Where to Drink Local Vodka, Whiskey, Gin, Mead, and More in Napa, Sonoma, and Marin | Eater SF

"Though the mother ship in Sonoma also offers a tasting room with chocolate truffle and caviar pairings for the brand’s well-regarded vodka, Hanson’s Sausalito space is distinctly Marin. Set above an art gallery with views across Richardson Bay to San Francisco, the lounge is framed as much by the view as by the artwork. Start with a Mandarin Greyhound, then pair it with Regis Ova Caviar or Hog Island Oysters. A cheese and charcuterie plate is available for the seafood averse." - Christina Mueller

Such a great place in downtown Sausalito to grab a drink, vodka tasting, or just hang out! Parkingw can be a little busy and difficult or park but great vibes, friendly staff and great artwork!

It was a great experience! Jim, our host, was very knowledgeable about the vodkas. I had the Ladies in Lavender cocktail with an edible flower and it was delicious. I'd definitely recommend trying them all - it's worth it! Also the art work in the gallery is really interesting and conversation worthy.

Super cute art gallery where you can get cocktails while you hang and look around. Really cute upstairs lounge with more art. Espresso martini was yummy! Family owned business.

Today, we took the ferry to Sausalito and made our first stop at this distillery. Who knew you could do a vodka tasting in the Bay Area? Jim was our server, and he was fantastic—not to mention easy on the eyes! He explained each vodka with great detail, which made the impromptu private experience even more enjoyable. I especially loved the butterfly pea flower cocktail, and my favorite vodka flavors were the cucumber and the espresso—they were both excellent. This was such a memorable experience, and I’d definitely love to return!

Incredible experience!! The Vodka is delicious and I wish I would've gotten the name of our mixologist because he was Great!! Can't wait to go back!! Get the Ladies love Lavender, (or something like that) you won't be disappointed!

Exceptionally amazing cocktails, food, and service. The server Shannon was extremely attentive and elevated the overall dining experience. One of my few five star reviews, will absolutely be coming again.

We did vodka tasting here. It was a really good experience! Cass showed us all about how vodka is distilled, and how it is infused with different organic flavors. My favorites were the ginger vodka and the habanero vodka! She even made special cocktails for us based on what we liked. 10/10 experience!

Amazing drinks. You’re not going to taste a better fine crafted vodka drink…. Don’t pass it by. Plus there’s great for the home.

Yelp
Vodka tasting in a gallery?! Yes please! The vodka distillery creator is also an artist, which makes this blend between an art gallery and a tasting space so wonderful. The gallery existed first - and then they added the distillery tasting bar! The owner's own art is on display, along with a few other local artists. We didn't stop for a full tasting or cocktail since it was before lunch, but the bartender did offer us a sample of their new coffee vodka - delicious! What a fun stop for a stroll in Sausalito - highly recommend, especially if you didn't make it to Hanson Distillery's location in Napa.

Yelp
Don't know why I thought a spontaneous vodka tasting the middle of the day was a good idea but no regrets LOL. My friend and I each did the 'Three Vodka Expressions and Cocktail' tasting option. Thank God we did that because I think we would've passed out if we did the 'Six Vodka Expressions' tasting. Our server was fantastic and so on top of it. She explained that the tasting sizes would be one sip each, but honestly, I'd say they were almost a shot each, so you're really getting bang for your buck. The vodka itself tastes refreshing but strong, and I loved how we got to try an assortment of unique flavors. My favorite was probably the Mandarin or Meyer Lemon ones, but the Habanero was also such an interesting experience. I also loved that the tasting was in a gallery. It was a more serene and chill experience, and you can't go wrong with being surrounded by cool art pieces.

