Google
Big Korean supermarket with a good hot food section. There's also a small food court and a Paris Baguette bakery in the same building. The hot food section is almost empty 2 hours before closing.

Just a heads up to anyone thinking of stopping by my experience for the 1st time at this location was incredibly disappointing. The woman serving the kimchi was shockingly rude. I asked if I could try it since I had never had it before, and she immediately shut me down with a harsh ‘no.’ I then asked if I could buy some, and again another loud, dismissive ‘no.’ She was abrupt, unwelcoming, and raised her voice for no reason. I was so put off by her attitude No one she have an attitude like this!! I would have given a five star only because the soup lady, and the meat guys in the back were really nice and help full! that serves the samples was really great, but that kimchi lady was horrible!! Very disappointed work on your Customers service that might help you!

Google
Supermarket with easy going crew, really helpful and friendly. Fruit, vegetables and fish products are amazing at this store. Fresh, tasteful and fair priced. The rest of the store is like any other supermarket, so a good store to shop.

Best produce in town! Large selection of seafood, meat, and amazing food court with bakery. Thank you. Blessings

This is a new market used to the S Mart on Crenshaw & Torrance Blvd but moved and changed name their name to Hannam Chain. A lot bigger and more variety of Korean food compared to before. The food court is not all filled with vendors, but the Chinese food is delicious, and their portions are pretty big.

This market is the largest Korean supermarket in the South Bay area. When I arrived at the parking lot, the parking lot was almost full of many cars. I had to drive around for a while to find the parking spot. They had a huge parking lot, but if you want to park closed to the market, you had to park behind the market. Especially, try to avoid coming here during the weekend. Anyway, I went inside the market. The market was well organized and kept cleaned inside. I walked through the produce section. They had many produce on sale. Their produces were fresh and great quality. And the prices were low. I loved the Korean Melon and they were on sale. I bought lots of Korean melons. After that, I went to the seafood section. They had fresh fish were on sale. I bought some mackerel on sale. The market displayed different signs of special sales. The market had "ready to Go deli section. " They sold fresh made pre-cooked foods. I bought "Korean Beef Kimbum," which is wrapped with seaweed paper and stuffed inside (rice, beef & vegetables) This is one of the simple Korean snacks. Also, this market had a big food court section. They offered various Korean foods. They had fresh Korean bakery, too. They made fresh breads, bread & sweets daily. I bought sweet bread & pastries. They looked so delicious. This Hannan Chain Market offers a good selection of Korean & Asian foods. The price was reasonable and good quality of products. If you like Asian foods, this market would be the great place to shop. I would like to recommend "Hannan Chain Market" to everyone.

I bought this frozen bread today and it was moldy. My kid ate it, and threw up right away. My kid and I were extremely shocked. Please do not purchase unless you want food poisoning.

Yelp
Review #896 2025-068 According to my cousin, Hannam Chain Supermarket was the replacement for S-Mart (corner of Torrance & Crenshaw Blvds., refer to Review #88) & moved to its new home at Village Del Amo, taking over the defunct Sports Chalet. Its sister market, Hannam Chain Market World, is less than a mile away on Sepulveda Blvd. This market has an unusual layout, not the typical vertical aisles of most markets, & some sections are quite cramped (particularly the frozen area) & challenging to navigate. I typically park my shopping cart at the end when browsing. The Korean markets in the South Bay are not for groceries only, they include eateries &/or other businesses. At the south & southwest end of the market, Hannam houses Goobne Chicken, Katsu Nuna, Paris Baguette, Kyodong Noodle, K-Beauty (Shiseido & other Korean beauty products), Coway (air & water purifiers), Cheong Kwan Jang (Korean red ginseng products), 3H (acupressure beds). It doesn't feel like the same market, not because of the location change, but more so for what's stocked & price points if they are in fact S-Mart. Hannam Chain Supermarket offers fresh produce, a butcher with a great selection of meats, seafood counter with fresh fish & cold storage filled up with miso, radish wraps, a la carte banchan (side dishes), a huge selection of kimchi, tofu, noodles, & more. I normally stop by after work, usually for fruits, veggies, & meats, & browse the aisles for deals... like Shin Ramen Red Fiery Spicy Beef Ramen ($2.99/1 pack of 4), House Vermont Curry ($2.49), Binggrae Samanco: Brown Sugar Boba ($2.99). I typically get white peaches, red kiwis, Fuji apples, Asian pears, tangerines because their prices are usually lower & the fruits are aesthetically pretty (no bruising or moldy). New/featured (usually discounted) items are stocked by the entrance & at the ends of the aisles -- from snacks to ice creams, fresh & dry noodles to frozen items. And hot food items may be discounted at the end of the day. The market can serve your grocery needs, but you'll have to get lucky on deals/sales since they don't deliver a weekly grocery advertisement like the American markets; their weekly ad is powered online but it's hard to read on a cell phone even when the image is enlarged. Happy Shopping!

