Google
This place is all around a 5/5. We went there for lunch after visiting sites of D.C. We went at peak lunch hour and only waited about 10-15 minutes for a table. Which was not bad at all. My boyfriend and I both got the California chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. Food was very yummy and the service was great. Only thing that would make it better is a sweet honey dipping sauce for the sweet potato fries. Me personally, I love sweet potato fries with honey. It was nice to see a menu where sides were included with the entree!!! This place is worth a try if you are nearby.

Came in for lunch. Grabbed a burger with tater tots, wings for an appetizer, and hot ham and Swiss cheese sandwich. Hit the spot for what I was looking for. The service was good. They had a good draft beer list.

Google
Went to this place based on the proximity to the Capitol building and the reviews. The fact that it is a Packers bar was a huge plus!! The staff was great! The cheese curds tasted like the were straight from Wisconsin, and the rest of the food was fantastic. The beer selection was great, will definitely be back when I'm in DC next!

Google
We stumbled upon Hamiltons and im so glad we did. The service was excellent. The restraunt was clean. The food was great.

Google
I got the Turkey club w hash browns and the hash browns were delicious, the Turkey club was a bit bland but it tastes great with their jalapeño ranch. Server had the best service I’ve ever had in my life. Also love that they don’t charge you for substituting for vegetarian options.

Google
Such an amazing little bar. Great prices for the area….Like…super great! Very friendly bar tenders and staff. The wings (I had the dry rub) were excellent. Highly recommend this place!!!!

Google
My chicken tenders salad was flavorful! I liked it a lot. Our waiter hasn’t come by much, though, for drinks or with the check. Ambiance is your typical sports bar. The thing that irked me was there was a channel on infomercials playing the whole time.

Google
If you have Mr Murphy as your host, you're going to have a fun time. The food was FANTASTIC. As midwesterners, this bar felt homey and welcoming. Great job tackling the lunch rush, guys!

Yelp
We were at a conference near this restaurant and it was recommended by a local. It's a small business that actually looks closed at the end of the road. Once inside it was really nice full of personality, and there was even a crowd. They had a bar and inside/outside seating, we were seated immediately and given ice cold water. The menu was simple but we saw someone near eating a burger so we chose the burgers me with Swiss cheese and my mom with American cheese, it was served with a sliver of lettuce, onions and tomato. They had mustard and ketchup on the table so we had to ask for mayo. The burger was thick and juicy but no flavor not sure if it's because it was closing time. The food was hot and freshly made. We also got kids meal tenders very hot but she ate it all.
google avatar

Yelp
It's a fun place to watch a game at. It's your typical dive bar. Grab a beer, cider or cocktail and a plate of wings & relaxxxxx. They get your food out QUICK.
google avatar

Yelp
Solid spot for dinner/drinks, especially if you're a packers fan. The cheese curds are AMAZING - I'd come back for those alone, haha. But the side salad and wings were also good. I'd come back!

Yelp
Best atmosphere, service and crab cakes in DC. It's a must whenever we're visiting the area.

Yelp
We walked into Hamiltoms about 3 on 4th of July. The place was pretty full. We got one of the last tables. The bartender was also our server. All the staff was working hard. My boyfriend had the Hamilton burger. It was great. (I may have had a bite of it) it was nice and juicy. I had the French dip. It had a delicious horseradish sauce on it. Dipping in the aujus just made it even tastier. I'm kinda sad I had a salad. The boyfriend had the tots....they were perfectly crisp.

Yelp
Great vibe for lunch. We sat at the bar and had good conversation and even better food while visiting DC for the weekend! Quick service.
google avatar

Yelp
I have frequented Hamilton's the past two years I have been in DC and this is a great place in for a beer, food, and especially the pretzels! Prices are fair and reasonable and the staff is awesome. Scott Hamilton answers email ASAP and runs a great place. I will always come here when I'm DC and recommend it to everyone I know! See you guys again soon from Oklahoma!

