Hangong-Gan

The food was SO good we ended up eating here two nights in a row during our five nights in Seoul. Even though we were staying quite far away, it was worth the detour. Such good food for a good price! Amazing use of Asian flavors and everything was cooked to perfection. Generous portions, we left super full and super happy both times. We tried quite a few of the dishes, but my favourite was the lamb pancake, and the roasted chicken with korean chives! The staff were lovely and the whole place had such a good vibe. The restaurant is simple, but beautifully decorated. Definitely recommend booking ahead on Instagram or NAVER, since there are few tables and seems to be fully booked in the evenings.

We found this place randomly while trying to find a yummy place to eat in the area and I’m so happy we found it! This is our favourite restaurant that we have found in all of Seoul and I can’t recommend it enough. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff are the sweetest people. Definitely recommend the Yuzu tofu and the Tofu pancake! This is such a good find for any vegetarians or even vegans looking for an amazing experience 🩷 Dare I say this might be the best food I’ve eaten my entire life…. 🥰

The ambience was cozy and intimate, with soft peaceful music. The honey garlic mustard sauce fried chicken and shrimp egg fried rice was a perfect pair to share with my friend. Would highly recommend.

Yes, it's as good as the reviews say. I absolutely loved it here. My grandma loved her fried chicken and said it melted in her mouth. My red pepper spicy tofu was the perfect amount of moderate spice to be delicious and not overwhelming. Everyone was friendly. This is the best food I've had in Korea. Thank you!!!

Aaaaaamazing food! Not many dishes, but all were fantastic. KUDOS to the chef 🧑‍🍳 we had homemade pomegranate sake and it was wow! They were so kind to sell me some for takeaway. If in Seoul definitely do not miss this place. Book in advance as only couple of tables available.

This place just proves that you should never judge what it looks like on the outside. The food was absolutely phenomenal, hands down the most flavourful and delicious dishes. You can tell the staff here care about creating a unique experience with their flavours ✨ 1000000% recommend.

My husband and I had an amazing time here. We got the honey mustard fried chicken and fried tofu with peppers and each plate was absolutely delicious. To drink we ordered the plum ade and the homemade pomegranate sake. While both were delicious the sake was the absolute best alcohol we have ever had. The service was fantastic and we received some delicious ice cream, perhaps the best ice cream we have ever had, for dessert. The atmosphere was great and the food delicious. A great way to end our honeymoon. Thank you!

Everything about this place is a win. Visiting from the USA, came here because it was the only place that offered vegan and non-vegan options in the area of air bnb in Hongdae, for me and a friend AND was open later than most spots. This is the definition of an indie-craftsmen joint. The chef is slinging AUTHENTIC fusion - the flavors are amazing and with generous portions too!! I wish I could box 1,000,000 spicy crispy tofu pancakes up and bring them back to LA with me. I will always recommend Hangong-gan to all my vegan & non-vegan friends.
