Hanoi Buffalo Hostel

The Buffalo tour was great, and all inclusive . It was nice paying a set price and in return getting the easy rider, food, accomodation and services included. I had Pao as an instructor, and he was very informative, I had Khai as a driver and I felt very safe throughout the duration of the trip. Honestly it’s a great vibe, the drivers are all a lot of fun, although they don’t speak much English, you end up having some very genuine moments with them. The actual driving experience was incredible too, winding through back roads and villages in such a cool part of the world. You’ll find mostly groups of 2-5 travelling within a group of 30-40 people. It’s a very social experience, constantly around people for 4-5 days straight, so definitely suited for extroverted people.

The Ha Giang Loop was an unforgettable experience with absolutely stunning landscapes at every turn. Riding through the mountains, valleys, and scenic passes was incredible. A special thanks to my driver Minh – he was very skilled, careful, and friendly, and made me feel safe the entire time. His local knowledge and positive attitude made the trip even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a real adventure in northern Vietnam!

The Ha Giang motorcycle tour was great! Good group sizes (10 riding, and 30 in total) with lots of opportunities to socialize. The drivers were very attentive and safe. We drove some scenic routes with spectacular views. Good accommodation- would recommend bringing ear plugs and toilet paper! Also warm clothes as it can be chilly in the evenings.

I recently completed the 3 nights, 4 days Ha Giang Loop with Buffalo Hostel, and it was an unforgettable experience. Everything was super well organized from start to finish — honestly, one of the most seamless trips I’ve ever taken. The views were breathtaking, the atmosphere was fun, and the whole journey felt safe and well-coordinated. I’m truly grateful for this experience; it’s something I know I’ll remember for the rest of my life. Huge shoutout to my driver — you were absolutely amazing! Great view and great hospitality from the drivers as well as the locals! We took the 4D3N trip and while the weather was unfavourable, the alternative routes were great still! Nick is a great team leader and would definitely comeback again! Shoutout to my easyrider being extremely good at driving and he even brought along a speaker for me to play music along the way!

I couldn’t recommend this tour more! I previously completed the Hà Giang Loop several years ago. My second time doing it with Buffalo completely exceeded my expectations. The easy rider made the journey smooth and safe. The accommodation was very cosy. The food was excellent. Over the course of the 3 days I got to see and do loads and they were very friendly with the happy water.

I did the 4 day 3 night loop as an over 30 solo traveller and had so much fun. The drivers are careful, skilled and friendly. I met heaps of great people of all ages. The views are amazing. One of the best experiences during my travels. One small thing was the private rooms I stayed in were comfortable but could have been cleaner. Thanks to our group leader Timmy and Dũng for making it a great week.

I did the 4 day 3 nights Ha Giang Loop Tour with Buffalo Hostel and the experience was amazing! The easy riders made the drive very safe and enjoyable, we got to stop at various places to admire the scenery and take pictures, and we went on many adventures discovering caves, going on hikes, visiting villages, and much more! The evening karaoke sessions with happy water were great too. I loved the authentic experience with a small group. I want to thank my easy rider Thien as he is the best driver and was driving perfectly, and explained more about the culture along the way, and even taught me a card game. I loved it!
