The Best Upstate New York Day Trips From NYC

"Hamlet & Ghost is a buzzy bar where reservations are essential, especially during the race meet, and it's known for cocktails like the Health & Wealth, an earthy blend of olive oil-washed vodka and lemon aperitif with blackberry and pineapple."

The 16 Best Restaurants & Hotels In Saratoga Springs

"A former plumbing supply store isn’t the first place that comes to mind for date night. But this corner plot on Caroline Street has all the makings of a romantic spot: the old brick building feels like a two-room speakeasy hidden in plain sight, with one space where you can watch the busy bar, and another looking into the bustling kitchen. There are plenty of delicious mocktails and cocktails (try the new Unlikely Pear, where blended scotch, grapefruit, bitters, and egg white are mixed to enhance the pear brandy), and the food menu is packed with seasonal dishes and highlights like the farm sourced squash and parsnips, or the autumn staple, cider-battered cheese curds. Go for duck-fat french fries, anything involving heirloom tomatoes, and entrees like the grass-fed burger and the NY strip steak. Something else we love about Hamlet & Ghost: whenever it’s raining, they take $2 off their dark and stormy cocktails, and if it’s snowing, they’ll take $2 off a hot toddy at the bar." - lauren breedlove

I can’t say enough about Hamlet and Ghost and I am not an easy person to impress. The intimate lighting and stylish decor create an inviting space that feels both special and comfortable—perfect for a date night or a celebratory dinner with friends. The drinks were very good. Each cocktail is crafted with precision, utilizing fresh ingredients and innovative combinations. Whether you prefer something classic or are in the mood for a daring concoction, the skilled mixologists here have you covered. Each dish we ordered was not only a feast for the eyes but also an unforgettable experience for the taste buds. The ingredients are clearly sourced with care, and you can taste the quality in every bite. The chefs have managed to master the balance of flavor, texture, and presentation, making each dish a singular entity of culinary artistry. Impeccable service is another hallmark of Hamlet and Ghost. The staff is attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely enthusiastic about the food and drink offerings. In conclusion, Hamlet and Ghost is an extraordinary dining destination that masterfully combines outstanding drinks, unforgettable food, and impeccable service in a memorable atmosphere. The complexity and texture of the dishes will linger in your memory, prompting you to return again and again. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough—if you’re looking to treat yourself to an extraordinary culinary experience, this is the place to be.

Google
Fantastic spot! I have eaten at Hamlet & Ghost twice and both visits were terrific. Both times I elected the chef’s counter to watch the chefs ply their trade. Both times the food lived up to the hype. The burger is the best in Saratoga and perhaps one of my top 3 ever. The salads are fresh and unique. The oysters with tiny apple cubes are original and worthwhile, as is the hamachi. The cocktails are another highlight. The freezer vesper is a definite repeat for me, and fennel martini is unique.

Google
Hamlet and ghost is the medium sized restaurant located in the Saratoga Spring area, serving American style cuisine with occasional daily specials. A reservation is recommended – even on the weekdays- as we managed to snug the last available walking table for four around 6 PM on the weekday. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and the servers overall was solid. The decor is tasteful and clean, with a nice blund between the bar and dining areas. The special of the day was the muscles, which were delicious and generously sauced. The duck fat fries were crispy – so good that you might want to ask for extra mayo on the side for tipping. The smoked duck came in a modest portion, so having extra table bread on hand is a smart move. The ghost burger started off a bit salty on the first bite, but the flavor balanced out nicely as you ate. You could really taste the quality of the fresh, not overly greasy, meat. Overall, the food was spot on and everyone at the table enjoyed their meal. However, a few downsides: the $26 old-fashioned was overpriced and pretty average at best. And they added a 4% kitchen fee to the bill without any prior notice. While we understand rising costs due to inflation and need to support staff, we believe that should be reflected in the manual pricing or wages – not as a fee. Just a different style of management, I suppose.

