Interior was nice with two floors of seating and you can see the cooks making your meal. We had several dishes and were ok. Nothing special in our opinion. Service was subpar. We were not offered refreshments and while placing our order the waiter begins to walk away assuming we’re done ordering. Had to call him back to complete our order to which he replies “that’s a lot of food”. Won’t be back.

We love Han noodle bar. They were great near Dog Town and only got better at the new location. They are great at getting you sat down, menus ready and have kind service. We went here recently for my wife's birthday dinner. We had a wonderful older waitress. If you like noodles, rice, fresh ingredients, and a good atmosphere. Han noodle is a great option.

At the new location very modernized and upgraded. Still get to see them using the food and attentive service. Food was good with larger portions.

Crab Rangoons are not how they use to be. Mostly cream cheese your eating. Use to have way more flavor. Didn’t need the sauce years ago. Or they’ll barely have filling in it and it’ll be mostly fried dough. Do not order BEEF dishes from here. GROSS. Except the orange beef. But it’s Mostly fat, flavor lacks and they make this cornstarch beef gravy or whatever that ruins my appetite after one or two bites. Texture and flavor is so bad. I ordered the beef tendon (was in the mood something like beef stew) I was sorely disappointed. Last 5 orders were like this. (Ive tried different dishes each time) I use to love this place food use to be wayyyyyy better years ago. Stop making your beef like that please.

Huge portions!! Sharing plates is recommended. Everything is delicious specially the lemon cake !! Quick service, super fast. Pictured is the duck appetizer, scallion pancakes and pork bao.

We love this place. The food is so fresh, you can taste it, and fast! The prices are good.

First time eating there with 2 adults and 2 young kids, we had very bad experience. The menu was big and looked attractive so I needed to take time checking it, but the lady asked to take menu back like every minute. My food came very fast but didn't taste good at all. The beef noodles soup had no flavor, barely tasted salty. The noodles were way to soft. The clay pot was warm, not HOT. We were not told that the fried chicken and rice was covered with sauce (not stated on menu neither), when I saw the food, before I even said anything, the lady right away told me that we cannot refund the dish... Last my bill was $47, I took a $50 bill from my husband. As I was trying to calculate how much with tips and looking for coins in my purse, the same lady kept asking questions like where we came from and what we wer doing in Rochester etc, then she picked up the $50 saying it was not enough tips ... Honestly I wanna give a zero star instead, will never go there again!

Update 5/2025: still one of my go-to spots for takeout. I'm chronically ill so I'm not up to cooking at home very often. My partner will lovingly order food to last 2-3 meals for each of us every week or two. Everything we order is very gentle on my stomach, yet still has flavor. Food is a bit inconsistent but good if you know what to order. Love the crispy tofu. Service is great, but parking can be a bit chaotic when they are busy if you plan to drive.

Yelp
Great service Fast Efficient Respectful Would definitely recommend if you're not from Rochester

Yelp
This is the best Thai food I have had in Rochester, but would not have known to come here if I were just driving by. My parents told me about it. The taste is so authentic and the flavors are perfect. They also complete your order very fast and accurately. I had the pad Thai with tofu and for a moment I was unsure if the tofu was really tofu due to the way it looked. It was definitely tofu and was prepared perfectly! During my next visit to Rochester, I will be stopping here for sure. I highly recommend you try this. If you are in the area I have included some pictures of the outside of the building so you will know what to look for.

Yelp
PHENOMENAL meal. Chili pepper chicken was amazing. Bursting with flavour and very spicy. Noodles had a delicious steak flavour, having been thrown on the grill. Chicken dumplings were excellent. Fried squid was delicious. Love the decor of lucky cats. Very friendly service. Highly reccommend.

Yelp
The weather was too cold to go out so we had our order delivered. I ordered the Shrimp with Pecans which was very tasty! The shrimp was jumbo! I will definitely order again from this restaurant and hopefully be able to dine in the restaurant!

Nancy N.

Yelp
Excellent food. The freshest veg spring rolls I've had ever. Also the sesame tofu was perfectly cooked! I've found my new go-to Chinese restaurant.

Yelp
Great little noodle place I've enjoyed several times. They really do focus on noodles and you get a fresh, inexpensive, varied, and flavorful menu to choose from. It feels a little like a tiny eatery in Manhattan and the service is fast.

Nathan S.

Yelp
I really liked the shrimp spring role. I got the mapo tofu and that was not very good. It was hardly spicy and didn't seem to be made with szechuan. I didn't feel the numbness in my mouth that mapo tofu is supposed to. The atmosphere and service were very good.

