I ordered several items from Hamle Market, and the experience was terrible. One glass jar arrived broken, and the cheese was already warm and unsafe to eat—I had to throw both away. I emailed customer service, but they completely ignored me. Ordering here feels like gambling—you either get your products intact, or you don’t. Don’t expect any help if something goes wrong. This is not real customer service.

I’m very disappointed with the service and customer care. I placed multiple orders from this market since moving to SoCal. In my most recent order (May 2025), I purchased 3 portions of irmik helvası, but received irmik tatlısı instead—a product that is more than 3x cheaper. I tried contacting customer service, left a voicemail, and never received a response. It’s frustrating to be charged for a product that wasn’t delivered, without any follow-up or reimbursement. I’ve now stopped ordering from this market, even though it was a convenient option for me. I’ve found other stores to be more professional and reliable. Edit: I was surprised by the owner’s response accusing me of never having ordered. I’ve made several purchases here and have receipts to prove it, including the May 2025 order. This is a genuine review based on real experience, and I am more than happy to share documentation if needed.

The only online store I’ve been truly satisfied with is this one. They are solution oriented they might make mistakes, but what matters is that they try to fix them. And they genuinely put in the effort to do so. That’s why I enjoy shopping from here. Please bring plenty of Sera’s mixed pickles.

Great local market! Always clean, well-stocked, and the staff is super friendly. Fresh fruits and vegetables are top quality. Prices are fair too. Highly recommended!

Serious Concerns About Food Quality and Customer Service at Hamle Mediterranean Market! I am deeply disappointed with my recent online order from Hamle Mediterranean Market. The baklava (advertised as air mailed from Turkey) and pistachio cookies (Turkish food) I ordered were not only rotten and expired but had also completely lost their shape, indicating poor storage, shipping and handling. Upon contacting customer support to address the issue, I was met with a response that was dismissive and unprofessional, which only added to my frustration. It's disheartening to see a grocery store not standing by its products, especially when it involves food safety. Additionally, there seems to be a discrepancy between the overwhelmingly positive reviews online and the quality of service and products I received, raising concerns about the authenticity of those reviews. I will be reporting this matter to the Food Safety Authority to ensure that no other customer has to experience what I went through. It's crucial for potential customers to be aware of these issues. I strongly advise exercising caution and considering other local options where quality and customer respect are priorities

I was next door at Ikram Grill enjoying a doner when I stumbled on this place on our way out. I love me a niche market and this is definitely one. They sell all sorts of European snacks and ingredients and frozen food. I was super excited when I saw that they sell Burek in the frozen section. There are a few places in OC that serve it but it’s a far drive for one item. I love that I can buy them frozen and air fry them or bake them in the oven for a quick snack. I can’t wait to try these and the other items from here:)

This place is a hidden gem, located in an unassuming strip center resides this fabulous deli and small grocery store. The imported products are fabulous and a must for any customer looking for difficult items to purchase in the USA. From fine chocolates, cookies, maron glace, assortments of bakalavas, and many more sweets and confections. Coupled with fresh produce, meats and cheeses as well as quality canned goods and boxed sundries and food. A great find!! I will be there often now that I discovered this fabulous place

Came here to find some Turkish groceries and I was not disappointed at all! Fruits and vegetables were fresh.

This place normally is great but I think they are under new ownership and they post that they are open until 8:30 but they close everything early and if you show up at 8:20 they tell you come back tomorrow. Why don't you just change your hours to 8pm the customers know what time to get there!! Bad business practice I will try to find a new location

Hamle is a gem if you set your expectations right. First, it's a small and intimate Middle Eastern grocery market. You'll always get excellent fruits and vegetables here - far better than any supermarket whether Bristol Farms or Whole Foods. Their product slaps and that's because their clientele demands high quality produce. If you're into anything Turkish or Middle Eastern from a market standpoint, they got you covered. Olives, beans, lentils, tons of sweets and chocolates, butters and milks, kefirs, the absolute best Turkish filo doughs, fresh breads baked daily, dates and nuts, dried fruits, and epic Feta cheese in the small deli section. Finally, the prices are beyond reasonable. Quality and great pricing, this is a hidden gem and one of the best markets around.

Small hidden store but carry a lot of great goods and FRESH produce, very helpful produce workers and kind if you have questions about produce& deli. Overall great service all around and items. Give it a visit if you're around fountain valley.

The footprint of this shop is not huge, but wow there must be thousands of different products in this store. They had pretty much everything you need here and then some! Produce, meats, dairy, baked goods, and tons of canned and jarred food items from overseas. and many different dessert gift box like baklava. And much much more. This looks like a great place to build a gift basket for all your friends and family. Our visit here was so brief since we just came in for some milk. I am definitely returning with my fat wallet and going on a shopping spree. Parking is limited so if you can go during non-rush hour.

