Hampton by Hilton Berlin City Centre Alexanderplatz

The room was fine. The bed: comfortable Shower: decent. A bit hard to figure out if you're not used to it, but it works! Bathroom: another hotel with the sliding door thing 😩 Space: good enough for a couple days. No fridge. Couch was dirty and clearly not cleaned. AC: it just blew air. Not cold. The room was pretty warm but the window opens. The staff: the guy who helped us at the front desk was nice. Young dude who spoke English and German. The older man with glasses was a real jerk though. The bartender is fantastic (he was bald). 10/10 deserves a raise. Breakfast: it's okay. Not great. But it was also really busy when I was there. The breakfast staff was trying really hard to stay on top of everything. Parking: we couldn't rezerve, which is really really stupid. So it ran out. The nearest parking is about a 7-10 minute walk, which isn't bad unless it's freezing 😂 Location: right in front of the tram and busses. Easy walk to restaurants and bars. All in all, it's good enough!

Great location. Very clean. Amenities kept to a minimum (I still remember those glory days when the hotels put everything you can imagine in the room -- even cute little sewing kits :) ). Nonetheless, there was nothing we deeply missed. An espresso machine would have been nice! As expected being in a central and busy part of the city, you could still hear the street noise like the tram and ambulances, but it wasn't too disturbing. The general atmosphere is business like more than family oriented. As I read in the reviews, the breakfast is very busy, but it wasn't as bad as I feared -- we managed to find a spot to sit down and eat every day and the food quality and selection was very good. I guess it is very reasonable for the amount of money we paid. The room was a bit tight with 3 of us in the room, but we managed.

Lovely hotel on Alexanderplatz. Breakfast is usual Hampton fare, but is always replenished quickly, nothing went out of stock. Staff are so friendly and go above and beyond for guests. If you’re a light sleeper ask for a quiet room at the back! Hotel is super accessible on the S9 from the airport or the RER to Berlin HBF and then U2 from there.

After reading previous reviews I was a little bit sceptical. |However, I found the hotel fine. |Breakfast could be busy but plenty seats and food constantly replenished. All the staff I spoke to were very polite and helpful. I didn’t speak to a single rude person! |There were trams outside but after a couple of hours we didn’t notice the noise from them, in fact we were grateful of the close tram stop. My mother being elderly the transport was excellent! Trams, trains and busses all close by. |Berlin attractions are all spaced out so the public transport was a must for us! |Alexanderplatz a short walk away, the nearest Christmas Market was there. An Aldi nearby also which was handy. |There was a kettle in the room with plenty tea/coffee which was topped up throughout. The beds were comfy for a 3 night stay. The shower was good, lots of power and red hot! |We got a train from inside the airport (S9) direct to Alexanderplatz, which was about 35 mins. |Overall a pleasant stay and great location.

I had a fabulous stay for 4 nights and the location is near shopping mall, underground and Christmas market. The hotel has a good reputation by Hilton and you never have wrong decision. In addition, the breakfast is very good and sausages not every day served. I highly recommend.

I had a wonderful stay at Hampton by Hilton Berlin City Centre – Alexanderplatz, and the staff truly made the experience stand out.||I arrived early and was pleasantly surprised to be allowed to check in at 12:30pm, well before the usual 3pm time. On top of that, they even let me grab a drink from the breakfast area on arrival, which was such a thoughtful and welcoming touch. Little things like this really make a difference when you’ve been travelling.||The team were consistently kind and accommodating throughout my stay. On one morning I wasn’t able to stay for breakfast, and without any fuss they provided me with a takeaway breakfast box, which was hugely appreciated and not something every hotel offers.||Breakfast itself is good, but worth noting for UK travellers: it’s more continental than traditional English. The hot options are things like hotdogs, beans and eggs rather than bacon and sausages (there was meatballs) or at least that was my experience. That said, there’s a wide selection beyond the hot food — fresh bread, pastries, fruit, yoghurts, cereals, a waffle maker, and plenty of Nutella, which will definitely keep most people happy. I was the 8th floor with stunning views. The cleaners made a point of saying morning every time you seen them. ||It would be useful to have access to the stairs, there are 3 lifts but if you’re on the top floor, it can take forever to get there, especially at breakfast where as if there was stairs access, it would be much easier to just walk.||The location is another big plus — right by Alexanderplatz, with excellent transport links and easy access to major sights. It was super easy to get to and from the airport. In terms of shops for snacks, that’s a little harder to locate. There is a shopping centre about a 10 minutes walk, in the basement there is a supermarket to buy essentials like milk and such, especially if you fancy a cuppa. ||Upon checkout out - they allowed me to extend my checkout by 1 hour till 1pm. Which was useful as my flight was 4pm. They are super flexible at this hotel. ||Overall, this hotel delivers exactly what you want from a Hampton by Hilton: clean, comfortable rooms, a great location, and genuinely friendly, helpful staff. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and would happily recommend it to others.

