18 Premier Wineries With Excellent Food in Napa Valley

"Though Handwritten was founded more than a decade ago, its Yountville tasting room only opened in 2020 and winemaker Rob Lloyd’s experience is extensive. He worked for Cakebread, Stag’s Leap, and La Crema, before joining the Handwritten team. The Bread and Butter experience ($100) puts butter on the pedestal it deserves, with three types on offer — an Amish cow’s milk butter with sea salt, a goat and cow milk blend from Petaluma, and an all-goat milk version from Wisconsin — to taste alongside the wines — a sauvignon blanc, pinot noir, and three cabernets. With white truffle potato chips, bread from Bouchon Bakery, coppa salame, and P’tit Basque cheese, it’s like a savory afternoon tea time but with wine." - Dianne de Guzman, Laura Smith Borrman, Eater Staff

Handwritten wine is some of the best wine I've ever had. Their tasting is elegant and so informative. The ambience is beautiful and gives an old world luxury vibe. The tasting pairings offered were delicious and the perfect touch. We have been a few times and will definitely come back. Highly recommend.

Google
Our host, Amy was amazing!! We learned so much about wine and food. The cheese was the best I have ever had :)) The wine was delicious and she helped us understand the pairing of wine and food and how they compliment one another. This place deserves 10 stars!!

Google
We visited Handwritten Wines recently and had a fantastic experience! I have been to Napa several times and this one stood out. The bread and butter tasting was amazing - got to try several great wines and the bread and butter and truffle chips were so good. The tasting room is upscale but also feels cozy and inviting. V was our host and I cannot recommend her enough! She was great and really made our experience memorable.

Google
We had such an amazing experience at Handwritten Wines!! Our wine ambassador, Amy was great! She taught us so much about wine and food. I would highly recommend this winery!!

Google
Absolutely amazing! Lovely little boutique winery in Yountville. They aren’t located on a sprawling vineyard but the wine is top notch! Bill was our host and he was very knowledgeable. The tasting is very educational, much different than the tourist trap wineries. It is also in a great location!

Google
Great, personable service. We loved our whole bread & butter experience from start to finish. Had some chips, crackers, bread, different types of butter, and one type of cheese along with prosciutto. For all the wines we got to try and the private room that it was set up in, we thought it was worth the price! Would definitely come back and bring my family and friends.

Google
One of the best tastings I’ve ever done in California. Each wine had something unique about it. I became a member and look forward to lots of lovely wines in my future.

Yelp
What a fun experience and awesome wine to enjoy! Thank you Evan for sharing generously with us and for educating us on these wonderful wines !

Yelp
My friend and I had a great experience here with Amy Oden. I had made advanced reservations on Tock for the Bread and Butter experience on a Friday for two at 1:30. Right when we walked in we felt welcomed. The place, decorated elegantly and intimate with both indoor and outdoor seating. Our table was all set up with a beautiful custom handwritten "Welcoming" specific to our party with a wax seal... nice touch! We ordered the Bread and Butter Experience which included 4 wines, white truffle potato chips, Cheese Straws Bouchon Bakery baguette, three artisan domestic butters, Salame, and Cheese and of course the wonderful hospitality from Amy. I would definitely come back when in Yountville. Atmosphere: elegant and intimate. Service: excellent. Food & Wine: excellent.

