"This fifth-generation Framingham farm features pick-your-own berries, pumpkins, and flowers, depending on the season; pumpkin picking generally goes into November. There’s also a fall corn maze, a haunted hayride in October, and a very photogenic sunflower field. The farm stand is open from May through November; watch for cider doughnut sundaes. Don’t forget to visit the horses, sheep, chickens, and turkey." - Rachel Leah Blumenthal

Loved the farm and the beautiful flowers. We were lifted with a beautiful sunflower and a mini pumpkin. Everyone working there were very pleasant and professional.

We had a good time at the corn maze and the donuts were extremely tasty. HOWEVER, in the central area of the corn maze, we noticed large Datura Stratmonium plants growing. They are extremely toxic and dangerous plants, which can kill or induce prolonged deliriant psychosis. When we saw the very large, very well established plants growing in the maze, we decided to get our toddler out asap, because a single swallowed seed would likely be fatal, and little kiddos put everything in their mouths. Price was a little steep for the size of the maze. Overall i want to say that places like this are extremely important and good community resources, and need to be protected and supported. However, for the money they charged, they should have gotten rid of the toxic plants, given the presence of children.

Hanson's farm is a hidden gem! Tucked away in a corner of Framingham they have a variety of produce, local goods, and in the fall, a pumpkin patch and sunflower field!

This place is so cute and we were pleasantly surprised to see so many healthy sunflowers still in season! We visited on a sunny Sunday and we were relieved to see that there was plenty of parking to accommodate the weekend guests. (we read reviews at other orchards/mazes in the area that had people waiting 45-60 minutes just to park! *cough cough* Honey Pot, Davis Mega Maze) We walked up to the farm stand and were immediately greeted by the friendly workers at the registers, and we could already smell the sugar in the air from the fresh cider donuts. It was $20 each to go on the hay ride, look at the happy sheep, walk the premises, see the mini pond, take pictures in the sunflower field, sit at the picnic tables or benches, play corn hole, and explore the maze. Additionally, all adults are gifted a mini pumpkin, which is included in the $20/pp. We took our time and spent over 2.5 hours here, so we definitely thought it was worth the price. There isn't a map or stamps to collect while you go through the maze (which I'm not used to), but it actually made it more fun to purposely go down every path (we turned right at every fork in the road, even if we could see it was a dead end)! They also had old school, abandoned tractors in random spots in the maze which helped us figure out where we were - and they were cool to sit on and look around. The serving sizes of food were plentiful and I definitely recommend you split the baked potato ($6) and cider donut sundae ($8) because they're huge! I honestly think a family with 2 kids could share that sundae, haha. The pulled pork sandwiches were nice and smokey and came with plenty of meat, cheese, and pickles ($10). This was a great value and I hope it stays the same for next year! Oh! And more good things: they accept Apple pay and credit cards. So many farms are cash only so this was super convenient. Also they allow dogs in the maze and on the property, just keep them leashed of course :) In case you're wondering about other prices, bags of apples are $12, apple sauce $9, 6 cider donuts $8, s'mores are $5 (a little pricey), and beer was around $9

Google
i love this place. so magical and i had such a fun time with the maze !! donuts are gas, the workers are so friendly, just 10/10 will be visiting again

Google
Such a beautiful and quaint place to enjoy the New England fall season, less than an hour away from Boston! We opted not to pay the $20 admission per adult to the corn maze, pumpkin field etc, but still enjoyed the amazing apple cider donuts in the picnic area. There was also an ice cream “bus”, pulled pork sandwiches, beer&wine, and some adorable Shetland ponies. Truly could feel the authentic charm of a family-run farm.

Kelsey Christopher

Google
Amazing farm! I took my puppy to get him exposed to more people/animals. They have horses and other farm animals. All the workers are super nice. Great pumpkin selections! Delicious cider donuts. Fresh eggs and other produce grown right there. Priced really well. 10/10 will go back. Also everyone in small groups and wearing masks. I'm more at risk so don't venture many places but I felt safe here! Puppy loved it too!

I would say this was on the expensive side but absolutely gorgeous and lovely. Sunflower fields, lots of pumpkins, corn maze. We loved the farm stand and the nice selection of local food and flowers. We enjoyed our day and would recommend it for sure.

Yelp
Great Family time awaits at Hansons Farm. They have a Corn Maze, Sunflower Field, Pumpkin Patch and a few Farm Animals to see. They also have Pulled Pork and Loaded Baked Potatoes to Eat! If your looking for something to do on a Beautiful Fall Weekend, Hansons Farm is your place!

Denise F.

