Beat the Heat With These Outstanding Hawaiian Shave Ice Shops in LA

"Spend enough time in Hang Loose’s kitschy, tropical decor, and for a second, one might forget that the shop is in the deep streets of Glendale. For shave ice purists, some combination of Hawaiian punch, vanilla, guava, Tiger’s Blood, or mai tai is a good idea. Then again, adding a few gummy bears or fluffy marshmallows on top never hurt anyone." - Kat Hong

Google
This place doesn't technically exist anymore! Looks like a new owner/business but they still have the same items on the menu. UPDATE YOUR INFO! Don't be expecting an island-themed place, it's another generic-LA-trendy-'dessert' shop that's as sterile as it can get. The ube-matcha drink was good, came for the shaved ice, left quite sad.

Google
First time there... easy to order but I didn't like it. It looks better than it tasted. Parking is very limited, street only.

Google
I’m so sad and disappointed by this shave ice. Hawaiian shave ice is one of my favorite things and has been since my first trip to Maui. I seek places with organic and natural flavors so I was really excited that they had them on the menu. I went twice wanting organic mango and lemon/lime, but both times they didn’t have them. I decided to give it a try anyways today and settled on a medium raspberry, pink lemonade, and pineapple, but none of the flavors were detected or distinguishable. Truly the worst syrups I’ve tried and cost $12 including tax and tip.

Google
Shave ice flavors lacked sweetness (cherry and grape, c’mon). Very light flavor pours as well. At the end, I was left with mostly unflavored ice. Things seem to have gone down hill since they renovated this spot. It used to be one of my and kids’ favorite spots. Will instead go to Ululani’s in Hollywood.

Google
Shaved ice didnt have much flavor. was very disappointed. my girlfriend got kakigori and it made her ill. would not recommend.

Google
We just came from Hawaii and were having some withdrawals so we decided to look up a place while we stayed in LA, and came across this cute gem. They were as authentic as it gets! My husband ordered a shaved ice with cherry, fruit punch and piña colada.

Google
Ordered 14 dollars worth of stuff through a third party app (two surprise bags), only received three tiny croissants. Horrible, rude, ignorant, and oblivious customer service was provided. Please inform your workers about the app called “TooGoodToGo.” Date was February 9th, around 8 pm ish, inform those specific employees.

Google
I'm from Hawaii and having this shave ice feels like home. I love this place! ♥️ My order was very vanilla. Literally. Vanilla ice cream , blue vanilla syrup flavor, topped off with mochi and marshmallows ... Mmmmm yum!

Yelp
When I walked in, I was immediately greeted with a 560lb Hawaiian dude who yelled "Hang Loose". I immediately knew this place was boutta be the bomb. The shaved ice had my throat begging for more. This was 2 years ago. Since then I have spent over 7 thousand dollars on shaved ice. I eat a cup for breakfast lunch and dinner and absolutely love it. Soon I will apply to work as the man at the front door who yells "HANG LOOSE!". Cant wait. 10/10 place. must visit

Yelp
This place made my day. So light and refreshing. Really unique from other stuff you find in the area