The hotel is about a 5-10 minute walk from the railway station. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. We stayed in a twin room the beds are a good size, you have tea and coffee making facilities, no fridge. A large TV and a safe in what looks like a drawer. There was a walk in shower with shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. Breakfast was good, a selection of cereals, meats, salad, fruit, waffles and cooked food which varied each day (Bacon, beans, scrambled egg, boiled egg, hash browns). Not a bad hotel all in all.

Expected more from a Hampton Inn. Pillows were not great at all; no support. Online reviews for breakfast seem inflated as it was pretty standard. Shower drained slowly. Room temperature was far too hot to sleep. Window only opened so far and the traffic noise was terrible with horns honking and emergency vehicles (hospital nearby). No fridge in room was a bummer. Dresser with drawers would have been nice to unpack clothes from suitcase. Location excellent with tram stop right outside entrance. Staff friendly and helpful. Very grateful for the late checkout! Spacious bedroom safe. Mattress was comfortable.

I would give this really more like a 3 1/2. The location is OK, it's a little bit out of the way. The parking situation is terrible. They have a parking lot but it's underground parking garage and there are not enough spaces for the guests in the hotel. So sometimes you may have to park on the street or try to find another parking garage somewhere and there are not other garage is very close. This is especially annoying in the winter when you have to hike in a few blocks in the cold with your bags. Now the room itself was insanely tiny. It was clean and it was nice but literally if you put your bag on the jacks and you might not be able to get around it. This was one of the smallest rooms I have ever seen. It makes New York City rooms look large. The bathroom is adequate it's pretty standard for Hamptons in Europe. I do like the mirror with the light around the edge. The breakfast is quite nice in this hotel and there's plenty of seating. They have plenty of coffee machines and they have hot chocolate packets. They did not mention my Hilton diamond status when I checked in and I had to ask for my bottles of water but other than that the service was decent.

I do not normally leave reviews at places but this one seemed necessary. The front desk workers are friendly and helpful in general, with the exception of one person - Manager Heinrich. If that's misspelled, and you want to find the guy I am referring to, just look up Alex Baldwin in the cat and the hat movie and you will know who I mean (he looks and acts the character). If you come to him with an issue, he will help you if you are German native. He speaks great English but if you are visiting from America, he will be useless on purpose while smirking at you. Very unprofessional of him to tarnish the great Hampton/Hilton name. Needs to be held accountable.

Candidly, just okay. Rooms are nice but staffing is an issue. I don't require cleaning and my "Do Not Disturb" sign was ignored both days-on the second day, a housekeeping person entered my room while I was standing in my underwear ironing clothes and WOULD NOT LEAVE until I physically led her to the door and pushed it shut. I discovered 90 minutes later that she was expecting me to leave as the hotel had screwed up my reservation and was expecting me to check out a day ahead of my actual departure. Both of these things are totally unacceptable. Several times I've called the front desk and the phone just rings. I sent out laundry and it came back smelling like cigarettes at a cost of €100. There are worse hotels, and unlike many in Europe, this one has excellent beds and AC-but there's weird stuff going on here too that made my stay unpleasant.

