food . The fries are great not greasy ! Good prep very clean the customer can view the cooking which is great ! Always consistently great . Frank the owner has now been considered family as he knows his patrons as well as us and this dine in or take out is always a wonderful experience. See you soon !

I will preface this by saying, the only other time i've wrote a review was for a moving company that scammed me. i redownloaded my yelp app to do this review. that's how bummed I am right now. now for the review: to sum it in. 3 words...so incredibly disappointed. my boyfriend and I have been driving by this restaurant for years and we finally went today. we approach an attractive restaurant, all seems well. vibe is good. we order the food. I get the naked truth, my boyfriend gets the big scene, we share a large fries, and get a root beer float. we spent $34 on this. kinda pricy, but we are still feeling excited so we're feeling good about it. we get the food... my boyfriend and I look at each other like we've just been punk'd. the large fry was not in our minds large at all. my burger was inside a burnt bun, frail, and shriveling. my boyfriend's bun was also burnt on the top. his pickle was rotten. I didn't even want to touch my pickle after seeing his. we are not even half full. we are going to in-n-out to redeem our stomachs pain. confusion more than anything. how has this place been open since 1968? after coming here one time, we will never come back again. I can't even imagine anyone else coming back for a second visit after having an experience like ours. I feel ripped off, confused, and disappointed. save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. see attached photos. look at the "large fry" lol. (no fries were eaten before this photo was taken)

It has been a long time since I have been to this burger stop. The decor is the same but the prices have gone up and the quality down. The place was empty and for good reason. I really wanted to recapture the good times and the good food I have had in the past but those days are gone. I hope they can turn around this place because it used to be good. The service was average. The burger was flavorless and the fries were a very small portion and not very good. Seems like they are cutting corners and sacrificing quality.

I cannot believe you guys. The burger is far too poor and expensive. A much better and tastier deal is available at In n Out. The guys are friendly, yes they are, but I also came to get the best burger in town and it is far from it. You actually get nothing for $10, not even the fries are included. I think they ride the Kabc Radio gravy train, Burger tomato and lettuce, I requested fried onions otherwise it would have been just that. Gimme a break. There is no way I would ever go back there again, In n Out is not far and guaranteed every time for less money. Its an insult to burgers.

Great food- best fast food hamburger I have ever had. The 50's vibe provided great ambiance and the service was fantastic. The owner talked to everyone who came in and often the patrons knew him by name. I dropped by for connivence today but I would make an effort to come here again.

Ordered the turkey burger which was good. I got cheese fries which was also good. The ice tea tasted weird which is usually good. Overall good food good experience.

I just went in and asked a very nice employee of 20 years experience at this current restaurant how long they have been established and he replied over 30 years. After this conversation I got very intrigued to try their food. The pastrami sandwich had barely any meat and was all bread not even a 1/4 inch of meat. Meat was like a spread and mustard and pickles was the protein . Super disappointing as I paid $11+ for this very unsatisfying sandwich. Plz give your customers what they paid for and don't lack protein. I know it's hamburger habit in the name but your burgers are lacking meat also. Quite frankly wondering how they've been open so many years... in n out is way better and cheaper... maybe cuz there's not one close bye they made it this far.

I try to support smaller mom and pop shops and thought I would try this place. The hot one hot dog- very disappointing don't waste your money. I ordered by Postmates. For the price just go to a known good burger place. The burger bread was soggy. The burgers don't get cheddar they only serve with Swiss I think. Just don't.

This place is a hidden gem off the 405 freeway. It feels like you go back in time to a hamburger diner. The owner is beyond friendly and polite. I ordered for my boyfriend, and because my boyfriend took a long time to get here, he said he would switch out the fries for fresher ones. I will definitely be back again!!!!

This place is a classic and a definite must try. The service was amazing because I came literally 5 minutes before they closed and they still served me, even though I was like no it's ok you can close because I didn't know that they were closing so I felt bad. The cashier insisted so I ordered. I have only had the hot dog and chili dog. I have been looking for a place with a good dog with that snap casing New York style and they have it here. The chili dog was amazing I must say from the bread to the onions everything was fresh and wonderful. This place is spotless also super clean and old school. I love it thanks for the good food and great service.

If the meal was like four or five dollars, I would let it slide. It's a double the price of my normal spot. It doesn't seem like too much effort was put into the menu. I suggest skipping this restaurant.

Went there after many years. So very disappointed. Burger was tasteless and they didn't even add the tomato. Too costly for a terrible burger.

The diner was nice, but the food was dry, the bun was crunchy and cut the inside of my mouth, and the beef tasted like they cooked it 10 days ago, everyhting was so dry i felt like i was eating a desert! do not eat here the staff was so rude when i asked for some ketchup, they told me in a very sarcastic voice, and when i asked for the burger i said no pickles and they added pickles, i hate pickles, this is a terrible place to eat, the staff was so rude, i would come here again!!!

