Hang Heung is a local bakery and cake shop that started in 1920 in the Yuen Long area. You can find their branches scattered around the city including this place on Dundas Street in Mongkok, selling wife cakes, walnut cookies and other popular local bakery items behind the counter. Opening hours are 11am to 9pm daily.
Probably their most popular year round product is their wife cake. However, locals flock to their branches for mid-Autumn Festival mooncakes which can be purchased individually in tins or in boxes of 4, nicely packaged for those who want to gift them to friends, family or take back home as souvenirs. The Hang Heung mooncakes are very good, the classic lotus with double egg yolk is smooth, with a nice balance of sweetness and saltiness. The Phoenix rolls are pretty good as well.
