I finally made it to Hank's and everything was delicious. I couldn't resist the stuffed turkey leg and tried the dirty rice and seafood topping. I also ordered the seafood mac and cheese as well as the BBQ nachos with brisket! We wanted to try so much more but were so full. The portions were great and price was right. I want to come back to try their ribs and the catfish along with the strawberry cake. Don't miss out on this restaurant in OKC!

Google
Got the jerk chops with fries and okra and the seafood Mac n cheese. Everything was delicious! The crawfish does have some tails but no issues. Definitely coming back here. Glad we stopped to try a new restaurant!!

Google
Our first time going to Hank’s, and it was well worth it. Large portions, incredible flavors, and the friendliness is off the charts. It’s not a fast food joint, so be prepared to come in and relax a bit, enjoy some company, and then dig in.

Renee Hart-Ellenburg

Google
Absolutely worth every penny and then some! Turkey is flavorful, juicy, and falls off the bone. The brisket sandwich is seasoned to perfection on a toasted bun. While there are a variety of sauces to choose from the meat is as it should be and doesn't need it. Our side items were fries and Mac n cheese both uniquely seasoned and complimented our main entrees perfectly.

Google
🗣Hank's OKC for the WIN!! If you haven't had it, GO GET IT TODAY! I had half smoked chicken with mac-n-cheese. He had the winglet meal with collard greens and added a side of grilled shrimp. We chose that yellow bone sauce. The food was so so good and the customer service was spot on! They spoke as soon as we walked in and made sure to do the same when we left. GO GET YOU SOME HANK'S🎉

Google
I ordered the stuffed Turkey Leg with dirty rice and strawberry cake. The turkey leg taste was bland and kind of dry overall it was tender closer to the bone. The dirty rice was very salty and tasted like it came out of a box. I did enjoy the strawberry cake. The customer service was excellent and the restaurant was very clean and they do give you a lot of food. I just wished it tasted better. They have a bar in the back and they played good music and people seemed like they were having a good time

Wow! Mouth watering good! After spending hours at the museum up the road, we needed a snack to get us going on our road trip. The lady at the gift shop told us to try Hank’s and boy were we glad she did. Coming from California, we can honestly say this was THE BEST smoked pork ribs and fried catfish we have ever had! Not only was the food incredibly good, this place was sparkling clean, the staff was amazingly friendly and attentive. Darn it, I wish we had a Hank’s in San Diego!!

Google
The food was amazing! I got a couple baskets of wings and both flavors (Honey Lemon Pepper and Sweet n Spicy) were bomb. Even the unsauced parts were very well seasoned. The wife got the Mac N Cheese stuffed Turley Leg and it was really good. 10/10 recommend. Especially on Tuesday when the Wings and Fish baskets are $7. The wife also said the bathroom was "Clean, Clean."

Jonathan B.

Yelp
A little pricey, but food was great. We had the catfish with okra and winglets. Never had better catfish.

TeAirra P.

Yelp
Just go! We got the Dirty Catfish and the ribs EVERYTHING WAS FANTASTIC. The first bite of the dirty rice had me sold. I'm not sure what they do to it but it's amazing I'll take 15 of them. The service was great food came out quick and the ladies working the food were pleasant . Will def come back when we're in OKC.

Keesha D.

Yelp
This place is just ok. The place was nice and clean. The service was really good. The food took a while to took but they checked on us frequently. My husband had the ribs. He said the flavor was good. I had the "catfish" that wasn't catfish. It was seasoned well and crispy. I ordered a piece of cornbread. It was the worse, driest piece of cornbread I ever tasted. We also had the wings appetizer. They're cooked to order so they were fresh. Pretty good. I will go back again to try something different. One more chance.

Yvonne G.

Yelp
Stopped for a bite at this eatery as we were visiting the Cowboy Heritage Museum close by. We ordered the Loaded Baked Potato with pulled pork, Side of Brisket, Baked Beans and Seasoned Fries. The Baked Potato was big and covered with a cheesy sauce with small bits of pulled pork. Kinda disappointed it did not have more pulled pork. The potato was good and flavorful. The Brisket was tender and after being added to the beans it was a good lunch option. The fries were seasoned well and yummy. The service was good and quick. Seating was adequate for the lunch crowd. A very clean establishment.