Yelp
Was visiting and cruising through Sausalito and this particular spot caught our attention- art, drinks, seafood and light bites! With 2 different levels to view Sausalito. We stopped by on a Friday evening right before closing and was greeted by Shannon who was very friendly, knowledgeable, and energetic. She sold us on grabbing a drink. Since we sat downstairs so many people inquired stopping by but it was too close to closing. People stopped by to fill out there shipments and grabbed a drink before catching the ferry into the city. Dog walkers/owners love stopping by here for a nice doggy treat. We learned so much about the history of Hanson Distillery and never noticed it passing through Sonoma, I have to check out their actual location out there. As for their vodka tasting, they have many flavors to choose from and they are pretty strong. I always struggle with distillery tastings and underestimate how much alcohol we really intake. We did the 3 vodka expressions and a cocktail for $30. I got the grapefruit, cucumber, and hananero. All really good and different flavors. I opted for their Old fashioned which was an additional $30, it is quite pricey but it was a really good and strong drink. I love me a good old fashioned. My friends got the road to Hana and to bee or not to bee (most popular and recommended). All really good, refreshing and easy to drink. If you're in the area and looking for a nice chill spot, would highly recommend stopping by here and checking out the art on display-- family owned and operated. The Hanson family has a lot to share. Parking would have to be street parking or within the lots by the wharf and you'd just have to walk a little bit.

Yelp
Love this little hidden gem that is also an art gallery. We stayed at the downstairs bar, but they do have a little more space at the upstairs section. I'm actually not the biggest fan of vodka, but I enjoyed my tasting. I chose to do the three vodka expressions and a cocktail for $30. The three vodka flavors I chose were the cucumber, Meyer lemon and mandarin. All were smooth tasting and would be an excellent addition to any cocktail. I was very pleased with my cocktail of choice. I ended up getting a drink that was off menu that was hibiscus flavored. It was so refreshing, but not overly taken over by sweetness. They make a variety of flavors so you are bound to like at least one. I can't say which flavor I personally liked more because I liked them all. If you are one to enjoy mixed drinks the cocktail club membership is very intriguing. Honestly if I drank more often I would have signed up to be a member. But I'm really just an occasional drinker so it wouldn't be worth it for me.

Yelp
A cool place to stop by and taste some awesome grape-based vodkas. The art gallery was neat and had some super interesting bronze artwork when I visited. The tasting I had featured my own choice of vodkas followed by a cocktail also of my own choosing. I liked that the tasting wasn't preset and I got to choose which vodkas I wanted to sample. The service was also top-notch. I felt welcomed just walking in, and the lady working the bar was fun to talk to.

Yelp
Wow, I love the concept of combining an art studio with a bar--especially a hard-liquor bar. We stopped by this place on a weekend and this place was surprisingly popping despite Covid. The art was decent, but I suspect it had a lot with the amazing mixologist whipping up cocktails to go disguised in coffee cups. Freaking genius!!! We ended up getting a Bloody Mary to go and look forward to drinking it at home. We'll definitely stop by when Covid is over to enjoy the real experience.

Yelp
Disappointed by the serving of hand towels from the restroom as napkins for brunch. They could have tried harder

Yelp
Such an amazing place! I came here with my friends for my birthday and they made the tasting + art experience so memorable. It was all set up for our party upstairs and they were so accommodating. The tasting was fun and the quality was remarkable. I will definitely be back again next time I'm in Sausalito!

