Black-Owned Restaurants Directory - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"Hapeville Pizza pays homage to the historic Hapeville neighborhood with names like The Hapeville Hottie (with tender buffalo chicken). The thick-crust pies at the counter-service spot are reliable, especially for solo diners who can snag a personal-sized pizza for $9.50." - jacinta howard, juli horsford

Hapeville Pizza Co - Review - Hapeville - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"Tri-Cities is a bit of a pizza desert. Thankfully, Hapeville Pizza helps fill that void with thick-crust pies that pay homage to the historic neighborhood with names like The Hapeville Hottie (with tender buffalo chicken). And the pies at the counter-service spot are reliable, especially for solo diners who can snag a personal-sized pizza for $9.50. We like the veggie and the lemon pepper chicken pizza, which comes with big chunks of chicken spiced with lemon pepper. And the wings are also a worthy order. Just note: they're baked, not Atlanta-standard fried, but they’re seasoned to the bone and get a pass. Food Rundown The Depot - Veggie Pizza A great order if you want to load up on your vegetables. It comes with big pieces of mushrooms, black olives, onions, and spinach, and tomatoes that don’t overwhelm the cheese and sauce, and the crust is thick enough to support it all. video credit: Tabia S. Lisenbee-Parker The Lemon Pepper Chicken Pizza The pizza comes with chunks of zesty baked chicken and savory red sauce. With the thick-crust dough, this a great, filling choice. video credit: Tabia S. Lisenbee-Parker Wings The wings are baked (which you’ll be told in all caps when you place an online order), but they're well-seasoned, with flavor that seeps into the meat." - Jacinta Howard

Honestly, I have not had a lot of Atlanta Pizza, I was there traveling and needed some dinner, after going here I’m not eating Pizza anywhere else! When I’m in Atlanta. The Hapevillle Pizza Company is the place to be! The crust is next level! It’s an original recipe made fresh everyday, and you can tell with every bite. The crust was so good, I almost bit my fingers! It’s a great cheese to sauce ratio. My first bite/ slice was a little messy but that’s only because I couldn’t / didn’t wait and ate it right out of the oven. I was with a group of 7. We ordered 3 large pizzas and we ate there. At first it seemed like too much food but there were no slices left! I would suggest eating there only if you have a small order like the personal pizza or an order of wings, It’s not a full dinning room. The Lemon Cake… Fire! It was so good. A little birdie told me it was her grandmothers recipe, again made from scratch every day. It was so good. Moist, a little crunch on the exterior, flavorful. I should have ordered another slice to-go. The brownies were also very good! We didn’t order the baked wings but a lot of people were ordering them while we waited. She checks the internal temperature to make sure that they are fully ready before sending out the food. The owner and workers there are very thorough, kind, and personable. There is so much love put into their pizza! This is officially my favorite pizza place in Atlanta! When I return, I know exactly where I’m going to get food!

Had a great experience, the pizza was delicious and the service was awesome! I had The Depot, their vegetarian option, and it was packed with flavor. I also love that you can mix it up and customize your own pizza if you’d like. It’s always a win to support another locally owned business in Hapeville. Definitely a spot I’ll be returning to!

I've been trying to get to this place for a while now based on seeing the advertisements on IG. Parking was stressful, customer service was nothing to write home about. They were not rude or anything like that but they just lacked enthusiasm. I ordered the most popular dish: The Lemon Pepper Chicken pizza. A large for $26. It was good but hard to enjoy because the sauce saturated the dough making it a soggy and messy situation. The onions were a bit undercooked. The crust was a bit burnt but too soft at the same time. That's weird, huh? It's ok for the sake of trying something new but for $26 and 50 napkins later, I don't have to go back.

I enjoyed my experience. I enjoyed the food. The lemon pepper chicken pizza is what brought me here because I've never heard of it. It was really good all the way to the crust. I ordered hot honey and garlic Parmesan wings. With a lemon pound cake and brownie. Food is good and they're the highest rated pizza spot in the area. Service is primarily takeout as space is limited but I had a insightful conversation with the owners son about the business it's history and the inspiration behind the pizza I came to order. It does have its own personality. The area is good and the staff greets you as soon as you come in. There's a counter to eat at but the vibe is suited more for takeout. And the parking reflects that. So it's not the ppl just the location is the only reason I gave it 3 stars

OMG!! This pizza is incredible! I’m a pizza lover from Philly/New York so I love great pizza. It looked great on the IG , but the real deal is AMAZING!! They had been bought out of most of the sizes but I was able to get a personal lemon pepper pizza and half way through I was full. The crust , the sauce, the lemony chicken, the cheese and the celery-garlic-onion OMG! I’m coming back! One hour drive but they’re on radar now !! Thank you for the great service as well!

This was the best pizza in Atlanta. Mrs. Joy makes the dough from scratch and I felt like I was sitting in her kitchen eating a meal. I had the lemon pepper chicken and added spinach and my husband had the depot with sausage it was absolutely delicious

I don’t usually post reviews but I searched Google for some of the best pizza around me. Sad to say when we retrieved our order we were disappointed. We had ordered a cheese pizza with pepperoni on the right hand side. We also ordered mild wings and a Cesar salad. Well when the time came we came to eat our meal I came to find that it was no pepperoni’s on the pizza. I not only received the wrong salad but it was frozen and wilted. I called the store and asked to speak to a manager. When the manager answered I told him what was going on and that I believed we received the wrong pizza. By this time everyone in the house got at least one piece of pizza which was more than half and it was no pepperonis to be found. He insisted that the pepperonis were underneath the cheese. They were not. In telling him about the salad I told him it was froze and the wrong salad and he says I just gave you a house salad because we were out of Caesar salad (although he never gave us this update when picking up the food). The pizza tasted burnt and the wings were okay. I received a refund for the salad. But for spending over $40 and driving so far I was really disappointed. I was a first time customer and unfortunately will not be back.