Yelp
Visited in mid October for the pumpkin patch and corn maze. The pumpkin patch was underwhelming, not many pumpkins to choose from. The hayride was pointless. The apple cider donuts were a 3/5. The best part of the experience was the corn maze which my party really enjoyed. There's a small free parking lot across the street, no street parking. There's picnic tables with beverage and food stands. The staff members were friendly and chatting with guests.

Russ B.

Yelp
The main reason for this rating is the $20 cost per adult, $15 for 6-12 year olds, with no discount for seniors or military. The corn stalk maze was no bigger than 1/2 a football field in size with very narrow paths that were cluttered with fallen stalks and rotted ears of corn - expect to trip or fall! About 3/4 of the sunflower field was non-existent, dead or poorly maintained, and the sunflowers that were living were only about 3-5 feet in size. Because of this patrons were not allowed a sunflower stalk as the website claimed. Even properly maintained and fully functional this rather run-down farm may still not be worth the price of admission - definitely one and done!

Andy C.

Yelp
Hayride, corn maze, cider doughnuts, sunflower field, sheep goats and mini ponies... my family had a blast!!! Love this place

M C.

Yelp
Cute little farm, not too crowded or too long of a wait for a hay ride. Lots of photo ops in the sunflower fields, pumpkin patch, little red wagons, big red chair. They had sheep and cute activities like make your own s'mores, and a beer and wine garden. The cider donuts did have an odd taste right out of the fryer, maybe old oil, but I just tried again and the flavor has settled. It was a little unsightly to see trash and piles of boxes as well as broken down cars along the side, but otherwise the scenery is very nice.

Yelp
We stopped at this farm first on a Saturday before going to Connors farm (although in opposite directions). This farm was everything and more. Like Connor's farm it was a $20 fee to enter but they also give you a free pumpkin when you leave which makes it much worth the $20. We originally came here for the sunflower field alone which was so pretty. And to our nice surprise there was pond that reflected the pond trees off the water so beautifully. Also 10/10 recommend the smoked pulled pork sandwich and loaded bake potato. I also loved that this farm had wine and beer to sip while walking around where as Connor's farm sells no alcohol. Hansons farm also had a small fire pit where kids could make their own s'mores which I thought was the cutest idea ever. Do not skip this farm.

Yelp
Loved it! I had a really good time here and didn't even know there was a farm in Framingham. It has been family owned for the longest time (1913) and there are a lot of photo opportunities with pumpkins, the corn maze and the sunflower field. I love being greeted by a chicken...there's also a chance to see the cow. They also have the best cider donuts ever!!!! I wish I had bought another bag. They often lovely pond ideal for weddings and special occasions. I would say this is very ideal for families. The corn maze was a good trek because these corn stems were so tall. Could have been a lot scarier but I ran into a tractor and abandoned RV. If they want to take it up a notch they should put some music and some halloween props to make it more exciting.

Lo L.

Yelp
Beautiful day in Framingham. This farm is 7 minutes from my house and I love it. The apple cider donuts were AMAZING, the employees literally couldn't keep up with the demand. My family loved them. The apple cider (cold) was also super delicious. We enjoyed the surprise addition of the empanada stand, yummmm, we loved them! The pumpkin patch, sunflowers, and overall vibe in this small farm but beautiful farm was wonderful.

Sharon S.

Yelp
Cute little farm with nice open spaces for the kids to run! We enjoyed the corn maze - tallest corn I've ever seen! Yummy treats were a bonus! The staff were all friendly and helpful. I will say parking may be an issue when busy unless you have a truck and you have to cross road.

Aimee J.

Yelp
Great farm with lots of fun Fall activities and various treats at the farm stand. Lovely wreaths in the winter, berry picking in the summer!

Taylor B.

Yelp
Love it here! Such an amazing local farm! Ice cream, cider donuts, veggies, honey, corn maze, sunflowers. Cows, kitties, sheep, chickens. And not to mention the foliage in the fall is to dieeeee for so beyond beautiful!

Dianna B.

Yelp
Perfect hidden gem ! We went on Saturday to go pumpkin picking and corn maze. The corn maze is perfect for little ones , my son 4 got us through it in about 20 mins. We took a hay ride to the corn maze, there are a few cows, and two pumpkin picking sections. This place a was great inexpensive Saturday afternoon outing.

Michelle C.

