Hanna & Tiger Asian Mart Review - Kendall - Miami - The Infatuation

"Hanna & Tiger is a well-stocked Asian market with several locations around Miami—in Kendall, Coral Gables, and Sweetwater. If you’ve seen a trendy Asian snack or dessert while scrolling, they probably have it here (yes, they’ve got those Chinese mango ice cream pops). But you can also shop for a full meal. There are rows of frozen dumplings, thinly sliced meat for hot pot, chips, sauces, and alcohol options that range from soju to Korean rice beer. There’s also a corner display with some ready-to-eat snacks like onigiri and gyoza. Whether you’re a dedicated Asian market enthusiast, or just need something easy for dinner that night, this place is worth a stop." - Ryan Pfeffer

Hannah and Tiger’s Asian Mart has been on my list for a while. I’ve wanted to check them out since I saw that they sell the viral fruit ice cream. I was actually in the area and they were four minutes from where I was so I had to check them out. I love discovering new Asian Marts as they carry different items and it’s fun to walk around and explore. There is also a small food spot connected to the Asian Mart. I will also say it was difficult to find which door was the actual entrance. I thought maybe they were closed, but I finally found the door to enter all the way on the left side. Hannah and Tiger’s Asian Mart has an extensive amount of unique options for such a small space. Somehow I walked out of there with $93 worth of Asian groceries. I don’t even know what I bought. Lol. Finally got to try the viral fruit ice cream, snagged the Summer Lemon flavor. They also had the blue milk flavored and lime flavored options. They sell each one for $5.99 or a 3-pk for $15.99. Way less expensive than the ones I found at the Indian market that sold each one for $7.99, including if you bought it in a 3-pk version. Heliah, I may have jacked up her name and if so I’m sorry. She was working and I got to chat with her while she rang me up. Very sweet and friendly. I saw they had the frozen potato bread but I wanted the purple potato bread you can only find in Cali at H Mart. She said they usually have it but may be sold out. I’ll be back for those. Another thing is the area where check out is can get very tight and intimate when there is a line. Cute Asian market. They are small but also have 4 locations total in Killian, Sweetwater, Coral Gables and South Miami. I’ll have to scope out the other locations too.

This Asian supermarket has an incredible variety of products! From Japanese snacks to Korean sauces and Chinese dumplings, it’s a great place to explore new flavors and ingredients. Everything is well-organized and easy to find.

Google
Was here April 2024. Place is smaller than expected, but I did have most of the stuff I needed. The price is average. There's some good find. They have cute stuff, too. This Asian market has Chinese, Japanese, and Korean food. Would highly recommend a visit 👌 Forgot to mention. Inside this market has a cute little restaurant. Cute design. Would like to try next time around.

Google
Hanna & Tiger's is a great little shop with a wonderful selection of various Asian products hard to come by in your typical grocery store. I highly recommend their beer and sake selection. Especially the SAPPORO and Asahi brands consistently found in the mart. If you're looking for something closer to a Lager, No Mames beer is one they stocked recently, it has a nice kick to that's sure to get you your money's worth. For sake, I recommend the Ozeki Nigori Cloudy Sake brand. Comes in various flavors like Strawberry, Pineapple, and Yuzu. If you want something a bit more in-between, there's Korean soju as well. Sometimes on rotation is the Jinro brand Soju. Also comes in a variety of flavors like Ozeki Nigori. Next best recommendation is the wide selection of milk-tea and coffee. I especially recommend the Boss Coffee and UCC brands. Those never miss. They even recently stocked some flavored milks that come in banana, strawberry, and peach flavors from the +28 Street brand. Real hard to come across here in the U.S. but they all go great with the wide array of light snacks they have. It doesn't end there either. They have other Asian soft-drinks like Ramune and Ocean Bomb brands. Speaking of, their selection extends to well known brands here, like Lays, Doritos, Kit-Kat, and more. With flavors almost exclusively available to Asian regions. There's going to be a few that I'm sure will catch your eye, and any of the drinks above will go great with it. Other than their products, their staff are super helpful and very kind. They were quick to answer any questions or concerns I had, and were more than willing to check backroom stock for anything they haven't been able to stock yet. Overall outstanding experience, and I really recommend anyone come give the store a shot if you have an interest in Asian produce and items you won't find elsewhere in the U.S.

