London’s New Restaurant Openings - London - The Infatuation

"Hanbaagaasuuteeki’s menu has a self-aware nod to the smashburger craze sweeping London with their ‘another double cheeseburger.’ But this Asian-inspired spot in Victoria has a menu that’s far from run of the mill—think kimchi burgers, Isan burgers, miso-loaded fries, and togarashi popcorn." - sinead cranna, rianne shlebak

Hanbaagaasuuteeki is in a fantastic location, just a couple minutes’ walk from Victoria Station. I ordered the miso fries and the kimchi burger, and honestly, this is one of the best smash burgers and best burgers overall I’ve ever had. The miso fries are to die for, incredibly tasty, and the burger was extremely filling and amazing value for money compared to so many other places I’ve tried in London and around the world. The service was outstanding. I got to meet the famous Jackson, who knows a lot about each burger and which one to go for, especially since there are so many great options on the menu. Every time I come back, I’ll be trying a different one. The place is spotless, and the service is quick and efficient. I can already tell that in a couple of weeks there will be queues outside, so it’s best to get there now and try them all while you can. Totally amazing. 10 out of 10 🙌🙌🙌🙌

My partners exact words. “This is the best smash burger I’ve ever had”. - GM is super friendly and explained about the history of the place and the culinary knowledge behind the burgers. - The Asian/American fusion works perfectly! The miso fries were to die for and had toppings throughout the chips which is unusual for Ldn. - Had 4 burgers whilst we were in there. The fried chicken is next level. Ask for the matcha chicken burger if it’s not on the menu, you won’t be disappointed. - Decor is super cool, great value for money. Get in here before all the influencers do

I tried the Isan burger, which was nice and well balanced but the Shrimp Kong baga burger was disappointing due to an excessive amount of sauce that completely overwhelmed it and made it quite sickening. The kimchi fries were very nice flavour-wise, but again spoiled by far too much sauce, which made them heavy and unpleasant to finish. Overall, interesting ideas, but the sauce levels really need to be toned down.

I stopped by this smash burger spot and was seriously impressed. The patties were perfectly crispy on the edges, juicy in the middle, and full of that classic, rich flavor you only get from a true smash. The buns were soft and fresh, the toppings were balanced, and the sauce brought everything together without overpowering the burger. I would definitely recommend the “shrimp kong baga” without any doubt my favorite! Very good twist between Asian and Burger… never seen before!

Heard so much about this place on tik Tok and Instagram I thought I would pop in as has a meeting nearby and my colleagues decided to join me so us three chefs trooped off to try it. The menu is super interesting and really eye catching. Lots of different options from the usual smash burger concept. Its a small place that mainly takeaway, not a place to linger. I had the isho burger, miso loaded fries and water. My colleagues had the same burger, the kimchi fries and the padron peppers. The service was fast, everything was hot and the fries were super crunchy. The burger was decent. A solid smash burger, but there was absolutely not enough heat from the chilies and only a hint of Thai basil. The quality of the ingredients is there but it needed more punch. If I'm in the area I will try the chicken burger next time as that sounded very good too. But all in all not worth a special trip but if you have a hankering for a quick good quality burger this will hit the spot.

100% coming back here! The burgers were really good and juicy and the flavour was soo good. They look like the type of burgers you see in advertisements but real. I got the Kimchi burger and I really enjoyed it The fries were also really good. I got the miso loaded fried and they did not disappoint at all. Honestly the value is also decent. This is a very good double patty burger for £11. Also the limited menu was very refreshing to see. It felt like an example of doing something simple but doing it really well. Lastly the person at the counter was also super nice and give me a bottle of water free.

Absolutely amazing burgers!!!! I had the burger with shrimp in it and was blown away by the delicious and original flavors. The miso fries were also unreal, unlike anything I have tried before!! The man at the till was so lovely and welcoming and had amazing recommendations! Absolutely loved this place and will be coming back soon!!

Saw this place on instagram and decided to check it out. Tried the double cheeseburger, which was a simple smash burger done well. All put together nicely from the bun to the condiments. Nothing special but it’s a tasty simple burger. Also tried the Miso loaded fries which were really tasty. Had the fries been fresh and hot, they would’ve tasted even better. Mine were a little on the colder side but the flavours were still excellent. All in all, seems a nice place with a unique twist on many menu items and I would return to try some of the other burgers. The service from the staff was great too!
