Went to this lauderhill location and bought 6 patties and it has a sour spoiled taste in them and it was also well done. I contacted the restaurant and was told to bring them back I stated 6 individual took a bit off the patties and the man said he’s not the owner and it’s the first he’s hearing this so he doesn’t know what to do.I told him I’ll follow up with the manager Monday when he’s in

Patty tastes weird and kind of sour. On top of that, I had to educate the guy serving me to not stick his hand in the bag, especially when tongs are provided. For $4 a patty, I'd expect it to taste better and not come with a potential side of Hepatitis A or E. The only positive is that the patty was hot - but I can get a hot patty at Golden Krust. I won't be returning.

Terrible! Decided to grab authentic Jamaican food here was an ultimate fail. From the second we entered the door the young lady never greeted us, not even with a “I’ll be right with you”. She proceeded to pack “to go orders”. Once done she asks what would we like, as she smacked her chewing gum. We asked for Spicy Beef patties and Regular she said “I only have regular”, while accepting or making a call on her air bud. We asked for Jerk Chicken none was available, this was in the afternoon. So the only thing we purchased were 4 regular GREASY mushy patties. Don’t waste your time, go somewhere else.

Probably one of my favorite places to get patties. They are always flaky and flavorful. The neighborhood is rather questionable but other than that, it’s worth it. You have a great snack/meal for under $10. Highly recommended to me by friends and I definitely recommend to anyone looking for good patties in the greater Fort Lauderdale area.

I honesty have not been here in a few years. When I moved from the area I totally forgot it was near the other patty store. Stopped in and bought a few spicy beef patties and I could not get past the one because it was huge as well as filling. I did not have dinner and ate this at 11:30 am. It was very good and fresh and a very flaky crust. Only thing is that it was a bit oily. Other than that it was very good.I guess I will be visiting more often. Also while I was there a cop gave a ticket to a fellow customer because she decided to park in a handicap space and had no permit. I assume those are the most expensive patties she ever bought. Loved the patty I'll be back!

Am very disappointed with this Restaurant cause I've been going here for years. They really fell off big time. The prices are ridiculously high. The Patties don't even taste the way how they use to neither the Pastries 🍰🎂 . Then inside the Restaurant hot 🥵 with no AC am very the Owner needs to do much better 😕😯😮😲😒😠😠😠😠.

I ordered “cheese” patty but got back to palm beach to oily beef patty. Very disappointed. They got the crust down good and the coco bread good but the patty recipe it self needs work. The service was as expected for a Jamaican establishment so yeah.

Fresh good tasting patties overall. One thing though the spicy beef isn’t really spicy at all. Good customer service! As a Jamaican it’s hard to find decent Pattie’s in South FL but these are good 👍🏽 flakey crust and good meat inside. I tried a mild and spicy beef. I got my friend a vegetable patty cause she’s vegetarian

I was in the mood for a flaky beef patty so I decided to try a different spot and give Hammond's a chance. The restaurant is a quintessential hole in the wall Jamaican bakery. Zero frills. I decided to try the spicy beef and the cheesy beef and a coco bread. They both had good flavor and a flaky crust. I do think next time I will skip the cheese as I didn't really like the type of cheese used. Hammond's did the job to fill a craving. Not bad.

Patty's was really good. The crust was flakey and delicious and the filling has great texture and flavor. Service was surprisingly good, servers was quite pleasant and courteous. I gave a 4 star because the patty was a bit too greasey. My favorite patty is the stew chicken patty.

The best patties ever! And they have been the best for quite some time! My patties are always fresh, flaky, and delicious! And the coco bread is always perfect! I got the ackee and saltfish patty with coco bread. It was so do good. I really wish I could eat it everyday! Any time I'm in the area I have to stop by and grab some patties from hammonds! They have the best variety as well! Something for everyone. They are always busy but they move the line along so quickly. I can't stop dreaming of these patties! Already looking for a reason to be in the area so I can go grab some more patties!

Haven't been to this establishment in approx. a year at 4224 nw 12 street lauderhill, Fl. 33313. So went there on the 21 July 2023. Wasnt annoyed by the rise in beef price. I bought 3 beef patties at $8.25 total with taxes added .58 for total $8.83. Suprisingly as I check my receipt. They decided to tack on a 30 % unauthorized fee on my card for a whopping $2.65 now grand total of $11.48. Bear in mind this was a take out ,not a eat in diner, which they dont accomodate. This is just for awareness for dealing with crooks esp. the ones who offers a product or service (the ones who love money)... If you care. Stay safe, vigilant, Blessed!