I think this hotel is new and still working itself out. We arrived really late on Monday - around midnight. As a diamond member upon check in, I asked if I could have a water bottle since that's pretty standard at any Hilton chain. They said sure, you can go buy it at the bar. Oh well. We went to our room on the 4th floor. It was small and had a "garden view" which I'm sure was much quieter than the street side. The room had a desk, bed, and small bathroom. There were no wash cloths provided either. The hotel itself is located within a 5 min walk to Alexanderplatz which makes it pretty easy to get anywhere. There is a pizza place and liquor store right around the corner as well. The hotel has a bar and a small area you can order some snack items. The breakfast was pretty decent, too. I don't know if I'll ever come back to Berlin, but if I do I think I'd choose the other Hampton on the other side of town. The employees weren't very friendly here and the experience wasn't that great.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff is wonderful. The hotel is well located. It's just a short walk to Alexanderplatz and the U-bahn, which are both huge advantages. We found ourselves just hanging out in the Alexanderplatz area often, before coming back to our hotel. If you're lucky they'll be a weekend festival in the area. Oddly enough we came in during a Hispanic Heritage festival I believe. It was fun and there were plenty of good German eats and drink food carts to choose from in the square on our first few nights. The rooms are very clean, small but clean. The free breakfast is well worth the stay here. It was always well maintained while we were there and they give you plenty of time to get in for the good eats. There are busier times that you may want to avoid. We found that 9am was quite busy. We enjoyed the bar area on a few occasions during our stay. The bartenders are friendly and do a great job. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice place! All is clean, quiet and comfortable. Rooms are small, but we didn't mind. Fantastic breakfast buffet included in the room price. Wonderful location with many public transportation options close to the hotel. We would choose this again. Family friendly!

I also managed to find some board games and books in the business area. The bar area with snacks is always open. There is no room service, but I was easily able to order restaurant delivery using the foodora website. Very impressive. Could not quite adjust the in room temperature to my liking, but was too content to snuggle in bed to bother staff about it. I found the service helpful and friendly, and enjoyed my stay immensely. I would welcome the opportunity to stay again in Berlin.

We expected to be able to park here only to get here and find out that they have only 26 parking spots for over 300 rooms. My husband had to find a spot several blocks away. Traffic was horrible and no place to park to check in. Room I guess is ok. It is small for sure. Major street right out front and train going by every 15 minutes so it is really loud with the bells and car honks etc. I wish I would have read the reviews for this place so we could have stayed somewhere else. This will for sure dampen our time here in Berlin. Glad it is just one night .

4 of us stayed here for 4 nights prior to a Baltic Cruise from Warnemünde (to the North). It is a great place. It is not high luxury so you may wonder why the 5? It just hit all the top end for this type of hotel for me. The rooms are clean and have more space than typical European hotel rooms. Comfortable beds. We were on the street side and I feared too much noise from the street but their double paned windows kept the room quiet. Berlin was terribly warm. In the 90s. We could not get the temperature to go lower than 16C no matter what we did. We don't complain so it's not their fault it wasn't addressed. It was still comfortable. The breakfast is the best I have seen at a Hampton anywhere. It's great and will last you late in to the afternoon. There is a bar there too. I will warn you that the hotel desk staff are not concierge staff and some of them give you very poor or absolutely wrong directions. You may have to ask more than once for clear instructions. The location was perfect. We like to walk and we walked everywhere from here. But it is well served by bus and tram so not worries. Plenty of shopping nearly too!! There is a big mall in a rose colored building right down the street from the hotel. I would stay here again.