Yelp
Just returned from Kauai and still craving a sweet Hawaiian treat! A quick YELP search later, we found Hang Loose Hawaiian Shave Ice. We rolled over to the Kenneth Village area of Glendale and found this cute shop. Street parking was easy to find. Walking inside, the owners were seated at one of the tables and looked up at us like we were disturbing them. We said, "Hi" and began looking at the menu board. The owner got up and pointed to an ordering kiosk and told us to order there. After we figured out how to use the kiosk (there are different types of syrups, regular, organic and natural and depending on what you click on, you get different options) we managed to order our shave ice. When we submitted our orders, a bell went off behind the counter and the couple proceeded to prepare our shave ice. The shave ice machine was legit and the same one our favorite shave ice place on Maui (Peace, Love, Shave Ice) uses, so I was really happy to see that. We ordered ice cream in the bottom of the shave ice and they were generous with it! Once the orders were completed, we were given the shave ice. We decided to sit at some the cute tables outside (there are holes in the table top that allow you to put your shave ice cup in a secure spot so it doesn't tip over). The shave ice was really good. Nice flavors, plenty of syrup (I got pineapple and passion fruit) and like I mentioned, lots of ice cream. I got the medium and it was so big that I think I'll get the small next time. Because despite the chilly reception, the shit is good and I'll be back! The only semi-complaint is the frigid reception by the people running the place. They were cold as the shave ice they were serving, even after we thanked them and told them how good it was. Maybe they were having a bad night?? Anyway - the shop is located on a super cute street. It's got the perfect Aloha aesthetic going on. The shave ice is on point, but the reception and service is pretty lack luster. So...if you want a taste of the islands right here in Glendale - this place will do the job.

Yelp
The shave ice here was legit, on a par with any I've had in Hawaii. The portions were very generous and the prices were fair. Plus their outside tables have holes in them to hold your cups. Not a lot of Aloha from the folks running the store but it was late and they were probably spent from slinging ice all day. Still, I would definitely return.

Yelp
I just want you guys to know they don't close at 11. I just drove here and it's closed. I'm sure it's so good just fix your hours

Yelp
I recently visited this quaint little ice cream joint and, overall, I had a delightful experience, but there were a couple of hiccups that prevented it from being perfect. Let's start with the positives: the atmosphere here is absolutely charming. The small space is adorned with vibrant island decorations that transport you to a tropical paradise, enhancing the overall experience. I couldn't agree more with the uniqueness of this place; there's truly nothing quite like it in the area. Also, the prices are incredibly reasonable, making it an attractive option for anyone looking for a budget-friendly sweet treat. However, there was one significant downside that left me slightly disappointed, and it's the reason I've docked a star from my review. The preparation of the ice cream cone left much to be desired. Typically, I expect my cone to be assembled in a specific order: ice, ice cream, ice, and then syrup. Unfortunately, the girl behind the counter didn't follow this sequence. Instead, she put the ice cream first, a move that initially caught me off guard. I didn't even realize she had added the ice cream until my observant friend pointed it out, as it was the first thing she did. Consequently, I assumed she had forgotten about my ice cream until I reached the bottom of the cone, where it was disappointingly mixed with water. This unexpected arrangement affected the texture and taste of my dessert, leaving me slightly unsatisfied. Despite this setback, I must commend the flavors of my cone, which were truly delicious. The combination of syrup, guava and mango, was divine, showcasing the potential this place has if the preparation process is improved. Another minor downside was the limited seating inside; the space is quite small, with not many tables available. However, since it wasn't busy during my visit, I managed to find a spot without much trouble. Additionally, I'd like to mention that finding parking on the busy street was a bit challenging, but considering the unique experience and affordable prices, I'd say it's worth the drive. With a few adjustments in the preparation process and perhaps some expansion in the seating area, this place has the potential to become a top-notch dessert destination. I'm optimistic that my next visit will be even better, and I'm looking forward to seeing these improvements in action.

Yelp
Can't ever go wrong with shaved ice. And now that we realized this location is very close to home, we'll be back again! It's sooooooo good !!

Yelp
Mahalo! We came for the Halo Halo but the place had run out of the red beans and condensed milk...bummer.... But think quick ... the red bean paste will replace the missing red beans...and steal the show!!! It did. So we got the Kakigori Matcha with Mochi and red Bean Paste and I gotta say that the Matcha was something else...amazing!!! Cooling us down... Japanese style Sayonara.. it's hot out hia!!!
google avatar

Amber C.

Yelp
I'm sad because every time I go here it's closed! Google maps says they are open until 7pm so they really need to change their hours on there because they actually close at 6pm. One time I showed up ten minutes before they we're supposed to close and the girl said she was closing early because it was cold and she didn't think anyone would come ‍. She did turn the lights back on and serve me, and I really liked what I ordered. I just wish they were open more often. It's a let down to always come here and it's literally never open.

