"Shore days often turn into long nights, and trying to corral breakfast options after a day of walking along the boardwalk is probably not an ideal vacation morning. That being said, when you’re in Ventnor, make sure you stop by Hannah G’s. With over a dozen omelet options and all the usual suspects for a syrup-smothered morning (waffles, pancakes, and french toast), breakfast here will give you a bigger kick to start your day than any ocean sunrise." - Sydney Mcelwee, Candis Mclean, Tonya Russell

If you're looking for a breakfast spot that feels like home and serves the most delicious meals made with love, look no further than Hannah G’s. Nestled along the shore, this charming eatery goes above and beyond to make every meal special. From the moment you walk in, the cozy, welcoming atmosphere makes you feel right at home. The staff treats you like family, always attentive and friendly. Trish, Cathy, Donna, Ra and even Kevin go above and beyond! 💯But it's the food that truly sets this place apart… Each dish is crafted with care and creativity. Take their blueberry honey butter, for example – it's a heavenly spread that elevates their freshly baked goods to a whole new level. And for those with dietary restrictions, their gluten-free banana bread with chocolate chips and cinnamon butter is an absolute treat. Every bite is a testament to the love and thoughtfulness they put into their cooking. Also amazing Vegan meals. Always check out the daily specials! Whether you're a local or just passing through, Hannah Gs, is a must-visit. It's a rare gem where every meal feels like a special occasion. Highly recommend! Can’t wait to go back tomorrow! ---

Finally made it to Hannah G's in Ventnor, NJ. Wowww. It was amazing. Crowded but we were seated right away. My husband had Sausage & Vegan Breakfast Hash, mushrooms, peppers, onions, zucchini, potatoes cumin & smoked paprika & Beyond Sausage. I sampled it and it was very good. I ordered the Blueberry Chia Pancakes (made with flax-egg, soy milk) served with maple syrup. I would have preferred no soy milk, but these pancakes were so light and yummy. 👍🏽 I really felt great after eating them, not weighed down like I wanted a nap! So yay for the GF option! I can't wait to go back and try the vegan shrimp tacos!! 🤔 I've had vegan shrimp before and I liked them. They have lots of daily specials-so options for everyone. A very nice local breakfast/lunch spot!

Google
the service was incredibly slow for Monday morning, the waitress barely checked on us. I ordered an $18 breakfast bowl which consisted of 2 eggs, a small spoonful of sausage, a small spoonful of broccoli, and a small spoonful of moldy rotten sweet potato. I told the waitress they were inedible and I wanted home fries instead (which I was charged for) everything was incredibly underseasoned and bland. I would never come back to this restaurant and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Google
I love that they serve Gluten Free food. They have a GF menu and even GF specials. As a celiac, it is difficult to find restaurants that can accommodate. Hannah G's staff let you know what you can and can't eat due to cross contamination too. Recently had the nectarine pistachio French toast, delicious. Recommend

Google
Hannah G's is such a homely restaurant with amazing food and vibe. We ordered so much for the two of us (2 veggie sandwiches, loaded waffle, hot chocolate and home fries) that all the staff wondered if we would actually complete everything, but the food was so delicious that we actually finished!

Google
Breakfast was good! Enjoyed the crème brûlée overnight French toast! The home fries were tasty! Service was good! Back of the menu was a notice that they only accept cash! And of course they had an ATM on site, with most likely a fee. Typically don't carry cash but had cash on hand!

Stay away if your child has allergies because, as the hostile server said: "I don't have time to check." when I asked if something has dairy. The owner does not take allergy requests seriously either, per response implying that it's okay to not take allergies seriously if the server is busy (which she was not). There is no point to try to fix a toxic culture as a, now once and done, patron. The coffee tastes like a filter and you will not get refills. You have to go to the bathroom for paper towels when you need napkins because you will be ignored after putting in your order. The burrito was flavorless.

Great local spot! Casual inviting vibe. Friendly staff. Great home cooked food. Went for breakfast with friends. Big portions and fairly priced.

