The LA (Takeout) Dinner & A Movie Guide - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Movie Pairing:The Last Black Man in San Francisco (Prime) “There are so many reasons to love The Last Black Man in San Francisco - the incredible cinematography, the ways it weaves in complex issues like gentrification and displacement without being heavy-handed, Danny Glover. Plus, it’s a two-hour love-letter to the San Francisco I know and love. One of my favorite memories from when I lived there was when I’d walk to Irving St. with my boyfriend at the time, and we’d order all the char siu, bao, and duck we could carry, then pick it all apart with our hands while watching French bulldogs celebrate their birthday in Golden Gate Park (this absolutely a real anecdote). And while we can’t do that anymore, you can still order whole Peking ducks from Lu Din Gee, a Taiwanese restaurant in Monterey Park that specializes in Beijing-style birds, inexplicably. Call (626) 284-3227 to set up a delivery or takeout.” - KH" - brant cox, kat hong, brett keating, james montgomery

The 6 Best Restaurants For Peking Duck In LA - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"When ordering peking duck at Duck House, the menu is broken into three tiers: For $79, you get a whole roasted duck with a traditional spread. For $91, you get the duck “two ways”: the traditional spread and one other duck dish of your choice (bean sprouts, soup, or a deep-fried duck bone.) The third tier, at $103, comes with the traditional spread and two duck dishes. There’s a lot to parse, so we’ll keep it simple. Get the second tier and order the bean sprouts as your extra dish. They’re warm, savory, and the perfect complement to the rich duck." - brant cox, sylvio martins, nikko duren

Google
Fantastic 10-course Peking Duck banquet for 10 people at an unbeatable price of $288.95! The duck was expertly prepared across three dishes, with the wrap being a standout (we requested extra wraps). Other highlights included the shrimp, eel & sticky rice, and fillet mignon. However, the real showstoppers were the giant steamed fish and dessert soup with rice balls, which stole the show with the group. Service and ambiance were on par with a traditional Chinese restaurant. A reservation is a must, and 8-10 people is the ideal group size to take advantage of these banquets. Worth noting: they seem to have set seating times to ensure perfectly roasted ducks. We'll definitely be back – the drive may be over an hour, but it's worth it for this incredible food experience.

Google
I have wanted to try this restaurant for a long time, as there are many positive reviews about it Ordered their $288 set dinner and 2 veggies. The duck tastes good, and the duck skin itself is very crispy. The steamed black cod is not that tender, and the eel over steam rice is a disappointment, as the rice is too sticky/soggy in my opinion. Service is efficient. 10% discount if you pay the tab in cash. Better make a reservation before you go. Glad to check this place out.

Google
Five stars for the Peking duck! We had a large group reservation which required preorders on the chicken soup and three orders of the roasted duck. Ordered a few more entrees and enjoyed all of them. The steamed cod fish was also delicious! Venue is nothing fancy but service was good and the duck has consistently been the best in town. The group seated near us was a Korean family celebrating a birthday, we had fun singing along when the cake with candles were presented.

Google
I'm not a huge fan of Peking duck, but this place did the duck very well! The flavor wasn't overwhelming and it wasn't fatty. The other dishes we ordered were also very good. I would say the fish didn't have much flavor though and probably wouldn't order it again. For a Chinese restaurant the waiter was super attentive. Was very pleased by the service here. Would definitely come again.

Jeff C.

Google
The lady that served us was really nice. She is very attentive and suggested us a few dishes according to our preference, since some of us do not eat spicy. I was impressed by all the dishes we ordered. The lobster was so good, I was not expecting the lobster to be a popular dish since it is a Peking duck house. The eel stick rice was amazing too. I will definitely be back to try their other dishes.

Maurice N.

Google
I have to say… this is the best Peking duck I have ever had. The crispy skin melts in your mouth! The wraps are paper thin and tasty. We had soup and a sprouts dish also. The flavors were rich and delicious. Peking duck is a little pricey, but it’s a great experience. You should make a reservation… they get busy!

Winnie H.

