"Technically located just over the Sunnyvale border, Hankook is the best of the several gleaming, mega-sized Korean supermarkets in the area. The meat and fresh seafood displays are immaculate (it’s as good a market as there is in the Bay Area if you’re looking for well-marbled beef), but customers can also put together a lavish, restaurant-quality meal just by stalking the hot food and banchan bars, where you’ll find big vats of marinated baby octopus, stir-fried anchovies, fried chicken, japchae, and dozens of varieties of kimchi. For a quick, portable meal, grab a package of kimbap (Korean-style sushi rolls) or one of the still-warm lunchbox sets." - Luke Tsai

Vegan-friendly — check out some of the pictures I made on the fly. You can buy big jars of vegetarian kimchi (without anchovies/shrimps) for a much cheaper price! Cute dish ware, some household items, personal care items and even Korean skin care.

Clean! Selections! Location Hankook Supermarket is, without a doubt, the best Asian grocery store in the South Bay. See how many different types you can find on pretty much every Asian culture staple - RICE! You get different types white or brown, less than $9.99 for a 15-lb bag, this is cheaper than what Costco can offer on a per pound basis. **NOTE** With the current Trump waging tariff wars against many Asian countries, I'd stock up on these $8.99 15-lb bags of rice, it's bound to shut up sooner or later‼️‼️ Other Asian staples such as tofus are $1.29 (versus $1.69 elsewhere), one of my favorites is fish cakes that I add often to instant ramen are $6.99 (regularly $9.99) for a 2-lb bag, there are always several specials to be had. You can't find better prices on toasted sesame oils which are frequently displayed at the front of the store right in front of the cash registers. Speaking of convenient Instant Noodles, despite it's a Korean supermarket, in addition to many popular Korean ones (幸 @$2.99 for a 5-pk bag EVERYDAY ‼️‼️‼️), that's not surprising; what IS truly amazing is that they got better prices on instant noodles from China/HK/Taiwan than Asian supermarkets like Ranch 99 or Marina Market.

I love Hankook! They have a lot of Korean specialty items, a bakery, a wonderful small bakery, a wonderful produce section, and their prepackaged food is absolutely delicious (I recommend the spicy squid - yum!). The store is always very clean, plenty of parking, and although it can get very busy, the lines move quickly.

Do not buy this pot very bad quality. I bought it in Hankook supermarket in El Camino few days ago. Usually new bought the pot or Pan before use to cook I had to washed with soap after put water in pot for boiled up 1 time. I did the same with other pot bought different places but they were ok , but this pot after boiled it came out many small dots inside the pot and can not wash out,as you can see in pictures, I brought to return but the manager said i used already can not return I said bad quality just boiled with water only and she asked me where did I live i said in san jose, she said San jose the water bad that's why the pot became like that and she said don't use the faucet water. so stupid that's not make sense. And she said this good quality. So good quality only use good water to cook? And living in san iose can not buy it ? That's mean bad quality. This very very cheap pot that I bought in Korean Market. I rather buy in Cosco , Macy's or some big stores better.

I was shocked, Update, this happened on Friday, August 30th, 2024 between 7-7:30pm. when I went into the restroom to pee, someone was in the stall and it was really loud. The sound of pulling out the toilet paper was loud, and even if it came out, He left the rest room without washing his hands. The person in was an employee of the store, and even brought a black apron into the private room. Surprisingly, the Spanish-speaking employee worked in the meat department. The employee took a poop, left the room without washing his hands, and even brought his apron into the room. I was traumatized. I couldn't buy any meat that day. I will never forget the face of that Spanish speaking employee, I am still in shock. Store managers and owners, please retrain your employees to wash their hands after pooping. When the cashiers were all crowded, there was one place where no one was lining up, so I went there and understood why there were no people lining up. The elderly Korean female cashier was completely silent. That may be normal in her home country, but this is America, so surely it's okay to at least say thank you? I don't ask for excessive service, but when I buy something, it's normal to say thank you. It's a Korean 🇰🇷 market, but they also sell Asian food, Japanese, Chinese, and of course American food. There are ingredients I've never seen before, so it's really fun. There is a wide variety of rice available, and I always have trouble deciding which one to buy. There is a wide variety of vegetables, meat, and fish. There is also a wide variety of frozen foods.Every time I go, I have a hard time deciding what to choose. Also, there is a wide variety of tableware, and there are things I've never seen before, which makes it fun.Prices seem to be set reasonably low, and seasonal items are especially good value for money.

