Yelp
We stopped in being fans of coffee and were greeted by the barrels of coffee beans and a warming coffee aroma. Oooh, I don't even think I was that big of a fan of coffee, but that smell made really curious to see if this coffee was going to be different. It was good to very good. We had the breakfast blend (the lighter of the bunch) from the self serve thermoses.
They hand roast all their coffee, so that's very cool.
We had lunch there. Being Mexican I'm always so curious so hopeful that I will have good Mexican food. I ordered the chicken enchiladas for $15.95 (see pix). I think it was the highest priced item on the menu. It came with freshly made tortilla chips (unfortunately today they were a little undercooked and still a bit oily, but I'm hoping that was today) and salsa. Unfortunately, there wasn't a ton of flavor in either the salsa or the red sauce that was on the enchiladas, but it was fresh and good, not great. If you are a real connoisseur of Mexican food, this may not be your top choice, but I don't know if you are going to get much better in Southampton area. They have a few Mexican items, but I would likely stick to the American style breakfast items. My Annie had the lentil soup and sandwich and she said it was just ok for $8.95.
The service was nice, upbeat, speedy and attentive. The ambiance was open with lots of light through the big windows.
I get the feeling that we are becoming foodie snobs, since we seem to be able to find better food for more reasonable prices in the city. Sorry all, but we don't want you to think that this place is bad, but I think there are a lot of places in the city (Manhattan) quite a bit better. Man, that feels weird to write, but I think that's how I feel.
Yelpers! Help us out! Yelp more places out here around Southamption will ya?!
Thanks!