Yelp
The Family was definitely missing the Hawaiian Shaved Ice from the Aloha General Store located in the North Shore of Oahu, and I think we found its equivalent here in Glendale!!! Hang Loose Hawaiian really delivers on both the flavor and size!!! The price isn't bad, especially knowing you're getting an awesome treat and don't have to pay for the vacation to replicate When getting the Shaved Ice, always remember to get it the Locals way, which has Vanilla Ice Cream at the bottom... So if you're looking for something yummy that will definitely cool you down, then check them out!!! Oh, and I Sahved Ice was big enough for a family of 4. So I'm giving them out 5 Shakas for Originality, Flavor, and Size!!!
google avatar

Yelp
When it's hot and the heat makes you all uptight, go to Hang Loose to loosen up with a nice big stack of shaved ice. After you finish your shaved ice, there's a nice cool scoop of ice cream to top off the hawaiian experience. The lychee was my favorite flavor, the watermelon and banana was also tasty. Staff is nice and provides quick service.

Yelp
Absolutely love this place! It is in a very small shoppigg by area above Glendale in a small suburban area. This place is so good! You can get different types of shaved ice from different countries and have variety of flavors. I got the large which was super huge with vanilla ice cream inside with mango and mai tai. The guy who was making it was running back and forth so fast between customers- he was amazing! The ice was delicious and worth the long wait. This place is absolutely a try - parking is easy on the street and parking lot in the front!

Claudia S.

Yelp
Under new ownership. They have a kiosk for all credit card orders and register is cash only. They send you coupons, yet don't honor them and have no idea where the coupons are coming from. I had high hopes for this place as we've been coming here for years, but it's a crap show for overpriced frozen water with color flavored sugar that are all diluted to get more out of it I'm sure. Save your money. This place is done for.
google avatar

Yelp
The menu is kinda confusing because there are 3 and they aren't connected. BUT it's so good! We got the ice cream inside of the snow cone and it was delicious! We also got the speciality saffron ice cream and I'll dream about that for many a year to come. The guy who was working when we went was great and helped us navigate the multi menu situation and get the right stuff. It's a small shop but there are a few tables in front and our back as well as inside. It's cute and decorated nicely.

Yelp
When you have a spot this sweet in town, you gotta shot it some love! This has been a hot summer so the other day I had a craving for some Hawaiian shaved ice! I took to Yelp to find a nearby spot and this place popped up in my search. I've probably driven by here a bunch of times but never noticed it. However, when I saw the photos, I knew it looked like a spot for me. It's in a cute neighborhood with a bunch of shops and quaint little restaurants. I'm not even sure what this area of town is called but its a great place for a treat like an iced coffee or a shaved ice on a hot day! There is street parking but depending on the day and time of day I'm sure it can be tough to nab a spot. Luckily I found a place right across the street. The whole vibe inside is very surfer/islandy and what you would expect from an authentic Hawaiian Shaved Ice spot. I will say, the menu was large with a lot of flavors to choose from. So after noticing my overwhelmed look, the nice guy behind the counter said, "would you like me to explain how the menu works?" I was grateful and took him up on his offer. For those wondering, you can choose a small, medium or large and have a combination of ice cream or just shaved ice. You then add the flavors and any additional toppings for an extra charge. I opted for shaved ice only because thats that I was craving. I choose the large as I was treating myself and when you are treating yourself, calories don't count right? But when I tell you that thing could have fed a family of 4, I am not kidding. It was massive! So don't say I didn't warn you if you decide to go the large route. I choose three flavors... strawberry, blue raspberry and tigers blood (my all-time favorite!) Theres indoor as well as outdoor seating to enjoy your sweets but I took mine to go. As I was leaving there was a boy outside who yelled for his mom to look. I also got a few more stares as I was walking down the street toward my car with this massive colorful iceberg in my hands! When I started eating it, I was instantly transformed back into a child sitting by the pool with syrup dripping down my face and arms. It was the perfect treat for the perfect summer day. After eating half, I took the rest home and put it directly into the freezer. It was even good as a late night snack on the couch. So maybe it was a good thing that I got the large after all. I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
I live pretty far from here but the drive was worth it ! ! Very juicy and flavorful shaved ice Very refreshing and a great cooler for the summer time !Very refreshing ! I've been to a lot of shaved ice & ice cream places but this one is the best ! The ice in the shaved ice has a nice crunchiness. They give your shaved ice in a cool, cute little cup. The tables have little cup-holders to perfectly place your shaved ice in which is convenient. The inside is cutely decorated and it feels very tropical and Hawaiian. The tables have little cup-holders for your It gives a very oceanic feeling as if you're actually in Hawaii. The service is excellent. The workers are very friendly, respectful, and kind. They truly care about the customer's experience. I highly recommend coming here.