Hankook prices are more expensive than Mega Mart. Hankook also appear to be less clean.

Google
Huge supermarket with every kind of Asian / Korean goodies, foods and groceries. In addition you can find unique clothing, makeup, shoes, cookware, decor, desserts plus other endless variety of nicknacks from Korea. They are conveniently featured in separate stands/shops located around the perimeter within the market. A definite place to shop, buy, browse and discover Korean / Asian goodies.

Great selections of Korean and Japanese foods

Yelp
Great Korean Market with a variety of Korean specialties at an affordable price. Coming from the East Bay, most of the Korean supermarkets are priced highly but here the prices are much lower and affordable. The store is quite large, clean, and has a nice layout. They have lots of fresh produce, drinks, frozen foods, snacks, and a fresh hot foods section. The Korean rice cakes tasted good, hot, and fresh at $9.99 a pack. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
I had a great experience shopping at this market! I picked up some Trolley Sour Eggs, and they were excellent--fresh and flavorful with zero issues. The store itself was very clean, with spotless aisles and even a well-maintained bathroom. They have a fantastic selection of Korean and Asian groceries, making it a perfect spot if you're looking for authentic ingredients. I look forward to coming back and exploring more of what they have to offer. Highly recommend checking it out! As for service, the checkout was quick and painless.

Yelp
This past weekend, my family and I decided to recreate the AYCE KBBQ experience at home. I like hosting these kind of dinners because it brings everyone together and we get to just relax, catch up on each other's lives, and eat KBBQ fresh off table grill! It was a very fun bonding experience for our family. If you're craving Korean BBQ but want the comfort and fun of doing it at home, this is the way to go! The night I came by, there were high traffic in the parking lot, it's usually not like that. I decided to park a little further away, no big deal. Once entering and walking around to look for the essentials. I noticed items were neatly placed on shelves with labels facing forward! The OCD in me really loved seeing that! It just made everything I needed easier to find. I picked up almost all the beef options available in the meat department (over $240) and pork belly. Was sad they did not have pork cheeks available though because it was highly requested. While it's not the cheapest , the freshness and quality of these cuts made it worth every penny. The banchan selection was top-notch!! Everything you've ever had served in any KBBQ restaurant is available, packed and ready to enjoy at home. While the supermarket does get a bit crowded, especially in the meat and vegetable sections, it's worth the patience for the quality. You might find yourself dodging other carts here and there, but the checkout process more than makes up for it. And oh! While shopping, I stumbled upon a jar of honey citron tea and now I'm obsessed! It's so good that I plan on gifting jars to everyone I know. Perfect for and after meals. Perfect for mornings or night. And perfect for on the go as a substitute for all the caffeine I've been drinking. Please refer to the photo I posted! I've had other honey citron tea (even my mother's) and this beats them all.

Yelp
Whoah! This South Korean grocery store is giant and amazing. I had no idea this place existed. I noticed it while driving by and decided to stop by. There were so many goodies, and they had everything from food to cosmetics to a deli to a bakery to seeds to "ready to go" food and a lot of other things I probably missed. They also had Kpop playing to go with it. I left with a lot of bags. The staff was super clean and friendly too.

Mario B.

Yelp
Solid Korean market that delivers on quality, options, and cleanliness. While the parking lot can get hectic quickly during busy times, it's generally not too bad. The supermarket itself is very spacious, extremely clean, and has so many options to offer! From the typical packaged snacks and drinks, to freshly made banchan and good quality meats. The prices aren't the cheapest but the quality is also high so everything seems within reason. As one of the OG Korean stores in the area, it's still a crowd favorite and I've been stopping by here over the years. The staff is generally very helpful and fast. There can be long lines at checkout but they just due to how popular and busy it can get at times. Overall, it's a good supermarket for your Korean grocery needs!