Yelp
Hannah G's immediately welcomes you with its unique interior, reminiscent of classic Bruncheonettes. The walls adorned with old photos of Atlantic City, Ventnor, Margate, and Longport tell the story of the island's development, creating a nostalgic feel. Inside , it is calm and relaxed, with staff who are always on point. Whether you choose to sit at the counter, a table, or in a booth, the flexibility is there. Starting the day here, the hot coffee and fresh-squeezed orange juice are perfect. For breakfast, the Western Omelet, with its blend of ham, peppers, onions, and American cheese, paired with wheat toast, is a great choice. The home fries with onions and peppers add a savory dimension. Alternatively, Jake's Favorite with broccoli, ham, sautéed onions, peppers, mushrooms, and American cheese, is equally enjoyable and full of flavors, especially with the home fries. For brunch, the Chamberlain Salad is my go-to. It's a refreshing combination of Romaine, red onion, shredded Swiss, cashews, and apples, dressed in an incredible sweet & sour vinaigrette. You can choose either grilled or seasoned blackened chicken to top it off. This salad is not just tasty, but also satisfyingly large in size. Don't forget to check out the specials board for seasonal and unique dishes. Important to note, it is a cash-only place, but there's an ATM inside for convenience. In essence, Hannah G's offers a flavorful and exciting dining experience with its range of flavorful dishes unique setting and atmosphere; ensuring each visit is rich and enjoyable.

Yelp
Cozy little breakfast joint. Friendly and fast serving staff. Food comes out quick and it's all delicious! Our whole table enjoyed everything we ordered. Will be back again next time I'm in town and craving a nice breakfast.

Yelp
Waitress was mad because I called mam without looking up at her when I ordered because I was on an emergency call at the time. She walked away and said out loud that she just got called mam. When my food came I needed to leave right away without eating so I asked for the check right away and when a waiter came back and dropped the $12 check and I gave them a $20 and he asked if I needed change back and I said yes please. Then he must of told my waitress that I wanted change, she spoke very loudly about 15 ft away and asked again if I wanted my change with an attitude like she was insulted that I didn't want to tip her the $8. I just said keep it. Sorry I was dealing with a family issue and I didn't address her properly. If she would have kept her little comment to herself as she walked away after taking my order I would have just left the $20 and walked out . Because if her I will not be back.

Yelp
Always a great place for breakfast and lunch. Old favorites with creative twists and great specials. Nice portion sizes. Service is quick and the staff are attentive. Bustling and a little noisy but what would you expect from a popular place? Cash only but there's an ATM in the back.

Holly D.

Yelp
I love this place and used to go weekly but have not been there in six years. They are even better than I remember. The specials are amazing. Make sure you take a few friends and get about four specials and share them. You will thank me. Innovative is amazing. I asked the waitress to surprise me and bring something she thought was yummy. She brought me the stuffed French toast and get this. It had apples and brie inside with nuts on top. How innovative is that just delicious and very light not too sweet not too heavy. I actually finished the entire thing and they have fresh squeezed orange juice, and all the signs reading in the room. Will have you smiling go now?

Jeff C.

Yelp
Agree with Thomas and Kathy that only locals get proper service. Sat ignored with no coffee order taken for 15 min before waitress came and with no apology asked if we've decided. Um yeah like 14 min ago! No offer of coffee refill while waitress ate her meal at bar directly in front of us and another waitress had meltdown about more customers coming in. All while locals got hugs and yuks! Prices reasonable and gluten free options but need to work on their bedside manner!

Kenneth H.

Yelp
Excellent food, great service, very reasonably priced. Cash only but thats ok with me.

Steven B.

Yelp
Best breakfast at the Jersey Shore. Cash only. Very busy on summer weekends. Small & local. All fresh ingredients used. Great omelets. Breakfast and lunch only.

Justin S.

Yelp
Still the best breakfast spot at the shore! Neighborhood spot. Cash only. Best omelettes. Their specials are unreal and love the staff especially Trish. Feels like home. Everything is delicious and fresh.

Gretchen G.

Yelp
Be ready to wait long, if you want to sit outside. if you sit inside, prepare to eat in a very heavy smell. no air circulation inside. Spilled food everywhere, especially under the tables. food is mediocre. Owner is rude and does not care about customer experience.