Beautiful hotel in the center of Berlin. 20 min. by train from the airport and 200m from the famous Alexanderplatz which overlooks the TV tower in Berlin. Upon arrival the welcome is warm. A fitness room on the lower level of the hotel is also available 24 hours a day. The quality of the rooms is extremely good, the beds are comfortable, the maids spend every day cleaned the room without complaints. A TV with more than 100 channels is also available, it is also possible to connect your own mobile phone. The East Side of the build overlook the "Mercedes Bank" building as well as the Bundesstrasse while those on the west side overlook the little green area surrounding the hotel. For the lunch of superb dishes are available from 6:00 to 10:00. There is something for everyone, sausages with cassoulet sauce, Gauffre nutella, delicious croissants and chocolate bread. At the drinks level, all types of coffee are available, but also orange juice and apple juice. It is also possible to eat on site at lunchtime and for dinner. For my part I have not tested these variants, nevertheless given the quality of the lunch I certainly think you will not be disappointed. A guide at the entrance of the hotel will find you the right excursion on days for your free time. If I can summarize I would recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to be close to the city center and transportation but also looking for comfort and high standards. A specially charm keeping a social room and a computer room, very kindly.

Don't be misled by the 3 stars! This is a lovely and competitively-priced hotel in an amazing location! The staff was very helpful, welcoming & friendly. The beds were comfortable & always my favorite thing about Hampton Inn's. The room was clean and homey. The free breakfast is another major reason to pick Hampton! Breakfast here was decent & had a wide variety: yogurt, cereal, bread, cheese, etc; make-your-own waffles, scrambled or boiled eggs, bacon, & sausages (that seemed a bit undercooked)...but the "hot food" in general was only luke warm. A few very minor things...The shower's soap dispenser was empty...and there was no soap for the sink. The showerhead was detachable and if the cord was even slightly twisted, the whole bathroom floor got soaked! The thermostat in our room was stuck on 18°C (63°F) but felt much warmer with very little room for adjustment. Our story: We arrived late & the room was pitch black. We didn't see the slot by the door to use your room key for the lights. In the darkness we fumbled around looking for a light switch and hit a random button on the wall that started flashing red, alerting the front desk who called us immediately instructing us to press the green button next to it twice make it stop... In the middle of the night, an agonizingly high-pitched alarm woke us up and we couldn't find its source. It stopped after a couple mins...The next day, nearly 12hrs later, the alarm began again. This time it did not stop, we called the front desk and a nice man came up to turn it off....By pressing the green button twice?! The room has 3...THREE emergency alert methods (2 foolishly placed buttons and a pull cord in the bathroom). I have never seen anything like it. One button is by the bed, above the phone, exactly where you'd reach to turn out a light. It's red with a little man on it. A matching red one is on the wall by the foot of the bed...right where you have to shimmy sideways to get between the wall and the bed. The green button I mentioned earlier (that you have to press twice) is next to it...aside from the staff telling us what it was, or how to use it, we'd never have known.

This hotel is exceptional as soon as we walked in it smelled clean and everything seemed brand new. I love staying here, it made me not want to go sightseeing the concierge Fernando Garcia was very friendly and explained everything to us. He spoke English and Spanish perfect And was able to help us get around the city. The hotel has everything from renting bikes to selling transportation tickets to everything else you need. In the evening if you've been sightseeing all day and you just want to get snacks and a drink at the bar you can just sit at the bar and relax. The hotel lounge area is so relaxing it has about 7 flat TV with different channels. We saw several different age groups during our 5 day stay. The receptionist was very friendly and professional. They gym is an adequate size. The complimentary breakfast is delicious, from the. Offer to the juices Waffles, cereal hard boiled eggs, breads yogurt etc. Almost everything for everyone's tastes. Also this is just a few minutes walking distance from Alexanderplatz. It's right next to the holiday in express. The only bad experience was when I asked for extra linen for the sofa bed, the person who came into my room to make the sofa bed had an awful body odor it was awful. When he left I had to open the window because the odor lingered for about half an hour. But I'm in Germany maybe that's acceptable here. Lol. Anyhow I hope this review helps travelers who want to stay here.

We stayed in this hotel for 9 nights in mid-June 2019. Very nice hotel with an excellent location. The breakfast is top notch and the staff are extremely friendly. While I'm sure you can stay in fancier places or suites somewhere in the area, this hotel is perfect for the traveler who will be doing a lot of sight seeing and not hanging out in the room.. the rooms are small but they are clean, but really only for sleeping. Good value