Yelp
We drove quite a distance to the S.Bay to check out Hankook. There was some insta thing that made us check them out. Hankook had some nice offerings of all things Korean. So that was in true form... fresh veggies, banchan and kimchi aisle were very nooice...great variety of snacks, noodles, frozen items...etc etc...BUT matched up to KP-Kukje-Hmart, I feel have better deals and sales and variety...imo. Also it's also very busy in Hankook, almost every aisle and line were crowded. Always w/ the kpop music so vibes were lively and fun! Not bad, but also kinda...BUT Kamsahamnida very much.

Sammi L.

Yelp
I frequent a lot of Korean markets, and Hankook is by far my favorite. I usually find myself there late on a weeknight, and there are still so many items in stock. Everything is so well organized, and the store is spaced out nicely. I've gotten overwhelmed in more cramped, crowded markets, but Hankook never feels that way. My favorite items are their prepared banchan (such a diversity of dishes), frozen items and different kimchis. Prices are comparable to other markets, and staff are always quick at the registers. We never have trouble getting parking out front either. Love Hankook!

Michael N.

Yelp
Love shopping here for everything imported from Korea. Also they have in the middle of the store prepped side dishes you usually get at kbb restaurants. I love getting the fish cakes! They have fresh produce that's really good! They have this section for pillows and housewares as well! It's a must try spot if you're looking to try a new supermarket. The soju is great to get if you're looking for something to drink at home. Tip* If you want cold drinks they have it in the corner of the store where the fridge area is. On the go cold drinks.

Yelp
This place is the bomb, we went here to grab to eat at hotel. Everything was way delicious

Gabe Y.

Yelp
One of the only places with Surasang Korean Tea (Green Tea with Roasted Brown Rice at a reasonable price. Online its $22/box of 150. Here, its $10. Their bakery and skin care area is always a joy to go to as well. They have cheap produce so we bought a lot. Very clean.

Kenji Y.

Yelp
Still has a nice selection of items, but stay away from prepacked food. The prepacked food used to be good. Now they are either old or just made wrong. I bought some prepacked vegetables that were supposedly made on the same day, but had a rotting taste. Come to think of it, it says "Packed on..." not "made on..." I guess they aren't lying. Fast and efficient staff.

Yelp
Hankook Supermarket is a fantastic spot for anyone looking for a wide selection of Asian groceries, especially if you enjoy Korean cuisine. The produce here is consistently fresh and of high quality, making it a go-to for my weekly shopping. They have a great variety of items, including fresh fruits and vegetables, seafood, and meats. The self-serve bar filled with marinated side dishes (banchan) is a highlight, perfect for anyone looking to grab quick and delicious accompaniments for their meals. A couple things to note is check-out can be long at high times and while Hankook has an impressive selection, it doesn't always carry some of the Chinese-specific items I occasionally look for, like tofu ring rolls. Still, I appreciate the quality of their fresh noodles--I've never had issues like I have at other markets. Plus, the layout is spacious and easy to navigate, making shopping here a pleasant experience. If you're nearby and looking for quality Asian groceries, Hankook Supermarket is definitely worth a visit!

Yelp
Hankook Market: Great Deals on Groceries, But Miss the Robot Restaurant! Hankook Market is my go-to for big sales on Korean groceries! They're definitely cheaper than Hmart, especially for things like makgeolli (which is the cheapest I've ever seen!). This time I came a little late in the day, so the pre-made and hot food section was pretty picked over. They also have some small clothing shops inside, but those weren't really my style. One thing that makes me sad is that the cute Korean robot restaurant that used to be inside is now out of business. That was a fun experience! Anyway, despite missing the robots, I still recommend Hankook for the amazing deals. This time I scored ice cream for only $1.99 a box like nougat, chestnut, and even Tank Boy which would normally be $5.99!

Luis M.

Yelp
You can't beat the vegetables at this place. The facility is always clean and the aisles are nice and wide. They have plenty of registers with cashiers available.

Kelli K.

Yelp
Delicious lunch at Hankook from the deli. Ordered the gimbap and japchae. The order came with free banchan (kimchi and radish) and onion(?) soup. The gimbap was soft, crunchy (center), and tasty. The japchae was light in flavor but still tasted good. The banchan was good. The radish was refreshing and the kimchi was different than expected. The kimchi had a slightly more sour flavor. The soup was good but a bit salty. Overall the meal was good.