Yelp
This has become my go-to place whenever I am craving Korean food. It is now on my regular grocery shopping rotation because they also offer a wider selection of things that I like to eat compared to US chains. Not only is it fairly simple for me to navigate due to the size of the store, I love that it offers everything from Ramen to fun snack foods to fresh made radish kimchi - Kkakdugi. My routine is I stay along the outside of the vegetable section going by the wide selection of mushrooms and the fresh minced garlic. I then skirt by the tofu which is on the way to the fresh fish. To avoid fish-induced panic attacks on my end, I take a hard left and go through the bulk ramen (even Vegan) and Korean snacks. But if you love, fresh fish and seafood, this is your store - fresh cut or whole! I then surface near the freezers where I pick up a bunch of vegan kimbap rolls that are so easy to heat up for work lunches. I usually find a few gems in this area and that is how I "cook Korean" by heating up frozen stuff. ...Or, by buying fresh-made stuff in the back like kimchi pancakes, steamed sweet potatoes, Japchae, and fresh kimbap rolls. I keep telling myself I'm going to go in with an ingredient list and learn how to make the radish kimchi myself so that is my next goal. The best part about this market is that after you done shopping and you don't want to eat, you can drop into one of the many restaurants - I love Goob'ne chicken or the noodle house (can't remember the name). They also have a bakery built in! Just saying, I don't speak a lick of Korean (no matter how hard I've tried) and the people at checkout are always helpful and friendly!

Yelp
Great Korean market with tons of other Asian groceries. A few dollars cheaper than H mart and very clean and organized. Korean marinated BBQ meat by the pound in their meat section! Fresh produce, meat & seafood. New food court opening soon as part of the market only a few stalls open so far but should be open in the next month or so. Plenty of parking. I just wish that they had a bakery with Korean bakery treats inside the market but they do have a Paris baguette inside the new food court that works well too!

Yelp
Stumbled on this Supermarket looking for Paris Baguette. It's pretty cool, filled with a lot of interesting items. It's not super huge BUT there was A LOT to see and choose from. Many items weren't in English so we had to assume and improvise. We got a bunch of soups, teas, some pads, saki, and banana milk. I Definitely recommend.
google avatar

Brenda L.

Yelp
The good: The store has a modern and clean look from the outside. It looks updated and grand. There's a beauty shop inside and a Paris Baguette bakery (which I love!). The store is organized and offers many household goods outside of regular Korean groceries. I always like to go to Korean markets to get cheaper green onion and produce like sweet potatoes. The bad: The parking lot can be a bit crowded. The interesting: The layout by the vegetable and ramen section is interesting. It loops around and you have to go through certain area to get to another area.

