The 20 Best Restaurants In Cape May 2024

"The lower-key sister spot to the huge and perpetually packed Two Mile Crab House (about two miles away over the bridge in Wildwood), H&H is our go-to fish market for buying a dozen blue claws or some fresh fish to grill at home. The market also sells family-style seafood bakes with Old Bay-covered shrimp or steamed lobsters, plus to-go tubs of the same ceviche and house-smoked seabass dip they’re slinging at Two Mile. BYOB and stake out one of the picnic tables for a waterfront feast. " - regan stephens, candis mclean, sydney mcelwee, tonya russell

Google
A great place to get fresh seafood!! Highly recommend any of the boils - especially the shrimp boil. They have FAST service and the food is deliciously fresh and the ambiance is exactly what I'd hope for when chowing down on fresh seafood! It’s BYOB so bring a small cooler with a few drinks if that’s something you like!

Google
Nice outdoor area to eat them in front of the beach. The prices are reasonable for a tourist area. Although i wish they would offer more variety on the ways to cook food; not just steam everything and serve as it is. Overall I give them 4 starts

Food is always amazing. Visit every year for fresh seafood during the fireman's convention. They NEVER disappoint!

Google
Great place for fresh seafood- shrimp, oysters, clams, crabs. Nothing fancy. Be ready to use your hands and dig in. Outdoor seating only with view of the water. Also must for seafood lovers. This is the way I prefer to enjoy my seafood.

Audrey Miller

Google
A tasty take on a classic steamed dish with a side of chunky she-crab bisque and smokey seabass dip. Enjoyed the meal on they're spacious deck under a perfect sunny sky 😎

Google
Came here to celebrate my birthday dinner and had a great time! All the seafood was excellent and everyone enjoyed their meals. We got crab, lobster, shrimp roll, lobster mac n cheese and my non seafood eating brother got the pulled pork sandwich. Location is great too! Love dining by the water.

Julie

Google
Great place to sit outside on the water for seafood. No inside seating. Very casual. Only reason I am giving them 4 stars is because other restaurants have “real #1” or large crabs in stock and H & H never does. I’ve been going year after year for 13 years and they are pricey but besides the crabs everything else is delicious. The work you put in to eat the crabs isn’t worth the price. I also wished they cooked some other items like soft shell crabs but they only sell certain things live and uncooked.

Google
Tuna did not taste fresh. We ordered three tuna poke bowls. The corn on the cob tasted too fishy. We were later told they boil the corn in fish water 🤢. The menu did not state the corn was boiled in fish water. Rice had coconut in it but did not taste so good, nor stated on the menu. I mentioned it to the waitress and a waiter. Staff not so friendly. I told the owner about it, but she just sounded surprised, and said I should have said something. Strange since I did say something. I hope we do not get sick. So disappointed since my son was there a few weeks ago and asked us to try it, but he had lobster and stated it was very good. I was expecting it to taste good as well, but all of us were disappointed this time.

Yelp
Hands down the best place to go to during the summer. Me and my fiance will always, forever and always come here at least once a year during the summer. The ambiance and the view is priceless alongside with the unlimited blue claw crab feast?! The people are nice, the place is clean and friendly. The food is amazing, blue claw crabs are always fresh and easy to crack. The meat is sweet and tender, their lobster bisque was pretty good as well. Though I found it a bit salty it still complimented our endless crawl of crabs. The price seems to vary depending on the year, but I will always tell people that it is worth it ! We usually go through 3-4 dozens of crabs between the two of us. Yes it's crazy but honestly you can't tell how much you've eaten until the end !

Yelp
Fantastic food in a super relaxed outdoor seating atmosphere! We ordered shrimp, little neck clams, crabs, she crab soup, and corn bread. Everything was fantastic. If you're wanting to get your hands dirty with excellent steamed seafood at reasonable prices, this is the perfect place to go. Service was great. You have to put in your order at the counter and then they bring your food out to your table. You may want to plan for an early dinner here to beat the dinner rush!

