My sister gifted me a visit together here for my birthday. Neither of us had been to either location before. We booked a signature mani/pedi and were really looking forward to the experience.
We diligently prepared ourselves by completing and sending in the pretreatment questionnaire. Both of us noted the difference between signature and non signature treatment descriptions, followed their instructions, and arrived with no shellac to remove. Not even regular polish.
When we arrived, we were told they didn't have our emailed questionnaires and we had to do them all over again on paper. We were brought upstairs to the spa level and checked in, again. We were given our cloth wrap robes and shown the locker room where you select your flip flops. We could then proceed to the waiting area where they have a few sitting areas and snacks (nuts and dried fruits, tea and water.)
The staff collected us and we were seated for our services, mani first. The staff were nice enough, but at no point was it explained to us what this polish actually is. They told us it's Vinylux but that was it. We had no idea this is basically a cross between polish and shellac, even though my sister asked about the formulation.
The staff were pretty good with our procedures (although I did notice a faint scratch on a nail surface when we were finished.) Then it went steeply downhill.
2 weeks later I need to remove the polish as it's all worn away at the tips. So I get out my remover...and nothing is happening! I call my sister and she confirms, she had to resort to acetone remover to get it off. We filled out health questionnaires including cancer history and they aren't transparent about this? Nowhere on their site does it advise you will need acetone to take this stuff off. I also soon experienced horrendous skin degradation, my hands like velcro scraping and snagging against every textile I touched. Not to mention, 10 weeks later and my nails are in shreds, it will take a whole regrowth from the cuticle up to get rid of the brutal damage.
Will never go back and advise you don't go at all either.
