A wonderful introduction to Northern Thai cuisine. We ordered the khantoke, and it was excellent—beautifully presented and full of deep, comforting Lanna flavours. Each dish felt thoughtfully prepared, from the curries to the accompaniments, and everything paired perfectly with the sticky rice.
I was curious about the famous ant dish, but honestly, I couldn’t really taste the ants themselves—nothing overpowering or strange at all. What stood out instead was how balanced and approachable the flavours were, even for someone trying this cuisine with fresh eyes.
Add to that the warm atmosphere, local character, and the restaurant’s consistent Michelin recognition, and it’s easy to see why this place is so well regarded. A must-visit if you want an authentic khantoke experience in Chiang Mai.