Yelp
They moved down the street to a bigger space. It has a large mural when you come in and a lot of seating. They seem to have a great take out business. Food.. depending on what you get can be absolutely stellar or a meh.. also what restaurant is closed on a Wednesday? Our server was pleasant and efficient. The Crab Rangoon was fried hard.. it finally grew on me amd they sweet chili sauce was tasty. The Dan Dan Noodles were presented beautifully and everything was hot and fresh. But it was just hot and no umami I was kind at a loss. My husband got the Szechuan Chickrn with fresh veggies and the chicken was tasty and came with rice. The do bring you water but if you want a soft drink it's in a can with a straw. Since at this location we have ordered from them for delivery and it's online ordering only don't call in to order., I'll give them 3.5 outta 5 They have a small parking lot

Yelp
As an out of towner, I will say if I lived here, I'd be here weekly. From what i understand this is a newer larger location for these guys, and that's a good thing - more people can sit and enjoy the amazing food. We tried the dumplings, steamed buns and various entrees - and everything was fantastic. And to round out the experience, service was friendly and very accommodating (family member with sesame allergy) - and the food came out really quick. Fun vibe and relaxed casual setting. Just note - no liquor here - but it's BYOB - we'll make sure to bring a nice bottle of sake next time (and there will definitely be a next time!)

Yelp
Been here several times and it's always consistent! The food is yummy and fresh. The tendon soup and schezuan beef soup are really delicious on a cold day, and they are not stingy with the meat. The one new item I decided to try today was the braised pig trotters, which is pigs feet. It's boneless, and full of yummy flavor. It's made in a sweet and sour sauce and pretty tasty; a bit fatty but also full of collagen! Service is great, friendly wait staff. Ambiance is very modern!

Yelp
Really nice new location, lots of seating and quick service. Great tofu options for vegetarians as well! We got the curry tofu and the Chinese eggplant with tofu in bean curd sauce. The curry tofu was solid, we only got it mildly spicy but it was still flavorful. The eggplant with tofu was the favorite of the night! Salty and delicious, the eggplant and tofu are both cooked really well and go together very nicely in this dish.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place, but I was very underwhelmed by their pho. The pho was just fine. The broth wasn't flavorful, and as others mentioned, the noodle size and texture was a bit off. I ended up dumping all of the sauce they gave me into it and still needed to add my own sriracha to make it detectably spicy. They did do well with my allergies, thankfully. I ordered to go, but the ambience was pretty busy and people seemed to be having a good time. In all, I wasn't too impressed, but maybe I got the wrong thing. I might visit again to try something else.

Yelp
We ordered online, and I'm gluten free, so this might have taken away from the experience. My food was all pretty bland. I got the Dan Dan noodles, and they didn't have much flavor. They had a numbing sensation, which might have come from spice. I also got the hot and sour soup, and again, it was a little sour, but not as umami as other hot and sour soups I've had. And it wasn't spicy, which was unusual. My fiancée got sesame chicken, which was good! And crab rangoons which were also pretty good! The egg fried rice that came with the chicken was lacking seasoning. The steamed buns he got were also good! I would like to sit in at this restaurant and see if my experience is any different.

Yelp
We ordered the spicy diced chicken noodle soup and dan dan mein... the noodles were soggy and over cooked, and both dishes were rather bland. Everything tasted like there was missing something and veggies could have improved both dishes... preferably not soggy cucumber, which was not tasty on hot dan dan noodles.

Yelp
Super authentic, super quick, and super yummy. The service was great but I did feel slightly rushed to leave (maybe because the space is small?). Otherwise, I had a great dinner.

Bette S.

Yelp
Health score 70! May 2025. Called today to ask to speak to owner since l have been ordering here quite a bit for years. Around 2 oclock lady who answered phone said Tony no longer owns Han Noodle. She said owner does not want his name given out! Just an FYI for all. So sad but l am done with Han Noodle. Google search said owner Dieyu Wu.

Yelp
The food here is good and the prices are fair! We got a ton of food and everything tasted good. The portions were fair and the flavors were good.

Yelp
Han has moved to a more commodious space down Monroe. We usually do take-out but tonight we decided to dine-in. There are tables downstairs opposite the open kitchen and an entire dining room upstairs. Four of us sat upstairs on a Friday evening. They do not take reservations, but we were seated immediately. The service was excellent and we were served promptly after we ordered. There is limited parking on the side of the building and along the side street as well as Monroe Avenue. We ordered steamed and fried dumplings. Both were excellently cooked. A special was a deep fried and spicy Sea Bass. It is enough for two. The sauce was essentially a spicy sweet and sour. The Dan Dan Noodles were so fresh and cooked perfectly (yum). I like extra spicy and it delivered. There was a shrimp special that night as well, we ate every bite. Singapore Mei Fun rounded out our meal. Han is BYOB.

