You Can Learn to Fly a Plane at This Tokyo Airport Hotel

"The Haneda Excel Hotel Tokyu, connected to Terminal 2 of Tokyo's Haneda Airport, has introduced a 'Superior Cockpit Room,' with a real 737-800 flight simulator located inside the room. Guests can pretend to fly from Tokyo to Osaka on the room's flight simulator. To actually jump into the captain's seat, however, prospective pilots need to book a 90-minute lesson with a flight instructor. The room's flight simulator, which was installed as part of a celebration for the hotel's fifteenth anniversary, debuted earlier in July and is available to be booked through the hotel's website. Lessons are 30,000 yen (about $276 USD), and the room itself goes for 25,300 yen ($233 USD) per night."

This Hotel Room Has Its Own Boeing 737 Flight Simulator

"Travelers looking to experience what it’s like to fly over one of the world’s best airports can now do so straight from the comfort of their room at the Haneda Excel Hotel Tokyu. Drawing inspiration from its location near Haneda (Tokyo International) Airport, the hotel is opening a room that comes with its own flight simulator to provide guests with sweeping views as they embark on flights over the facility to Osaka's Itami Airport." - Travel + Leisure Editors

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel in Japan. The staff were courteous and helpful, providing excellent service throughout. The room was clean, well-maintained, and equipped with modern amenities. Its location was convenient, close to public transport and popular attractions. The overall atmosphere was calm and relaxing, making it ideal for both business and leisure travelers. Breakfast offered a good variety. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit.

Google
Simple, clean airport hotel, particularly useful for early or late flights. Obviously the main draw is the convenience, although one wonders if anyone chooses to use this hotel without having a flight booked. Perhaps those meeting early flights the next morning? Those who like airports? Can’t be ruled out, although can’t be many.

Google
Very convenient location with direct access from the hotel lobby to the domestic departures level of terminal 2. Good selection of restaurants in the terminal during operational hours. Easy check-in even after midnight. The signs to night access elevator from the free inter-terminal shuttle bus are clear and easy to follow. The room was very cozy and well-appointed, and quiet!

I stayed at the Haneda Tokyu Hotel at Terminal 2 for one night on March 14, 2025 during an 11 hour layover. We were assigned Room 5220 with 2 double beds. I loved that this hotel anticipated every need a weary traveler would ask for. They provided pajamas, slippers, toiletries from shavers to toothbrushes, pretty much 2 of everything. The beds were comfortable with a thick duvet which provided a restful sleep. We purchased breakfast as well in the hotel's restaurant & it was delicious. The food was fresh with a good mix of Japanese & Western cuisine to choose from. Would highly recommend. Although the price we paid 27,400 yen for one night was high, I felt it was worth it for our comfort after a long day of travel. Should I have a long layover at Haneda, I would definitely return.

Google
You have to walk quite far from arrival/train station (all the way to the end) but the location is nice as it's connected to the airport. You can push the airport cart into their lobby. They even allowed us to leave it outside our rooms for us to use the morning after for our flight. Bathroom had an odd smell but the room itself was okay. Not really 4 stars in terms of room but it's made up for it by the very kind service of the staff.

The front desk staff Kim is very helpful and polite. The breakfast is with plenty of selections of choices. The location is very good because it's straight directly facing ANA check in counter. I highly recommend to everyone who needs to take domestic flight or any transition flight in Japan.

Google
Good experience- the room was somewhat small but this is to be expected for an airport hotel in Japan. They had good amenities and breakfast was worth it. It was clean and staff were very polite and helpful. Would stay here again to catch an early flight.

Google
This is a three star hotel in my opinion, with decent facilities and is good value for money. A very convenient hotel to the airport, when flying internationally it is at the opposite end to the arrivals gate. After a 9 hour flight arriving at 8.30pm, it was great to be able to check in and sleep.