Yelp
Shave ice is life in Hawaii.... So how excited was I seeing this place after having dinner across the street the other night. They had many good flavors and the ice was soft and perfect. Prices were pretty good for what you get and the setting was nice giving us that old island vibe, Aloha
google avatar

Laura H.

Yelp
Sooo yummy and not overpriced. The condensed milk topping is scrumptious! I'll definitely be back!

Armand N.

Yelp
The food was horrible there was hair in my shaved ice the service was horrible to they told me to f#c@ off when i said my food had hair in it the place looked ok though

Yelp
Came here two days in a row (: Service/atmosphere: Great service. I can tell they really need help (hire more people) because when we came in Sunday around 6pm there were none stop folks walking in. Three people were ahead of us and there were probably around 6 folks after us. It took them about 25-30 minutes to make ours which was 3 mediums and 1 small. Top flavors imo: Cherry Watermelon Passion fruit Strawberry Must get strawberry ice cream!!! Has fresh berries in it
google avatar

Rafael L.

Yelp
Bad service! Waited in line for 30+min just for the worker to tell us that the ice keeps on breaking and that she was about to close in 10 min so she didn't have much time to make our shaved ice. We made line at 6:10 just to be disappointed and we weren't the only customers that left disappointed. Bad bad service!
google avatar

Yelp
We LOVE this place and are so happy to live close by. We have our favorite shave ice spots on Kauai where we go frequently. This place is just as good (or as close as we have ever found. It brings us back to Hawaii every time and is a mini-vacation just to stop by and enjoy. Please stay here forever, Hang Loose!

Yelp
I've traveled to Hawaii almost every summer ever since I was a kid and in fact just returned from Oahu a week ago haha. But I gotta say, the shave ice I had here didn't come all that close to the ones I've had in Hawaii. That doesn't mean it's terrible, but the ice just wasn't as fine and the syrups (peach, mango, guava) weren't evenly distributed and didn't taste as natural and subtly sweet. My biggest problem with this shave ice however, is the cup design. This probably isn't a problem if you like shave ice by itself, but I always order mine with a scoop of vanilla ice cream because I love how the creaminess of it balances out the ice. But how am I supposed to combine the two if my scoop of ice cream is stuck at the bottom of the skinny part of the cup? If you've had Matsumoto or Island Vintage shave ice in Oahu, you'd know that they always shape their shave ice in a way that the scoop of ice cream is right in the center. By the time my boyfriend and I got to the bottom of this shave ice (which was a way bigger portion than we expected for a large), the ice cream had already melted and mixed in with the watery syrup. Maybe it would've been better if we had ordered a smaller size, but I still don't like the way the cups are skinny on one end and that the ice cream is located at the bottom of that end.