Yelp
Handcrafted flavored vodka made with organic ingredients, festive cocktails that highlight that vodka and beautiful artwork all along a picturesque setting makes for a great tasting experience along the Sausalito waterfront. At the Hanson of Sonoma Tasting Room at Hanson Gallery (now that's a mouthful of a title) any visitor can enter to look at the extensive art collection of Hanson Gallery, which has a wide variety of artwork from around the world. But what makes this art gallery so different from all of the others that dot Bridgeway in Sausalito is they also serve highly-specialized vodka in addition to craft cocktails. A friend and I had made some plans to meet up in Marin County, and a vodka and cocktail tasting sounded like the perfect way to spend an afternoon. My friend and I had previously been to the Hanson Gallery for a special event many years before and we both promised ourselves to one day make a return visit because we both remembered how great their flavored vodkas, or as they call them here, expressions tasted. Reservations were easy to make and prepay for online. They have a number of tastings and pairings to select from, but we opted for their Hanson Vodka Tasting of 3 Expressions and a Cocktail for 30 dollars a person. They have five vodka flavors made with organic ingredients that they also sell by the bottle: Original, Cucumber, Meyer Lemon, Mandarin and Habanero. When we arrived, there were plenty of seats available for us to sit as there are two levels to the art gallery with plenty of sofas, counter areas, and even elegantly set outdoor tables in front of their front door on Bridgeway. We decided to sit right at their main bar on their first floor, so we got to see our mixologist Shannon weave her magic, as she not only explained every vodka we decided to try, she showed us how she made our handcrafted cocktails, in addition to creating a number of cocktails that other customers ordered for takeout, which thankfully has now become a major thing due to our current situation. At Hanson, they craft their vodka in their own distillery in nearby Sonoma, which is appropriate since it is wine country and their vodka is distilled from organic grapes and infused with organic ingredients to create a pure and deliciously smooth vodka that's both gluten and GMO free. Since we pre-ordered their three expressions and a cocktail tasting we were allowed to select from their five aforementioned vodkas, plus a seasonal vodka and a whiskey they craft in Sonoma and sell here in their tasting room in Sausalito. I opted for their Cucumber, Mandarin and Habanero vodkas, and although they had a vast menu of cocktails to select from, Shannon let us know they actually had a secret menu that actually had a few extra cocktails on it, one of which featured their seasonal expression, or vodka if you will, called the Prickly and Pink, which took the pink part from a cactus plant and mixed it with their seasonal Hawaiian Ginger Vodka, and Shannon added a little orange bitters direct from local purveyor Bitter Girl Bitters. My friend decided to order their Road to Hana cocktail which features their Hanson Ginger Vodka, Passionfruit, Lime and Agave, which was the cocktail that I would have ordered, had it not been for their secret menu. The Expressions, or vodkas, tasted wonderful as the flavors of all three that we tried, really rang throughout each sip we enjoyed. Their Cucumber Expression has two types of cucumber with a tiny hint of mint, while their Mandarin Expression are cuties sourced from a local farm in Sebastopol, and their Habanero has that extra kick of jalapeno every drop. The star of our afternoon was definitely their cocktails, my Prickly and Pink was made with such precision by Shannon and it was so sublime yet still festive that I felt I was sipping on a drink on the beaches of Kona, which is where Hanson's sources the ginger from which make this particular vodka. I can't wait to return many more times in the year to sample their other seasonal expressions, where they take seasonal ingredients and turn them into a special flavor of vodka, from Boysenberry in the fall to Espresso in the Winter to Grapefruit in the Summer, there isn't a season that doesn't sound divine. Enjoying my time at Hanson of Sonoma Tasting Room sipping on both cocktails and vodka shots is the only way to spend a relaxing Saturday afternoon with friends. They also serve charcuterie platters, shucked oysters and marcona almonds, of which we ordered some and noshed while we sipped away. Here they make you feel as if we were all members of their Club, of which we saw many people come in to pick up their quarterly bottle shipments, in addition to pre-mixed cocktails to-go. They're proud to be both distillers and artists at the Hanson of Sonoma Tasting Room at Hanson Gallery and at their Sausalito location, you get the best of both worlds.

Yelp
We came here on a Saturday to escape the 4 walls of our home. It was so much fun. Everyone wears masks and the seating is all outside so we also felt very safe. The staff ass attentive and friendly. I've only ever done wine tasting so a vodka tasting was a great change of pace. The tasting comes with some small bites. I especially enjoyed the habanero vodka which surprised me. I'd love to use it with the cucumber to make a tasty drink. Definitely stop in for something different when you're in Sausalito.

Yelp
I love this place!!!! I have been to this area twice this year and have stopped by both times. The first time was by accident and we did not expect to enjoy it so much. We came for 1 cocktail and we ended up staying for 3. The outside seating is amazing because you get a great view and people/dog/car watching is always fun. The cocktails here are delish (and pretty) and you really can't go wrong with any that you choose. They have hog island oysters as well :) They were short staffed both times I came (one lady being the only server, cleaner and making all the food), but I was never in a rush both times. Place to relax and enjoy some conversation with your group and although pricey, I think the overall experience is great, so I would come back.

