Me and my father went and got breakfast for the first time in Friday. The Food was good. Service took alittle bit, although we were greeted quickly when walking in, and told to seat ourselves, it took a bit for our server to bring us menus. Which was a small size, so my father couldn't read it. There were a decent amount of options to choose from. Pricing was reasonable.

The food was good, the service and atmosphere were fantastic. Very friendly place.

Food was pretty ok. The diner itself could use an update, it needs help. It doesn't seem very clean. The staff were nice but I wish they had a uniform or a dress code. Its not cute having your servers with half shirts and pants hanging below waist. Was not a fan.

Google
Phenominal hidden gem in Auburn. Staff was very friendly and the food was delicious at a very reasonable price. Went there twice on my short visit to Maine, and will definitely be back next time I'm in the area!

I heard about this place being good, but was rather disappointed when coming here as it was alright The service was friendly and nice which I enjoyed However the atmosphere wasn’t there and felt kinda like hodgepodge of different stuff And the food was very underwhelming, I know it’s a diner but still the biscuits and gravy had no taste and bread wasn’t the best choice and the fries are more akin to something you would get for lunch or dinner And the monte cristo was very underwhelming, it felt more like a breakfast sandwich than an actual monte cristo. Of course depending were you go it can change in appearance, but this wasn’t it unfortunately. I would keep the French toast add more cheese and meat(depending on you get) and use either a beer batter or a traditional egg batter and deep fry it and serve it with a maple blackberry jam A good place to go with family but wouldn’t recommend if you want good breakfast

The food was ok. The outside of the building looks kinda run down and on the inside the walls are a vibrant puce green. It kind of looks like a leprechaun was murdered on the walls. We both ordered steaks, they only had one, so they lost a star. The one steak was amazingly cooked. We ordered a waffle and it tasted like crushed cereal was formed into a super soft waffle. It was entirely too sweet. Not my favorite thing in the world. I still have them three stars because the waitress was nice and the tables and floors were clean.

Google
Not really a themed diner. They just have stuff from TJ Maxx on the wall. The place was hot, which the server kept mentioning to everyone. It is definitely a family run place because it also was their day care. Food was bland, sausage patties gross. Also they deliver a side of politics. No thanks, not a welcoming atmosphere.

Google
Got the SOS, really good stuff! I love supporting smaller restaurants in the Lewiston/Auburn area, and Happy Day's has good food, good staff, and a good atmosphere.

Yelp
I go to this diner biweekly, and I have to say that they have the best eggs Benedict I've ever had. I highly recommend this place. The staff is very friendly. They know my daughter's order as well. They are the best diner in southern Maine

Yelp
Happy Days is our favorite breakfast spot. I love the staff and the food. They have recently updated the place. I wonder why anyone would go next door to Rolly's. We won't touch the place. Their food is bland, and there are not even good portions at Rolly's!

Yelp
I really wish I could give this place 5 stars. The staff is really kinda and took great care of me and my family. The food was excellent, I had a meat lovers omelette. The only issue was the dirty fork that they gave me and I found a tiny little eyelash hair in my food. Other than that it was super dope!

Yelp
Goofy little diner! Really incredible customer service-everyone was super friendly and made eating here very enjoyable. Jess was our waitress and was AWESOME! I got the western omelette with hash browns and sourdough toast. The only reason I'm giving this four stars instead of five is that the hash browns were a bit soggy. Other than that, I would recommend!

Yelp
Yikes, this is a tough one. I was in the area and looking for takeout breakfast sandwiches. When I walked in, I was struck by just how much this place needed a new coat of paint and some window cleaning, and thought to walk out... but the diner across the street had a line outside the door, and the waitstaff here was super friendly... so I placed an order to go and waited outside for my food. Breakfast sandwiches were fine, and the staff seems super nice, but this space, the walls, the seating area and the kitchen floor need a serious scrubbing.

Yelp
Food was pretty ok till the cook came out of kitchen! Disgusting I've never seen a cook so filthy as he stood there sketched out like he was on something wiping his hands all over his behind which was black cause apparently they don't have a sink!!!

Yelp
Love the food here, I grew up in a small town and when I say small I'm talking 1100 people if you count the surrounding farms and this place made me feel like I was at home at my local small town restaurant. The people are friendly and the service is great. The food portions make sure you don't leave hungry either! Love this place.

Yelp
Not fancy, but excellent breakfast. Veggie omelette was perfect. Fresh veggies. Really good bread.

Yelp
Nice people and the meal has always been very satisfying. Steak and eggs is particularly good.