Google
SoooOoo delicious! Be sure to call the restaurant at least an hour ahead to make sure they have Peking duck available. Their classic lobster tastes so divine- there were noodle underneath the lobster seasoned with sesame oil. SO YUMMMM! The lobster was huge (5-6 lbs) and only $150, very reasonable considered its quality and quantity.

Google
Hard to get authentic Beijing Roast Duck outside of Asia… but this is probably the best I’ve had stateside. *pro tip call and make a reservation whether it’s for lunch or dinner just call. We usually get the duck two ways - roasted and then sautéed with bean sprouts (occasionally switch it up to soup) Get the steamed cod. It’s amazing. Super fresh and such a great fish steamed. (The sweet sour Squirrel fish is good too just deep fried and pretty heavy for my tastes) Depending on the party size there might also be a lobster… house special or ginger scallion (do preorder this when you book your table) And of course if there’s room… the eel on glutinous rice. The lady owner is sweet, gorgeous and so well-mannered. This is a family run restaurant so they do get overwhelmed when all the tables are full.

Yelp
As others mentioned, call ahead for reservations to make sure they have duck available. Even for weekday lunch. But oh the duck is so good! Such crispy skin and tender meat! We also had beancurd with pork and celery which was savory and delicious. The house fried rice with chicken, shrimp and beef was also cooked to perfection. You obviously come for the duck but the other food was good too. Place is small so again, call ahead. But it was clean and service was quick. Bathroom was also clean. Happy duck made us happy customers.

Yelp
Note: You gotta make reservations at least 2 days in advance if you want to order the duck dishes One of the most authentic and delicious duck dishes I've had in a very long time in SoCal. Besides getting the duck combo, I recommend getting the beef with onions. Perfect soft and chewy texture with tons of flavor! Service here was great and fast. We went here for my dad's birthday and looking forward to visiting the next time :D

Yelp
The duck combo for four It all came in big portion presented well. Peking Roasted Duck, (3 dishes - duck wraps, Stir Fried Bean Sprouts with Duck Meat and Duck Bone Soup.) Fillet Mignon Cubs with Blac Pepper Sauce, Appetizer Combo Plutter and Sautéed Shrimp These were all reasonably average food, but considering I came here for Duck, yet found the flavoring of Peking Duck was lack of its unique originality. It more or less from a short cut recipe.

Yelp
Wow, amazing 10-course Peking Duck banquet for 10 people for only $288.95! Our organizer ordered 2 more vegetarian dishes just in case, which was nice but totally unnecessary. I loved the duck over 3 dishes (wrap was the best, we got extra wraps, soup and stirred fried were ok), shrimp was great, eel & sticky rice was amazing, and the fillet mignon was delicious. But the overwhelming favorite for the group were the giant steamed fish and the dessert soup with rice balls. Service and ambiance are fine for a typical traditional Chinese restaurant. Tips: Reservation is definitely required, I think they have set seating times to make sure roast ducks come out perfectly. 8-10 people is recommended so you can get these banquets and enjoy a variety of delicious and slightly exotic dishes. Man, it's over an hour drive for us, but we are definitely coming back with another group of 8-10 people.

Yelp
Had the duck 2 way here, wraps and soup! It was amazing! We only had 3 ppl so that was a lot of food, on top of that we had the fillet mignon cubes and stir fried pork with bamboo shoots. All of which were really good. The fillet mignon cubes were tender and flavorful. The stir fried pork was done well and texturally nice with the bamboo shoots for a good crunch. Bonus for having only 3 people was that i got to have multiple rou ds pf the duck soup which really enhanced the experience. I like a sip of the soup with a bite of the duck wrap. Goes well like that!

Yelp
I remember it was way better in 2021. All the dishes lacked garlic and savory flavors of Chinese cooking. The cubed beef was the only dish done right. The Eel rice was not super soft and it lacked dried shrimp and the slight sweetness of lap cheong. Overall it was ok, not great. Many would say their Peking duck is great but I don't care for Peking duck so I am the wrong person you ask.