Yelp
I'm not always impressed with food here. I like other places better in the area. Sometimes the food is great and other times meh.

Yelp
My party of 11 arrived around 6:30 and the wait time was around half hour. Our appetizer of crab dip came out fast. It was ok and salty. Maybe due the large number of people, our main orders we waited quite a long time. Everyone enjoyed the fresh seafood. The shrimps were big, the half pound scallops were served in a basket I recommend bringing a jacket or sweater because it was very windy and cold.

Joe C.

Yelp
This place only has covered outdoor seating. It's open air so bring bug spray to ward off the bugs, especially around dusk. We came around lunchtime, so bugs weren't a problem. You order from the window and they bring out the food when it's ready. Everything is basically self-service including the water. We ordered the she-crab soup, shrimp, crabs, and oysters. The shrimp was perfectly seasoned and cooked. The oysters were huge. And the she-crab soup was tasty and each spoonful was full of crab meat. We ordered a dozen large crabs. I felt some of the crabs were undersized, but what do I know. I attached a picture for you to judge for yourself. Someone grabbed a crab before I could take this picture. That's why it's short one. But look at the crabs in the second row from the bottom and the crab in the middle of the second row from the top. We've been to many crab places including places in Delaware and Maryland. I have to say, the crabs here are the best we've had! Super tasty, super juicy, and super sweet! Simply put, every dish we ordered was just amazing! This is now our top place for crabs and we would definitely come back here if ever we want crabs.

Jhie Y.

Yelp
Nice ambience. Good and fresh seafood all the time. Service okay. Happy to be back every summer. More option and added food on the menu. Will recommend to seafood lovers there.

Yelp
We stopped in to get 4 pounds snowcrab legs. We had them steamed there. The steaming was fast. While we waited for the legs to be steamed the staff was great in helping us figure out the name of a pizza place in town. Great Service, Fresh Food, and decent prices.

Dennis M.

Yelp
Overall this place is solid. I did AYCE snow crab legs and the quality of crab stayed the same through all 10 clusters. My partner had female blue crab with I believe their own house old bay type seasoning and was also done perfectly. Places like this heavily depend on the quality of seafood and this place definitely keeps it up to par. Service was quick and each time I asked for refill on crab it was brought to the table almost immediately. The restaurant is right in the marina so you're eating all around boats and water. It is sort of a divey place, but it delivers. Food: 8.5/10 Service: 8.2/10 Ambiance: 7.9
google avatar

Michal R.

Yelp
Came here for lunch after a morning of fishing. We tried all the soups, scallops & shrimp in old bay seasoning with side of corn, garlic crabs, snow crabs, mixed seafood. Everything was delicious. Staff and service were good. They keep the place clean. I would go back.

Yelp
Was curious about this place and finally made it there. Had the lobster roll which was enough for two meals and we also ordered a poke bowl which was delicious. I loved the vibe right on the water and found it to be a good value although it seemed steep that a little cup of clarified butter was $5. Only other "but" was that it would be helpful to have more than one bathroom. Would go back here for sure!

Yelp
If you are looking for service this is NOT the place. Figure it out for yourself to find yourself a dirty table and wipe it down. Wait and get an "are you stupid" look from the waiter when you tell them you are ready to order because you are supposed to order by the counter "over there." The start was just as bad as the whole food and service experience there. The food is mediocre and just not worth the ridiculous prices. The crab pot is $190 but the amount of food is deceiving. The oversized corn with peels still on decorate the bottom and their stack of trays covering the top. If anything was good, it would be their sides, which they actually forgot to give and I had to ask for after more than halfway through our meal. When I went to go ask for the sides, the waitress looked at me with funny eyes and sarcastically asked if I had ordered. I had literally just said that my family is halfway through our crab pot and still has not received our sides. She gave me a look of stupidity and with no apology just said "well talk to her then" pointing to the register. Everything but the sides (coleslaw, cucumber salad, and corn bread) was just a huge disappointment after coming from New York for a visit. I would not recommend.

Yelp
Sitting on a dock eating fresh steamed crabs and steamed clams, raw clams etc. What's not to like.