Google
I love the other location in coral gables, my fist and last time in this location, the customer service is -10/10 I was looking for a simple item that cannot find myself and I when I went to ask for help I was received with disregard and ultimately did not find help… I guess the guy clearly felt sick or was not his best day… Anyway, The guys in coral gables have a 10/10 🙂

Yelp
This is a nice Asian market sharing a location with The Good Chef restaurant (see my other review). I went to the Good Chef and then meandered in this Asian grocery store afterwards. (Hand in glove so to speak) I recommend for your Asian purchases.

Yelp
Disclaimer: Review based on one time visit only since I'm not from the area. Summary: I'd go back if I were in the area. They have a variety of mainly Japanese and Korean groceries. You'll find the ingredients you need to make an authentic or rather as close to authentic dishes you could make. Fresh Veggie Aisle: Basic fresh veggies you need in order to whip up a delicious meal. Instant Ramen Aisle: They have plenty of instant ramen to choose from. Note, you'll find this in two places, one is in the front store, where the cashier is, just before you enter the back store. The second is second aisle from the veggies aisle, which is all the way to the wall, R side facing the entrance to the second/back store. Hope that makes sense Anyway, the first one is where you'll find instant ramen that is in a bowl whereas the second one is where you'll find the traditional packaged instant ramen. Snacks Aisle: Yum! I found so many snacks that are only available when you go to the country (ie. Thai Lays chips, different flavored Japanese KitKat chocolates, etc). BTW, don't waste your money on the pineapple buns that's individually packed in blue packaging; I was imagining the delicious Chinese Pineapple Buns, this was a disappointment. Sauces and Spices Aisle: Plenty to choose from! I even saw black garlic Freezer Aisle: I did not see a lot of frozen desserts, probably just one fridge, only one side, while there were about 5 more freezers for meats, buns, etc. Drinks: Lots of Asian drinks including the soda, Ramune drink. Cosmetics: This one is in the front store. I did not pay much attention to what they offer but I did notice they have some. Service: Approachable and friendly cashier. Casual. No need to wear fancy clothes

Yelp
Shopped here after dinner in their restaurant section (Good Chef Restaurant). I was so full so it helped to walk around a bit and check out all the yummy Asian treats! I was so tempted to buy the whole store but with a little self control, I narrowed it down to a few Oreo snacks and some Lays chips with unique flavors. I definitely want to come back to try MORE yummy snacks and drinks! It's such a fun vibe!

Yelp
Big asian market. Love coming here to get all protein and ingredientes for a nice hot pot

Yelp
Hanna & Tiger's carries asian stuff. Lots of chips, candies, drinks that you are unable to find or will see a limited selection in other places. Yes, your go to asian store but others have better selection with items. Store kept very clean and organized. Veggies are not the best.

Yelp
This is what Kendall needed! If you're looking for Asian staples, in addition to specialty treats and snacks, this is a must visit! The store is clean, well stocked and staffed with knowledgeable, friendly people. We purchased a wide range of items including fresh veggies. Parking and location are great- it's right in front of Miami Dade College. We are thrilled to find this spot.

Yelp
Well, I was really excited to check this place out, it's really cute and has a variety of Asian snacks, but I was looking for fresh vegetables (which was very minimal), fresh noodles and cuts of meat for Japanese, Thai & Chinese dishes, but their fresh noodle & meat selection was extremely limited, and they only had frozen meat. Needless to say- we didn't find what we were looking for so we didn't purchase anything.
google avatar

Yelp
Wonderful selection of Korean snacks, including Buldak and Shin ramen and unique flavors of American brand chips! I love coming here to stock up on my favorites.

