The 'Wellness Capital of Texas' Was Just Named America’s Best Small Spa and Wellness Town

"A '50s-style diner with checkered tabletops and old records on the wall, Happy Days Diner nails classic breakfast plates piled with biscuits and gravy and pancake stacks while also offering healthier options like a fruit and yogurt bowl; it serves lunch favorites such as hamburger steak, Frito pie, hot dogs, and wraps, and you can grab old-time candies on your way out." - Amanda Ogle Amanda Ogle Amanda Ogle is a writer and editor who specializes in travel, food and drink, sustainability, and general lifestyle topics. The Best Restaurants and Bars in Mineral Wells | Eater Dallas

Phenominal hidden gem in Auburn. Staff was very friendly and the food was delicious at a very reasonable price. Went there twice on my short visit to Maine, and will definitely be back next time I'm in the area!

Just went in a breakfast there. It's a great little spot. Although I would have picked somewhere different to sit. One of the employees had there children there while they worked and they continuously jumping around screaming and yelling. Slamming into the back of the seat where we were sitting, Definitely not a place to eat breakfast if you have a headache. Other than that , it was actually a pretty good place

Went on a weekday, so no wait. The true test of a breakfast hole in the wall (for me) is the steak and eggs and they nailed it. Cooked exactly to order. The coffee is still fresh at noon and servers are pleasant. Will be back!

Got the SOS, really good stuff! I love supporting smaller restaurants in the Lewiston/Auburn area, and Happy Day's has good food, good staff, and a good atmosphere.

I heard about this place being good, but was rather disappointed when coming here as it was alright The service was friendly and nice which I enjoyed However the atmosphere wasn’t there and felt kinda like hodgepodge of different stuff And the food was very underwhelming, I know it’s a diner but still the biscuits and gravy had no taste and bread wasn’t the best choice and the fries are more akin to something you would get for lunch or dinner And the monte cristo was very underwhelming, it felt more like a breakfast sandwich than an actual monte cristo. Of course depending were you go it can change in appearance, but this wasn’t it unfortunately. I would keep the French toast add more cheese and meat(depending on you get) and use either a beer batter or a traditional egg batter and deep fry it and serve it with a maple blackberry jam A good place to go with family but wouldn’t recommend if you want good breakfast

The food was ok. The outside of the building looks kinda run down and on the inside the walls are a vibrant puce green. It kind of looks like a leprechaun was murdered on the walls. We both ordered steaks, they only had one, so they lost a star. The one steak was amazingly cooked. We ordered a waffle and it tasted like crushed cereal was formed into a super soft waffle. It was entirely too sweet. Not my favorite thing in the world. I still have them three stars because the waitress was nice and the tables and floors were clean.

Not really a themed diner. They just have stuff from TJ Maxx on the wall. The place was hot, which the server kept mentioning to everyone. It is definitely a family run place because it also was their day care. Food was bland, sausage patties gross. Also they deliver a side of politics. No thanks, not a welcoming atmosphere.

I love this place! Their food is always really good and they never disappoint. The staff are always super nice and welcoming. My significant other have been here so many times and will continue to return.