Destiny W.

Yelp
I've been on the hunt for a good soul food restaurant in okc, and I'm pleased to say everything aligned with what I was looking for. The prices are fair, portions generous, food, particularly the ribs and mac & cheese, are incredible. My ribs were moist, very well seasoned, and TENDER. The mac had such a good flavor and consistency. I was slightly skeptical at first but after that first bite I finished it all. The catfish was big, moist and crispy and well seasoned. The service was friendly, prompt and straightforward. As I was wrapping things up, lots of people were coming in and heading to the bar, so it's safe to say that everything about Hank's is flowing smoothly. I highly recommend this place if you're in the area. And if you're not, drive there-- it's worth it. I will definitely be back.

Dawn G.

Yelp
The whole fam got together to try this place for my husband's bday. We had seen TikTok's about how good it was and it did not disappoint! Loaded fries, delish. Winglets, delish. Brisket sandwich, delish. Chicken Alfredo, delish. And be sure to get some Hank's Orig sauce, so delish!

Yelp
Was visiting OKC for a funeral decided to stop by before driving back home. It was around 1:30 pm on a Saturday. There was a small line but moved fairly quickly. The wait was a bit but to be expected. My husband wanted the chicken wings but they were out so settled for the wingettes. He said they were ok nothing special. Wanted cake but they were out as well. I ordered the Sunday turkey leg. It was really good the greens were just super salty had to remove those. The staff was super friendly would return just based off them. The ambiance was nice and enjoyable.

Gus O.

Yelp
This is a neat little spot! The turkey leg and smothered half chickens look wild. Too wild for us on our visit. I went with the pulled pork fries and it was a beautiful mess. The owner came out and went table to table checking on everyone which was a nice touch. Overall it was a good experience the only downside is it does seem a little lacking for what you pay. My fries were awesome but it felt light on pulled pork. But please don't let that stop you from trying it for yourself. Everyone is different and I didn't try the staple food which seemed to be a mountain of delicious.

Kelle O.

Yelp
Amazing experience with amazing staff and bar. Food was amazing and I would love to go back at any time. The smoked wings were off the chart along with the collard greens. The people were fantastic and the drink that we had was something with rum and pineapple to die for. I will stop by all the time to pick up smoked wings and collard greens on the way home.

Jessica J.

Yelp
Service and food were amazing, I didn't get a full photo of the catfish before we devoured it. I'm low carb so the wings were amazing, will be back to try the jerk chop and turkey leg. This is a local restaurant and the bartender was amazing.

Ashley V.

Yelp
Had a rough first visit to Hank's. We visited on Sunday in which they have a DJ and drink specials available. The place was PACKED especially the patio. It seems many people come just for the drink and DJ and community. When we first entered we noticed there were flies EVERYWHERE and many tables had not been cleaned off yet. We ordered 4 entrees which came out to about $75 with one soft drink. The nachos were not good at all, the cheese taste like cheese wiz. The catfish was decent and so were the chicken wings we ordered but overall the service and cleanliness of the restaurant make me reluctant to return.

Clarissa T.

Yelp
On the hunt for a good BBQ spot for my first time in the area. Service was a little slow, you just order when you walk in, but we waited about 7 minutes before being helped (it wasn't very busy) Smoked turkey leg was good, but need a little more smoke. The skin was sticky and chewy in some places, but the meat was nice and juicy. Just need some more seasoning. Mac n cheese was ok, my collard greens were soggy and watery. I have had collard greens all over and these were sad. Baked potato was well seasoned and cooked perfectly! Brisket was good, but the bun needed to be toasted. Overall, this place is cute, and the food has to get 3 stars for our visit. I'm thinking the catfish is what you'd order here because it was sold out along with the cornbread! I'll never know

Victoria N.

Yelp
Lunch today was okay. But I was not fond of the wait, we didn't get our orders until 30 minutes later. Still, customer service was good. We had two staff that came and checked on us towards the end of our meal. Their smoked ribs are okay, quite salty. The ribs had a good char but some pieces were meatier than others. I had the Hank's sauce with the ribs, which was slightly sweet and fruity. I like the sauce a lot. The mac n cheese looks good but once you bite into it, it's quite dry and bland. I'm not a brisket person but theirs were delicious. The meat was sprinkled with some herbs which added some freshness to it. I wished the sandwiches came with a side because it got pricey after adding a side to it.