Yelp
Good Chinese food place. They offer great amount of options from noodles to rice dishes. I got pork noodles and szechuan chicken. The noodles soup was great, wish it has more veggies in it. The chicken wasn't spicy which I was a bit disappointed since it shows spicy on the menu. Parking lot is small. Staff are friendly. Restaurant is clean. The main door look a bit weird in my opinion. Price is reasonable.

Jayda W.

Yelp
One of the worst take out meals I've ever had from this place, honestly, I was shocked. They are normally one of my absolute favorite places in town. The kimchi dumplings were cold and served with a half teaspoon of sauce in the container... Enough for one dumpling. The gai lan was almost raw, barely steamed, and therefore bitter, swimming in a watery sauce that was nothing but salty. I threw it out. The steamed pork buns were fine, but overly salty. They must have had a substitute cook the night I ordered. Really awful. I hope this isn't a new pattern and it was just a bad night.
google avatar

Yelp
Food was amazing. Service was fast price was good. What else can you as for? Very fresh food with good spice Will definitely be back to try something else on the menu.

Yelp
Noodle Bar? I think not. I ordered the pho and the noodles were of two varieties. None were the traditional pho noodle. Aside from the texture, the noodles were over cooked. The broth lacked flavor. The broth was not hot enough to cook the steak, a big no no. They did not have the Huy Fong sriracha sauce which is another no no. Their sriracha sauce was more of a Korean hot sauce and literally made the pho broth much worse. The MaPo tofu with pork was just spicy and lacked flavor. The Szechuan chicken was too salty and numbed my taste buds. The hot and sour soup and pork lo mein were pretty good. However, I expected the lo mein noodle to be fresh and chewy as this restaurant has the misnomer of "noodle" bar

Yelp
We've had several fantastic meals here. The dish we're currently enthralled with is the Firecracker Fish. First, where do the crunchy pepper rings come from. Second, what is that heavenly spicy crunchy substance at the bottom of the bowl??? Yummmm!

Yelp
Another killer meal. Food came out so fast, it's so fresh, so flavorful, so delicious. This is quickly become a house favorite

Yelp
My first trip to the new location and I was very happy with the atmosphere! The food was excellent as usual. Very fast service the food was fresh and sooo tasty! Def try the hot sauce on the table- you won't regret it. Prices are very reasonable. I'll def be back for more authentic cuisine. I just wish I lived closer.

Yelp
Went here recently and the restaurant was busy but service was excellent and so were the lo mein and rice noodle dishes. Very clean and nicely decorated in Chinese tradition too. We will go back again for sure!

Yelp
Wow, my first review was from 2013, I always say " I need to get to Han Noodle" n then don't. Finally visited on a blustery day, it was cold, I asked the server if the apparatus above us was a heater and she seemed confused. Ordered the squid bokchoy, it was really tender. The hot and sour soup was good. Pad thai also good, nice color and tamarind tone. I ordered the fish with ginger and scallion, I was a bit disconcerted when it came with a bunch of veggies I wasn't expecting. With some explanation a plate of fish with just ginger and scallion was brought forth.

Yelp
The spicy miso chicken noodle soup was fabulous... A little different than what I expected based on the description on Uber eats so I'm not sure if that was an Uber eats error or my error in ordering. The description read " fat white noodles" but that was not what arrived. Regardless, the broth was fantastic and the little sauce that is put over the chicken and vegetables added another layer of the flavor that was delicious

Yelp
Our bill for the table came to $136 including tax we gave $20 tip, they changed the tip on our bill to $199!! We called and apparently the waitress accidentally changed the tip and they processed a refund. The food was nasty and had no flavor! One of my friends politely asked for a different meal because she didn't like it and they wanted to charge her full price for a meal she had two bites of! Then the waitress tried to take the credit card back with her after we paid! In the end it was not the best food or service.

Yelp
Food 10/10!!! Service 10_10!!! Lauren was our waitress and she was fabulous!!! Found the Spice we were looking for from AZ- unforgetable food! Go here Look no further :)
google avatar

Yelp
Service was quick and our waitress was attentive. Nice little restaurant clean and modern. I like that they had a kids menu. My 9' year old got the noodles and dumplings. It came as a soup. She enjoyed it. We had pork buns too. We will be back!

Christina P.

Yelp
Sesame Chicken: 1 out of 10- no flavour, gummy breading. Cashew Chicken: 0 out of 10. Gummy and flavourless. Singapore Mai Fun 0 out of 10. This was incredibly horrible. Super dry noodle, dry powder covering the noodle, it tasted like Ramen noodle packets from the $1 noodle meals at the grocery store. Really disappointed in the quality of this food. It got 1 star because the food arrived hot and the portions were good. Never offering from here again. Already have it too many chances for improvement.

Londa J.

