Overall, the hotel is okay, well-maintained, and ideally located with plenty of dining options nearby and within walking distance to the Hollywood Walk of Fame. However, I found the staff to be somewhat less than welcoming. The breakfast, while decent, was basic and repetitive, so if you're staying more than one night, it could definitely use some variety. I recommend seeking advice from the parking attendants instead of the reception staff, as they are polite & provided much clearer and more helpful guidance on directions and to see options nearby. Make sure one is aware of the parking charges, which are $50 per day with in-and-out privileges—something they don't mention until you see the charges on your bill. One issue was with the water fountain—it required service, and the water had an unpleasant taste, which could be improved for guest convenience.

My husband and I stayed at Hampton Inn & Suites Hollywood for 6 nights in September 2024 and enjoyed our stay. The staff we encountered were friendly, professional and helpful. Ray was especially nice and she answered all our questions and suggested places to eat and visit. There was also a gentleman (we didn’t get his name unfortunately) who was very helpful when it came to extending our checkout time. The room was spacious and clean, and the mattress and pillows were amongst the most comfortable I’ve ever experienced in any hotel I’ve stayed in. The complementary breakfast, although not my personal preference, was fine and plentiful. The hotel had all the amenities we would expect, although we did not get a chance to use the pool or gym. The hotel is centrally located and in easy distance to Hollywood attractions. We never felt unsafe walking around the area in the evening, but I can understand why some who are taking a solo trip may feel that way. We, therefore, liked the fact that you needed a room key to access all floors (except the ground floor) in the lifts. It made me feel more secure. We had to pay a deposit on arrival but this was refunded/released very quickly following our check-out. We would definitely recommend this hotel if you are planning to stay in the area, and we would stay there again if we visit the Hollywood area again in the future.

I stayed here for 7 nights. The hotel as a whole is well maintained and clean. The staff were friendly and courteous. My checkin experience was slightly delayed due to the machine that activates room keys malfunctioned. The breakfast buffet was basic but met my needs. It could have benefited from some variety on the food served. For a short stay, this isn't an issue, but for week-long stays, you start not to look forward to the options. The house cleaning crew was great as well. They worked on a fairly predictable schedule and kept the room tidy. My only concern was the smell of smoking. While the hotel is smoke-free, people still smoked, and you could smell it in the hallways, elevator, and near valet stand.

Cute hotel. Definitely ok. But the value for the price was not there. Friendly service - over text messages - during your stay; the in person did lack a bit the warmth and friendliness you’d expect. Room was not necessarily well maintained. A cabinet door on the desk did not close properly and was borderline more handing from the furniture. The water turned black twice in the bathroom that my friend said. And there was a smell when the water of the shower was running. Overall, the location was the best thing about this hotel.

Absolutely terrible service. Check in line took forever and they clearly aren’t staffed appropriately. The day we got there the key card system wasn’t functional so we had to rely on being escorted to our room. They never actually told us or put any sort of indication up when it was fixed and instead we had to ask. One of the days we were there the fire alarm went off around 7 AM, people mentioned seeing smoke in the hallway below us, and the fire department never came (I’m assuming the hotel never called them but who knows). They didn’t have the staff give us any sort of update. It seemed very sketchy. The biggest kicker (besides the absolutely asinine price of parking there) is that we were told upon check in that we would need to request maid service any day that we wanted it and they don’t default to providing it daily - so we intentionally did not request it and put the do not disturb sign up as we had sensitive documents in the room. They randomly came in anyways. I was extremely upset about this and have attempted to contact the GM multiple times and they have blown me off and failed to call me back. Horrible service, horrible hotel, wont be going back. Oh and the breakfast sucked.

I was thoroughly pleased with my stay here. From the location, to the staff (especially the very nice valet attendants. Everything about it was wonderful. You know a place is awesome where one of the days they had strawberry flavored waffle batter. I would absolutely stay again in the future

Excellent place with comfortable rooms great location and an exemplary staff. Mr Biz, Manuel and Paulos at valet took excellent care of us and Ray and Upoma at the desk where friendly, courteous and efficient! The crew in charge of breakfast did an excellent job. I would hire every single one of them. Definitely going back!

the valet guy emmanuel he is so nice and welcomes you with a smile, gave us recommendations where to go. service was great too everyone was nice and rooms where clean, with free breakfast included. will come back and stay in this hotel again