Yelp
It was order days prior of the Thanksgiving. I actually got their 4 hours earlier than scheduled pick up time. They accommodated and allowed me to pick up the food earlier. The staff was friendly and I had no issue. This was my first visit and I had no prior dine-in experience, so I will follow up with another review. The duck was slightly on the dry side. Nonetheless, it was still delicious. For this particular experience. It gets a 4.0 out of 5.

Yelp
Best Peking duck in my part of town! Must call and order ahead ! (It helps if you speak Chinese.) Our friends invited us and she made the reservation. When you call to book a reservation , that's when you preorder a duck. Same preorder process if you want a lobster. (Usually 4 lbs and up, price fluctuates with market price) Duck is served with julienned green onion and cucumbers along with house style hoisen sauce and thin crepes . The Crispy skin and duck meat are sliced for easy assembly. I like to get a single crepe and drop some sauce on it . Then load it with slivers of green onion & cucumber , some duck meat and two duck skins . Wrap into a roll and ENJOY! Mmmmmm good ! Our Lobster tonight was 4 1/2 lbs . Made with ginger and green onions . It is served on a bed of oyster sautéed noodles. If you are a lobster fan , you'll really enjoy this. We also got Mapo tofu ( mild ) but was still kinda spicy. Tasty but spicy . Broccoli beef was fairly standard but, the beef was super tender . Tried the Xiao long bao ( juicy dumplings) here too! We thought they tasted better than the popular franchise ( DTF). The sauce is a vinaigrette with soy sauce and ginger. Service was great . Although we don't speak Chinese , our server was kind and polite. Luckily, our friends did most of the talking . We also enjoyed fermented rice egg soup with mini black sesame balls for dessert. A perfect ending to a wonderful dinner .

Yelp
Great for a family dinner but remember to make reservations. We celebrated my daughter's bday at Happy Duck House. Party of 6. The restaurant is located in the same plaza as FedEx and a bunch of other restaurants, so finding a parking spot could take awhile. At the time of reservation I was offered a 5:30pm or 7:30pm slot and asked if I wanted "combo set or separate order." I responded with "combo" as I wasn't sure what "separate" entailed. I received a photo of the "Combo" section of their menu by text from the lady I made the reservation with (see photo). I later asked my sister in law to call the restaurant to inquire if we needed to commit to a choice (she speaks Mandarin) as I prefer we select other dishes while we are dining. She explained to me that if we let Happy Duck know ahead of time we wanted a combo, they would have a better idea of how many to prepare for. Alternatively we can order combo or separate (a la carte) once seated as well. We arrived at the restaurant for our 5:30pm reservation. The place was already busy. We ordered our Peking duck (3 dishes), spicy beef, noodles, steamed fish and fried rice. The Peking duck was excellent, on par with Ji Rong without the long drive. All other dishes were generously portioned and delicious. We all decided we'd definitely return for the Peking duck!

Yelp
Very very limited seating inside restaurant. You can call to make a reservation before arriving, otherwise if they are at full capacity you may not be able to dine in when you arrive. I don't recommend coming on a hot day, it's really stuffy inside. Their AC is on but isn't strong. We did the combo set for 4-5 people. Felt like plenty of food for 5 people, 6 dishes total. Included 3 Peaking Roasted Duck dishes which were Duck Wraps, Stir Fried Bean Sprout w/ Duck Meat and Duck Bone Soup. Along with Appetizer Combo Platter, Fillet Mignon Cube w/ Black Pepper Sauce and Sautéed Shrimp. Duck Wraps- came with traditional Chinese crepe (jian bing) to wrap your duck skin and meat in. Don't forget to spread hoisin sauce on your crepe first before adding everything; green onion, cucumbers, duck skin& meat. Sooo good, doesn't feel to heavy at all compared to when it's served with buns. Appetizer Combo Platter was refreshing. It had cold cut chicken and duck with celery sticks and wood ear fungus. Eel Rice Cake- was so good, sticky rice was just right and so flavorful. Eel was tender and fatty.