Yelp
Good Korean grocery store. Ritz white cream cookies and Oreo strawberry cookies were too good and smelled fresh in scent here. Came here twice. Staffs are helpful. Everything is fully stocked and lots of deals exists in fruits & vegetables aisle. They sell home goods/cups/slippers/pillows/mats/too. Food court inside is much smaller than expected, but public restrooms are available for use. They have a tiny Paris Baguette storefront inside too. Convenient place to relax or grab a bite. Grocery aisles and banchan selections were huge. You can find authentic Korean soup base items around $3.99-$5.99 per packet here. I like the snacks selections as well. Inexpensive. Meats were well packaged and clean. Modern feeling inside, but it's much smaller than an HMart grocery store chain. Bag of tangerines are decent under $4-$5. Staffs do a great job here and at checkout. It's convenient for tourists who are staying at nearby hotels. This is the type of grocery store that we would keep visiting in future since there's not many others around here. Get discounted hot foods/cold foods ready to go towards evening hours. Good setup. I would totally stop by again.

Yelp
My fave Korean market in the area. Well stocked, easy parking and super clean. Grateful they opened up recently in the area.

Yelp
Went to this store at 8:20pm this evening and they were totally closed! What's up with that? Their hours posted at every entrance were until 9 pm. Even the hours posted here say until 9PM So disappointed!

Yelp
Love this place. Some things are a little pricey but everything looks fresh. I just like buying my snacks and ramen here. Food court area looks good. I haven't tried most of it but will need to in the future

Yelp
Awesome Korean market with a big selection of Korean meats for your Korean barbecue needs. Also a big selection of SOJU. Pretty consistently solid service. Produce is superior as well.

Yelp
Cashier and Customer Service Desk/Manager The Korean Cashier and Customer Service Desk/Manager always discourteous and rude. They offer a reward points, but fail to inform you that can only apply spend $30 or more. When asked where is that indicated in the terms and agreements. No documentation can be produced. Begs the question is not a points system not cumulatively accrued... This applied to Market World off Sepulveda in Torrance as well.

Yelp
And unassuming Korean restaurant, that I couldn't see from Hawthorne Boulevard, and is nestled in among other restaurants and banks. They have a nice little food court, a good selection of authentic Korean and Asian foods. Pricing is fair and I would say this is a moderately sized Korean supermarket. Overall excellent, and I would recommend it.

Andrew T.

Yelp
I gave it a two star because the food and stuff are good but the employees are rude to anyone who's not Korean. It's honestly just the middle aged women that are cashiers. They pretty much only like to help people who are Korean. I get it's a Korean store but you can clearly see they treat anyone who isn't Korean as a pest. The only employees who are nice are the ones who work in the meat and fish section. Both the Korean and Latino employees actually serve you with mutual respect even though they have the same language barrier as the Korean women cashiers. I end up feeling like I gave money to the wrong place when I have to pay and they ring me up. This place honestly sucks just because of the cashiers and I have no idea for the life of me why all the cashiers are the same.
google avatar

Julia H.

Yelp
Workers here are a bit rude. Sometimes yelling across the store at each other. Cashier talking on the phone rudely says I'm closed and slaps down the closed sign. Came another time and cashier was roughly throwing the customers food items as he was bagging them himself. She didn't even try to help him during or after she rang him up. Just watched him struggle to bag and pay at the same time. Why is the service here so bad? This is the kind of service I'd expect from Walmart. Also don't get the sashimi here. It tasted off where I had to throw it away. I like how they have boxes of fruit. Got mangos but they weren't sweet compared to other places. The kimbap (depending which brand) is sometimes a hit or miss. I do like breaded fish. Feels like the food is not as good as it used to be or a quality control issue. Overall the store does look clean.

Yelp
This grocery store chain used to be S-Mart, which was relocated and rebranded. It's very spacious and clean inside, and shelves are very organized for vegetables and fruits. Staff working here is very friendly.