Denise K.

Yelp
lovely place for lunch.. welcoming staff and so many nice choices from omelets to salads, quesadillas etc! First time for us and we will be back!

kathy w.

Yelp
Food was ok staff catered to locals I'm also a local my first time there so it was my last time no acknowledgement at all

Conal M.

Yelp
Came here for breakfast for the first time. Power pancakes were exceptional. Wife had the Hot Turkey Sausage omlette and home fries. She said both were excellent. I will definitely come back. Service was excellent also.

Edward M.

Yelp
I went for the food and stayed for the people. The healthiest food and sweetest staff for miles around. So worth the drive from NYC.

Mitchell L.

Yelp
Terribly managed. They are so far behind the times. Most in demand restaurants text you when your table is ready. We put our name in to be seated and stood by waiting to be called. When we inquired one person said they called our name 30 minutes ago... but we only got there 20 minutes prior. When I inquired with the owner he said we'd be the next to be seated but we weren't. Recalling a similar incident some years back, we decided to leave. On the way out I noticed a friend who was waiting to be seated. She was in disbelief as the hostess told them their name would go back to the bottom of the list because they also missed their name being called. It all starts from the top. When the owner can't live up to his word it fosters the same approach from the staff. My advice... stay away. Goodness knows what actually happens to your food back in the kitchen!

Thomas M.

Yelp
Was at Hannah G's today and received same treatment as Kathy. Joke of service if you are not local. Waiting 10 minutes for check, then ask for it and did not receive it. Had to walk to counter and ask for check, Totally not worth the stop.

Alley S.

Yelp
Horrendous customer service. I've been here multiple times before and the food is consistent, but after my last experience I'll never be returning. A dish came out incorrectly, so we informed the wife of the owner. She proceeded to roll her eyes, laugh, and walk away. When she passed by again, we flagged her, and she mockingly questioned what we said. My husband stated "That's what she said." reiterating our issue, she then grabbed my husband's shoulder and told him he needed to calm down. I don't think touching a customer is appropriate whatsoever, and everyone was calm aside from her erratic behavior with every table and employee she interacted with (this wasn't just an "us" issue). After paying, we went to the front to discuss with the owner. He stated it was his wife and are we really going to talk about his wife to him. Yes, actually, as a business owner you should want to know the service your patrons are receiving. His wife overheard and rushed over and grabbed my husband's shoulder AGAIN. Even if it's your wife, she's working as an employee, and should be held to normal standards. No explanation, apology, or remorse whatsoever from either of them. I can't remember the last time I've had such a poor experience at a restaurant. All the other waitstaff is great, I genuinely feel bad that they have to work in such a chaotic environment.

Elizabeth R.

Yelp
Good menu but nasty staff. How can they treat guests like that? No thanks. And on Mother's Day of all things. While I appreciate the varied menu and good food, really the staff ruined the experience for us. Plus cash only just doesn't work anymore.

Diane J.

Yelp
It was so cold in the restaurant I needed my winter coat. My husband's omelette the garden was a little dry but good. My pancakes were delicious. Waitress was lovely.

Dan A.

Yelp
We found Hannah G's prior to a long day of walking the boardwalk. My wife had a version of huevos rancehros (sans tortillas). She loved it! I had an omelet with turkey sausage, mushrooms and broccoli. It was great! We knew were were going to walk a lot so we decided to carb load and splurged on some GF pancakes with a berry compote. These were awesome and we would get them again... Well we'd get all 3 items again but ny wife said she is going to make the corn cakes when we get back home. They are CASH only so make sure you have $$$ when you go. If we're ever in AC again we'll head back to Hannah G's.

Tenira H.

Yelp
To all my people with food allergies, this is the place to dine. This very family-friendly small business knows all about gluten-free and vegan. Great cafe with lots of yummy options!!!

Caryl B.

Yelp
Got french toast with chocolate chips - just ok, nothing amazing, but not bad either. Prices were actually pretty good, servers were very nice and friendly but not that attentive - maybe because we were in the back of the restaurant and easily forgotten. I would still go back though. Seems like a decent place to have breakfast.