Stacy B.

Yelp
I just discovered this place for crabs. Wonderful place. The crabs weren't #1's, although I paid for #1's. But they were delicious and reasonably priced. I'll never go to the Crab House again when craving crabs - only H&H Seafood. The atmosphere and accommodations are what you'd expect for dock side dining.

Yelp
A friend looked up where to go for dinner & did she pick a winner!!! ( never gonna hear the end of this...but it DESERVES PRAISE)!!!! 1. Call ahead, thank goodness we did, the person who answered told us the wait time & when it gets busy... IT DOES NOT TAKE RESERVATIONS..... 2. It's a BYOB 3. Nothing fancy, but it's the season of flip flops!!!! 4. REMEMBER, you have to order @ the window....the server will then seat you... 5. She will then bring your food shortly after... All that said....the food, service, atmosphere was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!! The raw clams were sweet, along the the delicious while lobster, & local blue claws!!!!! I can't say enough of the best seafood I had all week on the Cape!! You won't be disappointed!!! AND...SPECIAL SHOUT OUT TO HEATHER!!! YOU WERE SO AWESOME & HELPFUL TO MY FAMILY!!!

Yelp
Hands down one the best local places to have legit seafood. It's byob which makes it even better. We had a large group and tried pretty much enriching: crabs, lobster, lobster rolls. The crab bisque was amazing. It isn't an upscale place but it's nice to sit outside and dive into the seafood and get your hands dirty.

Yelp
Love coming here at least once a summer. Delicious crabs with a beautiful view. If you are looking for AYCE crabs, this is the place to go to! ***In a rush? Skip to the end for my tips.*** Whenever I go, we always go for the AYCE crabs, which always seems to be the best option. However, when we went recently, we did some calculations and came to certain conclusions. Wanted to share this insight for your future reference. -When we went, it was $42/person for AYCE (market price at that time). To get our money's worth, each person had to eat at least 13 crabs or more. I barely managed to eat 13. -We probably could have gotten a dozen of the #2s or female crabs, which were $42/dozen and gotten more variety and female crabs tend to taste better. -The problem with AYCE is also that you will often end up with the crabs at the bottom of the steamer, which means you'll get a lot of overcooked, mushy crabs. Obviously with AYCE, you could choose to not eat those while looking for a fresher one. I did find quite a few overcooked ones in our batch. -Also, you start off with a big tub of crabs, so at first, everything is really good because they are piping hot, but after your first or second crab, you end up with cold crabs. This didn't bother me too much, but I know that this could be bothersome for some people. -So, if you are able to eat a ton of crabs, AYCE is a great option, but if you think you will be eating less than 13 per person, it's better to get a few dozen and get better quality crabs, especially the female crabs. Or get the family style seafood bakes for more variety. We also had other food and everything was good, such as: -the poke bowl (if you don't like coconut, you might not like it because the rice is a bit coconutty and sweet, which is not authentic, but it was still good!) -lobster mac-n-cheese -shrimp and and scallop ceviche -crab dip with tortilla chips -all the sides are always good Once seated, service is always quick, which is always a plus. So, if you are looking for a quality crab feast, this is the place to come to. Be ready to relax and fill your belly with delicious crabs. Tips: -You have to wait to be seated and then once you have a seat, you order at the window and pay after you are done eating. -If you want to order more food, you could do so at the window. -Bummer that there are no free refills on soda. -It's BYOB. -Parking is a bit limited, but we always found parking inside their lot whenever we came. -While waiting, it's always fun to check out their storefront for live crabs and maybe entertain your kids for 5 minutes. -If you are coming later in the day, there are a lot of mosquitoes, so I suggest spraying yourself with bug spray beforehand. We always forget until we are getting bitten alive. -There are always plenty of paper towels to clean your hands as you eat, but I always bring wet wipes with me so that I make less of a mess. Bathroom Tip: There is one bathroom, all the way to the left of the order window. There is also a sink to wash your hands outside the bathroom if that's all that you need to do

Yelp
I ordered a Dozen #1 cooked crabs. This was my third time the first was great 2nd ok but the third I ordered Dozen #1s I got bunch of rejects all the claws were off and most of the legs. They were small and dirty. I called they said we gave you extra, I said I wanted a dozen #1s not 18 #2 with all there limbs off. No satisfaction. They must keep the nice ones for people who eat there.