It is not even one star its a small pricey place and that is not the problem. Basically if you are not Turkish you don't get good service Happened to me more than once I was cut off because Turkish person decided to let others go ahead in the line. I will never shop there again

This is the place for the best prices on produce and best selection of seasonings and ingredients for Arabic, Persian cooking.

Absolutely zero professionalism and honesty. When ever we shop from this store either self price and register price does not match or always extra charge for some random items on our receipt which did not purchase. Double check your receipt before you leave the store

A small market with big selection of Turkish and middle eastern stuff. Fresh bread, biscuits delivered everyday. In same strip mall there is bakery with daily made baklava and shawarma sandwiches. Hamle has big selection of produce. I try to go there every ten days or so. Prices are very reasonable. Only complaint is they have not fixed their Apple pay machine in six months. On weekends parking can be tight especially around lunch time.

Placed online order. Shipping was super fast! When I opened the box, everything was packed so neatly with ice packs etc. On my second order, one of the coffee bags was open then I sent an email and received a prompt response from the customer service stating that they refunded for the damage. How great is that! Highly recommend their online service.

First of all, I have no idea how their store physically is, so mine is for their online store and online orders. I have ordered from them many times. The first couple of ones were okay. After that, they started substituting items without asking me and giving me many expired products. I have talked to the store and wanted them to send me new ones or a refund. I have given them many more chances and kept ordering. It came to a point where they started not answering my phone or calling me back when I left voice messages. I have contacted them through social media to get my missing items. They answered me back saying they would replace it, but my order was never shipped, and my calls were never answered. I didn't want to be an annoying customer and complain too quickly, but I'm all done now. Suppose they don't send my items and refund me what I will do it to complain them to BBB. I hope they bring their shit together. It's so sad.

A small, but fine, Arabic market with good produce and bread. Its by far the best place to get pita bread in the area. The staff is friendly and helpful. And the choices are unique. Lots of things like fresh almonds and salt plums. I will continue to stop by....

I've been coming here for years for produce and middle eastern snacks/products. The store is a little small but I love that I don't have to drive to Anaheim for certain items, and now that they've added Halal meat I'm even more thankful it's close by.

Very bad customer service Representative accused me that I don't understand and implying that I'm not telling the truth about not receiving my order . Their shipping company telling them we refuse the pack but at the same time we are waiting and checking notifications every day I will not buy anything from them anymore These people don't know or have any idea what is customer service , I think they don't know the concept of "customers are always right "

Yay! I'm so excited to have found a middle eastern grocery. The breads, the sweets, the baking, the cheeses, even the fruit and veg here can't be found in your local Ralphs. This is so much better! After living in Sydney AU for a number of years where they have a vibrant Lebanese and Turkish community I missed the ready availability of the food from the middle east. Huntington Beach is not exactly known to be the hub of multiculturalism. lol Finally somewhere where I can get Lebanese bread and Turkish delight the way it's supposed to be.

This market place is a very big disaster to buy stuff from it. I just bought a single pack of carrot and I didn't notice the expiration date of it and I went back home and I ate a single piece and it was tasted so bad and I looked up to the expiration date of it and it was Dec 22, 2019. And I went back to the store again in order to talk to the manager and exchange it with a new pack and I found out that the whole carrot packs are expired too!!!!! If I can give this place a zero rate, I'll do it so immediately...

This is one of the best Turkish market in SoCal there ever is! This store is small but has a ton of stuff ranging from Produce, dairy, meats, baked goods, canned / jarred foods, and much more. I always prefer this store over other International markets like Super King. I will definitely be back when I am in the area!!

A lot stuff has no expiration date because they want to sell it even its expired. I just bought different types of dough and they are all bad. I had to dump it. I did see that many cheese products also have no expiration.

Hamale super market is more pint sized than super. What the super should refer to is the great selection of foods available to you. I'm so glad I found this place and if you like Kalamata olives and a great selection of high quality feta, you should get yourself there too! This is my "GO TO" place when it comes to Greek olives and feta amongst other things. I used to pay ridiculous prices for these items at specialty stores but not anymore. Most of the items here are Turkish in origin but they do carry products from other countries as well. As small as this place is, they sure carry a huge amount of different foods. Get there!

It has almost everything. The fruits and veggies are always so tasty! We prefer over other middle eastern markets, including Super King. We wish they carried some more Egyptian products, but it's ok.