Yelp
I've shopped here many times since grand opening. Never had any problem with them. Today I was there to get some marinated BBQ meats. I noticed their chicken is on sale but I was curious about their regular price. So I reached out my arm to pull out the sale sticker to see the regular price behind it. Just as I started to pull... an employee from behind the counter got really angry when he saw me. He approached me and grabbed the price tag and took it with him behind the counter while raising his voice: YOU WANT TO KNOW THE REGULAR PRICE, YOU ASK ME!!! I was like is that how you treat your customers? I just want to know the regular price. What is the big deal? He keeps repeating, YOU WANT TO KNOW THE PRICE, YOU ASK ME!!!! Yes, with his voice raised and angry face. Cultural issue? Is this normal in Korea? I have no clue. I asked for the manager and he said: I AM THE MANAGER. So I went to the customer service desk to report they have a very rude employee in the meat department. A guy behind CS counter asked me, did you punch him? Then he smiles... I'm kidding. That leaves an impression that they knew about that employee's behavior. It isn't the first time. He's done it before. So anyway, the store manager said the rude guy is meat department manager and she is store manager. She apologized to me. Wasn't her fault but she apologized anyway. That's how a manager should behave. Polite. I want to leave a 1 star but it wouldn't be fair for all the time I have no issues with them. So I'm leaving 2 star. I will never buy their marinated BBQ meat until that meat dept manager either resigns or fired.

Yelp
If you are looking for a supermarket that offers true, traditional, Korean food basics, this is the place for you. This is a very large supermarket and they have a lot of various food stocks. They have a very large meat, fish, and vegetable section, as well as they have a lot of premade items such as kimchi, various instant Ramen dishes, and of course a great selection of rice. If you're looking for Korean side dishes, to complement your meal, they also have a very large selection of these items pre-made and pre-packaged. They also offer a nice selection of pre-made sashimi platters. Plus, if you're looking for things like live crab, which personally freaks me out, they offer those, as well. There are a few Asian-based food markets in Torrance and the greater Southbay area. They each offer a somewhat different selection of food items. This is a good thing in that the each have unique offerings for their specific customers. This market is no different. This is a large, well organized supermarket. It is highly designed for people who are very aware about Korean-based foods. Thus, it is ideally suited to someone who knows what they are looking for when they're going to an Asian-orientated supermarket. Overall, great place to shop if you know what you're looking for or for someone who simply wishes to explore some new food options.

Yelp
This store is amazing. The staff does an incredible job keeping the place spotless and fully stocked. Everyone is so helpful as well. I love the variety of Asian food and ingredients even if it is a predominantly Korean store. It is a welcome addition to the neighborhood. This store is so well kept. Ok, bye
google avatar

Christopher K.

Yelp
I don't understand these negative reviews. They are calling these cashiers and their customer service to be rude. They are not. The are hard working immgrants who don't understand cultural differences. The point of this market is to serve Koreans living in America and give them some sense of home in America. If these foreigners have a problem with these workers, then go to another market, period. This market has enough customers and can do well without these people. This market is wonderful and has a lot of variety. Please be grateful towards these hardworking people.
google avatar

Renee I.

Yelp
Convenient location, market is nicely organized, prices are pretty decent too. I love picking up kimbap, japchae for a light snack. Folks working there have always been helpful and nice. I come here a couple times a month for my grocery shopping.
google avatar

Taylor U.

Yelp
New grocery market! So aside from the grocery aspect, there are couple smaller stores inside this building as well as they are building a food court inside. The grocery portion takes up about half the building. They layout of the grocery store is not great. It is not fluid near the entrance. I came to see if they have sriracha during the sriracha shortage and they had it! For $9 per bottle. Definitely come back to check out food court once they are done construction.
google avatar

Michelle N.

Yelp
A decent Korean grocery store with a decent selection! While I do miss going to my old regular market before it closed, Hannam has a good selection if you're looking for your basic Korean food essentials. Not much staff around if you're looking for something specific but prices are reasonable. I wish they had more selection at their food court but understandable that they open a bit recently (relatively)
google avatar

Jim E.

Yelp
Smaller Korean market, limited selection, H-Mart is nearby and has much better selection and prices. Staff was friendly.
google avatar

Bruin B.

