The Hans Brinker has touted itself as the “Worst Hotel in the World,” a title that is decidedly accurate. Through an entirely ironic advertising campaign marketing themselves as the worst hotel in the world, they take a good-natured poke at their service, but they don’t just stop at the clever advertisements. According to former guests, the hotel truly lives up to its advertising schtick. While most hotel goers feel that the 25 euro/night price is worth a little discomfort, it seems that the Hans Brinker hotel makes an effort to create the most uncomfortable hotel experience possible. Dirty sheets (guaranteed to improve your immune system), crappy lockers, flooded bathrooms, and the unavoidable wafts of marijuana smoke around the place is enough to drive anyone away – on the other hand, you do get what you pay for. Strangely enough, there seems to be some genius behind it all. The hotel, despite all of its flaws, still manages to book rooms.