Yelp
Took my niece here for her first sno cone and it did not disappoint! I will say we were hoping organic flavors would be colorful, but I understand why they aren't! We got her a rainbow sno cone, the cashier who helped us was so attentive and sweet and it was all super affordable and delicious!!! I really liked the little tables outside where you can put your sno cone cups in them! 10/10 would recommend this place. We loved it! Can get ice cream inside, or just the shave ice. We opted for just the shave ice! Definitely chose right!

Yelp
FINALLY.... Some LEGIT Hawaiian shave ice on the mainland. I've searched far and wide. It's a task to come across one that has the smooth, light like snow textured ice as they have in HI. If you've been to Oahu and enjoyed Waiola or Shimazu's then you understand. If you've been to Maui and tried Ululani's then you feel me. If you've been to Kauai and sampled Waikomo or Hee Fat then you get where I'm coming from. It's all about the texture and smoothness of the ice then the syrups then the added toppings. Those are the ABC's of importance IMO. Hang Loose Hawaiian Shave Ice is located in unassuming Kenneth Village in Glendale. I was glad to find this place and we tried it out on a recent Saturday. It was about an hour before closing and there were 4 customers already inside so we waited right outside the door... and waited... and waited. There was only one worker and the line was growing behind us. They need more staff to help the poor young lady trying to make all the shave ice by herself! We finally had our turn and both got medium shave ice. I like that Hang Loose like many places on Kauai have natural fruit juices as options instead of artificially flavored syrups. I went with strawberry, lychee and lilikoi (passion fruit). I went with no ice cream base... I'm a purist. I forgot to add li hing mui powder on top in our haste to keep the line moving. Next time for sure. My girl got lychee and pineapple natural fruit juices with coconut pineapple ice cream (Thrifty?) as her base. We enjoyed our shave ice on a bench outside. There are dedicated tables for Hang Loose outside with inventive holders for the shave ice on em but we just sat elsewhere. We enjoyed our shave ice and loved how it was smooth, close to how they have it on the aina. We were just recently on Kauai and had shave ice every other day the 2 weeks we were there, so this treat was satisfying. It brought us back a little, for sure. Each order comes with a spoon and a straw with an end like Slurpee straws. The mediums were around $7 each. We will definitely be back and we hope there is more staff available so the one employee isnt doing all the work and customers arent waiting too long. Good to finally find a legit shave ice place on the mainland.

Yelp
Best Shaved Ice in Los Angeles. Service could improve but they always do a great job. I would definitely recommend just be prepared to wait a bit if it's busy. Best time to go is during the week
google avatar

Jonathan M.

Yelp
Nowadays it's rare to find a place that actually cares about the customers experience and satisfaction. This place is definitely apart from the norm. We ordered 3 shave ice and almost immediately my 3yr old spilled hers. They quickly made her a whole new order at no charge. Then halfway through her ice she had a meltdown because she now wanted "rainbow" colors on hers. They were happy to transform it into rainbow colors again at no charge. It may not seem like a lot but to a parent this speaks volumes. Not only that but the quality of ice and flavors here are legit! Almost as good as back home in HI. Aloha and mahalo to this crew
google avatar

Rox C.

Yelp
Super cute shop adorably decorated that provides not only delicious shaved ice, but excellent service. Tucked away in the hills of Glendale. Unfortunately due to. Covid there is no eating there, only to go orders. But the service, varieties and flavors definitely are what we were looking for. Now for shaved ice, I had never had it with ice cream at the bottom, so that was something different, but good. Definitely will go back again sometime soon.
google avatar

Olivia S.

Yelp
Loved it! Went looking for a place that served ice cream w their shaved ice. Found this gem! In a part of Glendale I never knew existed. It was a lovely drive there, beautiful scenery and neighborhoods. The lady that helped me was super nice, and I had a pleasant experience there. The sizes/portions are generous. I had too many good flavors to choose from. Boba too!!! I'll be going back! Delicious!
google avatar

Ryen R.