Yelp
8/8/2023: I've been plotting visiting Hankook for YEARS since, moving to Placerville~whoa--I'm a BIG SPENDER! There are too many products Hankook Sunnyvale has in their inventory which the other Hankook Markets such Oakland CA and Rancho Cordova CA lack, i.e., product authenticity and produce freshness which by reviewing my purchase receipt, one may readily determine what and why I purchased from Hankook Sunnyvale. First, Oakland CA and Rancho Cordova CA oddly do not have in their inventory, a simple, square omelette pan nor do either stores make Korean acorn jelly or seafood Kimchee . . . Why?! I dunno the answer why . . . Sadly, I must learn how to make acorn jelly and seafood Kimchee; however and presently, I guess I'll make a yearly visit shopping at Hankook then, freeze every item in bite-size portions in order, metering how much I can inhale until, I make another trip visiting Hankook Sunnyvale NEXT YEAR . . . ?????

Yelp
I am a regular customer at this place. The problem with this place is that the Fish department needs to buck up. I love to cook Salmon and I go here because it is near my home. But the problem is that the workers in the fish department are either not bothered or lazy as whenever I ask to show me more Salmon fish as I buy a lot at one time, they will say no more( this is at 9.30am) and I have to choose from 4 to 5 pre packed Salmon which is either not fresh or looks unpleasant. I rather not waste my time in this store and rather go to 99 ranch instead. I even asked for the Cashier why is this and she asked me to speak to the people at the Fish Department( so this is going no where).

Lili C.

Yelp
Won't allow dogs in strollers to go in but will children to go in?? Doesn't make a lot of sense. Horrible service too wouldn't recommend. Do your shopping elsewhere

Marivic N.

Yelp
Was looking for a new Asian Supermarket to check out since I usually go to the common ones around my area such as Ranch 99 or Marina and I've been to Mitsuwa or H-Mart for specific Japanese or Korean groceries but when I found Hankook Supermarket under Japanese groceries in Yelp I decided to go check them out. It was amazed by how close this place was to my area located in Sunnyvale and noticed how spacious it was and filled with so many different variety of Korean and Japanese goods. Felt like a kid in a candy store going through all the different aisles and seeing things that I didn't see at other grocery stores. The selection of banchan and ready to go meals was plenty and I was practically eating with my eyes that i kept grabbing a few side dishes to take with me. Glad that they were at a decent price too. The aisle of Ramen and other noodle soups were both amazing and surprising since I saw a few things that I haven't seen before and picked up a few packs of those as well. They had a whole section of Kimchi and there's was an indoor eatery/deli where I got some seafood pancakes to go. There were so many yummy dishes available but wish I had more room in my tummy to buy more but I'll definitely be trying more next trip. They also had a small area where they were selling Japanese or Korean fashionable clothing and really cool looking shoes and accessories to choose from. I had to stop myself from buying everything I saw and told myself to head to the register to check out on my way there I noticed the bakery that they had at in the front area caught my eye so I decided to take a look. They had a whole assortment of breads, pastries, cookies and small desserts which was so hard to choose from but the lady at the register was so kind enough to give me a few suggestions. I ended up getting some sweet garlic bread sticks, a corn scone, and banana shaped cake. All were so good! Overall I'm so glad that I found this place and will definitely come back again for more goodies and grab different things from their eatery and bakery..

Helen H.

Yelp
The supermarket is quite big. I went hoping for some kimbap, but didn't find any. In the middle of the supermarket, I did find packaged sides dishes. There is also sashimi in another area. In the end, I just purchased some yummy snacks including Turtle Chips.

Winnie L.

Yelp
A lot more mom and pop than the widely famous H mart. They have a huge selection of banchon and I love picking up a couple so as to not think about side dishes during the week.

Lee D.