Yooooooooo! The best Pattie's Ive had in a while. Hot and fresh came all the way from palm beach! I'll be back! Ackee and salt fish, meatloaf. The bun and cheese! Don't sleep on this spot!

Bought 7 curry chicken and ackee and salt-fish patties but threw them all in the trash because the filling had an overwhelmingly strong vinegar taste. Service was fast and friendly but the patties were disappointing. I usually stop by when I'm in town but don't think I'll be back if this is part of the new seasoning.

Oh if I could give this place negative stars I would. The level of racism....waited in line ahead of 3 other people who just so happened to be colored. Gentleman completely ignored me and continued to help the customers that were behind me. The woman at the counter told me to "just wait" and hen I asked her if I could just order one pie, as the couples in front of me were getting $40+ of things. I am disgusted. I was blantently discriminated against. I will NEVER return here or recommend this place to any of my friends, who ALL happen to be of color. Fuck you guys!

Ummmmmm it's a NO!! Wow where do I start! Staff is NOT friendly or welcoming. Make sure you have exact change or if using a card must be $5 or more. Now on to the patty. Speechless. Very strange aftertaste. To the point that my family and I could NOT finish. What upsets me most is why is the meat soooo runny that all the meat in the patty goes to the bottom!! Why?? I should be able to enjoy every bite with meat not just eating dough for the first couple bites. Moral of this paragraph is please please do better!!

A couple of friends recommended I visit. I was not disappointed. The beef patties are very tasty with a golden flaky buttery crust and well-seasoned beef filling. I tried both mild and spicy, and spicy had just enough kick. Coco bread was also soft, perfectly browned. Customer service was good. Packaged each customer's order with care, no-rush pace, while singing. Limit of 4 customers allowed inside at one time, stickers on floor for social distancing. Various specials offered. I'm happy to have a new go-to.

They have the best patties I have ever tasted! I have never had a patty that made me want to go back the same day and get another one. The meat was flavorful and well seasoned and the crust was light but solid.

The food and service are awesome! The best Carribean Bakery in South Florida! Get them while they are hot!!!

Hammond's Ackee Patty and the Callaloo Patty are my favorite. I've had a lot of patties in my life but Hammond's patties are my fave whenever I'm in the mood for a patty in South Florida.

Love their spicy beef patties. Patties are made to order! Hands down the best place to get patties.

My Jamaican husband buys so many patties from here that I'm beginning to question if he can become a shareholder. I don't eat patties, but he does and according to him these are the closest to the ones you will find in Jamaica. P.S. anyone with information on how to become a shareholder for Hammond's or if shareholders even get a patty incentive, hit me up. Tired of spending all of my dogs college funds on beef patties.

Not a fan of the Patties. Customer service was unbearable. Will never patronize there again.

First and last time, I gave a 2 star because I bought what they call guava/guava cheese tarts, I actually wanted plantain tarts, but they had none. I got home and after dinner I thought I would have one for dessert, but it was the worst pastry I ever had, they were stale/old like they have been sitting for couple of days, they had no filling inside only the red color that looks like jam, to say the least I had to throw them out. Very disappointing!!!

Best beef patties on this side of the world, but on my last visit there Ackee and Saltfish patty.....*speechless* It is a small store front and tiny shop that is most of the time always full. They are in high demand so they run out of popular items frequently but try and restock just as fast. It is so worth it. I'm not really a fan of some of their baked items but that's a preference. A must go!!!

The closest thing to real Jamaican patties that I have found IN Broward County. I ditched going to a fancy anniversary brunch for their spicy beef patties. If you want something close to the real thing, stop in at Hammonds to grab a patty or two. Enjoy!!!

I'm just saying I bought some patties on Wednesday and oh my gosh , I was so disappointed, maybe you ran out of ackee or saltfish, but the nasty stiff you guys put to make up ....please never do that again, anyway I'm not coming back......so sorry .

