Our server was really sweet, so let me just get that out of the way first. The service here was fairly slow overall, but we weren't in a hurry. However, being next door to neighboring famed Rolly's diner, Happy Days is sure to get a harsher critique than if it wasn't in the same location. When we were there, it was packed, but this might be because over the 4th of July weekend, Rolly's was closed - I'm not sure. I've also heard a bunch of people say they go here when they can't get a seat at Rolly's.
Food here was ehhh. I ordered the hash, eggs, toast, homefries, coffee breakfast - and it was just okay. The homefries totally lacked, and the hash was on top of them, making it look like there was secretly far more hash than there actually was - nice tactic, guys, I totally appreciated the extra bland home fries. The eggs were fine, I got them over easy, and the raisin toast was good, too. The coffee was also your standard diner coffee. I wasn't bowled over, I would even go as far to say that I was mildly underwhelmed.
If you can get to Rolly's, hurry next door. I don't know that I'd recommend this place, but I didn't hate it. Definitely pick it over Denny's, but like I said... get thee to Rolly's, where you can order some real crepes (my mom got crepes at Happy Days and they were so cold the butter didn't even melt), creton, and generous amounts of hash.
