I’ve been a loyal Hammond’s customer for many years. Even while living out of state, I regularly had a dozen Callaloo patties shipped to me. Recently, I made the drive from West Palm Beach, where I now live, to pick up my usual order in person.
On the way home, I couldn’t resist enjoying one of the patties—and it was just as delicious as I remembered. But to my surprise, the next one I bit into was filled with ground stew chicken. As it happened, the entire batch had been mislabeled.
I contacted the bakery, and I was truly impressed by how quickly and professionally the management team handled the situation. Not only did they identify and correct the issue right away, but they went above and beyond by personally delivering a fresh batch of patties directly to my home. And let me just say—they were the best I’ve ever had from Hammond’s: perfectly flaky and full of flavor.
To make up for the mix-up, they included six additional patties in the delivery—three of which were ackee and saltfish, and just as delicious. This kind of transparency, responsiveness, and generosity defines outstanding customer service. Hammond’s is setting the standard, and I couldn’t be more appreciative.