Jared M.

Yelp
I got the rib plate with fries and a side of Mac and cheese. Ribs had a good bark to them. Super flavorful. I wish the different flavors of bbq sauce was pointed out when I ordered because I couldn't get any when I got my food. There was a little bit of a line. There was bbq sauce on the table, but I wanted some spicy bbq sauce. (First world problems). The lobby was comfortable and warm.

Ebony W.

Yelp
This was my first time coming to Hank's. I came because I have heard a lot of good things about the food, but today must have been an off day. The Mac n cheese was mushy, and the greens were undercooked for my personal taste. The cornbread muffin was under cooked also it was doughy. The service Tamera was great she was patient with us since this was our first time. They played some really good music and it was not too loud you could still have a conversation with the person across from you. The dirty rice was decent overall it was not a good eating experience.

Daniel M.

Yelp
The food was great collard greens were amazing. The staff was very friendly. The ambiance was nice.

Yelp
Food: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: ? I tried to go for the first time on a Saturday. The wait was too long and my blood sugar was too low so my husband and I decided to come back during the week. We walked in on a Tuesday and we able to order right away. So pro tip go during the week. I ordered the stuffed Turkey leg with macaroni and cheese and my husband ordered the Alfredo and fried wings with Mac and cheese. When we got our water cups we were told the ice machine was out and we would need to go to the bar for ice. Ok. Plus I can check out the happy hour. They had lots of drinks but none I wanted so I ordered a double shot of vodka and pineapple juice and got two cups of ice. The bar was full and you order your drinks and go back to your table. Right when I was walking back my food was delivered and the Alfredo my husband ordered. His wings had 8 more minutes. He should have been told that when he ordered or shortly after. Overall the Turkey leg was ok. It was a tad dry. I'm not a big fan of them but I wanted to try it because this is what they're known for. My husbands Alfredo was spicy but he enjoyed it. The wings looked great but he asked for all flats and didn't get that. The foiliners are a nightmare to eat on, your fork will poke through and you have to be careful not to eat it. The macaroni and cheese was decent. I'll wait a few months and go back. The art is amazing but the decor is standard BBQ decor.

Kimberly H.

Yelp
The mac n cheese was good. Turkey leg good.. the rest was ok. The portions were to small .

Juliana L.

Yelp
Hank's was good. I got the baked potato. It did not have as much meat as I expect. The flavor was good. Hank actually came to our table so make sure our food was good. Super nice guy. The ambiance is nice. A cozy restaurant with a few places for larger groups.

Adam S.

Yelp
Came from out of town after seeing this place on TikTok. It lived up to the hype. My son got wings, mac n cheese and cornbread. The wings were huge and he says it's the best mac n cheese he's had. I had to try the famous stuffed turkey leg and it was amazing. On top of all of that the service was great! They explained the dishes, didn't rush us to make a decision and were constantly checking on us to make sure we were doing well and the food was good. Overall it was AMAZING!

Rebekah G.

Yelp
I was so excited when I found this place! I thought finally a good bbq place to eat it at, but I won't be adding it to my favorites sadly. I will start on a good note despite having some hiccups, my food and my friends not showing up, our waitress, bless her heart bc I think she was the only one that day was working her butt off! She was apologetic and got us our food right away. 3 of my friends had brisket, 1 had the turkey leg and I got sides. All 3 agreed that the brisket was dry, so dry the bbq sauce didn't help. Turkey leg was good so maybe that is the meat to get. My collard greens had good flavor but the meat in it was tough, the mac and cheese was ok, and the fried okra sadly was over fried and soaking in oil. i know they were very busy that day but i just expected the quality to be better.

Jaime T.

Yelp
SO GOOD! The atmosphere was nice, comfortable and very clean! We thoroughly enjoyed pretty much one of everything on the menu. We'll be back!

Bill W.

Yelp
The restaurant is clean and fresh looking. The menu is varied but not complicated. We ordered a variety of items and shared them around the table. As soon as we started we wanted more and more. If you're not careful, it's easy to overeat! Delicious barbecue. We'll definitely be back.

Janee' T.