Google
I was excited for Hamlet and Ghost and my only complaint is the speed of service, quality of service, and lack of acknowledgement. I went at 7pm, got a seat at the bar. Ordered one veggie and a burger. My burger took 45 minutes to be sent out - another patron at the bar ordered after me, received and finished it before I got mine. When my burger was delivered - my empty veggie plate was set aside - and left for another 10 minutes. Cool spot and I’d come back.

Google
Grabbed a reservation for a seat at the chefs counter a few weeks ago for dinner - my wife and I were visiting from out of state and this seemed to be like the hot spot. We ordered drinks, oysters and their house burger. I was thrilled to see that they have vesper martinis on their menu (my favorite drink), my wife opted to try their specialty cocktails. The oysters and burgers were delicious but I think the duck fat fries really stole the show! Would love to come back and try more.

Google
Best dinner I've had in a long time. i've been here twice. everything ive ever had was fantastic. The menu changed from the first time i was there but i had a truffle tomato grilled cheese and tuna tartare the first time, amazing! Just went back and had the broiled oysters, duck fat fries and poulet rouge and it was phenomenal. I also got the glow up non alcoholic cocktail but added gin and it was so so good. We also sat at the chefs counter this time and i typically would prefer a table but it was so fun to watch the kitchen, they are so organized they all looked so calm and in no rush. i only took a photo of the poulet rouge

Google
To specify, I would give the food 3 stars but the cocktails 4.5 stars. My pasta dish was on the salty side as I wasn't able to get the more delicate flavors with it being too salty. Their cocktails are inspiring and probably the most creative and technical of all the bars I went to around downtown. I would recommend coming in for drinks Edit: I appreciate the reponse! No unfortunately I didn't tell my waiter as I didn't want to be rude but we'll be coming back soon so hopefully things are better this time around

Google
My favorite spot to grab dinner in Saratoga. Cozy intimate settings are my favorite, but add the expertise of the mixologists creating delicious craft cocktails & the inspired kitchen staff with their rotation of impeccable seasonal dishes, and it’s a triple threat scenario. Pro-tip: try the gin-gin fizz & the banana pudding vibe dessert. I dream about them both at least once per week. Kudos always to this team!

Yelp
Best oyster preparation I've ever had. The kind of delicious that is hard to share when your bites are numbered. They were also very helpful at avoiding allergens (gluten, soy and dairy).

Yelp
It has been a bit since I have been able to visit H&G, but I intend to go back. The food here is fabulous, even edgy depending on your tastes. They offer carefully prepared meals using a rotation of seasonal ingredients you might not find in a lot of places up here. The service was good during both of the visits I made alone and with a small group. Their specials and drinks were thoughtfully planned and the servers were well informed regarding preparation and content. I expected a bigger wine list considering the high quality, original food, but I ended up trying their unusual mixed drinks (which I don't usually do) and it was excellent. When the entree came I was also impressed, the pasta and vegetables were perfect and the presentation was appealing without the ridiculous "towers" plating often served in higher end establishments. Although I am Vegetarian, I noted the meat based meals at adjoining tables were also well presented with colorful vegetables sides. I can honestly say, the only down side to both visits was the wait. Admittedly I took the chance of not making a reservation, but that's Friday night everywhere, not a reflection on the establishment. I will most definitely be back, this is NYC level quality dining without the trip, keep up the good work H&G!

Yelp
My wife and I are from out of town and the only reason we happened to end up here is because of high praise from a friend who is a local in this area. We made a same day reservation for outside seating but we didn't anticipate how hot it would still be during the evening in this heat wave. Luckily, the staff here seems to have great attention to detail because they texted us warning us about the heat and asked if we wanted to change our seating to indoors. We said yes and got there slightly before our reservation time and were seated at the bar after a few minutes. The burger was highly recommended by our friend. I had just had a burger in downtown Albany for lunch but this one was miles better and exceeded expectations. The beef was super tender and juicy. I would definitely come back just for that. My wife had the aguachiles which she enjoyed. I had a bite of it and if you are into seafood, it was a great small dish. For drinks, my wife had the Oaxaca Sour which was a mezcal based cocktail. It was great and I highly recommend it if you enjoy a bit of smokiness in your drink. I had a cold brew/iced coffee since I was tired from The travel. It was very strong and definitely kept me awake on the drive back to the hotel. Overall I'd come back the next time I'm in town!