Yelp
At Handwritten Wines, visitors can expect not only exceptional wines but also a remarkable service that enhances the overall experience. The winery specializes in red varietals, particularly Cabernet Sauvignon, which are celebrated for their complexity and depth. Each wine is a reflection of meticulous vineyard management and thoughtful winemaking, aiming to express the unique characteristics of their vineyard origins. I do enjoy the refreshing Sauvignon Blanc. They also offer their special Champagne Guilleminot, it was perfect for a 95 degree hot day like this. The tasting room itself exudes a warm, welcoming atmosphere, adorned with touches of vintage decor that complement the rustic elegance of Yountville. The staff at Handwritten Wines goes above and beyond, offering insightful stories behind each pour, which adds a personal touch that resonates with visitors. They are adept at tailoring recommendations to individual preferences, ensuring that each guest finds a wine that speaks to them. THANK YOU Evan for the love and putting up with our old ladies silliness Beyond wine, Handwritten also offers a selection of artisanal food pairings that are carefully selected to complement their wines. This thoughtful approach to pairing enhances the tasting experience, allowing for a full appreciation of how food and wine can interact beautifully. For those looking to deepen their understanding of wine or simply enjoy a leisurely afternoon in a picturesque setting, Handwritten Wines provides a memorable and enriching experience. So on your way back from Howell Mountain, Calistoga, Spring Mountain, or St. Helena, this tasting room in downtown Yountville is a perfect spot to include in your wine country trip. Their commitment to quality and hospitality makes them a standout destination in Napa Valley.

Yelp
Handwritten leases properties across diff regions of Napa and makes delicious wine. Their tasting room is in downtown yountville with easier parking in the back for their customers. They provide custom menus for each tasting group personalized with visitors names and all wine poured to breath before guests arrive. Ive been a member for several years now and always appreciate their service, nice ambiance and variety of wine. All tastings also come with the amazing truffle chips from spain (complimentary) - it's one of my favorite chips. The bread and cheese tasting is an experience esp with the beautiful flower cheese they have. The butter is also quite rich and it's a treat for sure to taste three diff kinds of butter (2 cow, 1 sheep). My favorite wine from there is rutherford and howell mountain. Heard they will not be making rutherford any more but will come out with an oakville one next year. For fun, they also have two small tables at entrance where you can send a handwritten postcard to someone. It's cute service. The hosts are all well versed in wine and they sometimes do special pours not on tasting menu, so u maybe able to try a splash of something before you buy. This time we went up, we tried the champagne, the author (sauvignon blanc), a pinot, two cabs. They also poured the 2011 stag's leap and 2010 napa for us to try after. Enjoyed it and got the napa - aged already by them and ready to drink for me.

Yelp
An amazing wine tasting experience in Yountville! We came here on a Friday afternoon (with reservations) on Father's Day weekend and it wasn't too crowded. The tasting room was beautiful and it was decorated with a classy, elegant touch. Our party of 3 got the Bread and Butter Experience ($100) since some of us don't drink alcohol and it was SO WORTH IT. I never knew about the different flavor profiles of butter until this experience. The butter provided isn't like any butter I've ever tasted before; It had so much depth and bite to it. My family and I started ordering different butters from overseas because of this experience, actually. As for the bread, it was so fresh and flavorful. The tasting also included free truffle chips and parmesan crisps that complemented the wine well. The wines were delicious and they gave generous pours of each one. The hosts here really know their stuff and know how to cater the wine experience to their customers' tastes. Our host was Virenda (V) and she was amazing. She knew her wine facts to a T. She was also very kind and made sure that we were enjoying our tasting experience. If you're looking for a tasting experience while in NorCal, please check this place out!

Yelp
Excellent and warm service from all staff especially Vi! She is amazing! I brought guests from NE and they had a great experience. The wines are delicious and the pours are generous. Our Bread and Butter Tasting experience was perfect! The private room provided great ambiance and privacy especially since my daughter has a newborn. Overall a great experience! Can't wait to return!

Yelp
One of my favorite wine rooms in Napa!!!! Stumbled across this hidden gem on Yelp, and booked it based on previous amazing reviews. I wasn't expecting much, but I was blown away by the entire, intimate experience. The staff is incredible- they gave us such a warm welcome, had my last name printed on the brochure (and re-printed for us with each of the girls' names on it), and at one point during the tasting, pulled up a chair to sit and talk with us. Their knowledge was extensive on the winery and I appreciated the visual materials (eg. map) to help understand this wine region. The wine itself tasted great. It was pre-poured for us, so we had plenty of time once our party was seated at the table (very organized experience). We had champagne, and white and red wine; the hostess gave us samples of extra wines she wanted us to try. We did the bread and butter tasting- which I highly recommend. It included 3 different butters (cow butter, goat and cow butter mix, and goat milk butter), white truffle chips, breadsticks, salumi and sausage, and cheese. The Istara P'Tit Basque cheese was phenomenal- I even ordered some once back at home (from France). All 3 butters were exquisite as well, and paired so nicely with the wines. We felt so welcomed and wanted, and had such a great time at this wine room. A sweet touch at the end of the experience was the ability to write postcards to loved ones from the winery! Would recommend everyone visits here, you won't regret it!!