Yelp
This food was so bomb. Wings with honey lemon pepper, bomb asf; a little over cooked but still delicious . Fried okra bomb. Fried catfish, crispy and bomb asf. Baked beans, on point. Loaded fries, to die for. Ribs, hitting. Mom loved the mac. Green koolaid so good . Bar was hitting. Cornbread muffin was good! We will definitely be back! Server were amazing. The place is a vibe !

Chris L.

Yelp
A friend told me I needed to try Hank's. They'd been there a couple times and she really liked the catfish. I like catfish; even had a catfish sandwich for lunch yesterday. My go-to place was a victim of the pandemic and I've been searching for a new favorite catfish spot. Well, this ain't it. I did like the cornmeal breading. It was nicely seasoned and crispy. Easily the best part of the meal. The catfish itself was mushy in places. Another minute in the fryer would have improved it greatly. I would imagine they were trying to get it out as fast as possible since it had been more than 35 minutes since I placed my order. What bothered me more than the long wait for mushy catfish was that I'd paid $15 for a single filet and a cup of okra. I nearly fell over when they set it in front of me. One filet? Was this some special waygu catfish or something? The whole catfish sandwich I'd had the day before was $3.99, and there sure wasn't an $11 difference between that and this. I know things are higher these days, but catfish places will give you at least two good filets, fries and maybe even a hush puppy or two for this price.

Teah W.

Yelp
It was my first time on a Tuesday afternoon here I got the Big Easy which was good but majority of it was rice which was cooked too long and it had a sauce on top that wasn't tasty to me. Tried some of the Church on Sunday and that was better. The corn muffin didn't taste done. Loved my baked beans . Tamera took our order brought our food she was super nice and patient. I ended up getting a drink it was too much if the alcohol for me. The noise volume was quite low.

Jackie H.

Yelp
This was our second visit at 8pm Saturday evening on 9.23. Timing for restaurants is always important, especially when you know they will sell out. Our first visit at 4pm was out of stuffed chicken. Naturally, this visit they were out of chicken, brisket, and baked potatoes. We asked for our order to-go since the tables were full. It took 45 minutes to be ready but it was hot and fresh. The ribs were delicious and melted like butter. We did not like the dirty rice side with the sauce but the loaded fries were a decent substitution for a baked potato at 8pm. It's currently $2 per can of soda but the woman at the register mentioned they're working on a full replacement of the fountain machine. The restaurant can run out of tables fairly quick when they're busy. There is a section to wait for to-go orders and about 6 seats available on the front porch. You order at the register on the left. You're given a table number with your receipt and you seat yourself. The parking lot is easy to miss because it's separate from the Hank's sign but there's a decent amount of parking. Original review: I'll add more detail later but holy fire - what a great meal. We dined in and waited about thirty minutes after we ordered. 9.16.23 @4pm

Yelp
A few coworkers gathered at Hank's. My first visit. My fam in tow! Great food and even better service. Met the owner...great guy.

Alan G.

Yelp
"If it ain't Hank's, no thanks!" That's the tagline for Hank's and we can definitely see why. We literally just pulled up on a whim and we're surprised to find a small building packed with cars all around. Stepped inside to a line of people snaking through the restaurant to place their orders. It was a steady flow of people. The place is fairly decent in size with 3 seating areas- one being a bar. The inside is colorful, clean and inviting. Unfortunately the wait for the food was LONG. We waited about an hour BUT they made it up to us. :) The people were really kind. This place is obviously known for their smoked meat but my family prefers non-smoked and we honestly went straight for the fried wings. Here's what we ordered: 3 entrees of fried wings with Hank's sauce, Buffalo Sauce and Yellow Bone. The sauces were just drizzled on the wings, it wasn't fully coated, so definitely different. The Hank's sauce reminded us a bit of a honey mustard. Yellow Bone was actually a bit similar but with a hickory taste. Sides were fried okra, Mac n cheese, and baked beans. We asked for a cornbread muffin but alas, they were out. Fried okra - great! Mac n cheese wasn't saucy but it was good. Real simple. Baked beans were tangy and sweet - delicious! We also ordered Nachos with chopped brisket - this was fun to eat because the Nachos were literally Doritos Nacho Cheese with gooey cheese and brisket. Kids especially enjoyed it. Lastly, we ordered a seafood Mac n cheese with shrimp and crawfish. Similar to the regular but it had seafood and Cajun seasoning sprinkled on it. Oh, and let's not forget our Smoked Ribs! I know we said we don't like smoked but when we saw these come out, we couldn't resist. We liked it but I promise you if you like smoked meat, you'll LOVE this. Our family is just weird like that. Haha. We asked for the loaded baked potato but they were out of potato. The wings entree were listed as $15 for six wings and one side. Ribs were a 3 piece. Looking at the sides, we made the assumption that the price was a bit pricey comparable to the portions. But, when the food came out, we noticed they gave us 8 wings per order instead of 6 and 4 ribs instead of 3. Score! And you know how I said they made the wait time up to us? A nice lady came by and said "I heard you guys had ordered some corn bread but we were out. We have a bit now and I can bring some." She literally brought out two scrumptious slightly sweet slices of their cornbread. For them to even remember we ordered cornbread an hour prior and offer it without taking payment- that's customer service! Overall, we were happy and here's your opportunity for a better day as well. Go check it out!