Yelp
This market is located inside of The Good Chef Restaurant. I had originally planned to just have lunch at the restaurant, but, the bright colors and the different snacks shown from the market caught my attention! I decided to go, and what a surprise! This market has a lot of snacks and asian products brought from Japan. It was very interesting to see our well known snacks in different variations and colors never seen before. There were shrimp Doritos, milk Skittles, and many other sweets I had never seen before! I walked through the isles and I was so curious to see all of those different flavors. I also made a purchase myself, and I was surprised on how cheap these items were. I bought like 5 items and my total was $10. Thus, I believe this place is very good if you want to try something new! The snacks were also really good! I will definitely will be back to buy more soon.

Yelp
This is exactly what south Miami needed! I've been to this place twice now and I love it. Compared to the other Asian markets here, this one is the best! It's clean, has music, and bright lighting. To me, these are all important to have the best customer experience. Everything is also very affordable.

Yelp
It's really nice to have another Asian Market available in the community, especially close to the local university and not so far away. The mart is small, located inside next to Good Chef, so you can dine and shop if you wanted to. They have a little bit of everything such as vegetables, fruits, sauces, dry goods, snacks, drinks, frozen items, seafood, baked goods, over-the-counter medicine, and more. I suggest double checking the prices during check-out because it's happened to me before that the register rung up a higher price than the price tags. They won't adjust the price, so either part ways and get a refund, or pay the price increase. I also suggest double checking the expiration dates because I've found some items that were expired. Parking is plenty in the plaza.

Yelp
Great location! I heard about the opening thru tik tok and decided to come check it out. This store is located right across from miami dade community college kendall campus. Very clean and organized store, friendly and helpful staff. Bought a few things for my daughter for a care package for college. They have a ton of selection from food to toiletries. Must check it out!
google avatar

Yelp
If you're looking for snacks from Asia, this is the spot!!! There's a huge selection of snacks from Korea, Hong Kong, Korea, and beyond. I wanted to buy so much more but really had to contain myself.
google avatar

Naomi K.

Yelp
Probably the cleanest Asian market I've been to in Miami, well organized and nothing looked dusty or expired and the prices seemed fair. They take visa with a $10 minimum which is convenient if you don't carry cash. Combinations of Japanese, Korean, Thai but mostly Chinese products as well as some fresh veggies and noodles. The lady was bilingual and friendly. Close and convenient, will definitely be back

Yelp
When I took the product! The price is showed $5.99 But when I checked out ! They scanned come out is $11.99 I asked them go with me for check it ! The cashier told the price ! ! And took me that $11.99 They just wanted sell the price they want !

Yelp
Owned by the same couple who opened the very popular Chinese Guy restaurant just a few doors down, this little grocery store selling Asian (mostly Chinese) grocery items will sure to please the many FIU students nearby. It has just opened for a few weeks, so currently the shelves are a bit empty and the selection limited. I went looking for the few things on my shopping list but did not find what I need. As business grow and they get to know their customers better, I am sure the variety will improve. Nonetheless, it's a small store with just two aisles, so the selection will never be anywhere close to say Wing Fa, not to mention Food town or Oriental Mart. Good place for grabbing a few essentials or if you don't want to drive far, You get 5% discount when you show them a receipt from Chinese Guy, and it works the other way too, you get 5% off your restaurant bill with a receipt from here. The receipt works for 30 days. Great for getting a meal and then an ice pop or drink here afterwards.

Yelp
This is the cutest, not so little place. They have done some major work here, Expanding the footprint. And that's a good thing because they can cram more goodies inside. If you like Asian treats and noodles this is the place to check out. Shelves full of ramen and spices. Freezers lined with frozen buns and meats. They even have a small section of fresh, and interesting produce. Such fun to look around and see what you want to try. From myriad coffee drinks to spicy hot sauce packs. Hanna & Tiger has a wide variety of items lurking about. Come in and browse. I guarantee you won't leave empty-handed.

Valentina U.