Yelp
My favorite Peking roasted duck restaurant! Definitely deserve a 5 star! Every dish is good from this restaurant and you just can't miss. The staff working there are very helpful and nice. My family go there a lot.
google avatar

Yelp
Peking duck has crispy skin and served with thin crepe style wrappers. So good. Roasted Eel (unagi) over steamed sticky rice. So tasty. Stir fried beef with tomato. So much flavor. Friendly service. Not a huge dining area but it doesn't feel cramped. Casual spot with great food.
google avatar

Richard M.

Yelp
I specifically went to happy duck house for Peking duck. The picking duck was moist, but the skin was fatty and cold. The presentation was OK, but it seemed like the Peking duck had been made much earlier. We ordered string beans, steamed black cod, bean sprouts with duck meat, and duck bone soup. Everything was tasty, just not great. The service was good and the ownership was friendly.
google avatar

Yelp
We were craving peking duck, so I googled and found Happy Duck as the closest to my house. Free parking inside a plaza, and it can be difficult to find a spot. This medium-sized restaurant was packed full of people on a Friday afternoon. I suggest you call first and make sure they have seating as well as peking duck availability. We ordered a roasted peking duck to-go, and it took about 30 minutes. I have to say it was worth the wait! I didn't know what to expect and thought that it would come as chopped with bones in it. I was delighted to see that the duck meat and skin were sliced already! The meat was juicy and tender, clean tasting, and the skin was crispy and fatty. It came with thin wraps instead of the usual bun, which I like better. It also came with sliced green onions and housing sauce. I had peking ducks before and this, by far, is my favorite! The quality and freshness are unmatched, and I couldn't stop eating it. It's on the pricey side and we spent about $76 including tax. Yup, I will be back to try their other food selections. Highly recommended!
google avatar

Kaiyun S.

Yelp
If you want to go to a delicious, yet authentic Beijing style duck restaurant, Happy Duck House is the place to go! The duck skin is crispy and the meat is very delicious. The waiter is very kind, but doesn't speak very much English. However, that's how you'll know the food is authentic and goooood! It's not super high cholesterol or oil. Happy Duck House has a much higher quality than all the other duck restaurants in the area, definitely worth a try!
google avatar

Connie S.

Yelp
I recommend making reservations. I went at 11:30 and they told me they had 1 table that was available for me since I didn't have reservations. Luckily, didn't have to pre-order Peking duck so was able to get one.
google avatar

Rachel T.

Yelp
Came by for some dinner with family, and was able to make a reservation since somebody else canceled. Of course we ordered the Peking roast duck, eel sticky rice, vegetables, spare ribs, and duck soup. The food came out pretty quick and the food was really tasty. They have groups come in different groups so booking a reservation is tough unless it's a weekday or off hours. There's plenty of parking out front which is nice. Service was good, they also speak Chinese. Ambiance seems a bit older, but the food is pretty good. The veggies were a bit too oily though so just something to note.
google avatar

Lu C.

Yelp
Love the duck here!!! One of the best Beijing duck I've eaten in LA. It's not oily and the duck meat is tender. Their sauce is also a perfect balance (not too salty or too much oyster taste). Afterward we had the duck meat fried bean sprouts and duck soup. Highly recommend it! Please make a reservation before you go as they get busy on the weekend and Beijing duck requires reservation of a day in advance.
google avatar

Diana F.

Yelp
Peking duck is really good with crispy skin and thin wraps. But duck soup was too greasy. Friendly staffs! It's a small place so you might wait little bit.
google avatar

Evie J.

Yelp
We came here as a party of six and had a really nice experience! It's a cozy little place with a welcoming atmosphere and very friendly staff. We ordered the duck, a tofu dish, and a lobster dish -- everything was tasty and well-prepared. The portions were a bit on the smaller side, especially since we were sharing, but overall we really enjoyed the food and the experience. Would definitely come back!
google avatar

Kimberly C.

Yelp
Felt rushed by the waiter when deciding what to try on the menu, but the food was sooo delicious!! Must have is the Peking duck and the duck bone soup combo, a bit pricey but so good!! Will definitely be back
google avatar

Melinda C.