Omg I. Have been to Hammonds a few time the crust of the patty was tasty but the patty was flat just a tat of meat was in the casing I call them and told them about it Me thinking that they had improve because I hear that the patty was on point. Yes on point is rite.I bought some patty a few days ago The patty had some meat like substance oozing out of the casing. I was too far away to return back. I put a post on fb with out their name only location there is 3 of them them close by. I call Hammonds today and ask to.speak to the owner or manager the worker say they run the business with out supervision. Maybe that is why they patty are turning out this way. It's a shame. I will be posting their name on fb. Don't want pple thinking it's Charlie or Golden crust at this time.I told them it's a bad reviewj They don't read reviews

The taste of their patties are never consistent from the one in lauderhill. Ordered patties today. Only ordered two. Thank God. They were not good. The seasoning was definitely off. Like I said, They are not consistent. Will not be ordering from them anymore.

I was told this was the best place to pick up some authentic Jamaican patties. I am not an expert when it comes to patties but I can tell you these patties did not win me over. They have a great flaky crust but the filling (meat) looks like like some purée much like baby food. They only offer take out no tables or seats inside so we had to eat them in the car. That was a huge error on my part. They were freshly made and very hot but the crust could not hold in the puree contents and it spilled out onto my clothes and car. Seems you cannot eat these while the crust and contents are hot. Honestly I do not care for Hammonds patties. My palate may need some fixing up based on their excellent reviews. Service was great, friendly staff takes your order and when I visited the line went very fast. If you do go,,,, be warned bring a bib, you will need it.

Best patty place in town with the flakiest crust. Their busiest time is lunch time but worth the wait. Tammy and Ally are the best servers they always get my order just right!

I drive 30 minutes for their "Jerk Chicken Patties". They are the "Best". "Spicy Beef" rock too. I have been a customer of this location for 15 years. Friendly service too.

Best patties in Florida! Always fresh, flaky crust and the flavorful meat will take you back to Jamaica.

I just went to purchase some patties and the lady that was serving had her mask on underneath her nose and also your purchase has to be over five dollars for you to use anything electronic payment.

OMG I am abandoning Golden Krust for this place. Thanks to a friend of mine who told me about this. It's like a couple parking lots down from Golden Krust. Parking can be a mission as their are other businesses there as well as a park across the street. But be prepared when you first enter the bakery. The smell of fresh patties are going to smack you! Like literally. Service is a good pace as they get a lot of traffic. Their patties are fresh and flaky. The crust is pretty thin so forget about driving on the go, lol! Their fruit punch is really sweet but delicious!! All in all I'm a fan!

I really wish I could give them no stars. I've been coming here for over 10 years and never have I seen this type of behavior nor food served from this establishment. To begin I walked in and they were out of my favorite drink and had to mix the remainder with another flavor. No problem I leave half way through my Jamaican patty I noticed foul still on the patty and curly strand of hair. I go back to confront them about this and the skinny male server asked me "what am I trying to do Expose them" I was offended immediately not only did I serve me food with hair in and but your not sorry about it. I love there patties but they need better servers and hairnets for all of their rude staff. Btw I will be sending this review and images to OSHA!!!

Though it been ages since I've last had a patty from here prior to today....I've always preferred Hammond's beef patties. Goes back to my college days. The meat is more flavorful and though the crust is thinner than the usually patty place, it is my preference. I'd rather have tastier meat, as opposed to biting into a patty that's all crust or the meat is dry. The patties here are flaky, and judging from how busy they are, customers keep coming back.

The patties here are great . Really flavorful and flaky unlike golden krust. There was one time that I came here and the patty had a weird almost bitter taste but that was only once.The rum cake is AMAZING but the guava and cheese pastry is just OK.

The patties were hot and fresh. Lots of filling. However.... I always eat my patties with Coco Bread and there's was not as soft and fresh as I would like.

the best beef patties I've had in America. well I've never stepped out of America but my Jamaican friends told me their patties were the closest thing to what they make at home and all though i can't compare it to that, I can compare it to Golden Krust and the frozen box stuff and Hammond's is 110% better. great patties!

Great patties. It's a tough choice between these guys and Charlie's. So I aways get both.

And still I continue to drive out of my way to come here. It's the best patties in the county simply put. I've been here several times since my last review and they have not disappointed since. So let's just say they were having a bad day.

I like the callaloo and veggie (cabbage, green peas, carrot) patties . I also prefer this Lauderhill Hammond's over the one in Miami Gardens. I never cared for the Miami Gardens one when I lived there.