Yelp
Amy Oden made our experience extra special! She hosted us as well as our kids and we had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was great and the wine is spectacular. We ended up joining the wine club and buying a bunch of fantastic wine! We're excited to enjoy it soon. We will definitely be back! Thanks again, Amy.

Yelp
We had a solidly good experience wine tasting here recently. Our host was Zeke. We love talking about wine and the whole process of making it. Zeke knew so much about wine. He was a great host. We had fun and really enjoyed the wine. We enjoyed the extra pours that were tailored to our taste. The atmosphere was really nice. Cute little home-like ambiance.

Yelp
What a gem. I've seen HW during my many trips to Yountville, though I'm ashamed to say I haven't been in until just recently. And wow, was I missing out. Stopped in for a quick splash as I had to head back to the city - but wishing I stayed longer. Stepping in, the atmosphere is calm yet vibrant. In the side room, shades of taupe and wood are accented by deep, rich blues. The plush seating gives a hint of luxury without overwhelming the room. V is a remarkable hostess. She has a great energy and is incredibly knowledgeable. I asked for her pick, and she suggested the 2012 Oak Knoll Cab. I have to say, the Oak Knoll is impressive. Full body with notes of cherry, wood, tobacco. Deep ruby color, higher than middle tannin (though that first sip is rich). Let it breathe a bit if you can. One of my favorite CS I've had, and really showcases the quality of the '12 Napa harvest. Will definitely be back for a proper stop. Put this on your list (but let me book my tasting first)

Yelp
We can't say enough about this place! Evan was the perfect host! He shared his knowledge without being know-it-all-esque. The wines...oh boy! Definitely go for the Bread and Butter service. They do have gluten free crackers available for this and they were delicious! We had the corner table with the couch and it was so comfortable. We will be back!

Steve O.

Yelp
We had a wonderful time with V! We were promptly greeted into venue with a beautiful smile and a cool refreshing glass of wine. It was the perfect first impression! V, our host, expertly described and delivered the spectacular wines. The Bread and Butter Tasting was by far, one of the best parings we have experienced out of many different experiences in the Wine Country. This place is a must visit for anyone who appreciates Good Wine, Good Food and Great Company!

Yelp
We had time before a wine tasting appointment so we came here and asked if we could just buy a bottle and sip on it in the cabana area. Amy was so welcoming and we loved the cabana - nice and cool and perfect to watch the world go by. We got a bottle of the sauv blanc and it was perfect for sipping on outside. We would love to come back again!

Yelp
This review is long overdue. My wife and I have been members for about two years now. We happened across this oasis by total accident one day after quitting a nearby winery for repeated bad service and mediocre offerings. Our first experience was a walk-in tasting with Zeke. He was fabulous. Knowledgeable, friendly, and a real professional. Their products were outstanding and Zeke just kept bringing it. Our tasting lasted almost three hours. We were sold and immediately joined. Since then we have been back no less than two dozen times (luckily we live only an hour away). The decor/ambiance is classy and elegant without being pretentious. While we normally will schedule a tasting, there have been a few times we have just stopped "just for a glass." Two to three hours later, we are walking out. The staff, and I think we have had everyone at some point, have been great. They are SO friendly, and SO accommodating, I just can't say enough good things. "V" and Amy are my heroes every time we go in. They are down to earth, easy to talk to, and know the industry backwards and forwards. Just two weeks ago five of us had a scheduled tasting for my wife's birthday. We did a tasting earlier in the day down the street that was a heavy tasting of reds, so we asked for just a tasting of whites since we had a big dinner scheduled for later that evening. "V" was a bee to accommodate our request and even "whipped up" an unscheduled treat for us to eat while tasting. If you get a chance, do the bread and butter pairing. It just brings a great experience to a new level. It is totally worth it. We have brought numerous friends and family for tastings and 100% have joined. This is a must stop if you are in Yountville. I can't wait to go back.

