"Choosing a good hotel is hard, and sometimes at the end of the day, you settle on a subpar place just so you can crash. However, out of all the hotels in Amsterdam you could stay in, there’s one hotel that you want to absolutely avoid. The Hans Brinker has touted itself as the “Worst Hotel in the World,” a title that is decidedly accurate. Through an entirely ironic advertising campaign marketing themselves as the worst hotel in the world, they take a good-natured poke at their service, but they don’t just stop at the clever advertisements. According to former guests, the hotel truly lives up to its advertising schtick. I absolutely don’t recommend this place. Not worth a cent. We paid 400 euros for a room for two persons for two nights (superior twin room). The room looks more like a prison cell. Two beds and a chair. This is all that was in the room for such a price. There is absolutely no place for things. No additional shelves in the room and bathroom. The shower gel was empty. There is also absolutely no sound insulation. You will hear absolutely everything. It wasn’t possible to sleep and rest. We also had breakfast included, but at check-in we were given the wrong color wristband and we couldn’t get breakfast with it. When we started to find out, the girl from the reception first looked at the wrong room, although we told her the name and room number,then when we already showed the reservation in the app Booking, she changed the bracelet.

This was a really nice hostel. Rooms were spacious for having four roommates and the bathrooms were nice. Good atmosphere in the bar and just a good overall experience honestly. Newer and cleaner than other hostels and I appreciate it being like that. However other people staying in the building can be very noisy and not considerate of their neighbors. They’ll yell and scream and slam doors at all hours of the day and night

I stayed thier for three nighs, Location was great, friendly and helpful staff, rooms clean. Everything was as expected from a hostel. The bathroom is just too small ! I had been traveling around Europe it is definitely one of the smallest bathrooms but it is clean! Also, You just may consider that the room it was a little bit warm and has no air conditioning, I didn't face an issue with that as I was staying in June, but you may consider this in much warmer months.

6 people in room with a bathroom It was good ! Check in and out was quick! The staff are nice! And the locker was big But the bathroom is just too small ! I had been traveling around Europe it is definitely one of the smallest bathrooms but it is clean! too much noise from opening the door and closing the door... It will be good if you just need to sleep !

Location is top, rooms were alright just a little small and during summer the room heats up quite strongly. Breakfast is good for Hostel standards. Would definitely recommend if you don’t want to spend to much money on a Hotel.

Location was great, friendly and helpful staff, rooms clean, breakfast was fine. Happy hr great. Outdoor patio was excellent. Wifi good. Single rooms great, dorm rooms hot at night. We are a group of six on the mature side and found this place perfect for the price.

This hostel is clean, has a perfect location and a great common area and food in their restaurant, however the room facilities are very noisy. Since it’s a hostel, they could put bunk beds and drawers less noisy! :)

This was a very clean place to stay. Had good breakfast, great atmosphere, a bar and a large central area to sit/ watch tv etc. Also has a underground bar at night. The location was a little bit of a walk to central Amsterdam but it was so worth it due to the clean and safe neighborhood.