Yelp
This is one of my daughter's favorite places to go to. The shop itself is small and narrow and can get a little crowded but they do offer outside seating that even has holders for your shaved ice. The shaved ice is one of the best I've had outside of Hawaii. They have just about every flavor you could ask for and even offer some sugar free flavors, and there are plenty of other toppings to f you want add them. Portions are gigantic so you can share with someone if you can agree on flavors. Highly recommend if you liked shaved ice, looking for something different for sweet cravings, or when it's hot outside it can be a refreshing treat.

Eunice C.

Yelp
Server was very nice and the shaved ice was great! Well decorated place. Would definitely come back.

Yelp
I had been craving shaved ice for some time, and my Neice told me about this place! Easy to miss but definitely worth the wait to the OWNER: the only guy working there Vahe was a Champ handled customer service very well! He definitely either needs a raise or a good bonus check!
google avatar

Mr.Bottomline ..

Yelp
BOTTOMLINE: it's 7/10- not bad! Enough to satisfy my Matsumoto shave ice craving FOOD: 7/10- good selections of flavor PEOPLE/SERICE: very nice friendly people- wasn't that busy when we went ATMOSPHERE: it's a small shop on the hills of Glendale PRICE/VALUE: fair Note: Rec to the business owner- have the real mochi balls! It makes it that much better
google avatar

Hanaliejoy C.

Yelp
I used to work at a Hawaiian shave ice joint & although they had some great flavors here, the vibes were just too corny. Hawaiian shave ice is supposed to be soft, but this ice was packed way too hard & not temped correctly. Resulting in crunchy ice. I don't know of any other Hawaiian shave ice places near Glendale, so this will do. But if you're just coming back from vacation & hoping this will bring you back to your happy place, you might leave dissatisfied.
google avatar

Julie O.

Yelp
Just okay! Cute place but they are definitely just snow cones...didn't have that powdery, more fine consistency like an authentic Hawaiian shave ice.
google avatar

Aamna M.

Yelp
SHAVED ICE was solid I Wholeheartedly do not recommend the Faloodeh - it was pieces of dried noodle in a sugary rose syrup and came with some lemon/cherry syrup on the side. It was not worth eating at all. And we ended up throwing it away. So don't do what I did and just stick to the SHAVED ICE! And don't forget to try the ling hing Mui powder. Luckily my husband let me share his!! Next: I'll probably stick to the usual POG shave ice with ling hing mui.
google avatar

Dan K.

Yelp
98 degrees and humid - Hang Loose Hawaiian was a lifesaver. Great, legit Hawaiian shaved ice awaits you regardless of weather...although it was especially great because of the weather. We just wrapped up a 9 mile hike in and around the Brand Park area and made our way to Hang Loose. After a short-ish wait (single employee at first - help eventually came) I ordered a medium, coconut pineapple ice cream, piña colada, Li Hing Mui (sweet/sour plum) and more coconut on top. The serving size was generous and the flavorings were delicious. I took a risk with the Li Hing Mui since I had no idea what it was and am very happy that I did. It was a great contrast to the sweetness of the ice cream. All and all this is a great addition to the neighborhood.

Yelp
Good Hawaiian vibes and shaved ice with ice cream base. Loved the flavor choices and friendly customer service.
google avatar

Abby G.

Yelp
This place has pretty good shaved iced! I love the variety of different flavor syrups they offer. And I also noticed they have different types of dessert to different counties which I thought was really cool! I got the medium size but didn't finish it because it was a lot... it's enough to share for two people!
google avatar

Tellie N.

Yelp
I really like their shaved ice with ice cream. Very good for hot weather but I don't mind having this when it's winter. It's so good! They're not stingy when giving flavored syrup. However, they don't have a lot of choices for toppings. Also, it's a bit pricey $5 for small and additional .50cents for each toppings.
google avatar

Anna S.