Yelp
3.5 Stars, but rounded up to 4. Quality/Quantity - An abundance of snacks!! See pictures. All my family favorites and for only $90. If that sounds expensive, but not when you compare it to shopping at KP Market in Oakland... Well, when I got home and ate the deli food, it was of lower quality than KP Market; so now I better understand why it is so much cheaper... Overall a good size Asain supermarket. Korean, Japanese, and Chinese foods. Produce, fish, meat, deli departments; hot foods & banchan bar. Catering available also. Atmosphere - Open 7 days a week from 8am to 9pm. They also independently operated smaller stores which include HK Super Deli, The Amore (cosmetics), Baker's Village, Roll 'N Noodle, Eden Total Fashion, and Umeken (wellness products). Plenty of private parking. Service - Good. Price - Only $90!! This would have cost $150 in Oakland. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1990. We have been a customer since then!

Yelp
Great neighborhood market with competitive prices compared to other grocery markets in the area. Hankook Supermarket is very spacious so grab a cart! VENDORS/Inside shops There are several vendors inside. At the front entrance to your right: you'll find businesses that sell: Korean skin care, herbal medicine and a pastry shop. In the back of the market, there's a Korean fried chicken joint and a general Korean fast-food restaurant where you can order from the menu, which serves up popular Korean entrees such as rice cakes, soups, noodles, etc. They also sell packaged Kim bap, packaged cooked vegetables, packaged fish cakes, meatballs and more. PRODUCE Love the produce here! Very fresh and has an array of Asian vegetables and fruits. Korean pears are one of my fav so I always grab a pack-- especially when it's on sale! MEAT There's lots of pre-sliced and packaged meat to do your own KBBQ or Shabu Shabu at home. I always enjoy their pre-packaged marinated chicken, beef, or pork for easy weekday dinner meals. SEAFOOD/SASHIMJ Lots of fresh fish available, frozen and fresh. If you're looking for sashimi or sushi related items, recommend coming here to satisfy your cravings PICKLED/SALTED ITEMS LOVE all of the pickled varieties they offer here. Literally everything you can find. I.E.: pickled radish, Kim chi radish cubes, salted fishes, cucumber salads, garlic stalk, pickled bean sprouts, and many more. CHECK-OUT very fast and diffident. Plenty of cashiers available for a smooth process. I'll definitely be back often for grocery needs.

Paula C.

Yelp
First time here, thought we checked it out since its near our hotel and we want some korean food and grocery. Its a huge grocery store so many options. They also have sashimi, seafood, and little restaurant where you can order some korean food. Sashimi was good, We ordered to eat it to go. We also bought some chips. Taro chips was so yummy. Would definitely recommend to anyone thats looking for korean grocery and food.

Sarah K.

Yelp
Place is alright. Their hot food section has definitely gone down hill from pre-COVID days but generally has side dishes or two to pick up. Service has gone super downhill though. No workers on the floor to ask questions to help us and the checkout lady just halfway stopped putting things in my bag and just handed me the receipt. While I was leaving a lady stopped me and asked if I paid "because you came from that way"????? There is only one exit route wth did that even mean. Just say you need to check, don't give a half-BS answer that doesn't even make sense.

Phil I.

Yelp
Hankook Supermarket has been around since 1990 and some of their prices are far cheaper than at H Mart though at Mega Mart they have a 30% discount on japchae, kimbaps and dumplings. But here they do have a food court specialized in delicious kimchi pancakes, udon, bibimbap and spicy rice cake (tteokbokki) which has a sweet savory taste and a mild garlicky flavor. What I liked about this market it has a large self-service bar filled with ready to eat side dishes or banchan and I loved their marinated KKQ BBQ chicken and a vast selection of Korean, Japanese, Chinese and other and other Asian products though I usually go for ramen, kamaboko fish cakes, dumplings and fresh fruits. Parking not a problem though it's best to come by early than later in the day worst on the weekends. This area is very popular with so many Korean shops and business known as Koreatown along El Camino Real.

Linh T.

Yelp
I wish there was one near me is SoCal. It just so happened that my hotel was across the street. Soooo clean and organized and the prices!

Melody A.

Yelp
Clean Korean supermarket with a sashimi area, a bakery, lots of desserts, and a little stall with tofu soup! Plus more!! Posting some of the pictures of the bakery options because look how adorable they are!!! They have Minions, piggy, panda, cookie monster themed creme puffs and more. So cute!! Good sashimi! We got salmon and uni here and the uni was sooo fresh. Delicious. Will definitely return for more.