We ordered the: - Smoked trout: phenomenal 10/10 - Cheese and charcuterie: The cheeses and olives were the best part. 10/10 - Hog Island steamers: The best part of the meal, 15/10 recommend. And for drinks: Prickly and pink: 9/10 super unique Mandarin greyhound: 9/10 amazing fresh grapefruit juice Strawberry ginger aid: 10/10 the best drink here! Please order this! Mango tango: 8/10 super yummy and it had a nice tajin rim! Shout out to our server Shannon and Marina. They were incredibly sweet and had the best recommendations. I will be returning, big fan! Thank you!

Yelp
It's 5:38 and they said they're closed yet their Yelp says they close at 6. The guy working there confirmed they close at 6. Once I said I was going to leave a bad review he allowed a Caucasian couple in but not us Asians. Interesting... it's ok we went to a better bar down the street. Will never support and will make sure our friends and family won't as well. Poor ethics and completely racist.

Yelp
Met up with couple friends for cocktails & snacks on a weekend afternoon. Pretty quiet, we were the only one at their second floor bar. I didn't have a chance to browse the gallery but love the concept of art gallery cocktail lounge. Cocktail selection is great & the oysters are fresh!

Yelp
Came for the art, stayed for the cocktails made with love from Sharon. Excited to see art by Carolyn Reynolds

Yelp
When you come to the Hanson Tasting Room you will find yourself elevated, in more ways than one! First, it's up on the second floor of their art gallery, with a picturesque view of The Golden Gate Bridge, like a window-framed vista painting. Secondly, the tasting room atmosphere is hip and lively while still being a break from the hustle and bustle of Bridgeway Av. traffic and tourism. The best way we were elevated was the unmistakably high quality and smooth delivery of the grape based vodkas that Hanson serves up. We tried three crafted cocktails made from their elixir, most memorably the Meyer Lemon Mule, and triumphant take-off on a Moscow Mule. What really jazzed up our cocktails, and showcased just some of the possibilities of this wonderful vodka were the Bitter Girl's small batch Bitters. It was a summer lemonade punch of your childhood.... all grown up. Wonderful. The Old Fashioned was so smooth that it got me over the distaste I have had for whiskey in the past. This was one way for me to appreciate this very fine whiskey. I am excited to know where in Sausalito to take friends when we're in Sausalito so we can feel more like visitors than tourists.

Yelp
Sat there for 22 min and never had one of the bartender (tasting room employees even look our way) there only 4 other people were there and they too said "Good Luck". They will just had you your tasting and not tell you about it and then you have to ask for your cocktail that goes with the flight.. We then had some friends who had the same experience on Wednesday of this week. We decided to just walk out.. Had such high hopes.. I would be so upset and as a business owner myself these employees just do not care sorry to say..

Yelp
Out of all the liquor out there in the world, vodka is my favorite. I always have some on hand at home. I was first introduced to Hanson at a friend's house. Another friend brought the ginger vodka and told us she had joined their club. On a bright, sunny, beautiful Sunday afternoon, we decided to take a trip here so the friend could pick up her vodka shipment and enjoy a tasting because why drive all those miles just to pick up a shipment?! We had such a fantastic time! We sat outside (cause Covid is still out there messing life up for everybody), and Andrew took really good care of us, explaining the vodka process and recommending a few cocktails. While you can taste six flavors, I settled on tasting three vodkas and having a cocktail (I love this idea). Having already tasted the original, I selected the cucumber, meyer lemon and grapefruit (which is a special release), and the guava lava (has the habanero and mandarin vodka) as my cocktail. Have you ever had a cocktail so good that you try to commit all the flavors to memory so you can recreate it at home? Well, I do, and I loved the guava lava so much that I'll eventually try and make it myself. I love that these vodkas are smooth on the palate and are great to sip all by themselves. That grapefruit really stood out though. Hoping I can find it on the shelf somewhere! My friend's enjoyed the oysters, while I enjoyed the olives and marcona almonds. I can't wait to go back and I will eventually join the club because it's worth it!