Yelp
What an experience, start to finish! The flavor and hospitality are top quality, and enough to keep wanting to come back again and again, but on top of all that, I highly recommend the chef's counter experience! Being able to interact with the staff and observe the detail of the kitchen was a fun topper of transparency that added onto a phenomenal dinner!

Yelp
Okay I wish Yelp had the options for 1/2 stars. I would have done a 4.5. Overall I really liked this place a lot! The food was excellent! It's really rare that I get to say that. I did not have a single critique. The atmosphere is cute inside, very quaint and semi-exclusive. The service was fairly indifferent on the other hand. It was absolutely slammed but my understanding is that it's always that way. I made sure to make reservations for my party over a month in advance! This is not a place you can just walk into for sure! But please make a reservation and check it out for yourself!

Yelp
Why consider any other food when you can eat the best fried cheese curds and duck fat fries at Hamlet & Ghost? Simply unbeatable.

Yelp
We stop here every year on our way to snowboard in Stow, VT because it's exactly halfway. It's basically a tradition at this point. I suppose I could write volumes on every menu item we have had here over the years but I am getting a bit tired of these style of reviews from myself. So here's my "feeling" about this place in no particular order: - Oysters are always great here, but some variations on top of them are unnecessary for my taste. Black caviar this year is too much and a bit distracting for us but I am sure some people love it. - Attention to detail here is impeccable. Preparation, presentation, service is top notch. Literally not a single misstep I have ever seen. - Duck Fat pommes frites are fantastic but get a small portion if you are in doubt. It's a huge portion for a large one so be really hungry. - pasta is really al dente. None of that mushy feeling I hate - ceviche is something you can never err with - don't neglect vegetable dishes or you will be sorry. - mocktails are exquisite and my daughter could probably write her own review just based on those. Overall, this place gets things mostly right and very few things average. Never wrong.

Yelp
The cocktails here continue to impress I had an olive oil vodka infused cocktail that tasted like lemon meringue pie and my husband had a twist on a manhattans with cold brew coffee. Service was excellent. Got a small order of cheese curds to go with it and had a lovely evening
google avatar

Yelp
delicious! great options and the drinks were on point! I went on a double date and we all raved about the duck fries and other shared items.

Yelp
Super impressed. In Saratoga spur of the moment for just one evening. Walked around the area found this place. Was fully booked even early on a Thursday, but luckily score the last outdoor table. Waiter was super helpful to my wife who had celiac. Marked up menu with all the items that were or could be made gluten free. We split bluefin tuna appetizer and I had pasta and she had scallops. Both were cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. A+ experience all around.
google avatar

Rebecca G.

Yelp
A nice corner joint with interesting cocktails and delicious appetizers. We had fried cheese curds, a lovely beet salad, and duck fat fries. The fries were delicious but a little on the soggy side. The beet salad was to die for. My friends just had beer, but I ordered from the cocktail menu -" Tokyo cheese factory". Strange name for a delicious drink. Overall it was lemony and creamy but not as exotic is the list of ingredients would have suggested. I suggest you try this place out. I would definitely go again.
google avatar

S T.

Yelp
I haven't been there for a while. The food and service is still excellent. I had an espresso martini to start. At first I was disappointed because the martini glass was only half full but very strong. I would prefer. A full gla and not as strong. I had the steak tartar and french fries cooked in duck fat.Dont get fooled when you leave stop, they tack 4 percent on the bill for the kitchen staff.