Yelp
Stopped here last Saturday September 9 2023. It was a last minute stop due to our regular place having a changed menu. Food was okay, but not fantastic. We ordered steamed lobsters and Old Bay shrimp. Lobsters were good but a bit tough. Also, No Utensils or picks were given to get to the meat. You got a nutcracker and then help yourself to the cheapest plastic forks around. These are not conducive to eating lobster. I understand this is mainly a seafood market but the onsite eating conditions could use a bit of help. The cornbread we ordered was good & the corn on the cob.
google avatar

Yelp
Great place to visit and stuff your face with delicious seafood. You basically get to order by the pound or they have a mix of items available for you to pack if you're in a group of two or more people. The combos are way too much food for even two people as we learned. Any place that you go to that has tables stocked with rolls of paper towels you know it's gonna to have some good food. If you're looking for outdoor dining space this is the place to get your seafood on. The lobster was so delicious and fresh I would go back just to order more lobster. I wasn't crazy about the sausage it seemed a little dry. The clams, the shrimp, the corn, the potatoes it comes with potato salad or coleslaw on the side as well were all delicious. corn bread was phenomenal very buttery and warm. They had a special that was a Philly pretzel with crab dipThat I'm dying to try next time. This is the best low-key, good food, easy breezy, no fuss, weekend kind of place. Definitely looking forward to another visit in the future sometime.

Yelp
Amazing!! Can't wait to dig in! Friendly staff!!! And SUPER CLEAN!!! The picture is before the destruction of the food. Lol everything tasted fresh and was really good. The cucumber salad and the potato salad was really good. The potatoe salad wasn't creamy it was just right!!!! :) would definitely come back again!! We ordered the right amount. I would post the aftermath but didn't want to turn anyone away lmao Seating was great too! We sat by the water! They also do rentals for paddle boarding and kayaking! They also have a mini market! Ahh everything was great. Was not a great fan of the lobster Mac and cheese but the family pot and the others like raw oysters and crabs were DELICIOUS!! Love the fact that your plate is a good tray! Lmaoooo :) thank you!!!! :) if you are down here just stop by you won't regret it!

Yelp
Beautiful view with mediocre food. Came here for the lavish reviews, but gotta say... very underwhelming. First of all, we didn't even have our own set waiter. We were never offered drinks, and we had to wave staff members down to get cups & utensils. My family and I split lobster rolls as an appetizer, which were very bland. I also bit into a lobster shell. Tasted the she crab soup, which was pretty good. Everything else was pretty gross. Under seasoned muscles, under seasoned shrimp, and very small crabs for what was advertised as "large" though pretty good. I got the tuna poke bowl which was probably the worst thing I could've picked. The coconut rice was undercooked, the avocados were weird & rubbery, and the overall flavor took after the sweet seaweed salad. I did not taste any hint of the "wasabi Mayo." The tuna was fresh, and that's about the best I can say about this poke bowl. Would definitely look for other seafood places first before returning to this one.
google avatar

Christina R.

Yelp
Amazing and fresh AYCE blue crabs for only $32. Plenty of crabs come out all at once and you are probably going to be satisfied from just one big tray. They fill it with plenty of claws and legs too in addition to dozens of female crabs. Meaty and a good size. There is no table side service. They bring out the crabs and you're on your own after ordering from the window. It's BYOB but only for alcoholic beverages. They sell you water and soda. There is no comp tap water. The outdoor seating is great with a nice view of docked boats and kayaks that they rent. Side of corn is a little pricy for $2 but it's ok. Bathroom needs updating and decluttering.. Will return!
google avatar

Heather K.

Yelp
The freshest seafood I've ever had! They bring in all the local seafood caught fresh each day right from their own boats. Open 7 days a week
google avatar

Aaron H.