Jen W.

Yelp
This Korean supermarket is one of the last ones standing in Santa Clara. It's a stop every time we are in the area. Although parking is crazy at times, you will always find a spot with a little patience. They have all of your Korean needs ranging from fresh veggies to banchan to marinated meat to frozen items, etc. Prices are just like most other Korean supermarkets...up and down depending on their special sales. I do enjoy shopping here every so often.

Alaric S.

Yelp
First time here! We went on a whim while we were in the area! When I first entered, I thought I was back in the Philippines! It was a combination of a grocery store a cafeteria and a shopping mall! A lot of great selection, even a hot bar! They even had the flavored almonds that I've once found at Costco during new year, but all different flavors!

John H.

Yelp
Huge fresh food section ... first stop. Plenty of options for prepared food if you prefer. Store is always clean, nice music, enjoyable experience. They even have little boutiques offering clothes, etc. if you're interested. Sales folks are very helpful to find whatever you are looking for, but I encourage browsing around to see what is new. Highly recommended shopping location.

Janice C.

Yelp
One of my fav Korean marts with plenty of variety and latest products from Korea! They have a hot food section and bakery too.

Harvey K.

Yelp
Hankook Market is located along the busy El Camino Real in Sunnyvale, just a mile or two down from The K Market. My family and I were in the area on 06/05/2021 and decided to come check this place out. We arrived at around 1:45 pm and found parking on the side of the building. People were walking in and out of the market and there was someone at the entrance monitoring the crowd. Unlike The K Market, no disposable gloves and wipes were made available for customer use. The spacious interior was very clean and well lit. There were a number of independently owned shops that sell baked goods, health products, clothing, lingerie, etc. The produce section was on the right side. It was well-stocked with a vast selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. Prices were very reasonable comparing to the 99 Ranch. Once we got out of the produce section, we came upon their famed banchan section. The selection was extensive. The three islands featured a wide array of prepackaged banchans and foods. I picked up a box of anchovies and some fish cake. There were also a couple food stalls near the banchan section that offer sushi, noodles, kimbap, pancakes, etc. The meat and seafood section offered a wide selection of items. Prices were in line with other Korean markets in the Bay Area. I paid less than $100 for a cart full of stuff. We were all impressed by the selection and the prices. If you are looking for a place to pick up delicious banchans and reasonably priced fresh produces, look no further! 4 solid stars.

Lillian M.

Yelp
Originally came here for the honey spam. Loved the variety of spams!!!!! Huge selection of different foods.

Ruth R.

Yelp
First time, lots to see, good isle spaces, to go food is awesome. Will be back for certain.

Elena C.

Yelp
One of my favorite Asian markets in the area. It's always well-stocked, clean, and has plenty of space in the isles where you don't have to feel claustrophobic. They have an amazing assortment of fresh fish and stock my favorite uni at reasonable prices. I also love that they have Choya mini bottles, as I'm obsessed with non-pickled ume and this is the only way how I can get a bunch--the alcohol is a bonus. Lol There is a little bakery inside that has my favorite almond cookies. So I always stop by to get some. The people working there are also super nice. Def a good place to get your shop on and read some fun signage (see my photo).

F T.

Yelp
Very nice store very good vegetable all bunch of Korean food really recommended you will not be disappointed

Anthony K.

Yelp
Weekly ads website is the worst. It doesn't show anything for the sales. The only way to get ad is through email, which doesn't always arrive. Why not have a link to the weekly specials pdf? Makes no sense and also causes people to shop elsewhere like H-Mart or Mega-Mart.

Emily L.

Yelp
this is one of my favorite Korean supermarket that's nearby me they have literally everything you can think of and the prices are way more affordable than most other Asian markets. The parking is pretty convenient right in the front and I love that they have ready-made food they even have like clothes and shoes and rice cookers. When I say they have everything I mean everything. The store is incredibly clean and organized, and everybody is really friendly.

Tiffany C.