Yelp
I got to my hotel at 12pm and my hotel room was not ready yet , so I walked over to get a few. Beers . And watch sports . The place looked out of place as it was across from the Capitol and surrounded by new office buildings . Once inside it had character and Green Bay packers banner . The bartender was busy pouring beer and taking food orders . Great location to start the capitol tour .
google avatar

Yelp
What a fabulous happy hour and just a great local bar to visit. The bar is the place to be but there was plenty of seating available both indoors and out. Our bartender Steve was super nice and attentive. Great conversations with a few locals. Don't miss this place!
google avatar

Yelp
Came here for lunch with a group of friends. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich ($15) which overall tasted good, but the chicken itself was small. Tater tots are amazing and are a must. Service is pretty standard.
google avatar

Jeff G.

Yelp
Bar room and there is more seating elsewhere Better than average pub. My server was definitely on top of everything so the service was excellent. This is the first time I've been here. This being said, the Rodeo burger was VERY good! It exceeded my expectations.
google avatar

Aleshia A.

Yelp
We stopped here to grab a quick bite and cool off from the blazing heat. We were quickly seated by staff which was nice because he also immediately brought over a cup of water. We ordered a couple of beers, the flamethrower burger and a patty melt both with tater tots. The flamethrower had good flavor but was disappointing in that it didn't have standard toppings. No lettuce tomato nothing, just a ton of sliced jalapeños under the burger patty covered with pepper jack cheese. The patty melt was over cooked but still delicious. Tater tots were under seasoned but came out perfectly cooked and you can't beat that. The bar itself is super cute has a good chill vibe to it aside from all the gross Green Bay stuff on the walls :-).

Jessica T.

Yelp
We loved this restaurant! The bar was very nice. There was lots of beautiful woodwork. The service was great. The burgers were great. Overall, it was just what we needed after a day on the mall.
google avatar

Becky J.

Yelp
Shots and Tots do not disappoint! Do yourself a favor and stop in for some relaxation! The wings were dressed to perfection. The tots were crispy and delicious, and the chili was the perfect t amount of heat. This is a repeat stop every time we visit the city!
google avatar

Yelp
Lovely lunch! Small place with fast & friendly service. Several tvs so you can watch the game. Swiss & mushroom burger was good. Blue cheese burger was good - balsamic onions were delicious Cheese curd appetizer was good. Ranch dressing was good. Turkey club was ok - bread seemed stale & dry.
google avatar

Yelp
Perfect gem hidden amongst the business of downtown D.C. Put it in your GPS because it's tucked away if you're not from the area. Menu is straight forward but food was really good and well priced. Full bar with draft beer options. Friendly and chill staff with good local recommendations. Outdoor seating available. Overall great spot if you like a laid back ambience and simple tasty food.

Yelp
I'm always a sucker for a rodeo burger, no matter where it might be offered. When I see it on a menu I already know what I am going to order, even if I still read over the menu. I think I might be getting ahead of myself here, so let me go back a bit. Wanting to not have to walk very far from our hotel we decided to dine as nearby as we could. This spot was the closest thing we had on a Sunday that didn't include having to walk to Union Station. It was a short walk for us and we were lucky that when we showed up there wasn't much going on in here, making for a good time to get some food. When we walked in we were seated and had menus in hand. We then were greeted by our server. At first I thought he was a bit arrogant and off putting, almost like he was annoyed by us showing up. As the night progressed I realized that was just his way of dealing with everything. He loosened up with us and was great to talk to by the end of the night. He also knew his stuff when it came to beer and was able to make suggestions on which would be good based on taste. Back to the food. As I said, I had the Rodeo Burger. Even though there are many of these rodeo burgers out there, each place seems to have their own take on it with barbecue sauce being the common denominator. The burger is topped with cheddar cheese while it sits on a nice spread of barbecue sauce. Then you get a nice serving of onion straws on top of it all. And of course you cannot forget the bacon. The burger was big and you tasted everything the burger had in every bite. You get your choice of side with this. I seem to have been on a tot kick while here. Of course I went with those. They were nice a crispy and hit the spot. This place was great for a bite to eat and I am told by other colleagues a great place to get some work done.

Yelp
Needed to find a place quick and pulled this spot up on Yelp. Never would have seen this place as it is tucked way back in at the back of 2nd. Glad Yelp found it for us. The inside is great but on a November evening with temps in the 70s we opted for the great outdoor seating. We were waited on and received our drinks and food quickly. Wife had the burger with blue cheese, bacon and pickled onions. She loved it. I had the Caesar salad with chicken. Nothing unique about it but everything was fresh and the chicken was tender. Would definitely stop again.