Lori E.

Yelp
Incredible breakfast, great specials, friendly staff, and lots of gluten free options.

Dolly M.

Yelp
Just had another tasty breakfast at Hannah's! I have been enjoying meals here for over 8 years! So glad they expanded, since weekends in summer are always busy! If you serve good fresh food, they will come! They offer a varied menu to suit all tastes!! Always have a fresh well prepared meal here!!

Kristen P.

Yelp
Several GF options it you need them (lemon-poppyseed gf bread with the strawberry butter recommended). Cozy, casual atmosphere with quick service.

Lashay F.

Yelp
So after a night out of partying in Atlantic City we randomly found this restaurant on Yelp and was pleased with the reviews and decided to check it out. The food here was amazing and the staff was extremely friendly. Not only was the food absolutely bomb but the service was so quick. Our food literally came out in less than 10 minutes of ordering it. While eating the staff checked on us to make sure everything was good and the price of the food was extremely reasonable. I want to go back to Atlantic City just to hit this spit again. The food is so good. If you're in the area you should definitely check it out. Happy customer :-)

Felicia A.

Yelp
It has been 2 years since our last visit and the food and service was just as good as I remember. Coffee brewed with a full non bitter flavor. Almond milk for the hubby's coffee. Blue berry pancakes and organic eggs for those who are concerned about eating clean. Wonderful place and excellent service Cash only so come prepared

Allison K.

Yelp
Food was ok. Omelet was good but the pancakes were so dry you needed water with every bite. Owner was a bit blunt to people and it comes off as a bit rude.

Nicola O.

Yelp
Hannah G's catered my parents 60th wedding anniversary party last weekend. I can't express my gratitude for everything! Donna planned and organized it perfectly. The servers and bartender were all fantastic and the food was outstanding! since then all we have had heard were great compliments from all who attended. Thank you!

David G.

Yelp
Great omelettes! Local business! Seashore ambiance. Most servers are polite. Parking in season is difficult.

Rich T.

Yelp
Rounding up to 5 stars. An excellent breakfast experience. Hannah G's has just the homey feel you want for a breakfast out on a cold Sunday morning. Had a Nova Lox platter that was both plentiful and extremely fresh and tasty. The only slight knock would be the home fries. They were cooked perfectly with sautéed peppers and onions but there was virtually no seasoning on them. That is a very minor complaint - would recommend this place to anyone for a nice breakfast or lunch.

Anisa T.

Yelp
Amazing place for brunch! They took us in right away and took our orders in! I saw from another review that they had a gluten free waffle - but it turns out they have a whole gluten free menu! Definitely should be advertised more for the Celiac population! Cute atmosphere inside as well!

Beth B.

Yelp
Always great. Fresh, organic, local, inventive menu. Great for breakfast and lunch. My favorite is always the organic omelette du jour. Also great gluten free French toast, quinoa salads and more. Crazy busy during the summer but service is always quick and courteous. Best breakfast around.

Rory M.

Yelp
Hannah G's is a popular neighborhood spot for breakfast and lunch. The menu offers omelettes & egg dishes, pancakes/french toast/waffles, other breakfast dishes, and lunch food - mainly sandwiches and wraps, with a few salads. There are always a lot of specials listed on the board in the restaurant. The food is consistently good, without being crave-able. While I enjoy eating there on a low-key weekday, I wouldn't necessarily take on the wait on the busy weekends. Most recently, I had the caesar salad with grilled chicken. The grilled chicken on top was good, with a nice crust to it. The caesar salad dressing wasn't creamy, and I wish I asked this before I ordered it - not my style. My dad enjoyed his tuna sandwich, on toasted brad with lettuce and tomato. All sandwiches are served with veggie straws - an interesting and unique choice. When it's convenient, Hannah G's is a great option! They have simple and traditional breakfast favorites, and the service is usually good. I will continue to go during off-times, and avoid the busier times during the weekend.

Stu S.