Yelp
I stumbled on Hanson vodka's new tasting room during a day trip to Sausalito with a group of friends, and I was blown away by the experience. This tasting room is gorgeous, and is also an art gallery, making it one of a kind and perfect for photos. I am usually a wine-drinker, but Hanson vodka has changed that due to it's amazing quality. Their vodka is made from grapes, is organic and gluten-free. As someone who is health-conscious I was able to enjoy their delicious cocktails guilt-free. The staff at Hanson's delivered impeccable hospitality, and were extremely knowledgeable. Me and my friends ended up purchasing a few bottles, and our mixologist was kind enough to give us cocktail recipes for us to try at home. I can't wait for my next trip to Sausalito so I can go back to Hanson's, definitely recommend!

Tina G.

Yelp
I initially bought the tasting plus chocolate experience as an engagement gift for some friends and finally got to try the place for ourselves this past weekend. The location is in the heart of the downtown of Sausalito so it's a good idea to reserve yourself a little extra time to find parking. From start to end, this was a wonderful experience. The vodka is very craft fully made with great care which comes across during the tasting. Of the 6 we tried I actually enjoyed the original the most. We also added cocktails (really well done, the Inked, especially) and hog island oysters which paired well. I can't remember the name of our server but he's tall, has curly hair, and manned the upstairs bar. If you're comfortable sitting indoors definitely go with him - he's warm, funny, gives you the right amount of attention without being intrusive, and makes great cocktails. The art gallery itself has a wonderful collection. What a talented and classy family! Definitely want to come back to check it out again and for cocktails.

Yelp
Shannon is phenomenal! What a wonderful afternoon excursion. If you haven't been here it's a definitely a destination stop! Cheers!

Yelp
Absolutely the best restaurant in Sausalito! Shannon was our server and I have yet to have the better experience than what she provided for us. She is an outstanding server and everything she recommended was DELICIOUS!!! From the smoked trout to the vodka tasting, she had amazing recommendations across the board!! I am telling you, if you decide to come to Hansons, call to make sure Shannon is serving! Love you Shannon, we will all come back for you!!!!! I wish I could rate this a 6 out of 5 stars because it is THAT MUCH OF GREAT EXPERIENCE!!!! P.S. GET THE MANGO TANGO OR THE STRAWBERRY COCKTAIL

Yelp
This is honestly the best tasting vodka ! The customer service and very knowledgeable! I am so happy I stopped, the art gallery was awesome!
google avatar

Yelp
This is definitely a fun and informative experience. I bring my out of town guests here and it's always memorable. Their vodkas and pairings are perfection. You can also purchase vodka cocktails and relax for a bit. This is a must do while in beautiful Sausalito!

Yelp
We've been to the Hanson's in Sonoma & it was a wonderful visit! The one in Sausalito was Awesome & Halloween festive. Marina was the beautiful mermaid who served all the wonderful cocktails & food. We did a reservation thru Tok & it was very easy to use. It was a very pleasant vodka tasting experience w/ oysters , charcuterie board & salami sandwich & clam chowder( definitely try it was yummy goodness...WOW!) By the way YES !!! the salami sandwich was deliciously simple maybe it was the artisan sourdough bread or the cafe setting that added to the ambience it was nice. Sanitizer on the tables & the beautiful mermaids wore masks. The whole crew were so very warm & friendly & professional. The only thing, that was an issue was maybe a mistake on my part (possibly?) I was under the impression when I made the reservation that the 2 cocktails & charcuterie X2, were already included in the price plus the tip. We were charged additional $42 for the cocktails ? The sandwich & soup of course was addition on us. I didn't realize till we got home which is a little over an hour away. I know we will be back for the outstanding service & cocktails & clam chowder & sandwich! Y'ALL ROCK! The beautiful gallery is pretty awesome too!

Yelp
It was my first time here at Hanson . I can say that it was a really positive experience. I had an inconvenience last minute and they and they were so understanding and accommodating. The hostess was super knowledgeable and super sweet to me and my friends . The vodka was not strong to be honest . I feel like a Mike hard lemonade is stronger. But anyways an overall good experience.

Yelp
While walking around Sausalito, we spontaneously tried this place. Cute area with a nice view. Vodka tasting price was reasonable compare to where it is located. Loved the view and enjoyed the art gallery as well. The service was great and vodka was tasty! We will be back!