Yelp
Opted for the Classic Experience for 3. I liked how all of the wines were pre-poured so we could enjoy at our own pace and taste/compare the different wines side by side. The tasting also came with the most amazing truffle chips and flufa crackers, which paired so well with the Cabs! However, we also decided to add on the Bread + Butter Experience, which comes with 3 different types of butter, sourdough bread from the Bouchon bakery nearby, prosciutto, and cheese. This really elevated our entire experience there and took it to the next level! Highly recommend at an additional $25 pp. They do waive tasting fees if you purchase any of their wines. Although we didn't purchase any of their traditional wines, we did go home with some champagne we got to try at the end, which was absolutely delicious, although not produced by Handwritten. Location is great and it's on a busy street in downtown Yountville. Super close to all of the big bakeries. The interior is also beautiful and gives off a cool modern rustic feel. Plus, definitely take advantage of the cute mail station at the front, where you can fill out a postcard (or 2) and then they will send it out for you!!
google avatar

Yelp
Probably on of the worst places in Yountville. They do not let you split tasting or have a DD who doesn't drink. $75 to not taste the wines? So unreasonable. Do not go here. So many other places close by that are so much better and friendly and nice. Skip this please. Its terrible. Splitting a tasting is normal. Its a rip off.

Yelp
Handwritten is a cute little wine tasting room in Yountville. They specialize in red wines but have a pretty diverse selection of whites and reds. We had their Sauvignon blanc blend, the Chardonnay, the Pinot noir, 2 Cabernet Sauvignon, and the champagne. These came with truffle chips and a bag of buttery flaky pastries. We liked most of the wines and they were excellent compared to most of the better Napa wineries. Our host was super friendly and knowledgeable and walked us through our wines to see what we would like best. At the end of the tastings we walked out with 4 bottles of the champagne. We had a great experience and definitely would come visit here again.

Yelp
The new tasting room is beautiful, the wine stellar and their butter board and charcuterie was amazing. Can't wait to go back.

Yelp
For selfish reasons, I almost don't wanna review this place so it doesn't get overrun by tourists and we can keep it for ourselves. But gotta give props where due. I've tasted at a TON in Napa over the last 10 years and value for money vis a vis quality of experience- this place takes the cake. Prices are reasonable by Napa standards, tasting fee is waived if you buy bottle minimum spend (also reasonably priced), and they serve you library wines. The entry level tasting at most places will serve their latest release (3-5 years old). The basic tasting at Handwritten serves 10 year old Cabs. If Vi is pouring for you, consider yourself lucky. Best customer service ever. She cares a lot about what she pours and it shows. Imho, Handwritten beats a lot of the fancier, more popular Napa wineries in terms of a good quality time.

Yelp
Handwritten is amazing! The wines are great and the staff is very knowledgeable and very friendly. This is our second time visiting (the first time we became members). The Zeke, Mary and Amy treated us like family and we appreciate it. If you get the chance, ask about their Bread and Butter experience! You won't be disappointed.

Sabrina S.

Yelp
Such a favorite...ticks all the boxes. Pair she well with all personalities. just lovely.