So I decided to try this place out just because it looks like a mom and pops restaurant but for the price that you pay for a cheeseburger here I can probably get a combo at In-N-Out for the same price. You literally get one cheeseburger no fries and no drink For $11 after taxes I find it to be wild that I'm paying over $14 for just a drink and a burger with no fries. The burger was OK. It was not the best burger in the world would I come here again probably not I think for the price that I paid for the burger and drinks. I should at least get fries with it would I recommend this place to other people probably not just because of the high prices I get that we need to help out and make sure that these restaurants that our mom and pots are thriving but not for that type of prize I can probably get a better burger at In-N-Out with a combo double double for the same price or less.

I go in at 6:30pm, which is empty on a Sunday. Family go out and eat day. Very strange. I don't bother to read the menu because I'm only ordering two large fries. 15-20 mins later the fries are done. Made hot to order. The polite cashier told me the price and it was 14$ and change! I felt like I was robbed. I mean this is America. At most this should be is $7-9.00. This establishment won't be opened for many more years to come and it is obvious why the place was empty at dinner time on a weekend. Their fries were good but getting a bag of fries from Aldi for under $2.50 felt like a win.

This is the worst hamburger joint I've even been too. The chili fries "with cheese" had no cheese, very greasy, scant amount of chili, undercooked fries. The "plain" hamburger was ordered just that, plain. But as you can see the look and the taste were yuck; dry and rubbery The pastrami for about $9 plus had such a small amount of meat that was dried, overcooked and even with burnt edges. For that cost I should have gone somewhere else. How could this be "the best in LA" as advertised?

Tasteless, cheap quality, minuscule portions, misleading signage and will never come back. We drove in because of their Voted #1 in LA signage, where it should be worst burger in LA.

What a thorough disappointment. While the employees are friendly, and the dining area was clean,unfortunately the food and pricing does not live up to the so called hype. $6 for a puny side of fries. The two cheeseburgers we ordered were papear thin. Lackluster. Astounded that this place was rated best burger in LA by KABC. Not sure what they had but can assure you this does not even come close to a top 25.

I went out to this unqualified establishment at 10pm or so and I just got a burger and fries, it was like 20 bucks and they were so effing small, like it was a half a size of fries, maybe like 20 in the basket, and the burger was the maybe twice the size of a white castle cheese burger, didn't taste remotely the same though, i think the cooks just reheated some food they made earlier in the day!PLUS THE BATHROOM LOOKED LIKE IT HADNT BEEN CLEANED SINCE THEY GOT THAT BEST BURGER IN TOWN QUOTE ONCE IN 1977!!!!!! it was really dirty and has super weird vibes!! this food used to be exceptional, i would much rather go to McDonalds 1 STAR!

we came here for lunch while seeing a local tourist attraction. 1 patty melt, 2 the works, 1 tuna melt, 1 archie bonker: everyone said 4 stars solid. in particular, the bread on the burgers was perfectly grilled. I'd have appreciated a bit more chili on the Works burger, but the chili has great flavor. in this area, i really appreciate that they don't charge to refill sodas. i ordered well-done fries, and they were perfectly cooked. we were all pleased that the place is really clean, including the bathroom. the staff is polite and eager to be helpful. good senses of humor.

This place is so cool! I've lived around here for about 1.5 years and finally got around to trying this place out. The owner is so nice and sweet. The fries here are superb! They're crispy and fresh. The burger is so tasty! Really good flavor. I'm going to try the cheddar cheese next time. They give pickles and lollipops with your meal. Also the most popular burger is their #3 which is their sassy cheese and it only costs $7.70. Pretty decently priced for a delicious burger. They have a very New York style service which was really cool to see. The interior is really Ruby's old diner feel. Can't wait to come back! Love the customer service here!!

Hamburger habit is my favorite diner/burger joint on the Westside. Perfect location for a quick bite, perfect atmosphere, bomb food. I suggest getting a burger or sandwich and sharing sides (my favorites are fries, chili, and corn on the cob) if I'm not feeling a burger I love to get the TooMuch fish sandwich. Everything comes with a perfect dill pickle. There's parking on surface and in the back and cute neon signs everywhere. It's kid friendly, ask the cashier for a drawing mat and burger gummies for your little. Always a hit! P.s. their ice is one of a kind and really is my favorite ice. So so weird but it's chopped in neat little balls and really helps with the experience. Reminds me of the diner in A Cinderella Story!

A few weeks ago, I tried this place for the first time. Until recently, I was a frequent customer of next-door Baja Bud's. And I would just pass by Hamburger Habit. Good points: Open late (that is, they close late @ 11 pm) No lines, hardly any wait Sassy Cheeseburger Fries Courteous and skilled staff They are on DoorDash (DashPass). Thank you!
