Hamm's 54 Burgers + BBQ

Absolutely amazing, by far the best ribs I've had in my lifetime. Everything was so good, perfect setting for a great meal on a nice day. Don't pass it up!

good quality burger seasoned just right...street corn was good just would like it hot in my opinion. It was served 🥶

Great barbecue, but they need to accommodate customers better. I asked for a brisket sandwich, lean. Was told can’t do that, brisket is marbled but it is hand trimmed. All briskets are hand trimmed at this stage, and there are two parts to the brisket, I just wanted a cut from the thinner, less fatty part and didn’t get it. Also, as I was standing there I headed people inside complaining about other customers outside with me stating they don’t modify, orders are made how they are with regards to cheese or something like that… good barbecue yes, flexibility to meet the customers needs considering they are paying for the food, no. Don’t talk about other customers with people standing right there at your window, it’s rude.

The sliced Turkey is my favorite! However I have also tried the sliced brisket, pulled pork and smoked chicken which were all very good and flavorful. This place is definitely not afraid of the spices. This picture shows potato salad and hot cheeto elote. The elote is very spicy & good- its not like traditional elote this is served cold. The potato salad is my favorite side by far. The beans are good but just know there is a kick of heat with them. The mac n cheese is homemade and Texas Twinkies are out of this world. On my last visit I tried the oatmeal cream pie. Which is an little Debbie's opened up and stuffed with cream cheese and other goodness!

OMGEEEE!! If you haven’t been here…you are missing out on some dang good food!!! I got the brisket grilled cheese and it was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!

My mom, sister and I stopped here after a day of traveling to the cabin. The brisket and pulled pork was wonderful. It's a cute place and the guy was really nice. It closes early for some reason but that seems normal around here. Lovely!

Great food, but prices are a bit on the high side. A good "Once in a while" kind of place. Edit 2/21/2023 - Great people, but has gone way downhill on quality of food and proportions. Got some brisket and pork belly 2-meat plate ($17.98). Brisket was super small, about half of a serving and the pork belly was about the size of 2 pecans together. Brisket was overcooked and a little hard. Pork belly was literally only a small bite of meat that was so hard and dry (overcooked), that I could barely chew it like a piece of stale beef jerky and the rest of it was just a ball of pure fat. Sides were super small portions, about 3 bites each. Not much to say anymore. Use to love this place, even with the REDICULOUSLY high prices for the area.

Customer service was excellent at the window...very friendly. Ordered Burger, BBQ sandwich and onion rings. The Burger and BBQ were overcooked and dry. The BBQ does have a lovely smoked flavor and onion rings were the best I've had in a while. Did not receive BBQ sauce with my BBQ sandwich. Disappointed and likely will not return.

Lucky to have this barbecue joint in Pottsboro. Meaty ribs excellent brisket friendly service! We love their drive-through and make this a regular stop for family gatherings.

I can't remember a time that a restaurant in this location has gotten this much business! Must be good, right? The husband and I are big BBQ fans, so we were excited to finally give Hamm's a try. I had a sliced brisket sandwich combo (hold the sauce) with curly fries and a drink. I don't love pickled onions (which are served on the side, along with pickles) and the iced tea isn't fresh-brewed, but other than that I was super impressed. Great meat, tasty buns and fresh fries. Can't wait to return and try some more. Welcome to Pottsboro, Hamm's!

I will start out by saying we only got the burger combos so I don't know about their BBQ. First we didn't realize when we heard about this place it's only a drive through or outdoor seating.. we waited quite a long while for our food in the drive through and it wasn't cause of a long line... Then was kinda underwhelmed by the experience... the fries, we was excited to see curly fries, but they was cold and hard. The burger was underwhelming too. The cheese was good but their "secret sauce" tasted super watery and just kinda left the burger soggy with no real flavor and bun was hard. Idk if we will come back

Delish! Love supporting a local business. Food was good, just wish they had the option to dine indoors for a hot or cold day. We happened to go on a very windy day.

I took a long ride on my motorcycle from Frisco to try this new place. Great brisket and curly fries. I would definitely recommend. New owners are awesome! I have to respectfully disagree with the gentleman's comment about the sauce. I thought it was some of the best damn tasting sauce I have ever had.

Tried this place out last time we were in Pottsboro. It's absolutely delicious and so quick! The baked potato was huge. I saved it and finished the next day. The Mac and cheese is unlike any other I had before and it's so delicious. I'll be back! Highly recommend!

Got a few burgers, Turkey and brisket by the half pound. Burgers were ok, brisket that day was ok and extra fatty, but the Turkey was to die for! I hope these guys make it. As a new group the line is incredible....

Very good food.. Hubby got me a loaded potato with chicken & he got the Pottsboro Pie & two Texoma Twinkies.. Everything was so so good!! The sauce they give to put on your stuff is super yummy as well.. Would definitely go back & recommend this place for anyone who loves some good Texas BBQ food.. Even our fur baby loved what she got to try.. lol

I've tried it 3 times and won't go back. Sliced brisket sandwich all 3 times - very inconsistent and disappointing. First time was good - actually great. Second time same request of lean meat was literally a hunk of meat that wasn't even sliced. Had to wait until I got home to slice the meat. Third time was even worse - a burnt ends sandwich. Threw it away. Maybe they don't care or don't know what sliced lean means. At $15 a pop, I'll save my bbq funds for Hutchins. Now that's good bbq served consistently with pride.

1st time back since the new owners, remodel, prices higher, lunch specials were none, slow service, but worse was the toughness of the brisket, like eating cardboard, sauce is over spiced. Will not return unless the previous owners return, they were great, very friendly, they would even give my dog sausage, unlike now with the headset mics they don't care! Bubye! PS update your hours on Yelp, believe it or not people use this avenue!

We went to Hamms for the first time. They have been open for quite awhile. Ordered two Cardinal sandwiches with chopped brisket. The portions of meat were really good! It was a full meal! Excellent, smoked flavor on the meat. I only wish that we had visited Hamms more than this one time. Will definitely return and try more items on their menu.

Amazing food, quick service and great people. The burgers are amazing, Turkey and brisket also fabulous.

Tried hamm's today, very disappointed, bbq brisket completely over smoked, true sign of amateur pitt master, maybe they will learn over time, but not at my expense, won't be back, good luck ps: though I have never tried them but maybe you should stick to hamburgers

Inconsistent brisket tenderness. Drives me up a wall ! I would check each brisket. I know that Franklins may put them in the smoker all at once but due to thickness and quality (etc.) they monitor for the exact internal temperature and then remove each as it becomes precise! This place is Soooo close to being great. Just want it to be consistent!

excellent tender bbq-came for fink festival but they didnt have bbq available so I came to Hamm's-it was so good -I came back for seconds-Love the spicy sauce and brisket-cant go wrong