Yelp
This is a great little breakfast/lunch place at the Ventnor-Margate border. I've had breakfast here a number of times. Great menu, everything you want for breakfast, and all expertly prepared. Wait staff is always nice and friendly. Prices are decent. And they can actually make an egg-white omelet that tastes good (not everyplace can). What can I say? You want a good breakfast, try Hannah G's.

Neil S.

Yelp
Hannah G's Breakfast was pretty good, but a little bit of an attitude by ownership, especially if you walk in with a mask. Cash only is a pain and all checks are handwritten, better check their math twice. Some questionable charges show up on the bill like maple syrup $2.00 for a little 2 oz cup x 2 people... do the math. Cmon, at least tell me this is extra.

Lauren K.

Yelp
Great (and very crowded) breakfast place on the border of Ventnor and Margate. Come early or face a little bit of a wait, but the service is quick and the tables seem to turn over quickly. The hula hula bread French toast is great and Lola's black bean bowl is something I'll keep coming back for. The lemon ricotta pancakes were a little underwhelming and were served with no maple syrups, fruit, etc. The hot tea options were also extremely limited (plain green tea or Lipton's black tea only). Will keep coming back though for the good food. Just remember - cash only!

Tori M.

Yelp
As a local resident this establishments owner is never wanting part of the local community or school. They're very abrupt on wanting to assist with anything in their the community. However, Their food is good and the staff is great! Sad and hope it changes one day.

Emile L.

Yelp
Cute spot for breakfast. They have all the classics as well as all the low cholesterol, low fat, gluten free vegan, fidget spinner etc. hip to eat now stuff. I had an omelet and French toast with fresh fruit - both were great. There are also a lot of specials on the black board. It is also a great place to people watch as almost everyone has interesting plastic surgery.

Jaden Y.

Yelp
Our food was absolutely delicious. The staff in here are very nice. The Brie, grilled peaches, and tomato grilled cheese was a great unique combo. We also got the quiche which was 10/10 easily. Their specials are my favorite part! RUN here, don't walk. Remember cash only but ATM in back.

Brian E.

Yelp
My new favorite breakfast place down the shore! If you're Celiac, this is a must see. They actually have a separate grill for gluten free stuff; one of the only restaurants I've been to, that can accommodate celiac's. Menu was awesome and creative. If you go very early or during the week, you'll avoid the long line....

Veronica M.

Yelp
Always enjoy everything I get from here! I got seated right away and our waitress took our drink order once we sat down. I got the Garden fresh omelette and it was delicious and fresh veggies. Also it came out quick and was delicious! I will be returning back

Al L.

Yelp
A good breakfast option for Ventnor & Margate right near the beach. During summer, the outdoor dining gets very busy. Very friendly staff. typical diner breakfast food- bacon eggs pancakes, but they do it well.

Larry B.

Yelp
Nice place for breakfast. Great breakfast potatoes. Omelette was too well done for me but still tasty. Service is quick and everyone is friendly. Crazy busy here in season.

Ashley M.

Yelp
Most breakfast places do not have any vegan options but when I informed my waitress that I was vegan she gave me a whole vegan menu. I ordered the black bean burger which was very good and healthy. I was very impressed with the food options, the taste, and my waitress was very friendly. It is a cool atmosphere. Perfect place to bring some friends.

Gal A.

Yelp
Had a late breakfast here today and absolutely loved it. I had an egg with omelette with lox and onions. My boyfriend had the Cinnabon French toast but asked for no bananas/walnuts/raisin - yes he's picky! Lol but he couldn't stop raving about the French toast. The service was very quick and friendly. We'll certainly be back next time we're in AC.

Johanna H.

Yelp
Came here after a workout with the BF. Very nice place! Servers are friendly and very attentive. Bright and airy. The menu is eclectic. Home made. Fresh. Vegan. Organic & gluten free! I ordered the Quinoa French Toast & a side of egg whites. BF ordered the power pancakes & a side of sunny up eggs. Food came out fast. About 10 mins. AMAZING FOOD! Quinoa French toast were stuffed with blueberries and topped with strawberries. Insanely filling. Power pancakes were made with protein and blueberries. I enjoyed my food. Options for the whole family. They use very fresh items which you can't beat. Even the coffee is good. A new home for me. We'll definitely be back!