Yelp
Poor service, dead crabs, bad attitudes, and do not recommend. Two mile is a better choice and atmosphere.
google avatar

Brad V.

Yelp
Really nothing special Menu is very limited, I'd say if you wanna do all you can eat crabs, this place is where to go but otherwise not so much They don't allow dogs outside, that's another major negative. Crab dip - 3.5 Steamed clams - 3.5 Value - 3.5 Service - 3.5
google avatar

Jimmy J.

Yelp
Outstanding. Just outstanding. Stopped off at this little nondescript place in Cape May and everything was fantastic, fresh, and delectable. We started with the crab dip and tortilla chips. Boy, it was crushed quick. Everybody loved It and the whole chunks of crab meat was awesome to see. Next we got 50 little neck clams which were steamed fresh and looked and tasted great. Then I got a crab poke bowl with sauce on the side (so the baby could have some) and my wide got a ahi tuna poke bowl. Oh my gosh it was so good. We are only down here for a week and I'm considering going back again just to try more stuff from this place. Definitely recommend.
google avatar

Jess O.

Yelp
Exactly as advertised, miss when there were more places like this down the shore! Planning on returning many times.
google avatar

Joe E.

Yelp
Get there early for dinner (before 6:00), even on weekdays, or you'll be waiting a long time for seating. Reminds me of many seafood joints in the Florida Keys -- a small operation that catches what it sells, and sells only what it catches. Very informal, with picnic tables and window ordering. The crabs come in a big plastic tub, and they are a bit of work to shell and eat, but very fresh and tasty. Side orders are good as well. Shellfish are expensive when served there -- but you can order the same items to take out from the adjacent fish market for half the price, and they'll charge you a flat fee of $5 to cook everything. Very courteous staff. I think we'll stop by on our last morning to pick up some crabs or oysters to take home.
google avatar

Mercedes C.

Yelp
We always make it a point (especially visiting coastal towns) to find a seafood dive to get down and dirty. The last time we came to Cape May, we stopped at a seafood shack-tried to look for it, but for the life of me, couldn't find it. Nothing fancy here, it's super, super casual- enough to come here with sandy toes. H&H popped right in my search and was convenient to hop (not that it mattered) on the Garden State Pkwy to head home. Large pebble driveway/parking area and sits directly on the water. Menu options are written on a Blackboard right next to the counter. Includes steamed Crabs, Scallops, Lobster and Shrimp, Salads and Sides.......oh and Desserts. We settled on a cup of Crab Chowder (wasn't the best I've had). And 'superb' doesn't do justice to the Lobster Mac without the "Cheese"! Seaweed Salad, Steamed Oysters and Shrimp heaped with Old Bay... delicious. Plus a dozen crabs to bring home with us. So here's the thing: place your order at the counter, sit where you want, each 'picnic table' has a number then only thing left to do is enjoy getting dirty. After you're finished, head to the counter mentioned your table # and pay. Service was nice and prices for this area, weren't totally outrageous but weren't rock-bottom either. I'll remember H&H next time, we got very good taste and especially, seafood freshness and service was friendly. With the exception of the Crab Chowder, H&H was good deal overall.
google avatar

Jessica L.

Yelp
A cute outdoor place by the Marina. There's a lot specific to h&h, make sure to park there instead of the harbor view restaurant lot. We had a party of 5 and waited around 20min for a table. They have ayce blue crabs for $36/person. We opted for just a dozen for $42 instead and the two of us could not finish. I got a bowl of the clam chowder it was way too salty. The corn bread was good, more of a cakey style and pretty sweet. The whole experience was more fun. They even had some local produce for sale there $5 watermelon and such. I think you can also buy raw seafood by pound in the store. My favorite part of the meal was using the little hammers to crack open the blue crab claws.
google avatar

Dee M.

Yelp
Many improvements since 2017. Dockside dining orders are now taken at the outside deck. No more mile long lines in the hot, humid store. Really pleasant staff at takeout. Outdoor deck is still amazing.