Yelp
Nice addition/Selections w Asian/international/particularly Korean groceries in the southBay/Torrance adjacent; we tried the ready-to-eat Live Abalone sliced Sashimi, comes w 2pieces in their half shells, dressed w shredded radish, perilla Leafs, sliced Lemon, & spicy sauce; very good! *Snack galore here/many varieties offered here, from chips to sweets. Hope they'll have Live tastings costCo-style on rotating products so we'll know what we're buying Lol

Yelp
I don't know why this place has 3 .... Starts ??? I give it 5 cause I' went here for the first time today and I loooooove the variety of seafood and selections for a reasonable price (that's why you have choices) of course they have the good shit and that can be expensive. The biggest selection so far from all the other Korean markets I've gone to. They have shops to eat and buy gifts and products after the grocery (or before) I'd go here often but I don't live around this area. Coming back soon for sure. I highly recommend

A G.

Yelp
Courteous cashiers. The food court is a relaxing place to sit. Cheaper prices on many items than H-mart. Unique items not found in other markets. Health and healing corner. Kitchen accessories. Decent cooking ware. It is a good place to go if you want relief from the world and to forget about your problems for a day.

Yelp
Love having more Korean markets nearby, especially since S Mart closed, breaking my heart. My hubby loves the Korean chicken Goobne in here, and I'm a fan of the Korean-Chinese food in the food court. I've gotten their pre marinated meat a few times and they've been great. Their fruits, veggies, chips, drinks section has been pretty well stocked, and I did like that they had a kimbap station to make fresh kimbap. A few oddities: I couldn't find fresh corn, and the eggs were like $10 a dozen. If that's the price they need to charge to make a profit on the eggs, they may as well buy it from Ralph's and double the price, it would still be cheaper. The price for everything else was fine. They also have Paris Baguette for your Korean bakery needs. If you've never had a cake from a Korean bakery, would highly recommend the fresh cream strawberry cakes. The cream is so amazing, you'll never go anywhere else! Also, don't be offended by the old school staff- one "gently" nudged me out of the way at the register to grab something and then took the empty basket out of my husbands hand without saying anything. I grew up in Koreatown and I'm very well aware that some old school Koreans will do this because they basically just treat you informally like family. However, if I were management, I would get train the staff to at least say excuse me and thank you because it can easily be misunderstood.
google avatar

Diane C.

Yelp
The market was very organized which made it easy to find things and pleasing to the eye. It made me want to come just to see the organization over my nearby Korean market. The cashier wasn't super friendly but she did her job fine.
google avatar

Greta A.

Yelp
So nice to have this market open in my neighborhood. The market makes fresh rolled Kimbap- made for a yummy lunch. There is great selection of produce, fish, meat, prepared foods-everything is so fresh and packaged nicely. There is a small food court that currently has a Kyodon Noodle, Goobne Chicken and a Paris Baguette (extra happy about this!) . There are currently two open spots in the food court, interested to see who opens up shop. All businesses inside the market: Pacific City Bank,Home Builders, ,Jang's Cosmetics,Jeong Kwan Jang, Paris Baguette,Goobne Chicken,Kyodong Noodle
google avatar

Adrian F.

Yelp
Cool selection of items I have not found at other markets. I especially love the staff that explain the items we are perusing and their recommendations. Some may think it is a sales pitch, but I just think of the times I have to flag down staff just to ask simple questions. Wish we could have this store in the SGV, but glad we found this thanks to a friend at work. Go Crunky!!!!

Juliana G.

Yelp
The vegetables and fruits were rotten and not fresh. The whole market, including the employees, is below average. They are rude and unprofessional. Very disappointing.
google avatar

Pamela Portia H.

Yelp
Omg all the food that I needed and craved, since S Mart closed!!! This is the only store that carries Topokki stuffed with mozzarella. They also have the most delicious marinated raw bbq meats. I went for the first time about a month ago and the store is so organized and well stocked. And Paris Baguette just opened up in the front, but it was packed when I went (as expected on a Sunday). Will definitely be returning. It was easy to find close parking in the parking lot, too
google avatar

Kay C.