It's a small size middle eastern grocery and goods store. The owners are Turkish. I love the fresh fruits and vegetables. I know I can come here for seasonal fruits. Today I found rare fruits like dragon fruits and they were sweet and delicious! I got loquats they tasted ok. And the peach was amazingly yummy!

Came here on Sunday at 6pm. Horrible customer service by the female cashier! She's so rude! I'm standing at the cash register and she is having a conversation on her cell phone and ignoring me. I tell her excuse me can I pay now. She rolls her eyes at me and gives me a horrible attitude. She then just leaves all the groceries for me to bag myself. Ummm isn't it your job to bag the groceries?! I didnt want to shop anymore after her attitude problem. Never coming here again!

Here wher u can find every thing from the Middle East ther are allot of difrent choocolate that u will not finde it at the another stores i went ther for firest time i was looking for Turkish coffee and i really found it (Noor ) helped me there i would like to say thank u for him again

Every product i wished for. Very fast delivery. Unbelievable packaging. Freezing packs for chocalate wafers. Very thoughtful. Especially Turkish products not selling much around now. It is just perfect for anything.

I decided check this place out after seeing the other reviews on Yelp but to be honest I was disappointed. The employee's seemed to be too busy to wanna be helpful. This is my 1st time to a Turkish and supermarket. I pickeup some odd items am hoping that it lives up to par. When asked about the hummus the shopkeeper next door said that hers is far superior than the ones that this store carries. I like to support small businesses but not sure about coming back here again

This market unfortunately not what it used to be, I used to shop alot in here good quality produce, unfortunately what drove me away is the new workers that works there, they only bring old produce and force you to buy it saying they don't have new produce. The cash register girl has very extensive attitude and not willing to help if you ask her for something. The owner needs to pay close attention to how his workers run the place, definitely lost interest in shopping there i'll drive further to Anaheim to get my produce and quality customer service. What a shame!

This shop is teensy tiny, but they know their way around Turkish grub. Seriously. Their prices aren't quite as cheap as Altayebat Market, but if you're looking for specifically Turkish things like tea biscuits, Turkish tahini, or lentils - this is your place. Service is great, and produce prices are amazing. I will say produce selection is better at some of the other middle eastern markets, still - with the service here and the extreme specialty selection, I'd say this is your joint.

I love this place! While they have a great variety of Middle Eastern products, such as olives and cheeses, I personally was more excited about their fruit and vegetables since my diet consists mostly of fresh produce. I used to shop in Wholefoods because I want to make sure I get the freshest stuff that does not rot away in the fridge and I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the quality of Hamle's products is very close if not the same, while prices are about two times lower. For example, last week I bought a small box of blueberries there for $1.49. Grape tomatoes cost about the same, while even in Ralphs they are about $3. The place is small but they have online delivery service of most packaged goods (not fruit and veggies, alas!) and if you avoid high-traffic hours, such as Friday after 5, you can basically have the shop for yourself. I found that weekend mornings, around 10, is when the shop is almost empty.

What a great Turkish store! large variety of veggies, groceries, so many options, fresh! I order to be delivered monthly! they were great! Even if you need to they deliver personally!! I highly recommend them to Turkish, Mediterranean, middle eastern Customers!

I hate to give this place a bad review but seriously attitude needs to be watched here specially from the taller lady that works behind the register ... This place has great prices great product great everything in my opinion but the employees or specially this person needs to watch her attitude and how she talks back to the customer when they ask a simple question about a product

The best middle eastern grocery store in the area. I usually come to get basturma and feta cheese by the pound. They also have Egyptian Rumi cheese which is difficult to find. Also good place for Sujuk, turkish coffee, turkish/arabic tea, Kaymak, filo pastery, and many frozen pastries.

I love this place. Friendly staff , they are always so helpful. Great selection of Turkish products. I always stop by to shop when I'm in the area!

Nice European market; cheap price quality and unique products I wish it has bigger place

I've been coming here for a few years. Watching them expand. Which is great but today I realized these owners seem bothered with customers. They don't greet you, don't say a word. Just do their work and take your money. No hello. No did you find everything. Would it hurt to smile at me when you take my money? You know I like this place. They have the things I like but I can find these Things in other places-- places where they say hello and ask me if I am doing ok. It matters. With all the competition-- it matters to be kind and offer some kind of customer appreciation. It will be awhile before I go back.

Been driving by this place for years but finally stopped in on my morning walk. Can't believe I've passed this gem of middle eastern stores for this long & never came in considering I love love love Mediterranean food(2 spots next door) small grocery store but good selection of fresh veggies,fruits,herbs..even a cheese & olive stand in back! hummus..Tzatziki too. Sadly no organic or else this would definitely be my go to pit stop for juicing.