Yelp
We reserved 3 large tables for my great-aunt's 86th birthday and they were able to accommodate us. Peking duck, house special lobster, eel rice, and filet mignon from the pre-fixed menu were all incredibly flavorful. It was nice to eat quality Chinese food after not having it for so long! Food came out quickly and nothing was overly greasy. Great for large groups. Plenty of parking in the front lot.
google avatar

Cindy C.

Yelp
Good service and yummy food. We ordered the family meal for $138. Came with Peking duck, cold platter, bean sprouts, French style beef, soup, and shrimp. Food was quite delicious and the pace of food coming out was pretty consistent but not sure why the last dish (shrimp) took a long time. Unfortunately, it took so long our other dishes for cold and we became too full to care. We ended up packing it to go. They then explained to us that one of the chef was out and they were really behind. If they were to tell us ahead of times and prepare sooner, I think it would've been different.
google avatar

Wendy L.

Yelp
Wonderful on a to-go duck! Birthday celebration for the hubby, we ate til our hearts' content!
google avatar

Maggie C.

Yelp
We like this place but it's IMPOSSIBLE to eat here unless you've had a week long reservation. Don't even bother trying in January/February! (Lunar New Year time) their Pecking duck is really good but I can't even remember what else we got there. The servers aren't really the friendliest but their business is always booming so it doesn't seem to matter. Small place that looks a little shabby but if you can get a reservation make sure you order the duck in advanced. (You won't get any if you order there)
google avatar

Todd R.

Yelp
I was there for a family dinner and the duck was great. Skin really good. Also some of the beef dishes. There was some Halibut? I think. Not the greatest fan of halibut but that's fine it was eaten up. Little crowded in the restaurant and once they book the tables, that's it. You are waiting or coming back for another day. Overall really good yet pricey.
google avatar

Lily V.

Yelp
You have to make reservations if you plan to have the Peking duck. Also there isn't many tables or seating so you may need to call ahead for a reservation just in case! It's a very small place but food is definitely worth it. They offer set combo options in which certain dishes will be served. My aunt and uncle love and recommend this place all the time for individuals who love Peking roasted duck. They are in a very high price range, dinners can cost 500-600$ with tip if you plan to order more dishes not on the set combo list. We usually get the 10-12 person combo. Everything was good, especially the lobster which is very slightly spicy but the noodles are delicious with the seasoning. The duck is the best I've had, skin crispy and fatty, meat not gamy, and the cucumbers/onion and sauce don't cost extra if you want more. Fish was ok, very tender and soft but lots of bones, I think I prefer sweet and sour one more. Eel was very good, although it had bones they were soft enough to chew. The sticky rice is savory and with mushrooms (which I usually don't like because it's the kind that smells) but in this dish it's very good and I ate a lot of it! Soup was good, I don't like ginseng but it's not too medicinal and the chicken meat fell off the bone! There's a whole chicken in the soup...
google avatar

S C.

Yelp
The food is authentic, the service is friendly and the place is clean. We were there for friends gathering and the places served the purpose perfectly. Their set course meal package is quite reasonable and enjoyable. Definitely would recommend and would return if in the area
google avatar

Yelp
Someone from work recommended this place and raved about the peking duck so of course I had to check it out Here's what we ordered: - Peking Roasted Duck 3 dishes (wraps, stir fried bean sprouts with duck meat, duck bone soup): They separate the skin and the meat, which I haven't seen at a lot of places. The skin was crazy crispy. They give you plenty of onions and cucumbers. My parents loved the bean sprouts because it was really flavorful. The duck bone soup was nice and refreshing. I loved how they - Filet mignon cubes: This is a go-to dish for my family and I love how each restaurant has their own variation. These tasted less fried, but were very juicy and tender. - Sticky rice with BBQ eel: I've rarely had eel in this form and it was SO good. I might even like this dish more than the peking duck, but hard to say. There was a lot of eel and the sticky rice was delicious. The restaurant is quite small, so HIGHLY recommend calling to make a reservation. Service was great and they moved quickly despite how busy it was. I will definitely be back soon.