Yelp
It's a fairly large Korean supermarket of probably 95% of Korean food ,snacks ,brands and household items like soap, shower items, cutlery, etc. The rest is a small mix of Chinese, Japanese and American brands. The aisle are very small so be wary if you have a wheelchair or stroller. The place is very bright and the prepped foods are made on-site. There is a large selection of traditional Korean side dishes and Kimchi and a large selection of frozen items as well The cashier lines were quick enough depending on how many items you have. Outside there are plenty of parking as it's located in a large area with many other food businesses. Hope this helps :)
google avatar

Wesley W.

Yelp
This store is well organized, clean and stocked well. I usually come here for produce and Asian foods i.e. rice, curry, sauces etc.. Produce is usually good quality and have some good prices on fruits and vegetables. My recommendation is to know your pricing and buy what's on sale. They usually have some brand of calrose rice on sale. Staff is courteous and checkout is quick and parking is good.
google avatar

Abigail D.

Yelp
A lot smaller compared to neighboring Korean or other neighboring Asian grocery stores in the area but you can find most of the items you'd typically need here! Service was very welcome and the store is well stocked and tidy. I particularly enjoyed the large variety if seafood available. Plenty of parking available.

Mylinh N.

Yelp
Love this Korean grocery store. The snack section, the produce section, and the frozen section, they are all great!

C K.

Yelp
Customers beware: cashier (tall wrestler-type lady) will throw your produce and other items like a football player after scanning and hold entire conversation in korean with bagger. Rude to the max.
google avatar

Samuel H.

Yelp
I bought a box of radish only to find out a week later that more than 70% of the box was rotten It can't get this bad in a week... didn't they just open??? Great way to start off a business. Why would anyone want to pay for trash when it's free
google avatar

Dan L.

Yelp
This is my new goto local Asian grocery we have plenty in the area but this is the newest and shiniest one. Also great selection of food and without a doubt the best meat. I was shocked at the low ratings but when I read the one star reviews, I realized it was a mostly entitled folks. 1. Like seriously: someone took my cart im pissed!, lol don't leave your cart, I have a child in mine and im fine shopping all the aisles with my cart and kid with me. Why blame a business for your own oversight. 2. The people don't speak English and are clueless, You are shopping at a Korean Grocery with Korean goods. You really expect people to speak perfect english, while your at it why not get pissed they dont speak spanish either? Seriously what kinda dense idiot gets mad at people who don't speak English in a Korean Grocery Store, how about you just go to ralphs or vons where they speak english so you get help u are looking for. Or better yet not be a fool and make a Korean friend who can help you communicate. 3. Register people are rude: what the hell is a register person supposed to do besides charge you and take your money? What expectations do you have, you need a compliment? Someone telling you, that you shopped well? How about maybe English isn't their first language, I'm sure if you spoke some Korean to them they would have no problem chitchating with you and tell you how awesome you are. Overall these reviewers suck at reviewing. Its the same reason so many horrible food places are rates so highly in this area. Long as you make these people feel good they will 5 star you. They can not rate objectively, they are too entitled. Go to the grocery it has fresh produce, a wide selection of Korean groceries, decent prices, and the best angus kalbi in town. Tip: the Jajang place is bomb, make sure to order the shrimp kampongi with sauce on the side. Thank me later.

Yelp
Very poor customer service especially with the ahjumah cashiers.they need more training as well as the younger supervisors.the cashier still live in the Josean era and language barrier.

Yelp
I'm so happy another Hannam Chain opened around me. I live by the Market World location but this location is bigger, has more aisles, and will soon have hot food vendors so I'm pretty excited for that (although it'll probably get more busy once that happens which I'm kinda not looking forward to).
google avatar

France Y.