Caleb P.

Yelp
I was looking for a place to eat after visiting the cowboy hall of fame and stumbled upon Hanks. Extremely happy we tried it because the food was insane! I had the Turkey leg stuffed with dirty rice, crawfish, and shrimp. So goood! The employees extremely helpful and attentive as well.

Tamise C.

Yelp
Plenty of parking and plenty of seating! The food is decent. We wanted some good bbq and chose this spot based on the seafood options. I got the Nacho with seafood and didn't care for it. It was Doritos, it didn't come out hot and wasn't worth the cost. My family got the loaded fries with pork and brisket. They loved it! They agreed that the queso was cold. They said the sis of Mac and cheese was ok, too! The Big Easy stuffed Turkey was alright. Nice presentation and nice portion size. Wish it could've been more flavorful. Overall, it was a decent experience

Kristen F.

Yelp
I had the brisket nachos. They were really good. The brisket was moist and flavorful and the cheese was good. The staff was friendly. There was a good vibe in the restaurant and everyone was in good spirits. I will be back to try more of the menu and some drinks from the bar.

Emmy M.

Yelp
It was really great to find a bbq place open on New Year's Eve and the restaurant itself has a cool vibe. I especially liked the women's restroom and the art on the walls. My meal was pretty mediocre- we were there for baked potatoes but they were out so I switched to the nachos and was prepared for a dorito version. They were also extremely sweet which I wasn't anticipating. For the cost I didn't think the value was there but perhaps I just ordered the wrong item.

Lucille W.

Yelp
I give this place a 5 star because every thing was great and I don't want to short a star because of one bad apple. I was happy to see they were open on Christmas Eve. This was my son and I first time dining here. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with a hello from an employee that was close to the kitchen area Now, here goes the bad apple part. The cashier was so rude, immediately!! No, hello, welcome, how can I help you or anything like that. I mean immediately rude for no apparent reason. I told her this was our first time being here, she looked at me with no expression. So, I said what are those drinks (I pointed at the bottles of juice behind her) she answered extremely quick and low. I asked her what is the Brooklyn Lemonade? She said that those! I said, so they are different lemonade flavors (they were different colors in the bottles not just yellow like the original lemonade). She shrugged and said yeah! After that, I paid and sat down to wait for our food. She didn't say it's self seating. Once our food arrived, she physically slide out from the side of the booth we were sitting. Didn't say enjoy or any nice gesture. My 7 year old son noticed the behavior of her as well and he said, mommy she's talking to the other customers more than she was talking to us and she is smiling to them. I asked another employee who walked passed while checking on us if I could get a Togo box. And she came around and she checked on the other customers except us. And at first I thought I was being a little too aware but when I noticed that I knew I wasn't seeing things. She was so friendly to everyone else who came through the door. They were all older people in their 60s and men she greeted in a happy manner. I made sure to get her name. DeAshia C. one of the rudest cashiers I've ever experienced. I hope the owner sees this because I know I'm not the only one who experienced this customer service. It's so sad that it's always just one. I'm all about supporting the black owned businesses because there is a lack of support and majority of the time it's because of employees like DeAshia C. The Stuff Turkey Leg with Mac & Cheese was delicious and their lemonade fruit punch and green apple was so good.