Yelp
What a great spot for a special occasion! I made reservations for my birthday dinner on a Saturday night for six people and only had to wait 15 minutes for the table. For drinks, I ordered the Pumpkin Mai Tai (a seasonal drink), which was really good. We also ordered the bread and butter and cheese curds for appetizers. The cinnamon toast crunch butter that came with the bread was fantastic and I loved the pepper jelly that came with the cheese curds. For my entree, I ordered the double cheeseburger and opted for the duck fat fries. It was amazing!! Perfectly cooked and the fries were delicious. Overall, it's a great spot with delicious options and wonderful service. Definitely make reservations if you're considering going on a weekend night.

Yelp
Still a 10/10 across the board. Service, food and drinks were pure perfection. Nothing was missed. Loved sitting by the window and watching the people walk by but at the same time being able to keep an eye on the open kitchen. I can confidently say its my favorite restaurant in Saratoga.

Konstantinos L.

Yelp
this is my third time eating at hamlet and ghost and honestly, its my last. first of all it took over an hour to get two plates of food and the restaurant is not close to capacity. the steak each time we have come here has been overcooked. the pasta dish; $28 + tip and tax for some gluten free pasta from a box? honestly rude. plus a 4% surcharge that isn't mentioned until the bill comes. whilst it's fine to have it, it should be clearly displayed. better steal places and service elsewhere in Saratoga.
google avatar

Yelp
I would give more stars if I could! We found Hamlet & Ghost on an off-season trip to Lake George, using a Google search for anything within driving distance that was open! That search got us hands down the best meal start to finish that we've ever had at a restaurant. I had one (two) cocktails off the seasonal menu...it was amazing: complex and delicious. We ordered bread as an appetizer and it came deliciously warm, house made with a flavored spread. We then split two entrees, one of which was a carrot based entree. We never thought carrots could be the star of a main course, but the flavors were unbelievable and the dish hearty and filling. We finished with two waiter recommended desserts simply because everything tasted that good that we didn't want to stop eating. The service here was also top notch. When we arrived, we were told by the hostess that the restaurant was closing shortly so we'd have to put our orders in quickly. We were blown away by how NOT rushed we were! Service was amazing, the waiter took his time recommending food and cocktails and we loved every thing we tried! We never felt rushed and it wound up being one of the best meals we've ever had. 10/10 would recommend!!

Yelp
Stopped in for cocktails. Won't again. Putting this much ice in a drink is a real asshole thing to do.
google avatar

Yelp
Bartender Tim is for real. We love going there when we're visiting Saratoga Springs. The best cocktails upstate.
google avatar

Roy-t S.

Yelp
Sat at the bar and the bartender Tim was really helpful with good suggestions. I got the GIN-GIN FIZZ and it was the perfect summer drink for a nice day. I ended up ordering just off the appetizer menu and got: - Duck Fat Fries: big bowl, definitely want to share but they were so good. - Tuna Carpaccio: loved it! - Sourdough Bread with Blueberry & Lemon Butter: I would have skipped this had I known the fries were going to be so much. I ordered another cocktail at the end of my meal, the HIGH-TAI and to be honest I only took a few drinks out of it because it was just too much rum. Tim noticed that and when I asked for the check, he took it off and apologized. I can respect that in service and that makes me want to come back here again in heartbeat!
google avatar

Haejin J.

Yelp
I recommend the food on a Thursday Friday or Saturday. Dranks The bartender recommended the gin gin fizz over the kooky coconut after much thought. This cocktail tastes like a bright boozy whole foods health tonic topped with bouncy marshmallow meringue foam and desiccated citrus and I was here for it. Food Burger -- ok. I'm a veggie lover; this burger has no veggies. I like some variety in textures (think multigrain sprout sandwich or toasted buns, crunchy toppings); this burger's delicate brioche disappeared like down feathers in a pillow fight. But y'all. This is the best effing burger I've had in my life. So simple yet every detail perfection. A meaty patty with standout flavor -- they had to have bathed it in confit or something. A soft smooth elevated bun with hint of sweet. Added in a nice runny egg. Wow. I was pulling a Harry Met Sally over this experience. Bread & butter -- spooned like a pat of Michelin uni, this butter melted in sweet union with each bite of the acidic fresh sourdough Salad -- crunchy lettuce dressed in a punchy pungent pickled dressing unlike anything I've had, heaped with grated cheese, ornamented with crispy savory house made potato chips Hangar steak -- a nice sliced portion of medium rare pink with a satisfying smoky charred outside, but a little tougher than I would've liked and we weren't huge fans of the jus Service No complaints once we got seated at the bar. One thing I'd say is their Resy openings don't actually align with real-time availability. We had to wait for a table for at least 15-30 minutes even though there were several openings on the app. Ambiance Vibrant trendy not pretentious. Not too crowded, pleasantly full. Just lots of people enjoying a night out with friends or family or lovers in a warm dark inviting open layout.