Yelp
Definitely a bar place. I got the French dip and it was awesome. Juicy, flavorful, and done right. The tots were crispy. The server was friendly and came out to invite us in, helped us all the way start to finish. The atmosphere was great for the restaurant.
google avatar

Yelp
Stopped by here to watch the Olympics and have a late lunch. Overall it was just okay. The food was decent; we had wings, cheese curds, and split a grilled chicken sandwich. The cheese curds was the best thing of all three by far. Service was good, the staff worked hard and did a nice job accommodating the patrons wanting ti watch different events on tv.
google avatar

Charlie B.

Yelp
So it was my first time in DC and this was close to our hotel. Food-AMAZING I got the buffalo chicken sandwich and it was awesome. Great cheese curds too! Service- Our waiter was always paying attention and the food came out in a reasonable time. Ambiance- As a chicagoan, the packers stuff was interesting but nonetheless it was great HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Yelp
This place is tucked away off of Constitution Ave NW, on Second St NW. If you're in the area of Capitol Hill and become thirsty, this is a nice little watering hole. The service is good, staff members are kind and attentive. I would describe Hamiltons as a "dive bar" (these are some of my favorite bars), with cold beer and decent finger foods. Next time you're in the area, take a load off, and grab a beer.
google avatar

Patrick S.

Yelp
Theme of the restaurant/bar is nothing Hamilton related. In fact, it's Green Bay Packer themed (odd). Service was slow and food was mediocre.
google avatar

Jim D.

Yelp
Tots were the best! Food choices were good. Food was good. Beer selections were plentiful.
google avatar

Tiffany J.

Yelp
The food was great, and bartenders were awesome! It was empty because they had a water issue and had to close, but we got our order in and received our food before they decided to close. It gives the show Cheers vibes
google avatar

Will M.

Yelp
Tough to find it on a side street but one of the closets sit down places near the national mall. Definitely would consider it a dive bar but the actual bar was surprisingly small. Service took awhile to seat us and take our orders and it didn't look busy. Went with the turkey club which was average but not as good as you would get at a diner. Cheeseburger was good but again not going to knock your socks off.
google avatar

Valerie G.

Yelp
We stopped by here otw to the train station. We did to-go orders. The food came out quickly and was all correct. We didn't eat until about 30 mins after getting it and it was still amazing! The sweet potato fries were one of my faves. Def want to return when I'm back in the area.

Ryan E.

Yelp
By far the best neighborhood bar I have been to in DC. The staff is incredible, great food, and well priced drinks.
google avatar

Katie R.

Yelp
Cozy neighborhood bar with bar food and TVs, exactly as advertised. Pretzel and wings were both delicious.
google avatar

Sarah N.

Yelp
We were seated right away. Staff was super friendly and the food was incredible!! The sweet potato fries are Devine!!

Sean M.

Yelp
Went for drinks. Great service, enjoyed the football banter with the bar tender. Definitely will be going more often.
google avatar

David N.

Yelp
Place was great! All food was great except burger bun was a little stale. Service was really helpful.
google avatar

Andres D.

Yelp
Generic pub food for a decent price in a great location. In basically every way this place is standard: you will get exactly what you expect from a sports bar in terms of price and quality and service. The notable exception is location, since it is quite close to the capitol building and the National mall. That makes it a great choice for a day spent exploring that area.

Rosalie E.

Yelp
Friendly staff and food great. Everyone is warm . I went with my family, group of 4 and we certainly will recommend this establishment.
google avatar

Hope A.

Yelp
I wish I could give this place a better rating, but it was subpar. The employees were nice, and the place was clean enough. There was a covered patio area, and a nice little bar area. I ordered a cocktail, but it felt like I was drinking a weak tasting lemonade. I also got a veggie burger and sweet potato fries. The sweet potato fries were crisp and hot, I enjoyed those. My veggie burger lacked flavor. My friend ordered a regular burger and she also said it was lacking in the flavor department. The location of this place is a little strange, which I kind of liked. It was in an alley way, and you had to search for it a little.

Robin T.