Yelp
Based on previous reviews, it seems they've made an effort to improve the hallowed experience. We happened on this place the first weekend of October. It was rainy and cold out and early in the season so we were the only family there. You can pick your own pumpkin in a cute little field they have set up for good photo ops. Think tractors, giant pumpkin, scarecrows, etc. The pumpkins are already cut as others have mentioned, but any other pumpkin field I've gone to did the same thing. They have animals roaming around and a couple of huge sheep. The tractor ride wasn't running, but we drove down the path and saw they had set up a corn maze in the back and a Halloween cemetery. There's also a small pond and a greenhouse.

Barbara s.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our first time visit to Hanson Farm. No waiting for a hayride and the corn maze was lots of fun with our 8 year old grandson. Lots of nice sized pumpkins at reasonable prices. They make apple cider donuts on site and they are always baking! Staff are very pleasant and welcoming. I had never been to this beautiful area of Framingham! I highly recommend Hanson farm. We will definitely return.

Skye G.

Yelp
I was looking for a place to go blueberry picking but sadly it wasn't here and was redirected to Togus Farms. They have a cute little store but I thought the prices were a bit high. It was off the beaten path so I don't think I'll be back for a while. Maybe I'll try the strawberry picking next year since the reviews gave a few thumbs up.

Elaine E.

Yelp
Really picturesque farm in Framingham, it's small and great for younger children. It's free entry, pumpkins start at 69 centers per pound, there are horses, goats, lemonade stand, tractors and wagon rides during the fall and the person running it is also very nice.

Ruben G.

Yelp
Corn maze was okay. Not the deepest and def not the tallest. But it does it's jobs. Horses available for viewing, free pumpkin (your choice) when leaving. $15 Entrance fee, $8 Cider Donuts (okay, tasted like cooked in old oil :-/) a good place for the fam and kids, hidden vehicles in the corn maze, search for them

Kate L.

Yelp
I love that so much of this place is free! The chicken coop is one of our favorite. Horses too. Nothing to pet/feed but still fun to look! Pumpkin selection was not amazing but it was good, fun scenic experience. The hayride was short but nice. Corn maze pretty decent. Halloween decorations are fun even during the day. Farm stand is great and affordable. Everyone is always so welcoming and nice. We also got our tree here last year for xmas and it lasted for weeks and was a good deal!

Tiffany E.

Yelp
$20 adult and $15 child entrance fee for a hay ride and corn maze admission is definitely a bit much.

Dawn E.

Yelp
This is a lovely small farm and farmer's market. Everything in their market is local, and they clearly label what's from their own farm. Most recently I picked up summer squashes, red tomatoes, kale, apples, and heirloom tomatoes. They didn't label the type of apple but I know it was very tart, and won't get apples for wating here again. Also, I'm assuming the squashes came fromanother farm, as they were recently refrigerated. They also was decent prices on plants and hangers. The tomatoes I'm growing as home, which are wonderful, started as a plant at Hanson's too. Hanson's also makes a presence at the Wayside Inn Farmer's Market on Saturdays, but I'd suggest skipping that and heading directly to Hanson's little shop.

Sarah C.

Yelp
This review is only for their farm stand. This little farmstand is right off the street and has plenty of parking. Everything they have is local - not necessarily their own but when it's not they mark the signs to let you know. I have had lots of veggies from them already this season and everything has been great - Tomatos, squash, zucchini, blueberries, corn, peppers and garlic. There prices are really great too - so much better for you and cheaper than buying at the grocery store.

Liz B.

Yelp
The farm stand itself should be five stars. People working there are friendly and they had some really beautiful produce that didn't cost too much. If you visit in the fall, the corn maze is not great - parents and two 12 year olds were out in 10 minutes, maybe less. It's probably fine for little kids, but to adults and older kids not so exciting. The hayride to the corn maze was rickety but fun. There's some Halloween themed displays like skeletons, a few grave sites and a hearse near the maze. The pumpkin patch is cute - it's not really pick your own pumpkin - it's more like "pick up a pumpkin that's already off the vine." Prices seemed pretty good at $0.59 a pound. I saw a sheep, chickens and a few horses. All in all I think it's a nice place but not great for older kids.

Deidred A.

Yelp
The hayride is so much fun. My favorite haunted hayride in the region. This is just a fun spooky place that's fun for all ages and very reasonably priced. They change the hayride and haunted house every year too - it's a must go.

K M.

Yelp
I've been taking my granddaughter to get a pumpkin here for the last 5 years and it's nice enough. I didn't mind paying a higher price due to the experience provided where they allow you to climb on tractors or pose for pictures around the area. This year they started to charge an admission fee of $10 per child and $15 per adult and still charge for the pumpkins. 2 adults + 2 children = $50 entrance fee to pick a pumpkin up off the ground plus $10-20 per pumpkin. I never knew I needed a 7 figure salary to pick pumpkins. If you're rich go for it. But, for me and my family, we'll go somewhere else next year. Too bad. I'd recommend going elsewhere.