Yelp
Great bistro serving well crafted cocktails and comfort food. Arriving in Saratoga Springs for the first time and I'm hangry! It took hours to drive here and I require libations along with some righteous grub. My search has led me to Hamlet & Ghost. Walking in, it's not a large space. The hostess asked if I have a reservation? A what? I'm Bill S! I'm shown to a nice seat at the bar. Saratoga Springs is a happy hour town, they have an Old Fashioned made with Rye. From Montauk?! My Long Island pride comes out and I tell the bartender. She gave me an explanation of their liquor choices. Now with drink in hand, I order the best gastro pub menu item, shrimp and grits. Look at that picture, you will not find a well executed Grit within a 100 mile radius. Kudos to the chef, great tasting dish from the perfectly cooked Shrimp to the savory grits. Comfort food at its finest. The ghost story is intriguing me, on my next visit I'll be sure to ask about if the place is haunted. Great spot for dinner and drinks, enjoy!
google avatar

Todd K.

Yelp
In town for a conference and was looking for something local and fresh. Had a farmhouse salad as an appetizer and it was a very generous portion and delicious. The smoked bacon and blue cheese crumbles with the fresh medley of lettuce were perfect together. I had the scallops as an entree and they were cooked perfectly which you rarely find anyone who knows how that's done. I ate at the bar and my server bartender was a real professional. She didn't push beverages she knew just when to ask about another round. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for local and fresh.
google avatar

Debbie O.

Yelp
Never disappointing! My husband and I have been going there the last few years for our wedding anniversary. Highly recommend.
google avatar

A D.

Yelp
Best cocktails in the upstate area. You know it's a great place when they have large clear ice for their drinks. Highly recommend.

Lauren F.

Yelp
Everything was amazing, I took my husband to dinner and sat at the chefs table. The drinks were incredibly creative and a perfect amount for a relaxing dinner. We ordered bread and butter and cheese curds for a snack and the pepper jelly for the cheese was outstanding as well as the maple butter for the bread. I had the scallops and my husband had the NY strip, both were cooked perfectly, i don't think I've tasted so much flavor in a scallop before. Our waiter was so kind and my husband had a great time watching the action in the kitchen, the rest of the bar has a relaxing tone to help enjoy an intimate dinner
google avatar

Shannon T.

Yelp
My first comment is make a reservation. I don't care your party size or date or time make a reservation it will be needed! It's an intimate space and popular - rightfully so! We've had very great cocktails and meals here and never a bad experience. The prices are completely worth every bite and sip! The thing that surprised me the most was their burger, who knew, but it's the most amazing burger I had ever had in my life! You must try it!!
google avatar

Andrea M.

Yelp
I may not be liked for this but I will be honest. Cool vibes - okay food - but way overrated. Best thing I ate was the salad. Which stinks because that's never a good sign. Very high end place with a fancy menu but I did not leave feeling full or even satisfied. Expensive bill as well. The bartender was nice tho.
google avatar

Nancy M.

Yelp
Great burgers, fun vibe and excellent service! We would definitely try this restaurant again. They are popular with the collegiate crowd but sophisticated. The menu does not cater to the young crowd but there are some affordable menu items and great drinks to be had. The duck fat fries are excellent for example and a large portion. The entrees are delicious. There is a talented Chef behind all of this .
google avatar

Amy B.

Yelp
Best burger, amazing kale salad and beautifully crafted cocktails! The ambiance is perfection as well!
google avatar

Sophia P.