Yelp
Wow ! Well it is very hard to find in RH/ COI ... however if you love duck it is fantastic! Crispy skin and soft meat with cucumber and little wraps ! The only think I would like the onion cut smaller as I did at home - I ordered at 12:30 pm and picked up at 5:15- but not ready till 5:45! Very small .. wish they could buy the spot next door to expand - better if you speak Chinese- BUT F-ING bomb - PRICY $$$$$

Yelp
WHEN: 1/7/23 Came here for a birthday lunch. They seated a party of 10 inside their tiny little restaurant (even had the big round tables). We got the set lunch that was around $500 and came with lots of delicious food. They're known for their crispy duck and I think it's worth it! The duck skin is extremely thin and crispy and it comes with the traditional thin tortilla to wrap it in. Another favorite of mine here is their eel rice! Pricy but again, well worth it to try once. A great place for a big party but on the more expensive side for sure.

Sienna L.

Yelp
The food was AMAZING! I especially loved the peking duck, and the fillet mignon was also really good.
google avatar

Simon W.

Yelp
Hands down one of the best Peking duck in the 626 area. The downside is they really inflated prices over the last few year (my duck with soup came out to $90~). And just don't have high expectations for friendly attentive service.

Yelp

Yelp
This restaurant specializes in Peking Duck and they can get very packed! Definitely make reservations to secure a spot as they get full for large groups a week in advance. My party of 6 ordered the family set for 4-5 and added on a eel sticky rice. We got the duck 3 way which came with duck soup, duck with pancakes wraps, and duck bean sprouts. The duck wraps were decent, not the best I've had. The sauce tasted alright. You definitely need to order an extra set of pancakes to have enough for the duck meats and skin though. The duck meat was juicy and the skin was crispy. My favorite dishes were the cubed beef which was extremely tender and the eel sticky rice which was super flavorful with Taiwanese sticky rice. Overall a good spot for family style meals and Peking duck for groups. They only had one table for 2 available for walk-ins when I went for dinner, so be sure to make reservations for larger groups.

Yelp
Tried to call for a takeout, but they just picked up my call and left it hanging for over 10 minutes. No one responded.

Yelp
It looked much bigger on the outside and the AC wasn't great on the inside. But they tried their best with multiple fans circulating air. Must make a reservation before you come in and also be ready to order while making the reservation. At first glance walking in, the servers were somewhat snobby but as our table ordered more food and beer, they progressively got nicer by the end of the evening. Even gave our table some braised duck feet to go with our beer. They were also great at timing dishes and different phases of the dinner where they would bring things out as some plates are being cleared and was communicating when the next plate is coming. We obviously came here for the Peking duck and it was super crunchy. It wasn't as flavorful as we would've liked but the sauce it comes with really helps. Generally all the dishes were well made and had plenty of wok hay, where everything was piping and steaming hot coming out on the table. Everything was bold in flavors, with some but minimal msg. We ordered the preset for 8-10 people and the pricing is an absolute steal. We were all plenty full and still had some leftover to take home. Absolutely looking forward to coming back a next time to have this meal again. It was definitely a treat.

Yelp
The most authentic Beijing roast duck in SoCal, if you have not tried this place, just go there, all the other dishes are soo good too. Make sure you reserve your table ahead of time, this place is packed at night

Yelp
Frequented this restaurant several times and I love their crispy ducks on the buns and services!

Yelp
Came to Happy Duck House to celebrate a bday & to try out their duck. We ordered plenty of food which were all delicious! Food was served hot & all had great flavors to it! My fav dishes are the roasted Peking duck & eggplant dish. The Peking duck was crispy & very tasty IMO, one of the better duck I've had. The eggplant was flavorful & not greasy or oily. Other items that we ordered was the spare rib sweet & sour, filet mignon dice cube, sweet & sour fish, sticky rice with bbq eel etc. I would definitely return to Happy Duck House as well as recommending this restaurant. We also had good service!