Yelp
Strolling through Kenneth village my husband and daughter had to try shaved iced as they are fans. They got strawberry ice cream on the bottom and a few flavors of shaved ice on top. I can say they enjoyed it very much. They are looking forward to trying different flavors. Place was clean, following safety guidelines and friendly customer service.

Mrs. F.

Yelp
Get there early in the day on hot days. Sometimes run out of ingredients of their international dessert specials. Servers are sweet and try to accommodate as best they can.

Yelp
just like in Hawaii I love their shaved ice. Vanilla/w/tiger blood and lechera. Alway a great spot.

Yelp
Place had good Hawaiian ice flavor selections. Had never been and will definitely come back and try other options. Employee who was there was pretty helpful.

Yelp
We go to Hang Loose's storefront in Glendale sometimes and decided to hire their truck to cater our daughter's park birthday party. Linda at Hang Loose was great! They showed up early and powered through all of our guests' orders in 90 minutes, and everyone loved the ices. A few people said it was better than the Hawaiian ices they had in Hawaii.

Then you select your flavors of ice then snow cap it with condensed milk or other topper. You can also add candy & other toppings as well. All the selections & flavors are listed on the back wall. I ordered the Medium Coconut Pineapple Ice Cream & 3 Flavors of Shave Ice: Blue Hawaii, Mango & Tiger Blood & Snow Capped with Condensed Milk. OMG! Here Comes Summer! The Taste of the Islands in LA. The shop is a small shop with lots of pictures on the wall, a fishing net overhead with beach balls & elements from the sea. There are Surfboards both inside & outside. They also have outdoor dining in front with tables & chairs or just get it to go. They also serve ice cream & numerous International Desserts as well. There are desserts from The Philippines, Mexico, Persia, Korea, & Japan. There is Free 2 Hour Street Parking up & down Kenneth Road. There are numerous other Mom & POP retail shops, restaurants & establishments up & down the street on both sides in Kenneth Village as well. If you want an authentic Taste of Hawaii & want to cool off & have a great dessert then you've got to head over to Hang Loose. It used to be, you had to have Mega Bucks & be really rich to have The Good Life, not anymore. The Game has changed. You've Been Upgraded. Now You Can Live Like A King On A Limited Budget!

Yelp
Hang Loose is located on a cute neighborhood street! The girl behind the counter was super sweet. She got my order... which is so hard to figure out what to get! Choose the size, then what kind of ice cream (you can skip if you just want shaved ice), then pick the flavors you want (hardest decision ever!), and then pick topping (added cost per topping). I had my kids outside and the girl behind the counter offered to bring out my order.. super helpful! There were about three tables outside that had the convenient holder for your shaved ice cups... I really liked that! They even had a water bowl for doggies. We went when it wasn't busy so I felt really safe eating my shaved ice. But there was an issue with bees. We probably were able to eat half our order before bees started to bother us. We had gone around 230pm on a Friday so it was pretty easy to find street parking right in front.

Yelp
My daughters favorite is shaved iced and she loved it! Cute little shop with lots of options. Can be just a plain with up to 3 flavors or add a scoop of ice cream at the bottom, also add some condensation milk or sprinkles.. so yummy and delicious

Yelp
The staff was very helpful about walking through the different options and there are so many you can have Hawaiian shaved ice, ice cream, toppings and international frozen desserts! I ended up picking the Hawaiian rainbow which has strawberry, peach and blue raspberry flavors with condensed milk. The portion was more than generous and well priced for a small. Complimentary water was refreshing because I came back from hiking at the Brand Park. I want to come back to try an international desert.

Yelp
Specialty shaved ice accessible with less resources and effort expended than a trip to Hawaii or a drive to SoCal seashore adjacent joints, this gem in a picturesque nook in Glendale Kenneth Square above Glenoaks is a wonderful find. Perfect spot on a blistering hot day to enjoy a delicious snack or dare to challenge a cold day with an equally cool perk of a brazen snap of an icy nosh.