Ellen H.

Yelp
Great staff they have the best lobsters. They will steam them have a good selection of fish clams oysters and crabs
google avatar

Allie R.

Yelp
Great spot just outside of town. They serve only seafood they catch so everything is always super fresh. They have plenty of options for non-seafood eaters (buffalo chicken dip, pulled pork sandwich, chicken salad sandwich...list goes on), which is always greatly appreciated. The atmosphere is chill and it's byob!

Yelp
This place was not bad. Food was decent and the staff were courteous. DO: - Enjoy the view of the boats coming in and out of the water - Wait to be seated - Wash your hands before you eat and after you're finished - Respect social distancing even if you don't believe in it. DON'T: - Sit and wait to be served - Leave light and loose things around, the wind will blow it into the water (seen napkins and a menu go into the water while we were here) LOBSTER MAC & CHEESE: 8/10 Pros - Tasted fdelicious, I would recommend this dish just on taste. Cons - Stingy on the lobster, its like buying a can of pork and beans... 1 piece of pork lol. Not worth $12, would downgrade to the regular mac & cheese for half the price. POKE BOWL: 9/10 Pros - Tasted awsome. Tuna was good, the sauce they swirled on top of it was a nice touch, seaweed salad was bangin. Portion size was decent for the price. Cons - Garnishing game needs a little work, throw in some shredded carrots, pickled pink ginger, and cucumbers. I promise you the colors will make this dish will pop and people are going to want to have it. Umm I don't know what kind of rice that was but it's not asian. CRABS: 9/10 Pros - The way the herbs and spices that were layered on top of the crabs... oh my gawd, very appetizing. Tasted great. I don't use the hammer but its there if you need it. I use something old school, called hands. Thanks for the extra crab lol. Cons - If you don't like to be messy, this isn't for you. This was a labor of love, I think I lost weight due to the combo from the heat and working to get the meat off from these crabs. JUMBO SHRIMP: 9/10 Pros - Taste was good, especially when you squeeze the lemon on top of them and dip it in the sauce. I like that they serve it in a small net lol. Cons - Was it worth the price? EEhhhh I'll give them a pass. Maybe since its the 4th of July, the reason for these prices, or maybe it's just me.

Yelp
Recently visited H&H seafood for dinner. We had been there several times in the past for both dine in and take out. I ordered the Snow crab which was about $45. When the girl placed the snow crab down, she spilled the butter. I went up and asked for a replacement butter and was charged additional five dollars. I didn't complain about the very young girl spilling the butter nor did I complain about the five dollars. It was the principle. The prices are extremely expensive for the type of restaurant. The service was ok but certainly not great. I'm insulted that they would charge me five dollars when they spilled the butter. Next time, I'll go back to two-Mile where the service is better, ambiance is nicer, prices are same and MOSTLY they don't nickel and dime you.
google avatar

Marcia K.

Yelp
Not worth the stop. The food is the same price as others nearby but not as good. And there is no service. You order at a window and have to go back if you need anything else. Part of our order never came. We were told it would not be on the bill but it was. The soup was awful. It tasted like canned spaghetti o's. The crab was dry - either over cooked or frozen and recooked. Too many good places nearby to bother with this one.