Yelp
I totally recommend making reservations for visiting this restaurant. I am looking forward to coming again not only because of the great food, but the friendly staff!

Hungry Brooklyn Mike C.

Yelp
Returned to H&G where we have enjoyed several excellent meals, but it appears the place has taken a step backwards. The summer salad was promising, but was a really skippy portion. Pretty disappointing since they have really jacked up their prices (most entrees just sky of 50). The bass was ok, but the fennel wasn't prepared properly and the scallops with kale and lentils was fair at best. Sadly, I'm crossing this off my list of Saratoga places

Bob G.

Yelp
This was one of the best dining & service we ever experienced. Our exceptional server Griffin went above & beyond to make our experience enjoyable & completely five star. All of the staff including the Chef were so friendly, welcoming, and professional. We enjoyed the most amazing Caesar salad, scallops & their famous cheeseburger. My husband raved about the cheeseburger which was delicious! We would one thousand percent recommend this extraordinary restaurant & will be sure to return when in Saratoga.
google avatar

Joern T.

Yelp
Trendy, hip, with a very good "vibe." Service was spot on and very "professional." Food overall was very good to excellent, with a terrific balance of flavors, though my halibut was slightly overcooked, and my older daughter's burger was on the well done side without her having specified so. Pricing is in line with the overall experience. Will certainly visit again next time we're in Saratoga.
google avatar

Rick J.

Yelp
They refused to serve us because my girlfriend is 38 years younger There was clearly available seating

Brandon S.

Yelp
Holy crap. Love the hipster atmosphere, cocktails were great, service was extremely friendly / accommodating, and some of the best food I've had. The attention to detail is really impressive, down to the fancy / fully clear ice cubes they apparently purchase from the 'Ice Man' for their cocktails. Who else does that? Evan the bartender told me the chef also hand picks the hedgehog mushrooms for the dishes. I had the pork loin, so many complex flavors going on, I contemplated licking the plate. Highly recommend, it lived up to the hype.
google avatar

Sara M.

Yelp
Dinner here was good. There were some delicious plates and some others that I wanted a little more from but either way the menu is unique and worth a trip. The gin fizz however was probably the best gin fizz I've ever had.
google avatar

Molly C.

Yelp
I have had many enjoyable dining experiences here. The atmosphere is cozy and the food is good. I am not saying I won't return, either. However, $25 for FIVE oysters ? I went in with my fiance for oysters and a cocktail. We asked how many oysters come in the order and were shocked to learn it was FIVE. FIVE ?!? There are two of us, you can't share an order of five oysters. So what do you do? Order two orders? For $50!?!?!? I don't mind paying for oysters but $5 per oyster is laughably high. Last time I saw oysters that expensive was at Nobu in NYC, this is Saratoga, in January at that. Come on We left and went to 30 lake and enjoyed a dozen delicious oysters.
google avatar

Scott B.

Yelp
Love this spot, has the ambiance, service to complement and excellent cocktails. The food at times can be inconsistent. Service can be considered a bit slow at times. But overall we would highly recommend. H & G is a chill, laid back couples spot with well trained service staff. Great spot for romantic evenings

Corie Y.

Yelp
Hamlet & Ghost was probably one of my favorite recent experiences. The cocktails are incredible, I mean to die for. The bartender, more like mixologist, was excellent at her craft. My first drink was the Melon & Burrata, described on the menu as "you will just have to trust us". I sure did and no regrets. It was so balanced and truly remarkable. After watching her making magic, I wanted to ask her for a recommendation. My liquor of choice is gin, so she recommended a Pimm's Cup. It was a perfect match for me, super refreshing. The drinks came quick, which I was very impressed with. Many times I've experienced long waits for drinks when they are crafted like this, but she was rocking it. Someone recently mentioned their cheese curds being fantastic, so we decided to try it out. They were so good! Little cheese balls fried in a batter reminiscent of fried dough, dipped into a warm pepper jelly. Yeah, get them. I really need to come back very soon and try more of the menu and more and more of those cocktails! You will defintely need a reservation. I was the first person waiting outside at 4:45 for a seat at the bar. By 5, there were 4-5 couples behind me also hoping to get a seat. I do wish they opened earlier.