Yelp
I love going here every now and then with my parents! I alway love picking up character themed snacks and lots of really good drinks! the service is also amazing! I love how nice the staff is and I just have so much fun when I go here! definetly recommend!
google avatar

Neetu D.

Yelp
Good choice of Chinese ingredients and fresh vegetables. Good chef Asian Chinese restaurant is adjoining the supermarket. Easy access in Doral
google avatar

Wai Q.

Yelp
It's either the business is at a poor location or person in charge of ordering supplies doesn't know how to order. I do like some items in the market but, I've never been in a market who sells expired food.
google avatar

Rachel L.

Yelp
Neat, well-organized with plenty of selection. I went in to browse and left with bags full of items, since it was cheaper than my local Asian market (iFresh) by a fair amount. There isn't a deli section here, but they do have a cafe where they serve snacks and desserts. If you're looking for a specialty Asian grocery this place will probably have what you need, plus plenty of other goodies to try out! There's also an Indian market in the same plaza! Definitely plan on coming back whenever I'm in the area.
google avatar

Yelp
Honestly the best oriental market in the kendall area :-) they have everything you need!
google avatar

Stephanie P.

Yelp
Honestly I love this place. So much variety ! They have produce, meats, sweets, drinks! I was in shock when I walked in and saw how much they had to offer. I was looking for Japanese Mayo today and ended up buying so many snacks! Cannot wait to try. If you're looking for an Asian mart in the sweet water area this is the place for sure
google avatar

Yelp
I drove an hour to go to this store. It's located in Miami and I never thought that this market would have a nice little restaurant in there. The services were awesome and the employees are friendly and helpful. It was definitely worth the drive!

Mirtha E.

Yelp
We drive by it all the time always though of going in never did , till my daughter's friend recommend it & they both went. Great food market, love all they have & prices are reasonable. So if you're in the area & looking for Asian food or you have never tried ! What are you waiting for
google avatar

Manjari H.

Yelp
These guys have a really nice stock of all things Asian! Loved it! The produce is fresh. There's a huge variety of noodles, seafood, meats, spices, wrappers and sauces. Aside from that they also have a huge selection of ready to cook/eat stuff. A must visit place for Asian food lovers.

Jenifer R.

Yelp
Everything we ordered was delicious and was something I have never had before here in Miami. The food was of high quality and offered many different options on the menu. I love our server who was very attentive and cared about our experience( you don't see this a lot) and was even worried about any dietary restrictions! Food and service 10/10 I ordered the kimchi fried rice, spicy wontons, and Mongolian beef!
google avatar

Erika H.

Yelp
This place is amazing!! The people there are very kind, their food is delicious and great quality, and I love the wide variety of snacks and other items from there! I recommend this place 100% and I will definitely be coming here often and bringing my friends & family here :) Thank you so much to the owner and the workers for making the experience so wonderful!
google avatar

Cinthia M.

Yelp
I went there with my friend in search for melona bars. They ran out of the melon flavor, BUT they had so many other things like drinks that I was never able to find in HMart or Lotte Plaza that they did. Loved it!
google avatar

Angel P.

Yelp
This place has a very large variety of grocery items. This is the best Asian market I have been to in Miami. It is very well organized, even if you do not understand what it says, due to its placement, you have a good idea of what those items are.
google avatar

Paris D.

Yelp
They provide gloves when you shop. The store is super clean and staff super friendly and helpful. One of the best Asian grocery stores in Miami.
google avatar

Wilson L.

Yelp
This new Hanna Tiger Market across from MDC is sooo convenient and close to home. Has everything I was looking for, even Singha, Asahi Beers, Soju Sake. fresh vegetables, taro, Korean, Chinese, Japanese products and snacks. I was looking for dried squid snack and they had it. Store is well organized, just recently opened from9am to 9pm.
google avatar

Heinrich V.

Yelp
This little market it's a hidden gem! They have top products and best quality items. It's fun coming here and always walking out with something new and cool to try at home. We come about twice a week, we love it!
google avatar

Gabriel R.