Tracy B.

Yelp
Found Hanson's here on Yelp, was out having a Farm Friendly day and thought, "Hey, lets stop in Hansons"... We googled Haunted HayRide & I found out they had one.. So we stopped in one night to take the boys (2 3yr olds), and they were all excited, Talked to a nice man at the farm stand who gave us all the info about the Hayride & off we went for dinner with plans to come back.. 7:00 comes, we go back to get the hayride & seconds into the event our boys instantly wimped out, so we had to ask for a refund and they were nice & gave us our $ back. They have the cutest little pumpkin thing you could sit in to take pics, we also found out they do HayRides that are not Haunted & we might come back for that.. Loved the stand, they had tons of variety, tons of things. Nice people... Will def make several stops back at Hansons once the winter ends.

Chad D.

Yelp
Great idea, and was very excited but it is part farm and junkyard as they have trash and abandoned auto vehicles on the property, corn maize poorly kept with no sense of where you are supposed to go, and donuts cooked in old gross oil, could be great but minimal effort and upkeep given

John M.

Yelp
One of the worst hayrides I have ever witnessed. They should be ashamed to actually collect money for this one hour wait, five minute ride of boredom. So much potential. Such a waste of time. Either do it right or shut it down. In this case, stay away.

Lara M.

Yelp
The pumpkin picking looked good but the corn maze was a mess. We paid 12$ for the kids for nothing. There were no real ways and you could see trough the corn. Wasn't a real maze just a field with broken corn.

G G.

Yelp
This family-owned and run farm is a true hidden gem in Framingham. They have a large selection of produce and flowers grown right on the farm, and special events throughout the growing and harvesting season. I love walking around the grounds, visiting the pond, and seeing the horses out in the fields. They also have a few sheep, and chickens. It's a fabulous place to get back to nature and decompress, no matter what your age.

S C.

Yelp
Not coming back. I had high hopes for this place, since my parents visited with our small children, and had positive feedback. Our experience was pretty dismal. We started off by having some ice cream (it's right out front so it's the first thing kids see). There were two people in the truck but apparently only one was working. We waited about 15 minutes for our ice cream (there was one order ahead of us--two cups of ice cream, nothing fancy). People in line joked that perhaps they were still churning it. Anyway, then we proceeded inside the store. We paid $40 for two adults and one child (one child was free due to age). We were told this included 3 small pumpkins (one for each wristband), the corn maze, and a hay ride. OK, seemed a bit pricy, but whatever. The hay ride was ok. The corn maze was not very well maintained, but the kids thought it was fun (although they got through it in about 5 minutes). We got our pumpkins and walked back to the store. I decided to pick some flowers (50 cents a stem), and while I did manage to get a small bouquet together, I must say the flower area was not well maintained at all; it was full of weeds, and there wasn't a huge variety. But fine. Then, we went into the store to check out the veggies, etc. My husband decided to load the kids and pumpkins into the car while I paid for our flowers/veggies. As my family was leaving, this one female employee asked if they were with me and I said yes, we got three pumpkins as instructed. I asked if they needed to come back and check out or something. She said no, but that we were only supposed to get two pumpkins and we'd have to pay for the third. That's when I told her another employee had specifically said we were able to get three--one for each paying person. She just kept arguing with me--she didn't care that someone else had said told me otherwise, and she didn't care to check if perhaps she had been wrong. She just insisted I pay again. I was about to go to management, when, at the register, the first employee told her she was wrong. No apology or anything. I've never experienced anything like this...worst customer service ever. Don't come here unless you want to feel unwelcome. There are so many other places in the area to go for pumpkins, mazes, fresh veggies, flowers, etc. Their slogan should be, at Hanson's, the customer is always wrong!

Robin Y.

Yelp
My favorite farm in the area. Beautiful place, well-stocked and affordable farm store, warm atmosphere. Just stocked up on a bunch of colorful gourds and pumpkins for fall and corn picked that very morning, and took a bunch of pictures. Spend some time here next time you need produce or would just benefit from being on a farm for a little while.

George A.

Yelp
Less than impressed with their version of "pumpkin picking" what a shame... such a nice location but the service was horrible, please hire someone besides your kid sisters... they spent the entire time my family was asking questions braiding each others hair (really). the pumpkins are trucked in from lord knows where... i'm not even going to get into their version of a $6 hay ride... really, i mean really just dragging people around an open field... Its just sad because they have such potential at this location! The tractor drivers were nice and friendly and the view is awesome.