Stephen M.

Yelp
Double cheeseburger with the duck fat fries were super satisfying comfort food. Steak entry was delicious too! Service was exceptional and the vibe was chill.

Martha V.

Yelp
I used to love this place and I never care about paying their prices cause it was good. But it's getting crazy, 5 Oysters for $25 and they had crush ice on them. Who wants to eat oysters this ice at the price. On top they are charging a kitchen Administration Fee on your check. It's kind of ridiculous. Never come back I get better Oyster at 30 Lake restaurant for $3 each and $2 for happy hour without extra fee

Yelp
Good and interesting food and in a cozy atmosphere - a variety of good starters and cocktails in a great location!

Yelp
Came here for drinks - was able to be seated at the bar for 4 on a Friday night. Very extensive drinks menu. Had a spritz and it was delicious. Highly recommend!

Yelp
One of my top five meals ever! Duck fat fries, pork belly, ceviche, sweet potato fingerlings, cabbage and broccolini, shrimp and grits! We tried so many things and the flavor was incredible! Even my cocktail was over the top delicious.

Yelp
I really enjoyed Hamlet & Ghost. The atmosphere is chill, the staff was pleasant, and the food and drinks were perfect. Service was a bit slow but worth the wait and the staff was incredible and so apologetic. Sometimes things happen and the kitchen is busy or behind. We just enjoyed an extra drink or two while waiting. We had the pork belly as an appetizer and it was cooked to perfection. So tender and just *chef's kiss* (PORK BELLY mustard greens, fennel, pesto rosso) . We enjoyed the strawberry margarita and Kooky Coconut for drinks. Both mixed and made well. For dinner we enjoyed the BARLEY RISOTTO snap peas & english peas, smoked manchego, summer truffle and the HALIBUT bok choy, pickled shiitake, miso dashi. The risotto was not what I'm used to when it comes to risotto but it was tasty and different. The halibut was good and you could tell everything was fresh and cooked to order. If you are in Saratoga check it out. Make a reservation as they were pretty busy and had a long wait or had to turn people away who didn't have reservations. The price point is about average for the area and the quality. I was expecting it to be more pricey but thought it was on target with what I've been seeing for prices in the area.

Yelp
Very creative food and drink menu with lots of unique flavor combinations. The service was excellent. A little expensive for the area but the price was consistent with the level of service and the attention to detail put into each plate.

Yelp
Hands down one of the best food experiences from start to finish I've ever had in my life. Cocktails, starters, entrees, desserts, even the espresso was five stars. Their thought and consideration radiates with every bite. And the fact we had this experience on a random Monday evening with less than 30min before kitchen close, speaks volumes to the dedication of their craft. Well done and see you again soon!

Yelp
This was the final dinner stop of the trip. I can see why some of the locals talk highly of this place as the food and cocktails were fantastic. Its like they knew I was coming, I am a huge fan of burrata, but ive never seen a fondue style of it! It was extremely savory and the bread accompanying the melted buratta goodness was nice and crispy. For mains, I got the duck breast. The duck was succulent and wonderfully seasoned, i also enjoyed the fact they kept a small fat cap on top of the breast that was crispy. The blackberry jus was also an excellent way of adding some acidity to the somewhat heavy mix of polenta and duck. Drinks were also superb, we ordered the land of the rising sun and indian summer. The Indian summer was actually a bit spicy so props to them for kicking up the heat a bit! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a bit of an upscale place to dine in at saratoga springs, I certainly wont forget it

Yelp
This is me screaming from the roof tops! Hamlet & Ghost has the best burger in Saratoga! I've had them all. There's a few top contenders, but this is the winning burger. Hamlet & Ghost is known for their perfectly crafted cocktails, warm ambiance and delicious entrees. But they should be known for this burger! Try it. You are welcome.