Yelp
This shopping mall is a bit of a hidden gem in my opinion, with a variety of ethnically diverse shops/markets/restaurants. The mall seems small and maybe outdated, but it isn't and definitely worth going to!!! I have to say, I was sad to see "Chinese Guy" restaurant close during the COVID pandemic, but this market is amazing! The market has great produce. Fresh and amazingly priced, with a great selection of fresh produce including varieties of fresh mushrooms. In addition, there are a good amount of snacks/teas, as well as actually grocery for your typical Asian cuisine needs. Multiple types of grains, sauces, spices, ingredients, and even frozen foods galore. I'm not sure how they were able to fit as much as they have into their little space, but they managed it and I'm thankful. They do still have a restaurant available. I've tried quite a bit of their food including mapo tofu, pork buns and other types of dim sum, and quite a few other dishes and it really is scrumptious! I wholeheartedly recommend this place. The staff is also incredibly sweet, and really go above and beyond to try and meet all needs! I even found out on my last trip that they sometimes do delivery if requested ahead of time. The owner will at times organize delivery for larger orders and people that may have difficulty making it out. I love this place and y'all should try it out. I want them to stick around, so I need them to have consistent business people!

Michelle M.

Yelp
Very nice asian market. Has very unique items. Has things other asian markets in the area dont have. Very friendly service.

Damarys M. C.

Yelp
A MUST VISIT FOR ALL THINGS ASIAN!! FORGET LUCKY'S! I've visited Lucky's for years, but was never happy! They seldom helped you unless the Spanish guy was there. The place is messy and sometimes didn't smell that great. I found this place, HANNA, and have to admit looking at it from the outside I almost didn't go in. Also, it looked closed. Then I realized they opened a restaurant so they had a separate entrance. The place was so clean and had so many options specially seasonal. Also, if hey didn't have something they said they would order it for me. They helped me find everything I needed and more! I'm going back this weekend to try the restaurant the menu looked really good!
google avatar

Jose D.

Yelp
I love this place. They have so much cool stuff available and the service is phenomenal. All the staff are friendly and had one of the gentlemen that work there asked if I needed help taking my stuff to the car ( because I bought half of the store ) and he helped me. Best service ever and even the way they tie the bags. I love it all..... make sure to try the restaurant as well. Fresh amazing food that's cooked to order. Make sure to check it out, you won't regret it.
google avatar

Gloria H.

Yelp
Great lil market for all your Asian needs. They have a variety of buns, dumplings, and noodles and there's even a small restaurant in the back.

Yelp
This Asian market is the absolute best! My family and I come every week. It's clean, affordable, and offers a variety of products. We feel safe and enjoy the friendly staff.

Yelp
My favorite Asian market!!! This place is not only in a convenient location, right by FIU and two doors down from their restaurant, but you CAN'T beat these prices! I used to go to Lucky Oriental Mart but I can't deny how amazing the prices are here at at Hanna and Tiger's!!! (Also I live at FIU so it's much closer lol) The owner and both ladies who work the register are very nice and helpful. They offer hot pot ingredients as well! I have my own hotpot machine so I buy my soup base here, I love the Little Sheep spicy. They also sell beef and lamb for hot pot and fresh veggies :) anything you can think of, they have it! Milk tea, Asian ice cream, beer, and all kinds of snacks and sweets They even sell their handmade noodles! And other handmade items from the restaurant vacuum sealed! Sometimes the owner takes requests on what customers would like for her to restock in the market. Please come check it out, you won't regret it!

Ariie M.

Yelp
Super cozy mini markets has al the Asian goods snd the lady working there is super friendly.

Yelp
Great service, great selection, great prices, fresh produce! Also I see them sanitize surfaces often and everyone wears masks, so you can feel safe in covid times. Best Asian mart in town!

Yelp
You can find every kind of sauce at this little market. They expanded the product so big. The place is very clean and the service are really great. I would recommend to stop by the dumpling selection. I always pick one bag every time I come here.

Eli M.

Yelp
Super clean with an excellent selection and not cramped. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Definitely coming here again!