Yelp
The food was the best noodles I have ever had and the service was quick and they were extremely nice the mood of the restaurant was like dark modern theme
google avatar

Yelp
Very nice ambiance. I'm giving 3 stars because either the cook or the server committed a major mistake. The orders weren't timed--mine came out first and my guest's order followed minutes later.
google avatar

Jhamyce L.

Yelp
the food was good pretty expensive if u dine in the server was nice until i gave her a 6$ tip she told me thats not even 10% and claimed she wasn't racist and had a attitude the rest of the visit smh
google avatar

Corey C.

Yelp
Service was friendly and quick. Food came out shortly after ordering and was fresh and delicious. I ordered the Sichuan spicy chicken and some pork belly rolls. Everything was excellent.
google avatar

Roshan R.

Yelp
Dan Dan Noodles - 4/5. The cucumber in the dish tasted weird but the sauce was on point. I am not an expert in Dan Dan Noodles but I always received thinner noodles when I order this dish from other restaurants but here it was too thick. Not a fan. Curry Tofu - 2.5/5 Very basic yellow curry with some veggies and tofu. I liked the way tofu was cooked. The mushrooms in the dish wasn't fresh for sure and that was off-putting.
google avatar

Anthony L.

Yelp
Everything I have ordered has been tasty and satisfying. They have unique and interesting flavors on traditional dishes.

Rickey M.

Yelp
food was tasteless, never going back there. I got Szechuan was bland. My friend got a noodle dish and it was horrible.
google avatar

Ingrid S.

Yelp
I ordered on Uber Eats! Everything was tasty! Of course I ordered way too much. The pork belly steamed bun was great and the scallion pancakes delish and not soggy.
google avatar

Quincy D.

Yelp
I've been going here for about two years and let me just say I have been satisfied every time with their food. I always get the tofu lomein which is the perfect amount of fried so it soaks up the sauce. I will say it is in a slightly sketchy spot but trust me, the inside is gorgeous. I mostly get take out but I have eaten inside and the service is amazing and surprisingly quick. Overall, keep it up Han Noodle Bar!
google avatar

Jordan H.

Yelp
What Happened??? This used to be my go to place but ever since they moved locations the food has been subpar. I ordered the chicken and broccoli and it came with 4 small pieces of chicken. Mind you, this meal used to cost $10.50, now it's $16 or $17. Make it make sense..
google avatar

Nina T.

Yelp
Went with a few friends on a Tuesday. We all enjoyed our meals and our server was friendly and attentive. Also, our food was ready amazingly fast.
google avatar

Yelp
This family restaurant has a friendly vibe and is open for lunch , along the Monroe Goodman corridor, I found Brueggers closed at 2pm.. they made me feel welcomed. Dining alone can feel a little bit lonely sometimes, but I needed something to eat after a Covid shot at Walgreens. I was a first time customer and found the perfect lunch and good service: I had hot and sour soup and fresh Spring rolls with peanut sauce, with green tea. Generous portions of delicious food, prepared to order, at a reasonable price. I'm surely going to return. They have a ramp for handicapped access. Parking on the street is unmetered. Meanwhile they will deliver with Grubhub and DoorDash.

Yelp
I have been a loyal customer since Han Noodle Bar first opened. I love the variety and quality of their offerings. Good food for very reasonably priced food. Good place for groups or eating alone. The staff is always great. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Paul C.

Yelp
We always loved Han Noodle in the old location and were excited about their new spot. Last night with three diners, steamed bun was OK shrimp and squid app looked and tasted like tater tots. Dipping sauce was totally flavorless. Our three entrees were totally flavorless, that is NOT Chinese cooking! Pad Thai looked and tasted like diluted spaghetti sauce, inedible. We felt we were rushed the whole time even though the place wasn't half full. It appears to be a rush assembly line kitchen, which takes up half of the first floor, last place it fit in a phone booth. Very disappointed, wont go back. Plus expensive for poor food!
google avatar

Yelp
Terrific food! We ordered from Han Noodle Bar tonight, as we wanted something different. Han is always a great choice! We started with the pork belly buns, which were soft, steamy buns, with the most tender, unctuous piece of pork belly inside. A touch of sauce, and some scallions finish it off. Delicious! The fresh spring rolls we had next were amazing. Very fresh, with crisp fillings, and perfectly moistened rice paper wrapper. The dipping sauce was light and flavorful. I had the Dan Dan Mein, which is the soft white noodles under a flavorful Szechuan-style pork sauce. I requested extra spicy, and it was perfect. Just the right amount of heat, balanced nicely by the numbing sensation from the Szechuan peppercorn. My partner had the Singapore Mei Fun, also extra spicy. It was loaded with chicken, shrimp and pork, and perfectly seasoned. Overall, everything was extremely fresh, hot, and perfectly seasoned. I'm never disappointed when I choose Han Noodle Bar, and highly recommend it!