Yelp
I hesitated to rate this a 2 because a 2 out of 5 seems harsh, but Yelp says a 2 means "could've been better." I agree. This place was disappointing. Listen, I'm not looking for a dockside restaurant to be anything special, but I just wanted good, flavorful food. This was not it. People eating there seemed to enjoy it though, so maybe I am missing something. The appearance of the place was fine. The staff was very nice. It is probably a family-run place. The problem is the taste of the food - very bland, overcooked, and sub-par. My wife and I ordered mac & cheese, oysters, red-skinned potatoes, half-pound of shrimp, and a crab pretzel (a daily special). The pretzel was good. Good crab-dip flavor, and a nice, sort of sweet pretzel. I would get another one, but everything else was not good. The oysters were small and very mild in flavor. Maybe this was how this type of oyster was meant to taste, but I don't know - benefit of the doubt, I guess. The mac & cheese had to have been reheated in a microwave. (We saw them using microwaves to heat up sides when we were checking out.) The shrimp were small for their described size, lacked seasoning, and were over-cooked to the point of tasing rubbery - not chalky, but they were getting there. There was a fair amount of condensation under the shell. I suspect they were microwaved to reheat them, BUT I saw a lot of boiling pots for lobsters, etc., so maybe the shrimp were steamed fresh. The potatoes were just steamed without anything to accompany them - just plain potatoes. They were good as that, but they were just the definition of bland. Fair enough: they gave you butter, sour cream, and salt and pepper. So, in short, I was disappointed - pretty darned disappointed. I would go back again, if someone else was paying, just to give them one more chance, but I would feel like I'm wasting my money pay again. I'm not saying avoid this place. Give them a shot, if you want. Just know what you might be getting, and expect bland, likely-reheated food.

Yelp
Go early; little to no wait. When we left here was a long line. Next to marina. Hostess doesn't walk you to the table, nor tell you that you have to order at the window. Food is under seasoned. Your table runs out of space quickly with all the trays. Overall, good meal; 4/5.

Yelp
I actually enjoys this place as this was our third time back this week. As usual we order an assortment of dishes. Last year when we ordered, the steamed clams never arrived. I figured it was a fluke, no not the fish but an accident. Well this year again, I order steamed clams and some crab legs. Everything else comes out relatively fast, but still hodgepodge not together. We waited a good 30 minutes +, with two toddlers at their wits end, so finally I gave up and went to go pay. I let them know we didn't get to dishes, but miraculously they were just coming out right then. I would've eaten them, but the two kids had enough and there's no way they would've let us enjoy it, so why bother? The prune face cashier let her feelings be known visually. Hey how about letting customers know not everything comes out together and somethings might take 45 minutes. I think it would solve a few problems. If you don't have kids and you don't mind waiting and eating things randomly since nothing comes out together this is definitely a good spot

Yelp
One of our yearly pit stops. Love the food but hate how staggered everything comes to the table. Two years in a row, we've gotten all of our food except the clams and crab legs that came 20 minutes after everything else we ordered with no warning at all. Really frustrating. Soups are all packed with flavor. Corn bread is yummy as heck. Crab dip and ceviche are our staples. We'll be coming back, but probably not ordering crab legs or clams in the future.

Yelp
Ordered 6 items on the menu and unfortunately not one of them had any flavor. Raw oysters and clams were one of the dirtiest, flavorless and poorly shucked full of shells. Spit out half due to flavor. Very different spin on NE clam chowder that tasted like vinegar for some reason. Cooked shrimp were the only edible item for us and again zero flavor. Also eaten alive by bugs on the patio. The staff was nice however blamed me for not telling them sooner about the poor quality after I told 2 staff about it already...lesson learned and hopefully others have a better experience than us.

Yelp
A party of three ordered an all-you can eat crab and tuna poke bowl. Rating would be higher as the crabs were good size, full of meat, and very fresh. The tuna poke bowl was over $20, and the avocado was so hard it ruined the dish. We asked for ripe avocados, and instead of letting us know that they ran out, they gave us rock-hard avocados again! In this case, they should have offered more tuna or something to substitute. Overall, friendly service, and we would go back if we were in the area again.

Yelp
What a fun spot for a meal! Casual picnic tables but attentive and organized staff. Food was yummy-loved the crab soup and scallops! Everyone enjoyed the corn bread, slaw and shrimp boil. We had a ton of food and the kids liked looking at the activity in the water. Try it!

Yelp
This place was very disappointing! From the register people not being friendly! The food was even more disappointing, shrimp were so overcooked they were almost inedible! Super hard and rubbery! The corn wasn't fresh, very overpriced for what you get!

Yelp
Take out cooked crabs were overcooked and mushy and it wasn't the first time. Ate on the deck once, ordered #1 size crabs, and several were #2's. They gave us a half dozen extra #2's to make up for it. Still, not happy. We wanted what we ordered.