Yelp
Whenever we are visiting my cousin, this is THE supermarket we like to visit! It's pretty huge and has a bit of everything...including mini shops within the supermarket, hot deli items, bakery, produce, frozen foods and lots of other typical Asian grocery items. Prices are fairly decent.

Harun R.

Yelp
Hankook is my go-to supermarket when I need Korean groceries. My roommate always goes here to get his groceries whenever he wants to cook Korean food for dinner. The fresh vegetable/fruit section is very large and quite extensive, quite fresh and relatively good quality. Prices are on par with other supermarkets like H-Mart. There is also a bakery and a couple of food court type restaurants in the supermarket. I do recommend this place for Korean groceries.

Michael L.

Yelp
Living within walking distance to Hankook Supermarket and the other amazing restaurants, coffee houses, bakeries and retailers on El Camino Real has its advantages. I come to Hankook for great fresh quality produce, seafood, meat & ready-to-eat meals including sushi, sashimi, soups, loads of side dishes & everything in between. The girlfriend likes coming here for a quick lunch in 1 of their in-house food shacks. The grocery stores we shop at often are 99 Ranch, Hankook, Mega Mart and Lions. Hankook and Mega Mart are the cleanest and aesthetically pleasing than the other 2. My friend who lives in the high desert in SoCal insists on going to Hankook to grab his favorite Korean snacks before heading home whenever he comes to visit.

Soo C O.

Yelp
We love shopping for Korean side dishes at Hankook. It is our go to place. Given they are Korean supermarket, you can find any Korean household items such as the tofu sizzling hot platter, cutleries, etc We love the Ttteobokki. It is chewy and spicy (mild). The store is clean and organized.

Lauren F.

Yelp
Well stocked | Big Korean Supermarket I love this place. I live in Oregon and came to visit family and friends in the Bay, and I seriously put this on my list of places to check out when I was in the area. Parking is small and can be a little hectic, but once you step inside, it's a great place to grab all of your Asian food and misc needs. It's a big supermarket that sells food, clothes, toys, and some household items. Everything is very neatly organized and well-stocked. I mean, an example would be the pocky stick section. We were overwhelmed with the number of choices! Lots of drinks and meat and seafood. The other little shops in the store were cute too. One lady stopped us and complimented my daughter. The workers are friendly. And the store played Kpop. BTS's Butter came on and then a remix. SO COOL. Prices are good. I discovered this new Magkeolli drink called Makku here. It's a craft Magkeolli beer. SO good! We also grabbed a lot of Korean cookies here. Will definitely come back when we visit the area again.

Yelp
Terrible service here! The manager is a fucking asshole and treats customers like dirt!! Don't come here unless you want to be disappointed!!

Yelp
Obsessed because their market is always so clean and the veggies always look so fresh! I like that this market never smells grimy or gross. Parking can be a situation but I always park on the right hand side and walk a bit. They even carry wigs and skin care lol

Yelp
Hankook Super is the most epic Korean supermarket in the Bay Area. A lot of hype has been built around H-Mart and its multiple locations out here in the bay but it doesn't hold a candle to Hankook. The pre-made food at Hankook is amazing and waaaaay better than the slop that H-Mart makes and trust me, I've been to them all. SF, the other 2 in SJ and still Hankook reigns supreme. Even the available options from the butchery and frozen aisles are better than what H-Mart offers in the bay. Koreana plaza is my 2nd best option but it's much smaller and who wants to shop in Oakland anyways. It's grimy AF. If you need Korean groceries, just go to Hankook if you're in the Southbay, otherwise the other options are "OK"

Yelp
This place used to be great but things went downhill after pandemic, the fruits and vege aren't as fresh anymore, the shelves are not filled, out of many food such as black bean sauce and they didn't not reopen their food court anymore. The only great thing I found today is the $0.99 each cheese cake, the mini cheese cake flavor is the best, followed by strawberry flavor then sweet potato flavor

Yelp
Hankook is a large Korean Supermarket. You can spend some serious time in here walking up and down each aisle! They have the largest banchan area where you can buy by weight. They also have cooked Korean food and kimbap. Also there is a clothing store, stuffed animals/toys, bakery, and a couple of other restaurants inside.