Yelp
Great food, friendly staff, wonderfully reasonable prices. If only it were not 3,000 miles from home. Jessica rocks as a waitress!

Yelp
The lack of tv, or the constant signal loss on the tv is annoying!!! Food still good,... seriously though if you can't spring for a real cable connection it's time to rethink the budget!!! Staff is pleasant, and keeps busy!

Yelp
Great food and excellent service from Jessica - went back there for another meal before leaving town

Yelp
Our server was really sweet, so let me just get that out of the way first. The service here was fairly slow overall, but we weren't in a hurry. However, being next door to neighboring famed Rolly's diner, Happy Days is sure to get a harsher critique than if it wasn't in the same location. When we were there, it was packed, but this might be because over the 4th of July weekend, Rolly's was closed - I'm not sure. I've also heard a bunch of people say they go here when they can't get a seat at Rolly's. Food here was ehhh. I ordered the hash, eggs, toast, homefries, coffee breakfast - and it was just okay. The homefries totally lacked, and the hash was on top of them, making it look like there was secretly far more hash than there actually was - nice tactic, guys, I totally appreciated the extra bland home fries. The eggs were fine, I got them over easy, and the raisin toast was good, too. The coffee was also your standard diner coffee. I wasn't bowled over, I would even go as far to say that I was mildly underwhelmed. If you can get to Rolly's, hurry next door. I don't know that I'd recommend this place, but I didn't hate it. Definitely pick it over Denny's, but like I said... get thee to Rolly's, where you can order some real crepes (my mom got crepes at Happy Days and they were so cold the butter didn't even melt), creton, and generous amounts of hash.

Yelp
Diner food the way it should be-about getting in, eating your every day kind of breakfast n heading out.

Yelp
This wasnt too bad of a place to eat. menu was smaller, prices are ok on some (some were a little steep). Service was Ok. A little slow though they were a bit busy with 1 waitress. Although I have had better, this still wasnt that bad of a place to stop by.

Yelp
A true "hole in the wall diner"... not for the health conscious or picky eater. They have a humble menu, the server was friendly and food didn't take too long. They got the orders right. A simple place to eat if you aren't counting calories or looking for a fancy experience

Yelp
Food was okay. Service was okay. Prices were really high. .. $10 plus a tip for coffee, eggs, hash and toast with margarine. .. wouldn't go back.

Kirsten L.

Yelp
I have been here about 4 times and the food was always pretty good for the price, better than Denny's which really isn't saying much but they are on par for filth. The place is rather dirty and could use a good scrubbing. That being said I won't be back after this last visit. I brought a friend and there was short wait, two ladies walked in and stood in front of us and were talking to a very tiny blonde who worked there and they obviously knew each other quite well. We got our table shortly after and the two ladies who knew our soon to be waiter, sat at the counter. The waiter cleaned off our table, gave us our set of silver/placemat and coffee and then forgot about us for about 10 minutes, chatting the whole time with her friends. We did ask for a few extra minutes to decide on the food and that took another 10 minutes for her to notice we were ready to order. At this point it was not that busy. She finally took our order and walked away, we still didn't have our water and I was out of coffee. We finally waved her over after about 5 minutes to which she snapped 'yeah, I'm getting it right now'...and continued to chat with her friends for another couple minutes. She finally brought the waters (gave the people near us theirs first though they came in after us) and I said "I really would just like some more coffee" and she again snapped back "well you go your waters, didn't you?" brought us more coffee and then we waited another 20 minutes for our food. The wait on the food is pretty normal for them except for the fact that our server's friends got their meals ahead of us. What makes you think it is OK to snap at paying customers and act like they are inconveniencing you by asking for water and more coffee, then top it off by making sure your friends get their meals ahead of everyone else? Really crappy way to treat customers. I had the feeling on one other occasion that if they don't know you or you aren't a friend/family they could care less. Proven this time. Won't be back, ever. I'm sorry I gave her a tip but my friend insisted.

Yelp
Went there for the first time today because Rolly's was closed. Overall we were very pleased. They were caught short staffed because of Rolly's, but the crew seemed to all pitch in and the service was very good. The food was excellent, our server was very nice. We'll go back, want to try their lunch also.

Yelp
Horrible service; eggs weren't cooked and my girlfriend and I are convinced the omelet wasn't made from real eggs. Wont be going there again.

Richard J.

Yelp
Seeing others ratings of this establishment is infuriating. One actually said their prices are too high when this is the cheapest joint in town. Quick service, great food, and very kid friendly. Y'all a bunch of pretentious wannabees. Best breakfast joint in town hands down.