Yelp
I came here recently to celebrate my sister's birthday with the Bread and Butter Experience, and what a wonderful experience it was, thanks in large part to Matt, who was a terrific host from start to finish! He was friendly, funny, and informative, and he set the tone from the start, seating us by a heated lamp on our cold morning visit and offering us blankets for additional warmth. He also made sure we were comfortable from the get-go, letting us know he'd be around as much as we'd like him to be, whether a lot or a little, and that he could even stand back farther for more socially distanced space between us. We started off with some white truffle chips and a bag of some sort of pastry from Switzerland to go with our first flight of wines (Sauvignon blanc, Pinot noir, and a blend for our first flight, Cabs for the next one). Next came sliced Bouchon bread with three different kinds of butter, and finally some fancy sliced ham and cheese. Everything was good, but my favorite was the bread and Buffalo milk butter. As for the wines, I prefer white and sparkling so I enjoyed the first flight more and went home with a bottle of Sauvignon blanc. (We also got to try some Chardonnay during our visit.) We went on a weekday morning, so we had the whole place to ourselves which was nice. Tables in their courtyard appeared to be distanced from each other. Matt even wiped my card down after processing payment. I appreciate him going out of his way to make it as comfortable an experience for us! Easily a five-star rating for this place!

Yelp
I would skip this place. It was a rainy day. We had sometime to spare before checking in to our hotel. We decided to stop by handwritten. Once we walked in we were greeted by a very unwelcoming host but the name of Amy. The place was completely empty. Not 1 person. It was my husband, myself and our 5 year old. Once she greeted us she said sorry we are completely booked. I looked around and told her there is no one here, in which she replied "people would be coming in". She was nice enough to offer an outside table in the rain. At that point my husband walked out. I entertained the idea of sitting outside which I don't think she expected. She set us up very unwillingly. Another host helped us after that and began to apologize or for her behavior, offered us a bottle of wine on the house. I politely declined. We left. Whatever the policies are, situations should be handled with kindness & respect. I will never visit this place again & will advise against it. We walked over to the neighboring business where we were told she is known for being rude. How people like this are hired in hospitality have no idea.

Yelp
5 Stars!!! Yes! The experience is amazing, the customer service is amazing! We learned so much about wine. Bill is such an amazing host. He taught us about how to smell wines, and he brought us out some towelettes with lavender. We had chips, and cheese rosettes. The wines are amazing!!! Their Blend, Carneros, the Calistoga, was amazing!! You have to definitely reserve a day to come here and experience them.

Yelp
Wow-- Handwritten Wines' Bread & Butter tasting is far and away the best wine tasting experience EVER. The tasting is pre-poured with a variety of Cabernet Sauvignons from various growing regions. Our guide walked us through the details on each and gave us plenty of time to sip at our leisure and compare the notes from each region. What really sets this tasting apart is the pairings. The food offering at the Bread & Butter tasting is robust, to say the least. We were started off with truffle potato chips and some thick cheesy baked crackers. After that, they brought out delicious sliced Bouchon bread and a platter full of meats, cheeses, and butters. The meat was some sort of proscuitto type meat (I wish I wrote down what everything actually was, haha!) The cheese was a beautifully shaven sheep's milk cheese that was phenomenal. There were also 3 various butters. All in all, it was just a really phenomenal tasting with gourmet pairings and friendly staff. Highly recommend!

John B.

Yelp
Evan was a wonderful host; he was knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging, and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit, as we always do at Handwritten. The wines were excellent, and the bread and butter tasting was wonderful as well. Everyone we've taken to Handwritten, all wine lovers, have joined the club, so what else is there to say? The hospitality at Handwritten is always top notch - well done!

Yelp
This has been, by far, the best tasting experience I've had. Handwritten wine's tasting room is located on a street with several other well known restaurants and tasting rooms. In fact, Jessup, next door, is affiliated with Handwritten and offers the more common, appeal to the masses kind of tasting experience. Handwritten offers a personalized, intimate tasting that is sure to impress. We had been tasting at Jessup and as we were leaving, our Napa host ran into one of the Handwritten employees. We decided to make a reservation for the next day. Yes, you probably should make a reservation. They only have a few "seatings" per day and the room only holds about 6 people. The next day, we drive into their private lot located in back of the buildings and we are seated around a table with settings full of glasses. Each setting has a notebook and other info, as well as a personalized note. Super cool. The room itself is elegant and they have plans to build another tasting room. We tasted about 6-7 delicious wines and were encouraged to compare them by taking sips back and forth between the glasses. The tasting was informative and enjoyable. We ended up buying several bottles ($100-$150 range) and left very happy.