M B.

Yelp
Food was excellent ! Service perfect ! This is on the rotation fer sure ! Great atmosphere

Kristina F.

Yelp
Wonderful service, and amazing food. We will definitely be going back. I had the dirty rice stuffed chicken and my husband had the Mac and cheese stuffed chicken both were amazing. The chicken just fell off the bone.

Kortney P.

Yelp
The food had a lot of queso and a small amount of meat. The nachos were made with Doritos. All in all, we didn't love it.

Kortney E.

Yelp
Clean area with fast service and the food is AMAZING! Give it a try! We will definitely be back soon!

Mallory L.

Yelp
Yesterday was my boyfriend and I's first time trying Hank's. I had been following the IG page for a while and then started to notice the food pop up on my TikTok feed as well. Needless to say the food appeared very appetizing. We arrived around 4. It was slightly busy, but nothing unreasonable. Even with it being busy we still got our food within a matter of 5-10 minutes. We ordered two smoked turkey legs and two sides (Mac and cheese and greens), the price was a bit steep coming out to $64 after tip. I can't speak on the ambiance of the restaurant due to us getting our food to go. However, the music while we were there was great Upon getting home we sat down got everything prepared to eat, I was slightly surprised. The greens were absolutely delicious and didn't have pork which was a win in general for us. Mac and cheese was a little bland for my palate I did end up having to add some Tony's creole seasoning. Our turkey legs were so tender they fell off the bone, it was just missing a little something, so I did take the juices from my greens and poured it all over the turkey meat, that was exactly what it needed. Overall we would definitely eat here again. I'd say if you're looking to splurge and try something new and local this spot is the place. One leg and two sides is enough for two people to split, especially if you're looking to cut on cost but keep a feasible amount of food. Only "negative" (and I use the word lightly), there were no sweet potatoes, peach cobbler, or banana pudding. I would've loved to see those on the menu.

Ochai B.

Yelp
Favorite bbq spot in okc! Service is always fast and responsive, there will be a wait if you come at prime hours but definitely worth it. Ambiance is always welcoming.

Erika D.

Yelp
I got the dirty catfish and nachos. I have to say this was the best catfish I've ate in years! I'm visiting from Phoenix and found this treasure. Food was amazing and everyone there was so friendly! We loved our waitress she was the best! I would fly back to Oklahoma just to eat here again!

Ronnie C.

Yelp
This place was amazing!!! We walked in ask if they had a table for 8 and they got us in quick!!! The service here was fantastic! They treated us like family and it was our first time here!!! We will back for sure

Grant G.

Yelp
Don't waste your time or money. Extremely overpriced. Service is terrible. Lazy and inattentive. What kind of bbq joint doesn't carry brisket? Food was almost average. Turkey leg was extremely overcooked. Bbq is too sweet. Avoid this place unless they get new staff and better menu. If you want bbq go down the road to Clark's Crew.

Stirling R.

Yelp
Service, ah, yeah, I'm gonna Karen this. None of it was good, warm, kind, or anything you'd equate to running a good business. What in the Doritos hell are you all doing with your "nachos"? Abhorrent. Turkey leg? Dry. Um, no. Just, just carry on.

Ryan C.

Yelp
First time ever visiting Hank's. Ordered the Stuffed Turkey leg with seafood Mac. Also tried the Catfish plate with the dirty rice. Everything was hot and amazing. Took a nap after.

Misty S.

Yelp
The turkey legs are delicioussssly packed with smokey flavor I got it with hanks sauce and a side of okra and the Brooklyn lemonade! Definitely will come back and it's worth the hype can't wait to come back for the drinks!

James W.

Yelp
Good food. Good music. Decent stage. AC seems good. Nestled in massive Dallas traffic.

Jeff V.

Yelp
Came here while on a work trip. Had the brisket sandwich with a side of fries. Food was very good and the service was excellent. The staff here is very nice and accommodating.

Shelby J.

Yelp
First time trying Hanks & it won't be my last. 10/10 on the food & service. Ribs were fresh & didn't require any sauce. I got the famous Hank's sauce to try though and it did not disappoint, complimented the ribs perfectly.