Yelp
This hotel was probably the best of the three hotels we stayed at during our recent Japan trip. Nothing over-the-top or exceptional about it but I loved the convenience of being in the airport since we had an early morning flight the next day. Also, compared to the other hotels we stayed at during this trip, this one had the most room; which still wasn't much. Overall, it was a convenient hotel at a reasonable price, and would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
I was searching for a hotel near Haneda airport just for the night since we were catching an early morning flight the next day and came across this one. I'm into credit cards and getting points so I used about 18,000 points to book excel double non smoking room which retails at about $266. Check in was quick and easy through a kiosk. I guess they don't speak much English? The room was very clean and fairly big for a Japanese hotel. There are shuttles to take you between terminals so it's very convenient. If I ever need to stay the night in Haneda, I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Very comfortable rooms, quick and efficient check in! Delicious breakfast buffet. Perfect place to rest your weary head on a stopover at Tokyo Haneda!

Yelp
The biggest advantage of the Haneda Excel Hotel Tokyo is that it's literally at the airport in the Domestic Terminal 2. It's really easy to get to from the International Terminal, a quick 5 minute shuttle ride is all that is needed. American type room size, was quite surprised. After we checked in a hotel in the heart of Tokyo will make you realize that Americans take for granted the amount of space we have. Hotel room is very clean, they provide the common travel amenities including toothbrush and toothpaste, which is nice. Staff is very friendly and helpful. You won't hear the airplanes taking off and landing, great sound insulation. The only "drawback" is that rates are somewhat high, expect rates a little less than $200 USD per night. But this should be expected with the location.

Yelp
This was a easy site to find adjacent to the airport. A free bus ride from terminal three to terminal two. The staff was very polite, the room was spotless. I do think the price point is a bit stiff. Unless the rates were dramatically cheaper I'd go offsite next time.

Yelp
Hotel adjacent to the terminal 2, it took me 10 mins from my room to the ANA lounge in terminal 2. After arriving shortly after 10pm at Haneda airport, this hotel was ideal location for traveling next morning from the same airport. Short free shuttle bus ride from international terminal to the terminal 2, you will be in your room in no time. Check in was very smooth, be sure to ask for user name and password for free wifi. Room was very small, typical Japanese business hotel. Bed is also Japanese typical hard bed. They have a humidifier/purifier in a room and helped me sleep better with clean air. They had two pillows, foam and feathers. I kept switching my pillow every time I woke up. I ordered room service breakfast and it was really good. Japanese traditional style. Overall, this hotel gave me what I needed after my long flight. Now I am ready to take another flight.

Yelp
As everyone has been raving about, yes it is true, you can't beat the location. The hotel is part of terminal 2 and there are many great restaurants to. choose from in the terminal. Things I loved: The staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was clean with many travel amenities eg. toothbrush, tooth paste, shampoo, conditioner, bodywash, robe, and much more. The shower was great! The water pressure and temperature was perfect. There were many lights to turn on with convenient switches near the bed. Several 110 American style plugs to change up my electronic devices. Free reliable WiFi Things I didn't like: The noisy portable air conditioning unit kept me away with its loud humming and ticking. The room was hot and the little portable unit struggled to keep the room cool. Perhaps I had it on the wrong setting but it was all in Japanese. The matress on the bed was super firm which again kept me from sleeping through the night. I think this was a great hotel but it has room for improvement. I love everything they are doing right but I have to sleep well.

Yelp
This was a surprisingly nice hotel for one that is located right in an airport. It definitely was a bit strange to wake up and walk right out into a terminal full of people and onto the plane. But you can't beat the location and convenience of staying here. It is also incredibly clean which falls in line with everything you find in Japan. It's very spacious considering it's a hotel located in Tokyo. I was surprised to find two double beds in my room with enough room to open up my suitcases! They also provide full amenities, pjs, slippers, TV, hot coffee and tea, etc. The breakfast buffet was also very nice. It had an extensive selection of Japanese and Western style breakfast items. The hotel staff was exceptionally nice (which also falls in line with most service people in Japan) and helpful. I would definitely stay here again if I end up taking the later flight into Japan from Chicago.