Yelp
TEST REVIEW will my CAPS LOCK WORK also 10/10 place wouljd recommendations :) OK YELP says I have to make my review longer to post so that it's actually helpful so here we go helpful tip whatever u do order the cucumber vodka it's the best one and when the server brings out the water and says "let me know if you need more vodka" make sure you go "haha" bc it's a jokes and if you don't laugh then awkward silence

Yelp
I have visited the distillery and was excited to check out the new concept in Sausalito. & I loved it when I visited. A dangerously unique place to check out beautiful art and have complementary organic vodka tasting. So cool! I thought the bottle was art itself and picked one up, great gift! I managed to make it out without purchasing any art... this time! Thanks, Sarah, for being so helpful! See you all again soon!
google avatar

Yelp
What a lovely experience. Starting with the food, every dish we tried was thoughtfully put together. My favorite was the Smoked Trout Crostini! For drinks, the strawberry gingerade was the perfect balance of sweetness and tartness. To top it off, Shannon and Marina were so attentive and accommodating. Truly one of my favorite restaurants. Definitely a must-try in Sausalito! We'll be back :)

Yelp
I visited this distillery at the recommendation of a friend and was really amazed! I had never done a vodka tasting before, but Shannon was so friendly and knowledgable and walked us through each of our delicious vodka flavors (mandarin and cucumber were two of my favorites). We definitely had to buy a bottle to take home and will be back soon!

Yelp
After our tasting, we decided to order a few bottles of vodka. When we arrived home we find out that what we received wasn't what we ordered. I sent multiple emails and completed the form on the site and no one ever contacted me. Pretty disappointing customer service.

Yelp
Quaintie organic vodka room with Hog Island oyster. We ordered two grey hounds (delish) and half dozen oysters. Oysters were brine and sweet perfect pair with the drink.

Yelp
I came here on a Saturday (10/5) at 4:15 for a party of 3 I had made reservations via Tock (exploretock.com) for 3 cocktails, a charcuterie board (large), and a dozen oysters. Arriving 10 minutes early we saw that there was on two people on staff and there were 5 parties being served (2 outside/ 3 inside). Minding social distancing, I stepped inside because the reservation was under my name. I stood there for about 5 minutes and was ignored by the bartender... (no worries I assumed they were busy and just didn't see me) I mentioned to the bartender that I was here for my reservation and it was for a table of 3. I was again ignored until my friend ( also a WOC) went in and asked if we would take the table outside. 3 times the server and bartender walked out and ignored our table. Luckily, I caught the attention of the busser a male (POC) and, asked in Spanish if we could get some water and that we had a reservation.... 15 minutes pass no drink order, no acknowledgment I was told to ask for Shannon. Finally, someone who was bringing out the tab for the table next to us came and asked if we could be served. She reluctantly agreed (as she was backing away from our table) and said that it would be another 5 minutes or so... Note that more customers had come in and been served no problem and without any hesitation. It started to drizzle and one of the people from my party asked if we would move inside. We were told " uh I guess, there's a table you can choose" We were offered no help as we grabbed our waters and moved inside. Once inside, 15 minutes later the server brought our drinks out and asked if we wanted to order. I reminded them for the 3rd time that I had prepaid for the oyster and charcuterie board. 25 minutes later we were brought our oysters with no plates, no napkins, and had to ask for water (we sat literally next to the bar). Our table was cleared but not offered any new plates and was told to hold onto the oyster forks for the charcuterie board which was the normal size when I had paid for the large. We ordered another round of drinks and ultimately paid for the 2nd round and left. Throughout our time there, I noticed that the bartender and server were friendly to other tables, conversing and laughing. When we tried to engage they were curt and unfriendly. The reason for the low score is because of the service... as a woman of color, I try not to be hypersensitive to discrimination or ill-treatment based on the color of my skin or the color of my peers. However, I felt like the service me and the table received was because of our appearance. Two women of color and one non-woman of color. I was embarrassed... My friend had mentioned multiple times that we were getting treated differently and after about a week of reflection, I can say that it wasn't because the tasting room was busy but perhaps because of who we are. Not saying this place is racist by any means but I'd rather be supporting small businesses that treat all their patrons equally.

