Hampton Manor is a fantastic spot if you’re looking for a countryside escape with a bit of luxury. Tucked away in the quiet village of Hampton-in-Arden, it’s close enough to Birmingham for convenience but feels like a world away. The setting is beautiful, with well-kept grounds and a peaceful atmosphere that makes it ideal for a weekend getaway or a special occasion.
The hotel itself is a mix of historic charm and modern touches. The building has real character, with its grand manor house feel, but inside, the rooms are stylish and well thought out. They don’t feel stuffy or overly traditional—more of a boutique, contemporary take on country house luxury. The little details, like the high-quality bedding and well-designed bathrooms, make a difference.
One of the standout features is the food. The on-site restaurant, Grace & Savour, is an experience in itself, with incredible attention to detail in both the ingredients and presentation. If you’re into fine dining, it’s worth the trip alone. The service throughout the hotel is warm and personal without being over the top, which adds to the relaxed but high-end feel of the place.
If there’s a downside, it’s that the hotel is quite small, so availability can be limited, and it’s not the kind of place with loads of facilities like a big spa or gym. But if you’re after a quiet, intimate stay with amazing food and a bit of countryside charm, Hampton Manor is hard to beat.