Yelp
The Haneda Excel Hotel is located very conveniently in Terminal Two at Haneda International Airport. I arrived at the International Terminal and after I cleared customs and retrieved my bag, it was a short, free shuttle bus ride to Terminal Two. The entrance to the hotel lobby faces the check in area for ANA Airlines, so if you plan on flying on ANA domestically within Japan during your stay, this is a super convenient place to stay. The rooms aren't the biggest, but they are sufficient, clean and comfortable. There is a restaurant downstairs just off of the lobby called The Flyer's Table and they have a great breakfast buffet starting at approximately 5am. There is also a bar and lounge area that you can unwind in after a long flight or perhaps a day of business meetings. There's also many, many food/dining options to choose from throughout this massive terminal. Another convenient feature is that this hotel is just a short walk to the Haneda Airport train station and the Tokyo monorail. It's super easy to jump on the monorail and go till the end of the line which is Hamamatsucho station where you can connect to other lines. Don't forget to purchase or re-charge your IC cards too so you'll have a stress free experience riding the rails in Tokyo. I will be staying here again for sure! Four Comfortable Stars!! * * * *

Yelp
I stayed one night at this hotel when I landed at Haneda airport. The location can't be beat as the entrance to this place is within the airport terminal itself. This meant that after I checked in to my room, I able was to easily go back to the terminal to browse the stores and restaurants. The room was clean and well maintained. The Wifi was strong and one thing that surprised me were the options available on pay per view.

Yelp
Excellent hotel, conveniently located, clean and comfortable rooms, very good dining, especially the breakfast buffet which had excellent food, outstanding and fast service

Yelp
Amazing location! Literally attached to the airport in terminal 2. Quick free shuttle ride from terminal one. I was a little worried about noise when I looked out my window and saw that we were literally on the Tarmac, but the room had double panes windows and it was COMPLETELY quiet. Jets departing and trucks everywhere and not a single sound.

Yelp
Early morning arrival from Seattle necessitated a room for several hours. The hotel at the international terminal was booked so we were able to get a room at tithe Excel Hotel at the domestic terminal. Had to take a taxi to domestic terminal as the bus services end at midnight. Good, clean rooms with a view of the runways. Pricey but convenient with a late check out.

Yelp
This hotel is located inside terminal 2 ( domestic) which ANA air line . Check in counter is right by entrance of hotel . Hotel was clean and comfortable . Has restaurant that opened till 01:30am ( last order 00:30). The food was tasty but price is high . But hey what can I complain it's airport hotel ! Front desk staff is very friendly and professional , speedy check in and out . Definitely will go back again .

Yelp
I don't know if other hotel does this, it's definitely the first time I've experienced it, but they charge a hotel by number of people. I reserved a hotel room with one bed and apparently I can't have someone else (girlfriend) sleeping in there. I was forced to change to a two bedroom and pay an additional 7,010 yen. I don't see how they can justify that much additional cost just because one more person is in the room. The additional charge had to be paid by cash. I typically use Expedia for travel and they provide nice ffp, so I couldn't get ffp for the additional charge I had to pay. I couldn't relax in the shower. The shower would randomly get super hot. They're not English friendly. I was surprised to see a hotel stationed literally in the haneda airport and not know English. English is Japan's second language, Japanese language is even coupled to English since they borrow a lot of the words. I've been to a low end, $50 a night hotel in Japan out in Ginza and they're able to speak English. I speak Japanese but if there's ever a problem, like the rooming situation, I can communicate better with English. Comparing cost, communication and stability of their hospitality, I would not come here again. We were at the end of our vacation which was going perfect and then this shenanigan happened.

Yelp
if you do business around Haneda this the place to stay. it is close to all of the places to eat in Terminal 2 and very close to the monorail. the restaurant is not too bad and they have a pretty good breakfast spread. they do not have a gym which is a big minus and their wifi is free but you have to have the code handy. make sure to make sure to check your room is non-smoking cause some of them are pretty bad. Also the prices have been very sporadic recently