WHen we have a special occasion or large group of friends gather we'll reserve a table at Happy Duck House. There are only 3 small tables that can seat a range from 2-4 people. It is highly highly recommended if you have a group larger than 4 make an appointment for their large tables and order their set course menu. Their set course menu has $138.95(4-5), $238.95 (8-10), $438.95 (10-12). Every time I go, all the large tables are already reserved. Their first reservation is at 11:30am for lunch and 5:30pm for dinner. Each course will run about 2 hours until the next reservation. We ordered $238.95 for 6 people a week prior and after picking up a family member from the airport we headed to the restaurant. The $238.95 course including the following dishes: Peking Roasted Duck (3 ways to eat) -Peking Duck Wraps - Great, their Peking duck is one of best in the Industry area. The sauce isn't salty like some, so you can add more to enhance the flavor. -Stir Fried Bean Sprouts w. Duck Meat - Great, bean sprouts' unique taste and texture goes really well with the duck meat. -Duck Bone Soup - Great, this is just a perfect soup, flavorful but not oily or salty, just very satisfying to enjoy it. Appetizer Combo Platter - Great, when you arrive this is always the first dish that comes with a foil made geese that fill with black fungus ears, slice of braised sliced beef, braised sliced chicken, and cold cooked celery. Every item has their unique taste and cooks really well. Filet Mignon Cubes with Black Pepper Sauce - Great, fillet wsa tender and tasty. It goes really well with the onion that cooked just right. Sticky Rice with BBQ Eel - Excellent, if you like Eel this is a dish you must order. Chef cooked and seasoned sweet rice perfectly and with slices of Eels on top of it makes it a perfect dish. Eel was flavored not too sweet like many places. Sweet and Sour Fish (or Steam Black Cod) - We ordered Steam Black Cod, Excellent, the meat of the black cod was cooked to perfection, soft and silky which melts in your mouth. Shrimp with Pineapple - Ok, batter is ok but a little on the salty side compares all other dishes. Jelly Fish Head with XO Sauce - Good, a little bit spicy which made the Jelly finish more tasty with its texture. Sweet Rice Ball with Wine Sauce - Great, after a huge meal it is always nice to have a warm sweet rice ball that washes down your system. They are always super busy but servers are also attentive. We have celebrated countless birthdays here with friends and family and I think you can too. The price was really good as well. For 8-10 people and 10 dishes for $238.95 is really a bargain. This is one of our favorite places in the Industry area and will still come back for more steam black cod and sticky rice with BBQ Eel.

Yelp
It's Taiwanese cooking with a unique pizzazz. The servers were kind . The place is small so plan on a wait if you come on the wkd. The sweet and sour beef was good , eggplant dish served piping hot & the Peking Duck was very delicious. I loved the thin tortilla wrap use to wrap the duck skin and meat in it.

Yelp
4.5 stars! Advance reservations recommended for table and definitely needed for the signature Peking Duck, lobster and eel rice. This place is small and cozy but the ladies serving up and bussing tables are hard working and friendly. Mainly mandarin speaking. Every dish we had was seasoned well and served piping hot! Duck lived up to its namesake.

Yelp
Bland. The duck meat is soft but flavorless. The skin is crispy like paper. There is hardly any services. They try but are all over the place.

Yelp
Have visited this restaurant many times whenever I travelled to LA area. They removed the layer of fat from under the crispy duck skin making their Peking duck extra delicious. The restaurant only has 3 small tables, the rest are large round tables. You need to order your Peking duck an hour prior to your arrival. This means... a reservation is a must.

Yelp
We usually come here for a pre New Year's lunch. The duck needs to be pre-ordered. With 4 adults, it's easy to go through 2 duck orders. Everything has duck flavor in here. The bean sprouts with duck meat tastes like it was also cooked in duck broth. The duck soup is definitely rich but not salty. Duck has lots of collagen, so it has its benefits. It's a small place hence it's a good idea to reserve ahead of time.

Yelp
We visited this restaurant in the lunar years eve dinner. They were extremely busy. Some customers complained about the dishes were served too slow but the servants were polite enough to make apologies. The food was good and price was reasonable. Just wished we weren't putting on the bench seat.