Gwen M.

Yelp
Can I give 0 stars? I called ahead to confirm the corn maze and sunflower maze were open. During that call they didn't bother to tell me the sunflowers were dead. I drove an hour and paid $60 for myself and three teens to walk through a very small corn maze and a patch of dead sunflowers. That hurts. I e-mailed them about how disappointed We were and didn't get a response. I've worked in customer service for 20 years and I never complain. Save your money. Next year I'm making the trek back to the place in NH we went to last time. Cheaper, bigger and so much better.

Keith C.

Yelp
This review is for their CSA. Their CSA gives loads of stuff every week, so much so that we're splitting it with a neighbor. Also, there's a fair bit of variety, and every week there seems to be a fair bit of spices, like cilantro, dill, or parsley, all of which tend to get pricey in the supermarket.

Andrew M.

Yelp
Unfortunately this place is awful! The 'staff' consists of rude, uneducated teens. I get that teens need to work, but these kids could not have been more bothered. The 'store' area is measly...limited selection and far too expensive. DRIVE BY this place and spend your money somewhere else!

Elena A.

Yelp
Went to Hanson's farm last weekend for strawberry picking and loved it! Had an amazing experience, it was a beautiful day and their strawberries are absolutely delicious! Prices are very reasonable too $2.50 entrance fee person and about $5 per quart for strawberries which were AMAZING. Will come back for sure!

Melissa B.

Yelp
I went the other day to "pick" pumpkins with my family, only to find already picked pumpkins in a plot of land. To say I was underwhelmed would be an understatement. The hay ride looked like a cage attached to a tractor that rode up and down a long grassy driveway and the few suckers on it looked embarrassed that we now knew they all paid money for that ride. This place as everyone and their mother mentioned, "has potential." However, it seems Noone from this place reads the yelp comments. Furthermore, to the person who wrote in that said they felt they needed to ask the summer staff if their mother was around, I feel ya! This summer I actually did that! The adult was helpful and that is why I came back. Although I have been here twice I have bought nothing from this farm. Bottom line, you can't half ass a farm, especially in an area where there are tons of farms and in New England.

Dee I.

Yelp
Took the family there for the Haunted house / hayride, it takes about 2 minutes to go through the haunted house if you take your time, mostly children trying to scare you, the hayride is OK, very rickety I wouldn't recommend it if you have a bad back, at $16 a pop I can't recommend it that's ridiculous , eight or ten bucks would be reasonable....

Caryn I.

Yelp
Hanson's is a charming farm. My kids 4 & 10 had a great time. They enjoyed the hayride, running through the corn maze, eating popsicles from the farm store and picking out pumpkins in their pumpkin patch, which are pre-picked pumpkins laid out in the fields. The hayride and corn maze were free. We didn't get to try the s'mores or the ice cream, but they looked good. The people working at Hanson's were very friendly. It's more low-key than a lot of the farm experiences in the area, which is just what we were looking for.

Danielle V.

Yelp
Took the whole fam to the haunted house and hayride. Loved it! It was so fun and worth the $16 ( adult) $14 (child).

Dan P.

Yelp
We got a half-share CSA this year from Hanson's Farm, and we will not do it again next year. The quality and selection of the produce is just not good. The highlights: Kale, lots of Kale. Cherry tomatoes (you need to pick these). Just about everything else is small (green peppers), misshapen (potatoes), tasteless (sweet corn), or (for us) undesirable (tomatillos, hot peppers). Next year, we'll pick and choose what we want from a good farm stand like Barbarian's in Northborough.

Leah L.

Yelp
I called ahead and asked whether they were doing pick-your-own blueberries today and they said yes, so I drove the half hour or so to get there only to be encouraged by young farmhands/clerks (who were more interested in hanging out with each other than helping customers) to pick raspberries instead. Worse than that, come to find out the blueberries weren't even ripe yet! The crop of raspberries was meager and most of the berries looked weird. I enjoyed the beauty of the farm, walking down to the pond, and looking at the animals, but I hated being misled over the phone when I called specifically to avoid a situation like this. I feel like I should have asked, "Can I talk to your mom?" after seeing who I likely spoke to on the phone. I walked out without picking any berries or buying anything from the farm store (which stocked neither raspberries nor blueberries, which should have been my first clue). My guess is that this young crew is summer staff and they need some training so they won't waste potential customers' time and create resentment. I might try it again, since it is the closest PYO to where I live, but boy, was I disappointed.