Yelp
Spend $30 to get their membership card! Received free box of gloves at checkout! Thankful they have fish from Canada for hot pot~ Hunting for brown rice and decided to get the cheaper one!! New, clean and refreshing!

Yelp
Well I finally went to this market about 4 weeks ago since it opened. I don't take Hawthorn blvd going south often. Compared to the previous location , it's much smaller , they organized it that there are turns here and there , wall , corner for certain stuff. They do have mini stores for certain stuff as you walk to the food court. And the food court has 3 stalls not rented.

Wayne Y.

Yelp
Conveniently located and has the essentials. Not as large as H-mart but it is not as far for us either. Their food court could be a bit bigger but it's ok.
google avatar

Yelp
Clean market, friendly people, high quality produce and meats with good prices, lots of parking, nice bakery and food court, couldn't ask for more.

Yelp
YO, I CANNOT believe I'm about to leave this review. But I have to tell y'all. DO NOT STEP AWAY YOUR CART. My family and I will never return here due to the serious bad taste left in our mouths over the situation. This was our 2nd and last visit. Visually, this is the prettiest Hannam because it's the newest. Remember shiny & new doesn't always equal the best. Today, not only did my cart disappear, but so did another shopper's. Never has this ever happened in all the decades of Korean grocery store shopping. People are always leaving their cart if they step away to grab an item from another aisle or section. We had a pretty full cart. We scoured the whole floor and nada. We even bumped into another lady who was looking for her cart. I even asked multiple employees if they clear the floor of any carts and they all said no. I highly highly doubt a customer has done this. I truly believe an employee saw it was sitting there or watched us walk away and did something. If it was just us, possible customer. But to another customer in the same period of time. Nah dude. Mainly, I'm super pissed because I grabbed some of the last packages of my fav snacks so there was no point in getting a cart and starting over. Anyways, you've been given a heads up. Don't walk away from your cart!

Yelp
Great selection of all Korean specialty foods. The deli-bakery is awesome parking is sketchy. A must try. very clean and modern.

Yelp
I wanted to love this place but I didn't; two reasons. It seemed to be much pricier than the place I usually go to in Korea town but the main reason is the layout of the store and where things were placed drove me nuts. It's as if they thought there wouldn't be enough room and placed things anywhere they could find. Rice cakes for instance were in 3 different places.... Why??? The isles were a little too narrow in certain areas so if someone stopped you had a traffic jam. On a positive note, they had some things I've never seen before. I don't think I'll be back and if I weren't in Hawthorne I would have just gone to my regular place, Galleria Market.

Yelp
The market is beautiful, which is why I gave it 2 stars instead of 1. However, I am very disappointed with their staff. EVERY SINGLE STAFF MEMBER I encountered was rude. It seems they all need training on customer service and actually, just how to treat others in general. Here are 2 examples. 1 - My young daughter and I bought a bag of chip-like snacks. The cashier grabbed it off the belt and squished it. Uh, who smashes a bag of chips? She was super cold towards both me and my daughter, tiny 7 year old, and never asked if I had a membership card, even though she asked the 2 people in front of me (both who were Korean language speaking patrons - I look Korean, but am not, and don't speak the language). She practically threw my change at me, which I nearly dropped. WTF? 2 - There are 2 entrances. Let's say we parked right next to Entrance A. We just experienced the above unpleasant check-out experience and headed towards Entrance A to leave. It was around 6:30pm and they close at 9pm. There was an employee there that was locking up that entrance, and I asked her if we could leave. She told us to go out the other door, but I told her I'm parked right by the door. She rolled her eyes and opened the sliding doors for us..... just enough for literally my small child to walk through. We made our way out and when I said, "Thank you", she scoffed. I told her she was being really rude and walked off. She did not care. There were other small encounters not worth mentioning, but they all left a bad taste in my mouth. And once I taste something bad, there's no reason to try it again. MAYBE I'll try again, if someone convinces me otherwise. If not, I will not be going back and will stick to HMART. Too bad. It seemed like a gorgeous place with so much potential.