Yelp
We went at the soft opening at the newly built Handwritten location. The new tasting room is mid century modern, with choice of a walk in tasting and a fuller seated tasting at the main area. There will be a full kitchen for food pairing option down the road. We tasted 4-5 of the small production Cabernets that are all about 2-3 acres vineyard. All great! The Chardonnay was from the Truchard vineyard which was also worth mentioning. Tasting is waived with a $100 purchase during the soft opening. Reservation is recommended as the walk in tasting area is quite small.

Yelp
Being Handwritten Wine Club members for over a year now, all we can say are great things about the membership, the wines, along with the staff. AND, with the opening of their NEW tasting room in downtown Yountville, things are only getting better! We received an email back in December announcing their soft opening, so I asked my wife if she wanted to check it out. Without hesitation, we were able to book a wine tasting and butter tasting on their opening day. We parked on the backside of the building and walked in, only to be greeted by Phil. As we took in all of the mid-century modern decor, Phil had us sit down on a couch where our tasting was set up and ready to go. We started with a Chardonnay, then a Pinot Noir, and then moved onto a handful of Cabernet Sauvignons from around the region. As always, the complex smooth flavors just makes you fall in love with each and every wine. We were then presented with three different butters, all unique and fun to have with the wine. Then to our surprise, Phil wheeled out the cart of Jamón ibérico and French cheese and carved out some heavenly goodness for us to try. Other customers who saw our full tasting were pointing and whispering simply because we had an amazing, personalized tasting experience thanks to our friend Phil. Really looking forward to coming back soon! I recommend reaching out to them and set up time/tasting. If you love beautifully crafted cabs, look no further!!! (see pics)

Yelp
We had a huge private room for our tasting, which included tasty breadsticks and popcorns to go with our wine. Our host was not very personable and was very sarcastic - not my style when doing a wine tasting experience.

Tina G.

Yelp
Wine was meh, spelled my name Tim, and we unfortunately had a 5th person who couldn't make it and this was the only winery after 3 full days of tasting that charged us for the individual who wasn't able to be there.
google avatar

Mark A.

Yelp
Had a tasting reservation for Easter at noon. Our hostess was phenomenal in explaining their wines. We started with a champagne, which was wonderful. We tasted 1 pinot noir, 3 cabernets and two chardonnays. Seeing that we were not too enthusiastic about the wines at that point, she brought out a special cab and a special chard. Both of these were deliciously balanced. Moral of the story, buy their upscale wines. They are worth it over their regular stock. Cool building in a cool town too!

Yelp
What an incredible experience at Handwritten Wines. We went for the bread and butter tasting. And were treated to some amazing bites and wonderful wines. I must first say that the tasting area they've set up is really quaint and pretty. We were greeted immediately and shown our table. The table was set beautifully. I have to say our host Bill was just the best. Knowledgeable, friendly, and funny. He definitely helped create a memorable experience. Speaking of memorable experiences, the bread and butter tasting was amazing. Really unique and paired really well with the excellent wines that Handwritten was pouring during our tasting. On this particular weekend in Napa, we visited 6 wineries. Some I've been to before and some were new. This was my first time at Handwritten and it won't be my last. Thanks to Bill and Handwritten for creating a wonderful tasting experience in an ideal setting.

Yelp
The wines are excellent. The cheese pairing and the bread and butter pairing are both perfect with the wines. The staff is attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. A must try.

Yelp
Amazing experience with Zeke. Wines were delicious and the bread/butter/cheese pairings were perfect.

Yelp
I don't ever leave reviews. But! This tasting was definitely the most in depth of our stay in napa valley. My wife and I (wine novices) left understanding way more about wine. Evan did an awesome job explaining everything to us and taking us through the different wine types in an approachable way. Great tasting. Highly recommend.

Matt ..

Yelp
Outstanding wine and customer service. Hostesses gave us many more bonus tastings than what was included and each one kept getting better. They gave us lessons using raised relief maps to show how the geography affected the taste for their various acreages throughout the valley . You can apply the tasting fee toward a bottle. Thanks for making the birthday tasting so special. The personalized welcome menus were a nice touch. Highly recommend!!!