Yelp
Service was slow, they seemed to have forgotten us. Food was not that great, had to hunt for the meat in the wrap. Don't recommend

Jhanine S.

Yelp
The service was fine but the food was horrible. The ambiance is good too. Maybe it was an off day but the food was cold and burger patties tasted like....soap? Would not recommend nor would I go back.
google avatar

Yelp
I understand your establishment is the number one fan base for the GREEN BAY PACKERS. I love football and love hanging at your place during the season when I can. I have a TRULY ONE-OF-A-KIND Washington Redskin football representing the 3 SUPER BOWLS autographed by BILL CURRY. MAX MCGEE, WILLIE WOOD, WILLIE DAVIS, TIM BROWN. Also Steve Perry(then hall of fame president. For good measure autographed by STEVE LARGENT (HOF 95). MINT CONDITION. Best offer if you can help Can send photo. Thank you

Jim T.

Yelp
A great place to eat after visiting the Capitol: about a 10 minute walk. Food is basic American, but quality was great, service was awesome. Atmosphere is a typical pub: casual and friendly. Outdoor seating too.
google avatar

Nikki H.

Yelp
The service was fine. The food ok. It looks like they have a very large selection of beers. I'm sure this is perfect for the beer drinking crowd. We just popped in while attending the Asian Pacific Islander festival. Not sure we would go back but it served the purpose.

Marc C.

Yelp
Overall let down. We popped in for dinner on a week night. A sign at the host table said wait to be seated. A staff member yelled "upstairs upstairs!" at us. There was another bar upstairs. We had to chase down the bartender to take our order. He accidentally spit on my face while he was talking. The food was decent but all the interactions with staff were insulting.
google avatar

Mary M.

Yelp
Friends invited us for dinner. I had the steak salad. Not what I expected. Baby romaine, some sauce underneath lettuce.steak was tender, but not seasoned. My partner had the shrimp and grits. Small shrimp and very watery grits. Lacked flavor. The other guest at our table had a chicken sandwich, which she enjoyed. Her partner had wings...also good. Stroganoff was good , as well as the sushi one of our guests ordered. Massago didn't look fresh , but our guest ate it. We were sitting in a very cramped, long bench. 6 full-size adults in a long table... very, very uncomfortable. Very loud and lots of drunk people. Probably won't return

Yelp
When you've got an itch to play beer pong in an environment eerily similar to your favorite fraternity basement from college, this is your place. Hamilton's opens up their basement on Fridays for beer pong, but when I called to asked if we could play on a Tuesday, Steve happily obliged and let us use the space. He did question if we were really over our college days if we were asking to play beer pong on a Tuesday night. #30 In any case, can't speak for the food - but the people at the bar and behind were great company. Good selection of beers on draft. $20 for 4 Trulys at happy hour. We've gotta go back on a Friday now to really play beer pong with more company.

Vic S.

Yelp
Worst service I have experienced in my entire 60 years! Waiter refused to acknowledge my grandson and his friend sitting behind myself and my daughter even though we told him they were with us. They had to yell as he walked away that they wanted coke. When he finally brought the drinks he put them all on the corner of my table and when my daughter asked him if you could give the boys their glass he said no and left! My daughter walked up to the bar and said if him waiting on us was too much trouble we would leave and he said ok! So we left.

Ericka B.

Yelp
Went here on a Saturday to watch the Badger football game. This is definitely a great place to go to hang out with fellow Badgers!! The fact that there is Leinie's on tap made it that much better. It was an energetic game day atmosphere, but be sure to get there a little early as the top floor filled up pretty quick. There are also game day specials for both the Badgers and the Packers, so if you're missing WI, its the place to be. We got a couple orders of cheesecurds which game with ranch and marinara sauces. I like the idea of having both, but the ranch could have been a little more distinct than the standard thick ranch from the bottle. The cheesecurds were decent, they just seemed to be lacking some flavor. The batter was a little thick, which I was fine with, but some other people in my group didn't like it. Additionally, the batter could have used some other flavor in it, some sort of spice would have made it feel a little more WI. It was kind of nice that they didn't feel greasy however. Props to them for that!

R R.

Yelp
Waited for a table for 2 for 20+ mins. Two adults and a child were seated as soon as they arrived. Clearly needs competent management.