Ineke B.

Yelp
Wonderful experience with Jim and Sharon! We sampled 6 amazing infused vodkas and shared great conversation. They also have amazing art in a gallery setting. You MUST stop by and check it out.

Yelp
BeAUTiful place. Awesome location can really catch some awesome views day or night! lots of ample parking in area. Is almost like an all in one inclusive spot. You can view and buy beautiful art and gifts downstairs. You can also keep the party going by moving upstairs where there is an awesome tasting room and a view to die for with wonderful bay windows. Stay and have an organic cocktail with handmade bitters that has a history and story that's long-lasting. Catch the views and shimmy your way to the docks for more:) Awesome place, great ambiance, wonderful organic vodka, whiskey, and bitters. Unique beautiful artwork with a friendly helpful staff in the most beautiful city in the bay Sausalito.

Yelp
Stopped in on a Saturday while walking around downtown Sausalito with our little one. He ran straight for the art, I ran straight to the bar. They sell fresh-made cocktails in glass bottles and mason jars (already a winner in my book), as well as whiskey and flavored vodkas. My husband was present so I had to refrain from ordering a case of anything. I opted for the Meyer Lemon Vodka as I am a regular lemon drop drinker. The salesperson was extremely nice and helpful. She tossed in a lemon drop recipe card. We drove to my parents house where I followed said recipe card... 15 mins later everyone was knocked off their asses and kept saying "ohhh this drink is soooo good!" My husband was the first one to go down--asleep on the couch. My father dozed off on the floor with my toddler bouncing on him like he was trying to get a lame horse to buck. It was spectacular. I'm glad they have an online store because I will be ordering a case of ANYTHING from them.

Yelp
I don't even know where to begin with how amazing my experience. The art was beautiful and the the cocktails... TO DIE FOR. The prickly pear cocktail was delicious with perfect notes of sweet and sour. The art was gorgeous and the ambiance was absolutely amazing.

Yelp
If I could give them zero stars, I would. I made a reservation to taste when they opened at 12 and instead of my table being reserved, we were given the choice of tables only in the sun because walk in customers had been served and were sitting in the shade. The lady working there was so frazzled and rude as she told us how she was neglecting her customers by explaining that the tables with a 4 top are for customers in groups of 4. She made attempts to problems solve and made me feel like she could do without my patronage. Disappointing considering Hanson of Sonoma had bee recommended by a friend, but Sausalito is much closer. I'd planned to return the following weekend for my anniversary, but not now. Will try Sonoma before completely moving on.

Yelp
Amazing vodka, tasty cocktails, friendly staff... all while looking at beautiful art. I mean, what more could you ask for?? The club membership is definitely worth the price as the vodka is seriously delicious and priced very well. Shannon helps manage the club and a lot of other aspects of the business, and always goes so far above and beyond.

Yelp
I stopped into the Hanson tasting room/gallery and overall had an excellent experience. The bottom floor is an art gallery, and the tasting room and more art lies on the second floor, which made for a unique afternoon. The staff are friendly and our mixologist Shannon was both very attentive and informative, and made our experience that much more enjoyable. As for the drinks, we opted for a truffle pairing, and full expression tasting. The truffle pairing is crafted specifically for Hanson vodkas (some of them containing the vodka as an ingredient), and the expressions range from cucumber to Habanero. They all taste great, and some really feel like they are a health drink, being certified organic. Overall a great time, will definitely be back.

Yelp
Had the best time at Hanson. The hog island steamers were out of this world and the charcuterie board was flawless. Every cocktail we tried was great and the attentive service was even better. Thanks to Shannon and Marina for making our day.

Yelp
I stopped by during the week with my 5 year old and 22 year old. The woman at the tasting area on the bottom floor was pleasant and extremely informative.. However, the man who was on his laptop in the art gallery was not pleased with our presence. It was very apparent and unpleasant.

Yelp
I've actually been to their distillery in Sonoma and just went to their tasting room in Sausalito and it is so charming! Great atmosphere, you can look at some beautiful art, learn about vodka (the staff is incredibly nice and informative) and have a delicious cocktail! Great spot to stop by when you're in the neighborhood!