Yelp
We didn't have a reservation, but they were sooo accommodating! It was 4 adults (only 3 drinking) and 1 toddler. They asked for our names and to our surprise they printed out a paper with our names on it in calligraphy. It was a nice personal touch. To top it off, they even gave my daughter a juice box and gold fish crackers that kept her preoccupied while we tasted their wines. A.J. was great and treated us so well! He really made us feel at home there. He knows his wines, was really down to earth, and also got everything we needed right away. We would definitely go back and would recommend this place if you're in Yountville!

Yelp
One of our best wine tasting experiences in Napa! 1 Wine: The wines live up to their 4.5+ scores on Vivino. Scores are not inflated at all. You will be pleasantly surprised! We took home 3 bottles. 2 Ambiance: The courtyard has a great outdoor set up with lots of shade. We felt safe the whole visit during COVID! (Aug 2020) 3 Service: Virenda was hands down the best host ever! I know everyone talks about the hospitality in the yelp reviews, but really though. They make you feel right at home. Support the local Napa businesses! We will be coming back!

Yelp

Yelp
I've been fortunate to know and experience some phenomenal wineries in the Napa and Healdsburg area. Handwritten has risen to the top of my list and is a wonderful place to visit and taste exceptional wines! "V" was our host on our recent visit this past weekend, and she's knowledgeable, personable and a wonderful person. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the folks pouring Handwritten wines, but "V" is our favorite! Please check them out the next time you're in the Napa/Yountville area.

Yelp
Thank you Mathew Beverly and Philip O'Connor for your time and attention. The tasting room building and interior is impeccable in design. Warm woods, glass refrigerator door wine coolers and the monks tasting table was amazing. The hand crafted leather notebook folders were an amazing attentive to Handwritten details.I enjoyed all of the wines but the Chardonnay and Pinot were over the top and my personal favorites. I was tasting last week and just got the notice that my wines arrive tomorrow, so very happy!!! Very highly recommended Slainte

Yelp
The tasting room in Yountville is truly a gem. The staff genuinely cares about your experience. Mary Kate was exceptional. They offer several high quality wines to taste and we enjoyed the Bread and Butter experience which I highly recommend.

Yelp
We dropped in for a tasting with Matt and had such a phenomenal experience. We had previously visited Jessup and wanted to check out their sister winery. The decor of the tasting room is super chic and while we were outside, Matt provided us with warm seat covers, blankets and the table was personalized for our visit which was a wonderful touch. We thoroughly enjoyed all of the wines that he poured and although we had purchased a case each at wineries earlier in the day we couldn't wait to purchase from here. We will definitely return and can't wait to one day sit indoors as we loved all of the decor, tables and artistic touches. Thanks to Matt for a great finish to a perfect day.

Yelp
What an amazing space, with amazing wine and amazing people! We had the pleasure of having Bill, the tasting room manager, host us. Bill, was funny, informative, friendly and very knowledgeable. We are not typically white wine drinkers but we rather enjoyed the Sauvignon Blanc. Now let's talk reds...We had a blend (delicious), and a cabs from several AVAs. They were all delicious but the Mt Veeder was the winner, leaving me saying, BAM!

Yelp
My husband and I just got home from tasting here. We took our pup Bindi and all of us felt right at home in their shaded outside patio. The wines are ALL perfect in every way. Each showcasing exactly what you would want in a California wine at its best! The 2016 Calistoga Cabernet was my favorite. Beautiful fruit with just the right amount of tannins. My Husband loved the Combsville Cab 2016 also bright beautiful fruit with a tad more body and tannins. All the Cabs were outstanding! Our sommelier was AJ. He recommended the bread and butter tasting. Who knew how delicious warm Bouchon bakery bread with hand crafted butters, cheese and aged ham would go with California Cab! AJ was awesome, warm and knowledgeable. He let us know just enough in anticipation of our experience and then answered all our questions. We left with 3 bottles of Cabernet, a huge smile and a very happy puppy!
